Where do I begin???? To start this by far was the best ideas to do because of the crew!! The captains Ben and Tonya were stellar!!! I felt like we related well and they were so accommodating. Tonya was phenomenal!! She recommended a great place to go explore and made this adventure one hell of an experience. I would recommend and take this trip everytime I visit Destin. We had our reservation for the 9-1 time slot. They were super nice and the boat was clean. Made for a great experience to celebrate my birthday. Even opened it up a bit in the open water there in the bay and even spent some time dolphin watching just off of Crab Island. I would definitely recommend them in the future!

This was my second time renting from Destin Vacation Boat Rentals, and both times were amazing experiences! I had ZERO boat experience before driving the pontoon, and even still they made me feel comfortable enough to be able to make it out to Crab Island. We will rent from them every time!

This place is awesome! My wife and I rented a pontoon and these guys they have setting you up with the boat are amazing. They will NOT allow you to carry your own things onto the boat they insist on doing it for you in the hot sun, sweating, while still smiling and cracking jokes. I would recommend this place to anyone we will definitely be back!

The fireworks cruise states it is on a 34 catamaran. Once we arrived, it looked like a big pontoon. When we asked them we thought it was supposed to be a catamaran they said it was. It was definitely not what we expected and we were very disappointed.

This is a third party boat rental site. They book for other boat rental companies and DO NOT stand behind you when the boat company does you wrong! We were sent out in a boat that was damaged and could not be used properly. They refused to refund our money and provided NO service. Do not use them or Dockside Boat Rentals. We were not offered to bring the boat back...and have not received any refund. You were not involved in the conversation, so you do not know what we were offered...which is the exact problem with using a THIRD PARTY instead of booking direct!

4.5 stars. Easy booking process and transparent/informational website. Fair pricing for 8 hour rental. Had a super fun day and smooth process with several reminders from DVBR that our rental appt was coming. Would recommend to others for rental. Wouldnt let any of this deter you from renting, just a heads up as you make plans: Just recommend to other customers checking your email the evening before the rental, as our pick up/drop off time and location changed. Time was pushed an hour earlier and we were told it was bc the company whose boat we rented thru DBVR closed at 5PM rather than 6PM (which was our original drop-off time). Location change was the matter of a 5 min drive time so nbd. We got a boat from La Dolce Vita thru DVBR, and had a great experience. Thanks DBVR!

Oh my gosh this was the best decision to rent a pontoon boat!!! We rented out of the Destin location at Tailfins. Everyone was so courteous and helpful. They took as much time as we needed before leaving to answer our questions and we felt confident as we left thanks to the instructions and help given beforehand. We immediately put down anchor at Crab Island and we all had the best time! The boat was impeccable and it was truly an amazing and wonderful experience. We highly recommend Destin Boat Rentals.

Booked a four hour tour for our party of eight. Spent two days trying to get info about weather impact for our trip with no info given except their strict cancellation policy by human to human correspondence. Our trip was scheduled for 9:30 am. We received a voice mail the day before asking us to call the office ten minutes before their office closed. Upon trying to return the call, we got voice mail with no return call. At 6:30 am the day of our trip we received a text with instructions for arrival for our 9:30 am trip. After driving 1.5 hours to the check in we were informed that the trip was moved to 11 am. NO prior notice. No chance to stay at our cottage for the day, no chance to book or plan other options. The staff was rude and indifferent and relayed untruthful info to the owner that our party demanded the run the boat tour any way even though the trip was postponed and eventually cancelled for weather. We are NOT upset that the trip was cancelled due to weather...that is illogical. We are upset with the poor communication and gaslighting when we had proof of poor communication: a voice mail with NO info except to return the call with no means to get a response even though staff told us an after ours staff was working from home, a text with misinformation sent the morning of, and an email sent from a spam email address that eventually was found in our junk folder but stated Your tour has been delayed.

This was a great place to rent a pontoon. The staff was really friendly . The boat was great and prices reasonable. Would use them again.

