I have visited many funeral homes in my life, and I have never been as pleased as I was when they did my grandfathers funeral this week. Tommy is a class act, he isn’t the pushy sales person that many other funeral home are and it shows. I have truly dreaded this day since I’ve been old enough to understand death. The day my mom has to face the passing of her dad. Her hero and best friend. Tommy’s initial phone call at 5am to ask questions about my grandfather, and plan for his removal was the nicest. She literally hung up the phone and said that guy is the sweetest. I had dealing with Tommy when my grandfathers mother passed 9 years ago, and remembered how great and real he was. He smiles, shakes your hand and makes a joke when it’s necessary. Unlike others that have cold hands and seems to of just sucked on a lemon before approaching you.All the staff are amazing from Tommy, Mary Evelyn, Mark, and Rob. They all understand great customer service, and strive to exceeds your expectations.Many Thanks to this team,Justin Snipes

While visiting the town of Covington, Georgia, my family was walking around the area. There are beautiful homes and friendly people....except here at this funeral home. My two girls needed a restroom. I THOUGHT that if this nearby funeral home was open, we might be able to use their facility. We arent from around here and I didnt know what to do. This was the only business I saw at that moment. There was one vehicle in the parking lot. They were open. A lady came and graciously showed us where the restrooms were. While waiting, a rather large man came out into the corridor and asked if I needed any assistance. I told him that my girls needed restroom and a lady directed us to the facilities. He said, REALLY, then shook his head and left me grumbling something. VERY RUDE! I thought there was still such a thing as Southern Hospitality. Not at this place of business. I later thought of how I could have done something differently. But, there was no noticeable place to go potty. And like I said before, we arent from around here. We are out walking. Short of peeing in the grass, I really dont know what I Could have done differently.If ylu are in need of their services here, speak with the kind lady. But, beware of the large man. He doesnt seem compassionate & hospitable. Yes, I understand that they probably dont want to open their doors for public restroom use. I was just in a bind and literally didnt know where to turn. When you need compassion, try to find someone who REALLY cares.

Our family is very grateful for J C Harwell. Tommy and his wife and their staff did a phenomenal job taking care of our loved one and our family during this difficult time. They were very personable and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Thank you Tommy and Mary!

On behalf of my mother and my entire family, I want to thank Tommy and his entire staff for the experience that we had while preparing and dealing with the passing of my grandfather. Back in January we came in to make pre-arrangements for his service. We initially met with with Brandy and she was absolutely AMAZING!! Tommy was very helpful in guiding us through the process and the best order of service. When my grandfather passed, Tommy and his staff did a wonderful job of making sure that everything was done as we wanted and expected. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about the experience that we had at JC Harwell. Tommy, I truly appreciate you and your staff.

In all the years in being in Hospice Ive never experienced any customer service as I did today. The man that was responsible for picking up the deceased displayed a nasty attitude when interacting with our staff and family. Sad to say I wont be referring any more of the families we serve to this company.

When my dad recently passed, we decided to use Harwell, despite a long history our family had (and horrible experience) with using another local and well known, funeral home. We are so glad that we chose them. Tommy Davis sat with our family, explained the process, and worked with us patiently when there were issues with the insurance. He did an excellent job with daddys remains, understood our grief, and was supportive through it all. Im so grateful to Tommy and his wife for their efforts. He didnt treat us as just another payday, like other homes would have. My brother and I will be eternally grateful.

We could not have had a better experience under very difficult circumstances relating to my Mothers passing. I am truly thankful for the people at Harwells and I appreciate the dignity, respect, and very caring regard by everyone who was involved.

Staff was very kind to my family. My uncle had passed and the funeral home did a awesome job with him fpr viewing and comforting the family.
