I have lived here since Oct of 2020, I have to say didnt think we would get in but they made it happen. I would have given 5 stars the only issue, was the neighbors with kids is hard when they dont teach them how to walk in an apartment when you stay above someone. The staff is amazing and the fact since the pandemic hit they really like the help when they can. I appreciate it so much.

The Lory is the filthy. The dumpster and grounds are an eyesore. They charge all that rent and we have to contend with nasty people. My neignbor across the walk way has a piece of paper in front of her door thats been there for over two weeks. I have complained abour the noise above me and management has completeily ignored my many complaints.

We are currently new renters, and so far our experience has been very positive. Throughout the process of looking for an apartment, Amanda was an immense help. She was extremely professional, understanding, and kind. She went out of her way multiple times to present the apartment complex and the amenities to us before and after we decided to rent here. Our experience while working with Amanda presented Lory of Columbus in a very positive light. Since living here for over a month we have been very impressed with the efficiency in the maintenance teams and the helpfulness of the front office. We enjoy the apartment and the included amenities. We would recommend these apartments to anyone looking in the area.

The staff here made the process of finding and leasing an apartment as easy as possible. The leasing consultant, Amanda Thrower, was very hands on and prompt throughout the process, and helped us navigate the difficult task of leasing a property remotely without being able to come to the property in advance. She streamlined the whole process, ensuring everything was available by move-in, and even renovated our unit prior to move-in to ensure we had the most up-to-date apartment possible. Give her a call if you need a nice place to live in Columbus at an affordable price!

New Resident just moved I had a hard time finding a nice apartment in Columbus because I wanted to be in a safe neighborhood. When I called from the first day Corey made my application process smooth and easy. He handled everything and was very responsive and accommodating to me. He answered all my questions and made sure I moved in a timely fashion. While I am new over here my building seems quiet. I love the area because if I want to shop it’s only 1 mile down the road. I’m satisfied I think I made a great choice

I dont know why this apartment complex got a 3.4 rating overall. Ever since moving in this February, I only have great things to say about the staff. I just received great service today from Amanda. Amanda was able to give me an 11 x 7 storage area only for an additional 25 dollars a month. Thats a great price and it is a roomy storage area too. Thanks Amanda!

Mrs. Amanda Thrower did an amazing job helping us get our application completed. We lost our previous apartment due to a fire and were looking for a place to live immediately. She showed us an apartment and gave us the link to fill out the application, and she processed it so we were approved to move in the next day. She was able to explain everything about the apartment complex and answer all of our questions.

Ever since the new property management took over it’s been going down hill. Noise complaints aren’t taken seriously no matter how much proof you provide. It’s as if they let anyone move in now. I’d also like to say our motorcycle was stolen from right in front of our apartment and has yet to be recovered so it’s clearly not crime free and safe. The Courtesy officer doesn’t respond to calls when called and you are constantly worrying about people grilling on their patios.

Husband was relocated to Benning + we all had about a week to plan the whole thing. Being 35 weeks pregnant we were stressed to say the least about the amount of change we would have to implement. We called probably 10+ leads for housing before we drove by this complex by chance. And we are SO thankful we did. We stopped by the office and were helped immediately by Amanda, who was so empathetic of our situation and found us exactly what we were looking for within 20 minutes. She took time out of her already busy day to take us on a tour, had answers to every question we had and helped us apply within the hour. This is the first positive experience I’ve ever had at an apartment complex and it was all thanks to Amanda. If I could give her more stars, I absolutely would. Thank you so much Amanda for everything, we are so thankful for you and to be living in Lory of Columbus!

Great apartments, great views, and I live here, and I love itP.S. yes, Lory, it is a 5 star experience, for what Id say Id the price of a 3 star.Thank you Lory! Our family was in a hard time, we were getting kicked out of a rental from the 1990s and were given 60 day notice, be we just couldnt find anywhere, then we saw here, and it was quite different than what I expected, I thought it would be an old run down looking area for the price, but no! It looked perfectly new, and the only issue Ive had with it was a single indoor encounter with a stinkbug. I cannot thank the Lory enough, we did have to part with our dogs, because my sister had to move to university, but these apartments arent even too far from there! Thank you so much Lory!!!

I was staying at these apartments since 2015 when I first moved to Columbus GA. Its been ups and downs through my stay at these apartments but when the apartments changed to the Lory of Columbus I finally decided it was time to move.1. The staff is very rude and condescending unless you are going to pay your rent. That is the only time you are important to them.2.They started a 200.00 fee just to reserve the lobby to capitalize off of what our rent already was paying for.3. When they first took over it was almost 2 months before they even had a meet and greet. I am sorry but you all already started implementing new rules and regulations and now you want to have a meet and greet so we can get to know you all...little late4. I asked before hand would they be going up on the rent and could not get a clear answer when I went to try and renew they finally told me they would be going up 62 dollars. Which I understand rent will go up in which my rent was creeping every year by at least 10 to 15 dollars but 62 dollars? And why not inform me of that before time for me to renew.5. The grounds started to become very untidy. A pair of pants was laid out in the parking lot and then moved to hanging on the staircase until the day I moved. So you are going up on the rent but I am not getting what I paid for because I am basically for a rude staff and unclean grounds.WARNING...Do Not Move Here!