We have never rented a boat because we own one but the process was seamless. They even had a luggage cart to load your belongings onto the boat. They gave a tour/run down on boating procedures that took no more than 5 minutes than we were out for the day.

Today was a bad day ! We were told the weather would pass within 20 min by an employee. We went out for less than an hour . We ended up in a storm that waves were over our boat. We get back to the dock. My husband and friends had to help other boats get to shore while employees were not much help while families were yelling help! It was a very scary situation, which resulted in them telling us no refund and we don’t care that you helped.

8/11/2017, we headed to Destin, FL for 6 hours of driving for a family vacation.The next day, we were so excited to drive a boat for a first time. When we get there to sign up for a boat, they asked us to sign on a screen in their iPad for some safety issue, then they assigned us a boat. A person working there helped us to get in the boat and he explained about 5 minutes regarding the boat (most of information was how to drive and avoid crash). Then he said, “There’s life jacket under the chair and under the corner chair there’s anchor you can throw in the water when you want to stop the boat.” After a brief explanation, we drove on the ocean, having a lot of fun.Our destination, The Crab Island, was too packed with other boats that we can’t drive in, so we just stopped little far from the island. Then we took out the anchor from under the chair and threw in the ocean. The moment we threw the anchor, we noticed that the rope was not connected with a boat. We were all nervous because none of us could swim but my dad suddenly jumped in the ocean trying to bring the anchor back but it was too heavy that it sank so fast. My dad almost got drowned! I threw him a life jacket and he finally grabbed it then my brother helped him to get on the boat.We decided to go back to the dock and explained what happened. He told us he would replace another boat, which was not in a good condition, but fortunately, there was an anchor that is connected with a boat with a thick chain. We could just give up riding a boat after a horrible experience but we didn’t want to ruin our trip like that. So we drove for 3 hours total which is one hour earlier than we are allowed.When we get back to the dock, a person working there said we need to pay $200 for the lost anchor. We were so upset that we almost lost our dad because of that metal.We told them there’s no reason for us to pay. He kept saying that he won’t ask for money if he were the owner because he agreed that it was his fault not checking the anchor and safely connected to a boat, but his owner told him to get money from us since we signed that piece of paper before we get in the boat. I asked him to call the owner so I can talk and explain why I can’t pay for this. He told us at least we need to pay $100. We were so exhausted and my 3 years old nephew couldn’t stay longer because of this meaningless fight. So I told the owner that we will pay but will also share this story to people. The owner was being sarcastic and said “I appreciate that.”I would never recommend this place that has a boat that is not safely checked before they let people to borrow and ask for money for their fault.

Best service ever. Parking was easy. Ramp to boat was great for everything we loaded onto boat. Guide gave outstanding notes prior to boarding. Staff was courteous, happy, and beautiful. Perfect trip on the water. Could not have been better.

Our group rented two pontoons to go to Crab Island. The communication before our trip was excellent, and the service at the dock was wonderful! Every staff member we encountered was incredibly helpful. (And we loved seeing one of the staff members dogs at the dock...we wish we could have taken them aboard!) Crab Island was very easy to get to, but sadly most of the restaurants were not out there yet. We had a pretty cool week, and the water was still pretty cold. I imagine that later in the summer when the water is warmer would be a great time to go! But all in all, a great day!

We rented the Cobia for a full day in late September. Crew already had the gas tanks full and the boat was clean and ready togo. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful with mapping out areas to check out for crab island, fishing and stopping for drinks. Such a great experience we almost booked a second day.

Solid 5 Stars! Overall experience was very smooth - reserved the pontoon online for a 9am time slot. Arrived 15 mins early and the crew immediately tended to us - going thru the contract, loading the pontoon, etc. Family had such a great time on Crab Island!

We loved our entire day and experience with them! Everyone was so nice and so helpful as well! They even made it all fun to learn and check in! Great people! I had never driven a boat and they made me feel very comfortable quickly and had a great map and description of where to go. They even told us about a great “secret” spot!

