Im not so sure if I love this place, but I definitely like it a lot. Its a bit pricey for a haircut, but the service is phenomenal and I only go to the same stylist when I get a haircut. If you are looking for an over the top experience and are willing to spend a little extra, I would highly recommend.

This happened about a year or two ago, so I dont know if things have changed, but I still think about it every time I get a haircut, so I thought I should share.A few years ago my dad got a free haircut coupon for this place from work. He gave it to me, as he gets a pretty simple cut and didnt find a use for it. It took a bit for me to grow my hair out to where Id be okay with a 35 dollar haircut, but I figured that if I really liked the place, Id be willing to shell out the money every other month or so (Im a college student). So I set an appointment.I walked in there just to be told they couldnt cut my hair because Im a female. I said, yes, but that doesnt matter, as I wanted a male haircut, and you wouldnt have to change anything about how you cut my hair. I was still shown the door.I felt so ashamed and embarrassed having to get back in my car and leave. Im part of a generation that gives the benefit of the doubt to small businesses and waitstaff, so to say that this was one of the most upsetting ways Ive been treated by a business says a lot. It took months for me to feel somewhat confident in asking for a male haircut as a woman again.So if youre a woman, transgender, or support any of these groups, I dont recommend this place. At all. Read this review and stop before even trying. Hopefully someone sees this and doesnt have to go through the same humiliating experience I did. Every other for mens place Ive been to, whether a small business or a chain, has never had this rule. Choose one of those places.

Terrible place. I booked a haircut and beard trim earlier in the week and when I went to my scheduled appointment the lady at the front asked if I was a walk in. I told her I was not and gave her my name. She told me she didn’t see me in their system. I proceeded to show her my confirmation email. Then she said my appointment was canceled because the girl I had requested to do my haircut went away for the weekend. I told her I never requested anyone because this was my very first (and last) time going there. I asked why they didn’t just put me with someone who was working? She told me she didn’t know. She said that I must have gotten a call or email of the deleted appointment. I received nothing!! Not a call or email! I asked if there was anything she could do and she said no but I could email the manager. It was a complete waste of time. I needed the haircut for an appointment I had in the afternoon. It left me zero time to find another place. I’m extremely frustrated with this place. I emailed the manager and still no response. I’ll definitely tell everyone where not to go to get a haircut.

Im only giving this place one star because I cant give it zero. I had to get a haircut for a job interview and my Normal barber was booked for the day. So after reviewing some on yelp I came across Boardroom salon for men. So I made an appointment and showed on time and still had to wait. When I got in the chair the stylist was VERY quiet. I didnt even get a hows your day.. So after telling her what I wanted I sat in silence while she rushed my haircut. When I was done I had to PAY 40$ to cut it. And these are the results. Straggling hairs across my ears, uneven neck line, uneven around the temple area. I didnt notice till after I got home. I will NEVER go back to this place. It looks like HELEN KELLER cut my hair. I had to have my other barber fix it. Hands down worst haircut of my life.

The atmosphere is pretty cool, upscale boardroom feeling but prices are steep and services can be a bit confusing to understand.

Went in for a beard trim, I walked in a half hour early and the receptionist was like what are you doing here you’re appt is not till 4:30 , then I do not recall receiving an email before my appointment and after getting my receipt I see they charge a $3.00 fee for the safety and wellness fair the city of edmond? Does the City of Edmond actually see that money, or is that another way to get money out of your pocket? Well however I have used this place for the last time and WILL NOT RETURN

They did an excellent job on my sons hair! I told them them how my hair had been cut for the last 25yrs and that I wanted something new and different. Ive had 2 styles in the last 25 years. They basically combined the two and sent me on my way. So I paid $50 for a haircut that I couldve paid $8 around the corner.

I was able to call and get right in with a late appointment. The service was excellent and very clean.

My son and I go to Boardroom to get haircuts quite frequently and I always got the best customer service of all the salons I been to. Our regular hair stylist IS nice and friendly, did a great job with his hair. Everyone was pretty welcoming and polite and worth every penny spending here for a good hair cut.

I just came here for my first time. I would say the haircut was a 4/5. I’m used to going to barbers who are perfectionists and I don’t think this was perfect. The lady who cut my hair was super nice. The spa stuff/wax was amazing. I’ll probably come back to experience that again and to try a different barber. It’s expensive but the whole experience was great.

Been going to other places like Sportclips and Knockouts for years. Decided to try a new hair style and grow my hair out and went to stylists around town. Most of them honestly weren’t great with guys’ hair as they mainly cut women’s.Got an appointment at Boardroom and Miranda and I have worked on it over several months and now my hair is exactly how I pictured it. Great place for guys. I have no issues paying the extra money as it’s worth it. The benchmark is fantastic and very relaxing. That extra stuff is great but if you don’t have good stylists then it’s really not worth coming and the stylists here are great. Never had a bad experience.

Great experience. Making an appointment online was quick and easy and kept me from worrying about waiting. Malisa cut my hair and she did an amazing job. She was very meticulous and cut my hair exactly the way I requested; I definitely recommend her!

