This was my first accident. If you need someone to give you the First Class service, then Service King in Decatur is the place for you. Travis and Teresa are very professional but will make you fill right at home. My car end up being total but I would differently co-sign on their sevice.

Service King Decatur repaired my front bumper after a collision. When I dropped my car off they said it needed to be taken to another location, but it was done so by them at no extra cost to me. I was updated at every step of the repair and everyone I worked with at the Decatur location was extremely nice and helpful.

They were really fantastic, only a little hard to get on the phone sometimes. But everyone I interacted with was very helpful, polite, and professional. I was informed every step of the way, the vehicle was completed ahead of schedule, and it looks better than before the collision. Would recommend to others.

I can honestly say that I am beyond satisfied with the work done on my car. The staff were polite and made sure to keep me informed of the progress made.Update: So my past experiences were great. But this time I can’t for the life of me understand why you wouldn’t want to fix someones car if they are willing to pay you i stead of the insurance company. I mean the car is already there taken apart and all.....but you wont fix it. Must say i am fairly disappointed

The work they did to my car last year was excellent.But, I used them again this year and picked up my car on 6/12/18 and the car was coated in dust, they barely cleaned inside, and the work was not up to par. I could see where the car was hit. It was sitting awkwarfsly around the light and didnt match the other side. When brought to their attention, the guy came out and pushed in a part sticking put with his hand. ....Really?I could have done that. I was DISSATISFIED and probably wouldnt use them again.Also, the restroom had no soap. When I told the receptionist, she pointed in the direction of sanitizer. Sanitizer is not a replacement for old fashion soap and water.

Update 12/4/2020: I’d like to take a moment to update my review. After my previous experience the manager, Jason Abbott, promptly reached out to me. He listened to me and overall did everything he could to rectify the situation. He informed me the service king is now under his management and he will be doing his best ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.Mr. Abbott reached out to remedy my experience and did his best to help me,so I’m updating my review because I truly felt valued as a customer.9/28/2020: Where to begin. I initially dropped my car off at the Decatur location only for them to turn me away and tell me to go to the Lawrenceville location instead. Well turns out the staff didn’t pay attention as I’m a USAA customer and can only have my car serviced at the Decatur location. So without telling me, the Decatur service king took my car from the Lawrenceville location. On top of that I dropped my car of 9/28 for just comestic damage and received almost 3 MONTHS LATER! For weeks the shop kept telling my car was in the “paint department” and I was wondering when I’d ever get my car back. The shop also did not check in with USAA or the rental car company about the completion status of the work so I had to always update both my insurance and enterprise which was very frustrating since the shop was always changing the completion date! So when it was finally time for me to retrieve my car from service king, the service king tried to overcharge me! I know what my deductible is and USAA is very thorough when they send paperwork, yet the employee wanted to tell me that I had to pay more. So instead of arguing with them, I had to again call USAA and have them explain to the service king information they should have already known. This entire process was tedious and drawn out. You would’ve thought my car had been totaled with the amount of time and effort it took to repair it. They could’ve at least offer to vacuum/clean my vehicle as a courtesy instead they just giving providing excuses as to this whole mess. It’s such a shame because service king in Texas was very efficient and customer service was great. It’s disappointing that same level of work does not transfer to all branches.

I learned that my hands free phone holder falls under the valuables clause and that I should have removed it from my car, since it is missing after pickup.Pros: Marley is nice; my car is fixed, it was cleaned, the shop is under 2 miles from my home; the overall quality of the actual repair is good.Cons: It took over 2 weeks for what a pretty minor repair; the check from my adjuster was $1,400.I called to report that my new hands free holder was missing. Someone checked with the detail person who instructed me to look under the seats, in the back hatch, behind the seats, etc. I did. I called back to say its missing. Spoke with the manager and found out that the form I signed about removing valuables covers the phone holder. Who Knew? No diamonds, no cash, no technology devices, no expensive clothes...Nope. A phone holder.So my rating turns into 2 stars because of the several supposedly scenarios that explain my loss. It possibly fell out during repair and was swept up with trash is my favorite. A brand new 5 star rated (by hundreds of reviewers) suction cup device fell off the windshield and leaped to the ground from the center of my windshield, and no one working on my vehicle thought it might belong to my car. Something as large as a suction cup phone holder may have been mistaken for trash.At any rate, all you will get is a lesson on the valuables disclaimer and their security processes.I claim all the responses roaming through your heads, such as I should have removed it, this is no time in our history to be bothered by a $35 phone holder, get over it, lady, etc. I will purchase another holder because of the careless or shady person inside my car. This is merely information for the person looking to choose a body shop. I can at least hope the person was in need of food or medicine, and was able to provide that by my valuable hands free device.

I got rear-ended and needed my rear bumper fixed as it was dangling sadly off the side of my car. Not only was their turn-around time fast, but the entire staff was wonderfully pleasant and the whole place was really clean. Marley at the front desk is an absolute delight, and Kiry, my service advisor, was so on top of everything and keeping me updated on where the shop was in the process, and when I got it back she looked like new, inside and out. While I 100% hope I never have to have collision repair work done on my little Honda again, I will without hesitation return to this Service King for repairs again if I have to.

