Preface: I just had my engine repaired by another repair shop and it was running beautifully until out of nowhere, after having made a complete stop at a stop sign, my car would not move forward upon acceleration. Needless to say I was disheartened because the car was out of the shop for a little more than 2 weeks and a brand new problem surfaced. Of course I called the shop who completed my engine repairs and I told them what happened. They remembered me and revealed a fact that they didnt share with me when they were repairing the engine: they pulled some transmission codes, but because they dont work on transmissions, there was nothing that they could do outside of repairing my engine. I was dumbfounded! My feeling was that they could have told me about the transmission error codes so I could get it fixed at another shop. Of course I told them that. I guess they felt a little guilty because when I called them back, after having researched the transmission error codes they gave me, I asked them if they could check my transmission oil because I needed to know its condition. I could tell that they didnt want to, but they agreed to do it (it turned out that the oil was black as tar) but they didnt charge me for checking the oil.. So I knew exactly what was wrong with my transmission by knowing the error codes and the condition of the oil. I wasnt operating in the dark. I was armed with knowledge and I was happy about that.My point for the preface is the following:I knew exactly what was wrong with my cars transmission when I took it to Mr. Transmission unbeknownst to them, and I basically wanted to see how Mr. Transmission would treat me in terms of being straightforward and honest about my required repairs. I must say that they were 100% honest in terms of what my issues were; they told me what my trouble codes were and what it meant and what they needed to do to fix it. Everything they said correlated with what I researched so I know that they were telling me the truth. I was very pleased to know that they were honest and trustworthy. In terms of the cost of the repair, it fell within the range that I was able to ascertain as fair based on my research, albeit on the high side--but hey, quality cost and it was well worth it because I knew I could trust them. And so far, my car is running like it did back in the day when it was so fresh and clean! I can honestly say, they do good work and most IMPORTANTLY they are TRUSTWORTHY!Thank you (I believe your names are Derek and Ed--Im not really sure) for restoring my faith in mechanics and fixing my car. Hopefully, I wont have a car note for at least another year and a half to two years!

Im genuinely pleased with this establishment. Hesitated for about 2 months getting my check engine light off but had to give in. Mr. D was very pleasant to work with. Let me know exactly what was wrong and got it done. Reasonably priced and the turn around time was bearable. Thanks so much for getting me back on the road...LEGALLY!!😁

Referred here by the warranty company and was a lil skeptical at 1st when I first saw the parking lot but the man inside was very professional helped me understand everything that was going on before and after my car was repaired. I only gave them a one because I couldnt leave a review with zero. Very unprofessional. Took a year 1/2 for me to get my land rover back. Then it was weathered, water damage all in it. Its going to cost me more to get her back right then it cost for him to put the transmission in. Gee Brown.

Great Service reasonable prices

Super unprofessional My transmission went out 5 months after I got it rebuilt from them. I am warning you not to go here. They just told me they will not honor the one year warranty because of electrical code I sent them from before they repaired it. When I told them to fix everything in the rebuilt. However I just got someone to come and scan it again and the code is not on there. Basically the previous owners did some work on it and those codes were never cleared out. We paid 2400 for a rebuilt just to get it back with knocks and now not working. I agree with the other reviews not women friendly. Try to intimidate women talk down to women and railroad women. Great service and great people are a hard find. When you have both is should be acknowledged and appreciated. I spoke with Mr. Ed Glover and asked him if he could please look at my car for me specifically the code. I was a little hesitant considering the cost for transmissions and all the parts.He assured me who would look at and get back to me. When he did get back he told me that he cleaned the Sigmoid something or another and reset the code and would drive it to see if the code stayed off. It did and I was good to get my Emissions test. The good news is he did not charge me at all.Ed Glover is honest and his service impeccable. I am thankful to him and Mr. Transmission. I will definitely recommend them to other family and friends.Customer Satisfaction is Key in a service oriented industry. This shop and the Covington ga shop Are both in cahoots with one another, as they do not rebuild your transmission, they put in a junkyard transmission and give you a one year warranty on it as that is what the junkyard gives them!! BEWARE & STAY AWAY!!!

