It’s a very tiny but clean office, hidden behind ALDI, not easy to find it. You need to find Carstar first then you’ll see the sign of Herz. Staff is nice.

I love this little hidden Hertz rental car office. Easy to get to if you are on the east side of Columbus. Never too crowded. Staff is nice. Office clean. So much easier than dealing with the airport!! Nice cars too!!

The manager Dakota bent over backwards to make sure that I was delighted with my rental and with access. He came and picked me up and when I was unhappy with that car he worked to find one more comfortable and couldnt be happier

I interned in Columbus this past summer and rented cars for weekend trips. The employees are all ridiculously nice, weekend rates are good, and they pick you up and drop you off (or even bring the car to you sometimes) anywhere within a 15 minute drive. The cars I rented were clean and had good gas mileage. Highly recommended!

This Hertz is the worst Hertz location. They picked me up from my house which is 5 - 10 minutes away from the location. I got there and realized that I had forgotten my drivers license. Rose, the customer service representative called her boss Chanda Haines to see what the protocol was. Chanda suggested that I take a cab home to grab my drivers license!!! Are you serious??? If anyone from Byers/Hertz Corporate is reading this.....Rose, thank you for asking Derek to take me back to the house to grab my ID!!! Chanda, how are you a manager of a Hertz location? Do you want customers coming back or are willing to sacrifice going the extra mile? I understand my fault in forgetting my license, but how can you suggest that I take a cab back home? This is the last time Im renting from Hertz and from this location in particular. I will also make sure to let all my friends and family know to steer clear of Hertz and Chanda.

Made a reservation, a week in advance, and I called to confirm location of pick up and come to find out the location had changed. No big deal. Trying to find the new location, with no signage nor directions when called previously, was a mess. Upon entering their makeshift office (while I am assuming they get their new one together) a couple was in there and a woman started shaking her head and laughing. That was the first clue. The gentleman (did not tell us his name) who helped us then informed us of a $200.00 security deposit and a credit check. The credit check was to be a soft hit and to verify who we were. None of that information had been told to us online while doing the reservation, nor when I called. Upon the credit check, was declined the usage of their vehicle. If it was to confirm identity why did it decline? Now, me, being in customer service, would have reached out to my clients to let them know about the change of address to the office, any fees needed at pick up as well as a credit check. Not one single solitary call was made to us. What an absolute horrible representation of Hertz. There were four other Hertz associates in the office who would not acknowledge, nor speak, to any of my concerns and questions when asking about why we received no courtesy call to inform us of a location change nor any other information regarding our rental reservation. I saw them listening in, and frequently looking up at us in a way to try to hide that they were listening in. Not until I actually said, Oh, you are going to listen but not speak...oh...ok did anyone chime in. Absolutely HORRID experience.

I received a rental car from here while my car is in the shop. The car reaked of smoke and the tire pressure gauge came on constantly as I put air in the tire all the time. I ended up getting a flat tire. I was told to change the tire myself and that they would bring me a new rental car. Later that day I called back and they then said no they won’t be bringing me a car, that I have to go to them to get a new rental car. This company does not care about the customers and does not care about customer satisfaction. Go to enterprise! Do not choose Hertz! Terrible to work with!

Pick up service was great, on time. The rental car was superficially clean on the outside. However the passenger and rear seats were quite dusty, mud stains on the insides of the doors, some stains and animal hairs on the rear seats. I only found out these after arriving back home. I had to do another cleaning on the interiors myself before using the car.The office location was quite remote, and appeared to be be under staffed. I had wanted to make some changes to my rental, but my numerous calls to the location office were answered by answering machine despite during office hours. And no one returned my voice message either.Calling the Hertz main reservation line for changes was equally frustrating. Firstly, the lady did not seem to know that this Hertz location office existed. Secondly, I had to explain to her that I needed the free pick up service from my home. All these information, including my home address, were clearly stated when I first made the reservation online. She said she had to verify whether I qualify for the free pick up service. So I had to tell her again my address and the Hertz location office address, and then she would work it out with Google map. In the end, she said I needed to contact the location office if they could provide the free pick up! Thirdly, after amending my rental to include an additional day, I had to ask her for the new cost. Wow, it was an additional $120 for the full size car! She explained: my original plan was a weekly rate. Now that my revised rental is for 8 days, the weekly rate does not apply anymore. I will be charged based on a daily rate!!!! Would have given a 1 star if not for the free pick up service.

Had rented a compact, and they gave me a free upgrade, not bad. When we returned the car the lady told us she saw ashes in the car and that it smelled a lil like smoke. So she was gonna hit us with those charges, we dont smoke so shes crazy, and there were food crumbs not ashes. Than she tells us that we caused stained on the back seats that we didnt. I agreed to the charge since i didnt check the inside before i drove it off the lot. They tried to hit us work extra charges for stuff we didnt do, they ate crooks dont go here.

The car I got was OK: it was a black Honda Civic and had low miles on it. I had no problems with it (aside from a faint smell of cheap perfume). The downside of the place is its location. But the plus is the waiting time was zero.

The 669 Sullivant Hertz has been excellent. I had a wonderful experience with a pothole on the coldest morning of the year - and as a result my car was out of commission for what I thought was one day. This location had a car available for immediate pickup for an overnight rental (a Chevy Cruze, clean, 7500 miles), which was a bit of a lifesaver. The next morning my repair guy told me my car would be out of commission another 2 days, and all it took to extend my rental was a brief 2 minute phone call with the associate. Cant really ask for much more than giving me exactly what I want, quickly and easily.Dont fear the location - it isnt too hard to find, and they have a sign posted on Sullivant. Theyre basically directly behind Dodge Park.

Location isnt ideal, but the staff is friendly and reliable. My pickups/dropoffs have gone without a hitch. Once they could not drive me home at my requested dropoff time, so they called ahead and extended my rental to a later dropoff time for free. My cars have been pretty clean, recent models with nice features and no reliability issues. Once you have Hertz Gold Rewards, pickups move really quickly and you usually dont even have to head inside.

They gave me an unsafe car with a bad tire, and then charged me $200 for the tire when it blew out on the road. The tire had a big hole in the side, but they insisted that it was my responsibility. Do not rent from these crooks.
