The entire staff was incredible!! Dr. Lovit was very professional but entertaining. It was refreshing to not have a boring interaction. Instead I was highly entertained and felt time went by very quickly. Austin was hilarious and very professional as well. Lotoya helped me find the location after GPS took me elsewhere. She put up with my frustration but stayed on the phone with me until I arrived. Nicole was very cheerful and professional. Heidi was an angel! I called after hours and Heidi not only answered the phone but booked me an appointment after hearing my issue and how many different dentists had turned me away or cancelled on me last minute. I did not get the front receptionists name but she was also very friendly and professional. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a pleasant experience at a dentists office before and will not use anyone else!

I have been seeing Dr. Lovit for 14 years after moving to South Carolina. There are not enough good things I could say. He is one of those rare Doctors that cares about the whole person. He is superior at what he does and explains what is going on and what your options are. He is up to date with the newest and best treatments. He is on time, you won’t be waiting forever in the reception. With any procedure, those that may involve any concern of discomfort or pain, Dr Lovit makes you feel calm and comfortable, always checking in on how you are feeling. If you have an emergency you will be given an appointment right away. He is personable yet professional. I used to live just minutes away from his office. After moving much further away, I am happy to make the drive. The hygienists are all friendly and professional. Your teeth will sparkle. Equally as important, he is skilled in recognizing related health issues caused by concerns with your teeth and gums. He will address it and if it requires seeing a specialist, he will recommend one he trusts. I am really grateful for his continued care of my dental health.

I recently had 3 teeth pulled, needless to say I was scared as i am a scaredy cat. Dr Lovit was very as gentle as he could be considering & I left there no worse for the wear. Im 74 years old & that says a lot, cause Ive been thru a lot.

Dr. Lovit has been my dentist for 30+ years. He has always kept up with the science and shown interest in my health. I currently have Dawn as my usual hygienist. She asks questions and cleans thoroughly Front office staff are efficient and friendly as well. I would highly recommend this practice

After being a patient for a few years, I made an appointment to have my broken tooth looked at. I have insurance, 2 different ones and did not owe a single penny to Dr. Lovitts office. Prior to this visit my last visit consisted of the front desk telling me I did not have insurance, which I did and they ended up PAYING their portion along with my secondary insurance and I paid the remainder of the bill when I received it. Today when I arrived for my appointment I was examined and informed I needed a filling temporarily and then eventually a crown. Dr. Lovitt gave me an injection to numb the area to fill my tone The WONDERFUL hygienist, the only GOOD thing about that place, asked if I need to know the cost and I told her about my insurance and she went to the front desk to make sure they had that information. When she came back she said you will owe $58 after insurance pays and I said they are going to bill me right? She went to check and informed me no, I had to pay today and I advised her I did not have the money today as it was an emergency visit. She went to tell the front desk and they told me if I didnt pay then I had to reschedule. SO, with a numb mouth, I was forced to get out of the chair, go up front and there stood Dr. Lovitt who said, sorry, policy, which it has never been before. I HAVE NEVER been treated with such disrespect, especially since Dr. Lovitt knows I have PTSD and usually have to have nitrous for procedures. HE let me leave after putting me through the stress of starting treatment without nitrous and not even fixing my tooth. My mother also sees him and neither of us will be returning. RIDICULOUS to treat someone that way. The front desk is clueless, Dr. Lovitt should rethink his profession if he wants to put someone with PTSD through what he did and ask like a pompous jerk.

Do not recommend this practice if you are a federal employee and have fep bcbs - our insurance was billed incorrectly twice. An incessant battle has been going on for months. The staff has been very rude and aggressive, rather than assist with fixing the problem (which was ultimately the practice’s fault). We will pay a final, smaller bill just to end our relationship and move on with our lives, even though we should owe nothing on a routine cleaning by the terms of our insurance agreement.In summary: crooked practice, beware.Edit: the practice reached out after this review to inform us our bill was settled and no amount was due.

Had the same dentist for 35 years in my NYC - NJ life, relocated to the Palmetto State and after several years, on recommendation from my clergy, started seeing Dr. Lovit.He is outstanding, a master at PAINLESS (YES, PAINLESS WORK ESPECIALLY THE NUMBING PROCESS!!!!) and even though hes a Red Sox fan........he is the BEST DENTIST I have ever had.Even called my former dentist up North about Dr. Lovit!!!!!!!!