Excellent service. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and friendly. The only down side is calling in. It is hard to get to the right person on the phone for they are very busy and the phone transfer has a lots of down time

Disappointed to say the least. Had a very hard time obtaining a pricing quote for transmission rebuild, then finally after having my father call, we were provided a quote with pricing but it had not been idemized.Dropped my vehicle off for transmission rebuild .. when I picked my vehicle up the transmission work was complete but my drive train linkage was off as well as my front end alignment, initially both were completely fine and aligned. I took my vehicle back and the personnel tried to explain to me that my drive train linkage is an issue in the make and model, which is not true. I did not have any issues until they rebuilt my transmission. Secondly, my front end alignment was perfect when I droooed it off, literally just had an alignment with Ford weeks prior to. Not sure why the alignment was adjusted during a rebuild service. Either way, after spending thousands of dollars here I am still left to repair my front end and drive train. Ridiculous! Needless to say, my car does not even drive the same let alone feel safe leaving this shop.

They is bad lost my power steering hose did hook my power steering line had a bad experience

A rare find in the auto mechanics field. This place is the most scrupulous auto mechanic I have ever encountered. I came with 2 potential sources of an oil leak. 1 is an easily accessible fix (the oil pan), and the other requires the removal of the trans-axle. The mechanic looked at the bottom and top of the engine, felt quite sure that the leak was only around the oil pan and recommended just addressing the obvious leak source and then seeing what if any other point was leaking. Most other mechanics would have gone for the big fix. Instead, this mechanic is only doing what is required rather than the shotgun/what ever might be happening, which in turn makes for a long term customer. They even put a 90 day guarantee on the oil pan gasket. I will return to this Mr. Transmission in the future.

I dumped 4000 into my Chevy Tahoe trying to figure out why it was making a clunking noise. I change the engine, thermostat, radiator and timing. The car still ticked. I was driving by Mr. Transmission and I just stopped, poured my frustration out to the mechanic and without hesitation he got inside my vehicle, drove it, performed different checks and diagnosed the vehicle. Absolutely horrible, unprofessional, and poor quality of work. My transmission was rebuilt and not even a year later it has to be rebuilt again. Not only did I give them a second opportunity with my second car but they failed completely on this one as well. Stay as far away as possible for your own good.

I left from Loganville to go have a fun day with my daughter. Was supposed to meet at Peachtree City. I got going down the road and my truck started acting funny. I was advised at Advanced Aito parts to take it down the rd to Mr Transmission. I’d recently had my radiator replaced and apparently they failed to put transmission fluid in it. My transmission is now shot. I wasn’t able to get it fixed there I inched home going 20-30 miles an hour.But I am just so thankful and appreciative of the men that helped me in the office. They put fluid in it and were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you

Being in Ga. for less than 4months was scary when some bootleg mechanic Conroy charged me over $400 to fix my car; didnt actually fix it but damaged it more by causing my transmission to line to stick....took it to Mr. Transmission and believe it or not he hooked up the line and sent me on my way(FREE OF CHARGE!!!! It was one of those days where it was Devine intervention-get with these guys because its a million:1 crooks out here in GA.

These guys are not women friendly. I took my truck there and they told me I would need a transmission,I took it to another shop and they fixed the problem and added transmission fluid and the truck is running great.

I had the worst experience ever I took my Acrua MDX to get my transmission rebuild and they did a Good job but once they finished it was making a loud noise and I was told I had to get a wheel pump that was another $200 ok so I did that and once that was fix I now have two lights on my check engine and my HM4 now they telling me its my computer trip witch is another 200+ but Im not taking it back there I think they make it so you have to keep coming back Im very upset at this point so if your a lady make sure you have a man to go with you