My regular hairstylist got the flu 3 days before my wedding and the boardroom was able to help me out with an amazing haircut for my wedding. The receptionist Taylor was especially kind and helpful for setting things up and Josh gave me a great haircut. I got more compliments than I have ever received! Had no idea this place was here until I looked closer at the building. Extremely nice atmosphere and even greater staff. The decor is very manly. The lobby has a chess set to play on while waiting and they even have a pool table inside. If you want that manly experience with beard trimming and all, this is the place to go.

I recently started growing my hair out past 1 long for the first time in my life. So Im new to actually needing someone skilled to cut my hair, as Ive always been a clippers only kinda guy. It took me a while to find any place that I could really depend on, to do a good job and also do what I asked. But this place is definitely all that and more. They are very professional and knowlegable, they listen to what you want and input their expertise along with your request, to achieve your desired outcome. The Benchmark is good if you have time. My only suggestion would be to offer a trim price thats prorated according to the amount of time/ effort used, vs. Just charging the same price whether its a 10 min trim or a half hour full hair cut. Overall great place, very clean, upscale and comfortable.

The door says walk-ins are welcome. There were nothing but empty barber chairs that I could see, but I was informed there were no openings today. Im not sure if its because I was dressed rather casually and this is obviously an upscale joint, or.....what, I cant guess. At least I was commanded to have a wonderful day as I left the establishment.

The Boardroom is more than a traditional barbershop. It provides an upscale experience, both in terms of the atmosphere and the services provided. The Boardroom is also more than a chain haircut shop. Unlike those chain shops where the staff is constantly changing and the quality of the haircuts are, at best, hit-or-miss, the Boardroom has a stable, well-trained staff. After you find a Boardroom stylist that works for you, you can expect her to still be around when you schedule your next haircut. Of the stylists, I strongly recommend Irene. Her skills are on par with best in the business, and you can trust that she will give you both quality and consistency. Quality is obviously important, but dont underestimate the value of consistency. After all, you really dont want your friends and coworkers to ask whether you changed your hairstyle again every time you get a haircut, do you?

Place was upscale and the lady that cut my hair was very nice, but for that much for a simple haircut I’m extremely disappointed.

What a great place for men! Finally OKC has an upscale salon that goes WAY past the other clip n cut businesses. WORTH every penny. Nice furnishings, comfortable chairs and superb staff. Made me feel comfortable, like I belonged there. Going back from now on!

I was really blown away by amazing service and professionalism of The Boardroom hair salon. Everyone was very friendly and went to great lengths to make sure that my hair was cut and styled perfectly. The stylist I chose was Irene. She is a true artist with hair and does not rest until your hair is perfect to your specifications. I wanted a trendy mens undercut style, and she knew exactly what needed to be done; she handled the job with confidence. I highly recommend her! Many hair stylists Ive gone to would not give me such a great finished product walking out of the salon, and Id have to restyle the haircut after leaving. She gave me the perfect hair cut and it is still staying in place a few hours later. Thanks for such a great experience!

I was very impressed with the haircut that Maria gave my son on our first visit to the salon. He has really thick hair and a difficult cowlick, so some stylists have difficulty with his hair. I asked about getting his neck shaved (typical teenager - his personal hygiene isnt his primary concern) and they told me it would be an additional $40. So I passed. They gave me a brochure upon leaving. I was surprised to see that under the Express hair service (which is what I paid for) it said precision neck shave as one of the services included, yet neither the stylist or the nice young woman at the front desk seemed to be aware this should have been included in his services. Disappointed that they dont know what each of their hair services include. They only have two hair services, so its not like trying to memorize War and Peace. LOL. I will give high marks for the cleanliness, staff friendliness, the decor of the salon and skill of the stylist.

Haircuts are very good, great service but I was just told that it will cost an additional $38 to have my the base of my neck cleaned up with a straight razor. The same price as if I had my whole face shaved. Every barbershop in america does this for free. Its part of the dang hair cut.

Got a membership and I regret it already! First haircut they missed a big patch of hair over my ear. Went in today one person in the waiting room and told it was full for the rest of the day. I feel like I was judged the whole time I was there.

This is literally the worst haircut Ive ever had. I am so disappointed in myself for going here. I will be sticking to a baseball hat and my personal barber from now on. I will probably just shave everything off now. Places like these prey on unknowing individuals and give them mediocre haircuts for a minimum $40 price tag. I asked for an undercut (with a 2 on the sides, she gave me a 1) and got a lopsided rat on my almost shaved head.

The boardroom is always a first class experience. Ive tried pretty much everywhere in OKC and havent found a place with a stylist that I feel comfortable enough to become a regular. That is until I found Irene. She is hands down the best in OKC. She is always friendly and truly knows how to work your hair so that you always get a stylish and most importantly, a personalized cut tailored to what fits you the best. Its always the highest quality with her. Youre doing it wrong if you dont schedule an appointment with Irene at the boardroom!