Ive was a patient for approximately 8 years but had to leave due to insurance changes. Im back after less than 2 years away following another insurance change. Dr. Lovit is professional and good at what he does. I enjoy the friendly conversation with him and staff. Ive experienced cleanings, fillings, a crown, and a root canal during my time with him. All have gone smoothly. The assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff are also kind, friendly, and on top of their jobs.

Office staff considerately worked me in on short notice. Dr. Lovit competently, professionally and impressively took care of a pressing issue and removed a tooth so smoothly, I hardly knew when it was done. His commentary on the situation was helpful and reassuring. Well done.

I received a text from Dr. Lovits office asking me to please call as one of the dental hygienists has a family emergency. My daughter and I both had appointments scheduled at the same time. Originally, they asked if we could change our appointments to later in the day, which would have been fine. Instead, I was told to come on in and they would clean our teeth back to back. We arrived on time with one other person entering at the same time. I am not 100% sure, but it sounded like the other patron was being worked in as well. My daughter was called ahead of me, which was fine. Two other people arrived and were also waiting. One was called back and left before my daughter came out. My daughter returned after 30 minutes. I sat for another 15 minutes before I asked about checking her out. The front staff assured me that I was next as another patron was checking out at that time. There were three employees sitting in the reception area, all on computers. One was wearing her mask, one had her mask below her nose, and the other had no mask at all. I returned to the waiting area. Someone came out and took the other waiting patron who arrived after I did. After another 10 minutes, I got up and left. I will NEVER return to Dr. Lovit. My daughter said that he was rude to Dawn (hygienist) who was doing the best she could to run three chairs. When I got up to leave, none of the three employees said a word to me. They could have at least said sorry or even apologized about not being able to get to me. They were very unprofessional.

This dentist office has all the latest technology and was the first time I had ever seen some of the instruments. The hygienist was very thorough, yet gentle. Also, Dr. Lovit seemed to be very genuine and nice. I could hear him throughout my initial visit, talking to some of the patients. It was almost like he knew them personally, asking them about details of their lives in a way that demonstrates how personable he is and how much he listens to his patients. He obviously cares about them, enough to remember their stories. I appreciate that. He took a few moments to get to know me a little before we moved on to business. Ive been wanting a dentist that I can trust to only do the work that is necessary, and have confidence in to do the work with quality. I am happy with my choice to switch to Dr. Lovit as my dentist and highly recommend him.

Had an appointment scheduled for today but they decided to cancel and allow someone else to book the slot without giving me any notification. I received two text messages this morning confirming the appointment but when I arrived today I was told my appointment was cancelled because I did not provide them updated insurance information. What an absolute joke. Will not be going back to Dr. Lovits office.

Ive always had a very good experience at Dr. Lovits. I used to be VERY afraid of going to the dentist. I didnt take care of my teeth when younger. Thus, Ive had to have MANY extracted. But, Dr. Lovit has never made me feel ashamed about MY lack of care.

Staff is very friendly and professional

I’ve been seeing Dr Lovit for over 5 years and would recommend him to others. The staff is pleasant, and they are pretty good at staying on schedule. I’ve never had any billing issues. Their equipment is all pretty modern. I can be in and out of a cleaning within 30 minutes. They push the electronic toothbrush pretty hard, but I think they’ve accepted that I’m not going to buy one, so they don’t give me the hard sell anymore.

Extremely disappointed about Rebekah leaving your practice and guarantee whoever you get will not be better than Rebekah. She is extremely knowlegable about dental insurance and is extremely professional and always polite and friendly to the patients. A lot of your retired government patients will also be disappointed and could possibly leave your practice. She has to come back and be professionally well compensated. Rebekah is an important part of that practice.

After that appt I decided to switch over from previous dentist to his office for my routine care.I had my first cleaning today with Dawn and she was awesome. Im a new patient. Everyone is really nice, and very professional. I was with Sandhills Dentistry for about 13 years, and decided to switch. Shannan is a good friend and an awesome hygienist. She was a bit aggressive, but not too bad. I have some dental issues, so sometimes the cleanings tend to have to be that way Dr. Lovit is very nice and is going to put a temporary crown on a back tooth that Sandhills Dentistry messed up. I wish I could say I was looking forward to that, but heck, who looks forward to any drilling. Just as long as Im comfortable numb.