We had a great experience with renting the pontoon boat for a half day. We arrived into town early and was able to move our time up, which was perfect. When we got out in the water we saw some dolphin sightings, and also a school of sting rays. The paddle board that came with the boat rental was an extra perk that they loved venturing out while we anchored at Crab Island. Was a great experience and will definitely be adding it to our Destin vacations in the future!!

We had a wonderful day out on the bay and loved everything about this experience. The kids LOVED playing at Crab Island and found so many hermit crabs. We already plan to book again next year when we return to the Destin area. The boat was clean, the staff were excellent and so friendly and helpful. Avoid this place if you can, apparently you have to email and call 6 different people just to cancel or reschedule your reservation and they would still avoid answering you until 12 hours before the appointment and they call you then to tell you that you shouldve called this number and not the one listed in the email if you needed to cancel and now its too lateIts just very shady how theyre operating their business to charge their customers for their terrible customer service

They are great. My husband and I took 3 kids on their first boat trip. They helped us load and unload. They accommodated us any way possible. They had a great location in Destin. And the boat wasnt great condition. Very clean. I will definitely rent from them again. And we went on the busiest day of the summer, 4th of July. The kids enjoyed themselves

Despite the weather being a bit chilly, our Captain Ben was WONDERFUL!I had reserved this pontoon boat back in December not knowing what the weather would be, but he made sure to make the best of it for all 14 of us. Ben was friendly and extremely accommodating. Some of the girls in the group were cold, and he gave them his own jacket and shirt. In addition, he took us back to the marina and had more clothing sent to the boat so we could still stay warm enough to enjoy the breezy 8 hour rental day! I cannot say enough great things about the day we had. WE had a BLAST! Thank you to Ben and his Dad for making it fun for all of us! The boats are great, the staff is amazing and we had the best time ever on crab island! We had a shirt snag by loosing our anchor but made a call to the staff and they brought us one and hooked it back up! Top notch service! We’ll be making this a yearly trip and next year we’re doing a full day! So much fun!!!!

This place was great! The Pontoon worked amazing and we had the best experience. One of the best parts about it is the location. Its on the other side of the bridge near crab island and its super easy to get in and out. The boat rentals in the harbor get a little trickier because of all the traffic!

We went to Florida for a entire week and this was by far the best choice we made!!! We had an amazing time from start to finish! The guys who got the boat ready were down to earth and super fun. We got hit with some crazy heavy rain and came in early and they were there ready to bring us in. Mean while doing this with a smile on their face and still making jokes! Def will use this company again.

Spending the day at crab island is an experience like no other. The fabulous crew at Destin Vacation Boat Rentals made it possible. This was our 1st time and we had a crew of 13. We reserved the double slide pontoon before we even left for vacation. On the day of our reservation, the process from arrival to to pulling out of the marina was simple and problem free. Where to begin....reserved a pontoon approx 6 weeks prior to vacation. Received emails with directions to location.First off, when we arrived at 8:20am for our 9am rental, we were greeted by a $10/vehicle parking fee. This was NEVER mentioned in any of the emails. Its a small thing but irritated us never the less.Second, I rented from Destin Vacation Boat Rentals. When we got down to the multiple sea shacks....not one of them stated Destin Vacation Boat Rentals. After standing around, we found a lady who begrudgingly answered our questions. At first, she tried telling us we were in the wrong location. I repeated the address and she confirmed the correct address. She then looked at us and told us wed were at the correct place and pointed to ... S. E. A. Watersports. What 😳?!? This was, again, never mentioned. So we waited patiently, as asked, while they opened up the hut. We were the second group checked in. We waited. We did the Captains briefing but somehow we were pushed behind larger parties and made to wait. It was 9:15 before we boarded our boat, which ate into our allocated time. So before we had even left we had already lost time on the pontoon due the failure of staff to have pontoons prepared and manage tourists. While the pontoon appeared in decent physical, visual, shape....it had obviously been well used. After leaving found out....the radio didnt work...the front gate wouldnt hold closed as the gate was broke due to a bent hinge and lack of screws and failure to have a latch (the pocket latch was broken).After we returned, we were helped off the boat and assisted to our vehicle by a gentleman (best part of our experience). At no time, were we given any further direction regarding checking out or back in.Well...the topper on our experience....we are were driving back to PCB...we received a call from the pontoon rental facility who wanted to know where we were and notify us the boat was due back at 1: 00pm!!! We politely informed her we had returned the boat at 12:45pm and already on our way home!!!Compared to other pontoon rental companies....this one is poor compared to others. We have rented pontoons numerous other times and never quit had an experience like this.With the exception of the gentleman (younger guy) who helped us at the end, these people acted like they were inconvenienced by us and rude (especially the short haired older lady working the hut). They are unprepared for the crowds or poorly time managed not to mention the pontoons are in poor shape.If I could give this a zero star I would.