I recently moved to the area, but the week before doing so my car was hit by someone in my home state. The persons insurance gave me a list of companies to choose from, and I chose this Service King location because they had many excellent reviews. My car is now repaired and back with me, and I can see why they have so great reviews. Everyone at the shop was so patient, friendly, and helpful. My service advisor was Kiry and he was amazing! He was easy to talk to and always contacted me about the progress of the repairs according to the schedule we set up. Just the fact that I was able to keep in contact with the same person from start to finish was very helpful. I even received a gift basket when I picked up my car and it was detailed, which was a great surprise! The work was done really well and came with a warranty. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone needing repairs.

My vehicle was damaged and needed repairs. So the insurance company had me taken in to service king for repairs. Oh by the way I dont do surveys but I could not pass this one up. Kiry my service advisor was so polite and professional he treated my baby( CAR) like it was his own car. The place was very bright and clean . Marley at the Front desk was vey helpful and delightful. The whole experience was absolutely remarkable service king keep up the good work. So I had my car repaired by Service king a few months ago on East Ponce in Decatur they was supposed to repair my grill and front bumper and also repaint it so I have noticed that the paint is chipping horribly and its only chipping where service king repaired it and also the grill was put on incorrectly so now its falling off so I called customer service to report what was going on with my vehicle I was then told to stop in service king so they could take a look at it once I arrived at service king Timothy Wilt which is the manager from what I was told because he would not give me his name after he Was Incredibly Rude to me Timothy not only was rude but refused to have my vehicle repainted or repaired when I asked him who else could I speak with because service king gives a life time warranty on there Paint I was told by Timothy that there was no one else to speak with above him because he is the manager and what he says goes in so many words and walked off and told me to just find somewhere else to go I Do Not Recommend Service King To Anyone if this is how you treat paying customers and far as I am concerned SERVICE KING DID NOT STAND BY THERE WORD SOMEONE NEEDS TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PEOPLE THEY Hire BECAUSE THATS NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS Timothy as a manager should have repaired and repainted my vehicle Considering I payed my money and did not receive Quality Service only to be spat at by Timothy Wilt

They werent up front about the time it would take. On 2 occasions they said it would be ready by the end of the week. It took a month. I dont mind it taking that long, but tell me thats how long it will take. Also, passenger door lock was working before repairs, now its not.

I was in a minor accident and had to get my bumper and a headlight fixed. They were extremely friendly. Joe was in charge of my account, and he informed me every step of the way. They ended up finding a bit more damage and called right away with an updated estimate of when it would be done. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them!

They worked on my 2001 Lexus GS - included some paint work - which as a 3 stage paint on a 15 year old car at the time is no small task to match up - they did the work in a reasonable time frame. I brought the car home and about a week later noticed some of the panels where they met did not really match. Took it back for them to review and give me their thoughts - they agreed and thought they could match it more closely. Took the car back in and worked on the paint without question and no hassle about well you accepted it when you picked it up - when I returned to pick it up the second time it was a near perfect match - so very pleased that they took ownership of the issue and rectified without question - could not ask for anything more - no one gets things perfect all the time - the quality of a business for me is when you encounter an issue how they respond - and this outfit responded in a very positive way from a customer perspective.

I got into a car accident, and Allstate advised me to get repairs done here. Joe was in charge of my repairs. The car was at the shop from January 2-January 19, 2019. I was never called until January 15, because they needed me to walk around my car and confirm the damage from the accident. I had to go do this in person, even though it was completely obvious what damage came from the accident. I was frustrated because I thought they had been repairing my car for two weeks. There was no communication. My car wasnt even examined by the mechanics for damage until January 17. I was then notified on January 18 that my car was totaled. How in the world did it take them 16 days to tell me that my car was totaled? Completely incompetent people work here. Joe has no ability to answer questions or take accountability for his laziness. I am completely disappointed in this place. I would never recommend it to anyone, unless you enjoy zero communication, mandatory in-person damage inspections, and an absurd wait time. The world would be a better place if this branch of Service King goes out of business.