We have lived here about 6 months, we moved in when it was Greystone at the Crossings. So far we love it, the staff is very attentive and maintenance always comes within the day, never longer. Since the Lory has bought the Crossings they have implemented a charge for the clubhouse, but I think that is fair, everywhere else we have lived has charged for the clubhouse. The only thing that we can say negative is that when it was bought, the new management really never said if rent was going to go up, stay the same, go down. I think communication is key, but with that being said, I’m sure change is hard and they have at least reached out to let us know that they are in the process of changing everything and to expect something soon, hopefully this means addressing these subjects and more. My husband has been in the Army for 18 years and we don’t get to love a lot of places we live, but this place has been one of the best, even with the new changes.

One of the nicest apartment communities in this area. They come with nice granite counter tops and all stainless Steele appliances. They just got bought out by new management and while they have made quite a few changes the new staff and old maintenance staff seem to be dong a great job! Like any other change with new management change is inevitable. I recently went in to renew my lease and like any other resident I had lots of questions about the changes that they addressed accordingly. Im excited about the new changed that they will be making to the pool, clubhouse and gym! Sometimes change isnt so bad, after all this stuff that has been at the pool, clubhouse and gym have been here since this places initially opened back when I first moved in. So being a long time resident I have went through all the changes of management and while this one came as a shock Im excited to give them a chance and open the new staff with welcoming arms! Me and my pupps love it here!

I lived here for 5 years without a single issue. The community is quiet and safe. Work orders were resolved next day or the day after. Office staff was always courteous and professional. No issues parking- Ever. Id continue to live here if I wasnt relocating for advanced schooling. Rent and utilities are very reasonable when you compare to other properties in a great location such as this. The community is great for walking- about 15 minutes to do a lap. A few minutes longer to walk to convenience stores and back. There are also other surrounding neighborhoods to explore. That is biggest downfall- lazy pet owners leave dropping everywhere and dirty residents treat the property like a garbage can. I always see maintenance working hard on grounds and collecting random trash, and pet waste to offset this. BTW- I dropped my wallet one day, and the office called me the next day (maintenance turned it in...with all items intact)- I really value that integrity. It seems the landscape has taken a minor beating due to drainage patterns. That has been rectified under new management- fresh sod is everywhere. Ive been through 3 management companies, but the previous one (Greystone) had the most IDGAF attitude. A true corporate model, as they have so many other properties in town. Still, for me, everything was smooth in terms of safety, security, courteousness, and fast turn around of work orders. The new management- The Lory- has given me a more positive experience than Greystone. Meredith and Kopper were kind and listened to any issues or suggestions. The property manager(cant remember her name) even called and followed up with text on a non-essential inquisition; again complete professionalism and service. Work orders had an even faster turn around if you can believe it! There are plans to remodel the clubhouse and gym, which I am disappointed to not be around for. There have been some increases in rent, door to door trash removal fees, and clubhouse rental. Im in the window where I was not affected, but I understand other comments that have been made. The $200 clubhouse rental has been the largest issue raised. Ive never had to rent it out, so it is a non issue for me. I dont know what other properties do, but it seems unfair to talk bad about a complex because they make a policy change... that comes with the territory. I have no dog in the fight, but its silly to moan about losing a complimentary perk when there are many other places to hold gatherings for a lesser price. So is this really valid?Remember, people write reviews when they are angry or trying to be honest and guide others. I hope my words speak for themselves. If the consistent 5 year experience Ive had changes on move out (coming soon) I will not hesitate to revise this review.

I have a maintenance emergency. I have one toilet and it will not flush I called the emergency maintenance who asked me to do a series of things I’ve already done. He then said well I’ll have to come look at it tomorrow bout 8 or 9. What the hell am I supposed to do for 8 or 9 hours without a restroom? What is the point of having emergency maintenance if they aren’t going to come in an emergency? I will now have to potentially stay in a hotel. This is the worst experience I have had in my time living here I will not be renewing my lease.

Even when this place was Greystone at the Crossings, I would have never recommended this place. The parking here is HIDEOUS. If I have to stay in my house past 6 pm to guarantee that I can park my car anywhere close to my apartment, there’s a problem. I’m paying the bottom floor price & yet somehow still have downstairs neighbors. Now that it’s The Lory, I cant say that I’m pleased whatsoever. Maybe I’m just naive, but I was under the impression it would be the same staff, but that’s not the case. & as previous reviewers have stated, the condescending tone in their notices is infuriating at best.Another thing to think about is the fact that you must make a U-turn every time you leave the apartment to get to the good destination points. Though this is no fault of the management, but this is not a prime location to live. Not sure of the laws in GA, but in AZ we can make that left on a red light due to the space between the crosswalk and the median.Plus, I’m not sure this place is Army friendly anymore since when this place was Greystone, the military was one of the properties “preferred employers”.If I could break my lease without paying ridiculous fees, I would.