2nd time renting a pontoon boat to go out to crab island and it was the highlight of our trip AGAIN! The kids love it and this time we even rented the double slides which was a huge hit, even with the adults! Very easy to arrange renting the boat online and quick departing process when you get your boat. Next time may have to rent for two days!

This was singlehandedly the best boating experience weve ever had! Our questions were answered promptly and kindly. We received a confirmation email and later a text. When we arrived, there were staff members eager to direct us and unload our car. After that they loaded our things onto the boat. We couldnt have asked for better customer service!

We ended up booking with these folks last minute because our fishing charter fell through in grayton beach due to bad weather the day before. They were quick to get us a boat the following day and we thought their four hour rental price was very reasonable. The boat was clean and had everything we needed for a group of four adults with five kids. The dock was easy to find and the young folks running the place had excellent customer service. They made sure to go over all the details with us, so when we left the dock we were confident in our game plan that day. Kids had a great time a crab island and just putting around in the pontoon. We would rent another boat in a second next time we are back in the area!

We had a party of 8 adults. The 24 boat was perfect for us. Spent the morning cruising the bay and saw dolphins. Spent the afternoon at Crab Island enjoying the water. The staff was easy to work with and everything went seamlessly. Description given on the website is very accurate. The boat was in great condition. No fuss and just an enjoyable time all around. Would definitely recommend for all ages and groups.

I rented twice from Destin Vacation Boat Rentals. My rental days where on 6/25/2020 and 6/26/2020. Both rentals were full day rentals. On the 25th the boat that was given to us, the stereo system did not work. I call the number we had on file and was told to drive back and get a blue-tooth speaker. We made it to Crab Island and the speaker died. This cut our day short as the vibe was killed. When we docked back I told our boat attendant and was just blown off. As if it was irrelevant to her. Im not a confrontational person, so I just let it go.Our experience on the 6/26/2020 was slightly different. We were more aware of the speaker, therefore before we left the dock we made sure we were connected and working. However, we paid so much attention to the stereo, we did not receive our paddle board that came with our rental. We remembered again once we where at Crab Island and our dock was about 20-30 minute boat ride away. I did not mention anything when we arrived back due to to my experience I received the day before.Our family usually makes Destin a annual trip. In the past I have rented from multiple places. However, this was our most dissatisfied experienced. Just a few details your company needs to improve on to make this a 5 star experience.

I would not rent from this operation again. The employees were all very nice but the pontoon boat was very, very rough.... We didnt discover the swim ladder was broken until we tried to get in the boat at crab island. This could have been a real safety issue. Upon returning the boat and reporting the problem I was told that the owner had been repeatedly told that this ladder was broken but hadnt fixed it. Not Acceptable.

We had a wonderful day. The boat was great. There were 7 adults and we had plenty of room. The deckhand (i believe Misty?) Did a really great job helping with loading, unloading, information, and handling the boats. She was very friendly.

Great deal lots of fun....
