Before coming here I was going crazy looking for someone to service my car, mind you it was an emergency due to me living three hours away and not being able to drive my car without making the issue worse. I cannot recommend Mr. Transmission highly enough. Went to a dealership first where I was told I would need a new transmission and would be better off buying a new car. Went to Mr. Transmission who said he didnt think so. The folks at Mr Transmission went above and beyond, finally diagnosing my problem as related to steering. They fixed it completely and didnt charge me nearly enough. Next time, Ill steer clear of dealership and go straight to Mr Transmission North Decatur. Thanks so much.

Extremely unprofessional, and refuse to cover the warranty of there work in a timely manner.. Technicians cursed me out over the phone when trying to check on vehicle that I had to bring back several times just to get them fix there mistakes.

So this place took advantage of my mom and when we called for a partial refund, they got an attitude. I dont mind paying for labor but paying costs for a service that didnt work is ridiculous. They misdiagnosed the issue and now were out of $400. The issue with the car was the alternator and Im sure they knew that but still charged us for something they knew wouldnt fix the issue. Our car stalled out on us only a few hours after getting the car back from this place. Would not recommend this place to anyone, all they want is money and have bad customer service. I hope you all sleep well at night for taking advantage of an older woman.

All I am saying is after you kept the truck for two months putting in an engine I drove the truck for 2 weeks the truck ran high I brought it back to you you did not change the sensor inside the intake the sensor was $20 I brought you the sensor after that you kept the truck for another 44 days because I was in a rental car at the time leaving me with the bill of 1300 in $85 Im sitting here right now at advance about to buy a radiator because now water antifreeze is leaking out of the radiator and none of this was my problem my transmission mount every time Im backing up out of my driveway I hear the mount and the bracket shift and click no one is saying anything about my experience here I am $8,000 later and Im on my own my intake manifolds are so Rusty that when I start the truck in the morning they it sounds like a race car this is a luxury vehicle Lincoln navigator all you had to say was hey you put a new engine you need intakes I would have gotten them you said to me after you put the truck together that I need to give you another $500 to do what was to be done or what should have been done the first time

Came to Mr. Transmission to see if I needed my solenoid replaced on my 2004 Toyota Camry. Scott was incredibly thorough in both his explanation to us and his work-up of our car. Ended up being able to fix the car with no need of any other maintenance. Done within a day and back on the road driving smoothly. I originally took my car here on March 2017 for a transmission rebuild. Years later with my car still under warranty, I brought it back from a mechanic misdiagnosed a problem with it. The problem with my car was that the passenger side axel needed to be replaced and not the transmission. The mechanic here Scott was very professional and fixed the problem in a timely manner. The service here is high in quality and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who has problems with their vehicles.

I was having some clutch issues with my 2012 Suzuki Kizashi. Its a very rare car and no mechanic has ever heard of them. I brought my car to Scott at Mr. Transmission and he was able to quickly diagnose that I didnt have any break fluid. Didnt charge me a dime! Im a poor nursing school student and this was a huge relief. Great service and very nice people. I highly recommend!

Resigned myself to dropping thousands on a new/rebuilt transmission. Scott let me know that it was simply a radiator leak and could be fixed for under $300. Honesty is hard to come by in the world of mechanics, but Scott is one of the truly honest and customer-oriented people out there.

I brought my vehicle to Mr. Transmission because I had read great reviews and I was promised by Scott that he would try to get my car back on the road for as cheap as possible. It turned out to only be a minor issue and, as promised, I was given a much smaller price estimation when they could have told me I needed a new transmission for a few grand. I took my SUV to Nissan, they said ; $5500 for a new transmission, well it turned out I didn’t need a transmission, Mr transmission inspect the SUV and found the issue, fixed it for $297, I just save $5200, just a honest , reputable, quick and reliable service.. I m so very happy .!!

Went to have a solenoid replaced and was told that it didnt need it. Fixed in minutes and charged me nothing. The dealer wanted $250 to diagnose while my usual mechanic didnt even want to touch it. At least 5 starts. I wish all mechanics were this honest.

I came here to essentially have my transmission fixed for my Ford Fiesta and they did a reprogramming that was meant to fix it, but didn’t. The same day that I came to get my vehicle and paid them for their alleged hardwork was the same day the transmission went out again. When I called back to be reimbursed since they work they did made no impact on my vehicle, they refused. Though they appear to be friendly I would not recommend coming here because we don’t come to places like this for friendly conversation. We come to have our vehicles fixed.

Whoever answered the phone was rude and assumed that my transmission was bad because I asked him the cost of the fluid change. I wouldnt trust them with a fluid exchange.

Scott Hester was great! We drove from Kennesaw to see him. He worked on my fiancé’s truck. Several people had told us nothing was wrong with it. We were putting coolant in it once a week and it was only a 2013. He listened to everything we said, found the problem in a day and had it fixed two days later! I took my 1980 Chevy Camaro to Scott at Mr. Transmission. It would only work in reverse. Scott took it apart and gave me the diagnosis without charge. It needed to be rebuilt for sure. Scott let me know a ballpark and that it wouldnt be anything crazy or climb into a super high dollar figure. Scott gave me a call every day to let me know what they found and what they were doing to fix it. He saved me money and time and gave me a piece of mind with their transmission warranty. Ill be using them from now on for my transmission issues.

My transmission light came on and I took the car in and Scott diagnosed it as an engine problem not a transmission for no charge .He told me I was welcome to take it to my regular mechanic but I left it with them and they had it ready the same dayScott was very professional and I would not hesitate to bring my car back if so needed.