I first moved here when the property was managed by Greystone, and everything was great until new management took over and changed the name to the lory. The new management is very rude, and when we were trying to move out, and was giving them a walkthrough of the apartment, Copper started to be very condescending and lying to my pregnant girlfriend. Not only that, but she had the worse attitude while doing our walkthrough. She would open the microwave and just say, “Oh yeah that’s going to be 200 dollars.” She just kept adding up “Damages” that were well with in normal wear and tear, and she did not explain what we were being charged for. So, my girlfriend called me crying when I was in class, because Copper was saying that we caused over 450 dollars’ worth of damages, to make things worse, Copper lied to my girlfriend and said that the security deposit would not cover any of it. So, I leave class and head up there to figure out what is going on. The first thing Copper tried to tell me was that the faint stains in the carpet, which were there when we first signed the lease with Greystone, was so bad that all of the sudden all of the carpets in the apartment would need to be replaced for 250 dollars. The thing is though, this apartment complex is almost 10 years old, and the carpets reflected that when we signed the lease with Greystone. So, I asked for a record of when the last time the carpets where last replaced, and they could not produce this document. Under Georgia law, the landlord is responsible for replacing the carpet every 7 years, and in our case, this responsibility was not fulfilled. Even if the stains were not there when we signed the lease, it would have easily fell under normal wear and tear, but that concept seems to be foreign to Copper. What was really happing, is that the new Lory management is trying to make tendents pay for new carpets in the apartments. Which have not been replaced in almost a decade. This is a ridiculous scam that they are trying to pull, and this responsibility shouldn’t fall upon renters. After that, I tried to explain that the carpets haven’t been replaced in almost a decade, Copper started to get agitated, and then she just started pointing at random things and saying that we are going to have to pay for it. She didn’t even say anything specific, but she was losing her temper and she tried to charge us for random things she was pointing at. Then she tried to say that we had a cat in the apartment without paying the animal security deposit, and it would be another 300 dollars, but in reality my girlfriend is very allergic to cats. She just started to make up things, and abusing her power trying to make us pay as much as possible, because she had completely lost her tempter at this point. After that, she claimed that the black grime that accumulates in an oven, Will cost us 50 dollars. the microwave, which had a few stains in it, would cost us 50 dollars. Then she tried to say that refrigerator, which had no food in it, would cost us another 50 dollars, and on top of all that, the dust on top of the ceiling fan would cost us 25 dollars. You would think that, the cleaning crew that cleans the apartment before a new tenant moves in would take care of these type of things, but the management tries to charge you for every little thing to offset the cleaning crew’s service fee. All this falls under normal wear and tear, but the worst part is that they never gave us a cleaning list so we could fix it. I was lucky that Copper is hot head, and that she started to yell and ramble at me when I brought these points up, because she stormed out of the apartment without signing the apartment back over to the management. So after the walkthrough with Cooper, she was prepared to charge us 725 dollars because she can’t control her anger, or understand the concept of normal wear and tear. It’s absolutely disgusting that she was trying to make us pay almost 1000 dollars because she got mad at me for daring to ask for the document saying the carpets have been replaced in the last 7 years`

I would give it zero stars if I could. This is more about the upper management than it is about the people working in the office. We moved in when it was still Greystone and it wasnt perfect but we liked it. Here are my issues:1) Previous management lied and told the new ones that they had warned us about moving our out-of-commission vehicle, when no one had come to speak to us at all. They then threatened to tow said vehicle by a certain date if we didnt fix it. This date was when we were both leaving town on military orders and they were willing to try to work with us but it seemed like a lot of the answer was we have to check with the higher ups. Uh what? We werent told about this in the first place and then youre going to screw us over because we arent here to take care of it?2) Charging $200 for a previously free clubhouse. Enough said.3) The CONSTANT inspections. Ive lived in an apartment nearly all my life and have never had this many.4) They changed our rent price without notice and it was probably a mistake but seriously? You have the rental agreement on file. Just look at it.5) $30 debit card convenience fee seems like a scam. It used to be $3.Seriously yall, dont move here. They need to change some policies or theyll just get worse. STAY AWAY.

I moved in when it was a Greystone property and honestly that’s why I choose this complex. Greystone offered great perks to their residents and that was one of the reasons I choose to move here, however, since the change to The Lory I’ve been extremely disappointed! We still haven’t had any type of met and greet, and yes I know it’s coming but it’s a little late. They have made paying rent an inconvenience, and yes I know you say “ it’s being work on” but that’s something that should have been done. Now to address the $200.00 dollars fee for the club house, the way the letter reads, it made me feel like, since you guys are enjoying it so much, now we’re going to capitalize off it. It’s absolutely ridiculous to go from a 0 charge to $200.00. So I guess we can now expect a increase in the rent, since I’m sure no one will be renting the clubhouse. I would not advise anyone to consider moving here, look somewhere else. I don’t even have time or want to address the parking here, which is also a problem. Let me say I did meet Kopper today and she was extremely pleasant.Signed.Disappointed resident ☹️
