I have been going to Gage at the Friendly Barber Shop for the past couple years now. I had been going to the same barber for about 20 years and wanted to find someone closer to home because I was living in Edmond and my previous barber (still a great barber) is down in Moore. The environment is great, the other barbers are really pleasant to talk to and I get to see their cuts, which are all great as well. Gage has always made me look fresh and clean, with or without my beard and I always walk out looking and feeling better than when I walked in. I highly recommend the shop and my barber Gage specifically. If anyone was wanting to know about the price, it is very affordable for the quality. I have recommended this shop to friends of mine and they have always texted me letting me know they loved their cut. I recently had a really big job interview that I got my cut the day before. I ended up getting the job and contribute how good I looked to Gage for making it happen!

What a great place! A real men’s barber shop in every sense. Super nice guys. I took my grandson in this morning and he loves his haircut! Edmond is so lucky to have this place right in the middle of town.

My boyfriend got his haircut and a beard trim today, let me just say he looks AMAZING. So glad we found such a great place for him to go to now. Gage was the barber and he did such a great job at doing exactly what my boyfriend ask for and then some! Went above and beyond and definitely will be back! The price is even super affordable.

A wonderful Barbershop, They have kept to the time honoured tradition of a true Barbershop. I really hope that people continue to Use this Barbershop and keep them in business. Keep in mind though, they only accept cash so make sure to bring enough cash to pay for your haircut and leave them a good tip.

Been coming here almost 30 years, Todd has been making sure I was stylin and profilin for as long as I can remember, we have talked about my kid cuts, my high-school dews and now in my 30s he keeps my young boys as handsome as can be. If you are looking for kind, family environment you will never beat the quality and service of this barber shop. They shake hands and treat you like family every time!

The barbers engage with customers and each other in banter, making the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. They greet everyone who comes in and seem to recognize regulars. They have won numerous awards/recognitions throughout the years.There are no appointments, but unless you go at a busy time the wait is typically less than 10-15 minutes, depending on if you want a specific barber or not.Overall, the haircuts are fast but clean and what I ask for. I will continue to go here as long as they are open, even if its a bit out of the way.As of January 2019, haircuts are $15 and beard trims are $5. They do not take credit/debit at this time.

They provide a good haircut. Warm shaving cream and straight razor to clean up the the edges keeps me coming back. Replacing their old anti gay quote on the wall was a step in the right direction. Everyone deserves a good haircut.

Excellent place. Came back after 25 years and got my hair cut (I live on the East Coast now). Place is the same. Great atmosphere and excellent guys to talk with. He even uses a straight razor for a smooth shave!

I love taking my son to the Friendly Barber Shop! Severo Cruz did an amazing job on my sons first baby hair cut! Severo was patient and understanding with my baby since my baby was just 2 months old (my baby had a lot of hair)! I really recommend this shop to everyone! I will never get a haircut anywhere else. I take my 2 1/2 year old little boy with me every time. We always get a great hair cut, at a great price, and have a good time. Dont waste your time or your money anywhere else. These guys have been cutting hair for 50 years combined.

These guys gave me my first haircut over 25 years ago, and Ive been coming in ever since. Now my son loves getting his haircut here, especially since he gets a sucker afterward. I wont go anywhere else!

If you want a real gentlemans haircut this is the place to go. All the barbers here are very professional and will take really good care of you.

Great place for a haircut, these gentlemen do a good job and they give a straight edge razor shave. If you dont have an appointment they will do there best to squeeze you in anyway.

I personally regret my choice to visit this place. I was visiting Edmond for a doctors appointment, and had some time to kill. This was the second best reviewed barber in town, unfortunately the first was closed at the time.I wish someone had posted a review with an in depth description of the place so I could have picked somewhere else.My personal qualms:- they were rude (laughing at my haircut choice)- unprofessional (didn’t sweep up between cuts so hair all over the floor, don’t take credit cards)- lackluster barbers compared to what I have had (missed a patch of hair at the front that my wife noticed when I got home and had to trim herself, didn’t blend the sides to the top well)- definitely a “good ol’ boys club” setting, polite if they know you, not super friendly if your newPositives?- The price was a few dollars less than I pay at my regular barber (13 opposed to 20) but you get what you pay for, a lower price at lower quality business.- they take walk insDefinitely will stick to my usual barber from now on. Hope this helps people trying to pick out an Edmond barber.

Skilled barbers, good price, and theyll listen to what you ask for whereas Ive noticed some barbers take artistic liberties at times. However, they make sure you want what you think you want so they have that covered!