Sold me only what I needed. Mu clutch was acting up, and they could have sold me about $1000 worth of parts and service. Instead they made a simple adjustment for $95 , that fixed an issue that had eluded two other shops. Highly recommended.

I Took my mustang to Mr. transmission due to a stiff clutch. Explained to him the problem was with the pedal.His expert opinion was that it needed a new pressure plate. And I agreed to replacing it along with a new clutch disc since theyll be dropping the transmission. So I paid a fair price trusting they knew what the issue was.Got my car back and days later the clutch pedal started to get so stiff again. Took it back, he blamed the aftermarket clutch. He adjusted the cable and sent me on my way. A day later the Pedal went back to stiff. So I decided to take it to Aamco, they diagnosed the problem being the release bearing and sleeve, and one bell housing bolt. Even pointed out that Mr. Transmission dint put the dust cover back on. Aamco went ahead and replaced it and after driving it for over a month I have not experienced anymore problems.Reason for one start rating is that I paid a fair price for their work for them only to do it in a rush and misdiagnose it. Now Im short $800+. For their misjudgment.

This location is okay I have been there twice and the first time the service was great but the second time the service was poor. I am not sure what may be occurring at this location regarding staffing because there are very few employees here but everyone has different experiences.

The quick story: my problem was mis/not diagnosed and I could have gotten hurt or in an accident on the highway when my engine seized up (at 70mph) and overheated 1.5 hours after leaving the city.The long story: Id brought my car in after the check transmission & check engine lights were flashing at me after about an hour of driving on the expressway (at 70mph) and it would no longer accelerate up to 70mph.Id brought my car in the next day to Scott, and in his defense those lights were no longer on and the car seemed to be working fine. The initial diagnostic test indicated that the Input Shaft Sensor was not working but even that seemed to be fine after he drove it around.So he left it up to me if I wanted to switch out that sensor even though it seemed to just be a glitch and it might not happen again. And I said but what if it DOES happen again?? I have 16 hours of driving ahead of me. He seemed to shrug off my concern. And so I went ahead and had them switch out the sensor ($230) since he offered nothing else as a possibility of what the problem was.Fast forward to being 1.5 hours out of the city, my car sounding a little strange (not accelerating well) and the moment I take it to 70mph, the engine seized up as if Id slammed on the brakes, smoke is coming from the hood, the speedometer is glitching with different speeds, and the accelerator only revs when I press it. I was terrified as Id put on my hazards and tried to safely make my way to the shoulder amidst all this stress.So after towing my car to a much better mechanic in Chattanooga (S&S Auto Repair), Id learned that the problem was that there was too much transmission fluid in the system (over 3.5 quarts too much) and that when the transmission got hot (driving for over an hour @70mph), it would bubble out of the overflow tube and onto the transmission and different parts of the engine. Thus creating the wild overheating and glitching. (Btw: S&S fixed the issue, and my car has been driving smoother than ever)While Scotts team did not create the problem (in fact, they did not touch my transmission fluid), Scott did not have enough curiosity, concern, or basic thoroughness to look into the possibility of my transmission not having the correct amount of fluid.Instead I wasted $230 on a sensor I didnt need to change (since it *seemed* to have a glitch--when in fact it was accurately trying to report that there was a problem).Transmission fluid level is not something I would even know to look for, not to mention how. I am no expert. My name is not Mr. Transmission.Id brought my car to them because they are supposed to be experts, but Scott dismissed my concern, did not find the problem, and my life and others were at risk on the highway.

I had some air conditioner work done on my car several months ago. The guy that worked on my air conditioner took a motor mount bolt out to push my engine out of the way to get to my air conditioner. He must have not tightened the bolt back and it eventually came out. I had no idea what was going but reasoned that the issue was with my transmission as it made this horrible sound when I put the car in gear. I took the car to Scott and let him have a look. The very next day I got a call back that all I needed was a new motor mount bolt.Scott was totally in a position to screw me over but did the right thing. I was charged a minimal fee to replace the bolt. I would recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone.

3.5 weeks to fix my truck, drove it 8 miles and poured every bit of fluid just installed all over a multi million dollar homes driveway. Towed there after on a Friday bc it says they’re open on sat from 8-12....nope. Not open. Truck parked inside service bay so can’t even take it somewhere else. Scott hung up on me when I demanded the truck out of his possession. I wouldn’t let him work on my toaster at this point. What a massive disappointment you are Scott. You should be embarrassed for yourself and your filthy, disorganized shop. Go ANYWHERE else.

Awesome Service! Scott worked with my silly warranty company who put us both through alot of headache to fix my 7series tranny issue. Even when they denied the claim initially Scott didnt freak out on me and allowed me time to fight the system and got it all covered minus my deductibles. Told me to come back in a few weeks to check his work and make sure the car was still running in tip top shape.

My experience with Scott the owner at Mr. Transmission was great. I called concerning a Transmission for my sons car. He inquired about the conditiin of the car, and how did my son know it needed a transmission. After speaking with my son Scott replied that it did not necessarily mean it was the the transmission, but it could also the torque converter. This impressed me because I had spoken to other businesses and no one ever mention the torque convertor. Well he had it towed to his location for free and and deternmined that it was the torque converter. After making g the repairs and taking it for a test drive he called me back and said the rim and tire on the front was not suitable torive, which my son agreed with him. Scott was kind enough to locate a rim an a tire for a reasonable amount. At this point I am quite please with his service. I spoke with my son after he picked up the car, and he was also quite pleased with the condition of the car. Thanks Scott and all those that assisted him at Mr. Transmission. I went to see (scott) at Mr. Transmission for the Free Performance check and he found low and old transmission oil.