I brought my 2005 Xterra here when it was still Sterling Autobody in 2008 because a tree had fallen on it and smashed the roof, A pillar, windshield, hood, and fender. The insurance nearly totaled it out, but since it was the rare 4x4 OR 6spd model they said it was worth fixing. Sterling replaced the windshield and fender, but they only patched and painted the hood, A pillar, and roof. Fast forward 10 years, and it’s still my daily driver but the paint is flaking off and the hood dent they patched has slowly re-appeared! I took it back in to discover this shop is now Service King, and explained that I’m still the original owner and have all the paperwork and pictures to show the full history of this previous repair. Curry, the manager now, listened carefully as I showed him around the vehicle. He agreed to honor the previous shop’s lifetime warranty, no questions asked, even though they had no records on file for it. Always save your paperwork! :) They replaced the hood, re-patched and replaced weather stripping, etc, and painted most of the vehicle. Then they detailed it inside and out and returned it to me in better condition than I deserve. Curry was very easy to work with and made an honest attempt to address even the minor issues I presented, for example the blower motor was making a noise because Sterling had left it outside without a windshield and dust had accumulated in it years ago. He took it apart and cleaned it for me, but said at this point it’s just worn out and offered to replace it for me if I wanted to purchase an aftermarket one. I think that’s only fair and really appreciate him even looking at it when the failed hood repair, which was arguably unrelated, was what I really brought it back in for. Service King really does care about their customers, and Curry will take good care of you! Thank you so much!

My car was at the company for almost 3 months cost over $10k to fix and yet the hood is still crooked. its no telling what else may be damaged under the hood. my co-worker had her car repaired and took it to the dealership recently to find out a hammer was used to put the a.c. cylinder back in and now its leaking Freon. if it wasnt for the lifetime warranty I would NOT be bringing it back. And to put the icing on the cake when I expressed my discord with the repairs, the general manager said Well it was in an accident. Duuuuhhhhh! I even spoke to the district manager but he seems to still be very confident in this locations work. I really hope they can fix what they didnt already.

I was recently involved in an auto collision a day before I was scheduled to leave town for a family funeral. As soon as I was hit I called my insurance company so I could speed up the process and get into a rental to make it to the funeral. While the damage wasnt severe and I could drive it home or to the collision shop (which both locations were just a few miles from me), I didnt want to risk driving across state lines. Fearing there may be internal damage that could leave me stranded on the side of the road. I asked my agent several times if the process would move quicker if I used the body shop within their network and I was assured it would. I repeatedly asked if I could just drop my car off when the shop opened and catch a ride to a rental location, where I would secure a vehicle that would get me to the funeral. Again, my insurance company assured me that would be fine. The next morning I arrived at the Service King Decatur, where I was immediately asked if I had an appointment. I simply stated I was involved in a collision yesterday and my insurance company said it would be fine to bring it this morning. The women responded by profusely shaking their heads and telling me, Your insurance company informed you wrong! We make appointments and probably wont be able to see you until next week or later. I was taken aback but stayed calmed and explained I just needed to drop my car off and get into a rental so I could make it to my familys funeral. Again, I was told that couldnt happen. The woman then mentioned maybe being able to get me scheduled with the Tucker location, but she probably couldnt get me an appointment until the next day. The same day and time as the funeral. I then called my insurance company asking for help to find a collision shop to take my car today so I could a rental. She spoke with the women at Service King Decatur and was told the wrong information about scheduling and left me with no options. The women at Service King Decatur told me I can call Tucker to see, but they dont open until an hour from now and probably wont be of much help either. At this point I was on the verge of crying. i went back to my car unsure of what next steps to take and decided to call Service King of Tucker and boy, am I glad I did. The women at Service King Decatur swore no one would answer since the Tucker location didnt open until an hour later, but I did it anyway. I was greeted by a young woman and told her my situation and she told me to bring it right in they could make something work within the first hour of them being open. I made my way up to Tucker and parked, waiting for them to officially open at 8 a.m. To my surprise a young woman came out before they opened and told me to come on in and I didnt need to wait in my car. It was such a warm greeting and smooth process. I was so grateful and impressed by the service I received at Tucker. I was baffled the Decatur location didnt offer the same level of service, especially since i wasnt looking for an immediate fix. I just wanted to drop my car off and get into a rental. I repeatedly said I didnt care if they took two or three weeks to look at it, I just needed to get the process kicked off. Of course, the Tucker location is larger than Decatur so maybe thats why they were able to be so accommodating, but from my experience with Decatur, Ill choose to go anywhere but there in the future. Especially, since they offered no sympathy and were so dismissive to my situation.

Another driver struck my car and had Allstate, so I went ahead and got my car worked on at Sterling. I was prejudiced because of bad reviews, and I almost had a heart attack when they gave me the car back with a check engine light on (air pockets in the coolant system), but they were very responsible and they referred me to their mechanic Car Care One who is very nice and took the time to fix the problem.They gave me a nice gift bag with snacks when I picked up the car, and the damage is fixed. I cant complain.

I recently brought my 2010 Honda Civic for an estimate after a fender bender. The quote came back at over $2,500. When I looked closely at the quote, they had included scratches and dings that didnt even originate from my latest accident. Essentially padding my claim.When I took my car down the street to DeKalb Collision Center, Inc. they fixed my car in under a week for $1,585. Nearly a $1,000 dollars cheaper and did good work. My advice? STAY AWAY from these crooks!

I was in an accident with my 2014 Honda Accord and Service King did not want to fix it because of prior damages. I asked them to tow the car to another mechanic and now Allstate is saying that my car is a total loss. Theo has been ignoring me and I’m getting quite irritated right now.
