When an issue arose with my vehicle that was outside the scope of services that my usual mechanic shop that I trust and rely upon provided, they recommended that I take it to a specialized shop. Knowing that AAMCO is a nationwide chain, I thought it would be a good place to start. When I dropped off my vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit me in because of how busy they were.Mike was nothing but kind, professional, and courteous. He communicated with me throughout the diagnostic process and what could easily have been a $1000+ problem, was a very simple adjustment that he did not charge me a dime for. My wife and I visited Colorado Springs a few weeks ago for vacation from Dallas TX, and we had a scare with our car. It is an older car, 2010 Mazda6 with higher mileage around 148k. We were in a pinch as Colorado Springs was not our final destination, but we were taken care of in a mighty way! Our car was looked at and long story short nothing was wrong. We were not billed for this even though we took up several hours of their time. These guys have high integrity and treat their customers honorably. I recommend this place to anybody!

I live in South Texas but my son who lives in Colorado Springs had borrowed my truck. Unfortunately the transmission went out on my 2006 f150. This is the most honest and trustworthy repair shop I have ever dealt with. I have a car with a lot of issues, and I know Mike and Paul will take care of me and not overcharge or steer me wrong. I was not impressed with how Mike handled my concerns.I had an appointment for a vehicle to be towed there for their free inspection early AM and was informed I would have an answer before close that day.I was not contacted by them by 3pm the next day, so I felt forced to check in on them.When Mike answered the phone, he said they STILL hadnt looked at it, then asked if I could be put on hold.After 5 minutes he came back and said it would be $3,000 to fix the vehicle.That was the end of my business with this company.

A friend took truck here for service. AAMCO left truck outside and unlocked, very expensive camera was stolen. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS, this is stated clearly on plenty of signage. Just know this means more-so that they will be outright neglecting the security of your vehicle and anything left inside. Your vehicle will be left unlocked in a publicly accessible area! Would highly recommend using any other company, maybe even a different AAMCO location, but definitely not this AAMCO

Just looking for an answer on my 07 Mercedes, it was dropped off at 10:30 this morning for a free diagnostic and external check, and when I made the appointment on Saturday a few days prior, was told it would be done around 2:30. I called at 4 since no one had called to let me know it was done and Paul told me they were still looking into it and would give me a call when they are done. I looked online to see that they closed by now at 5:30 and left a voicemail since no one is answering my calls now, Im at a loss what to do or how to communicate with the owner. I wasnt expecting to leave it overnight, especially since a diagnostic check shouldnt be more than a day long and frankly Im concerned. Mike said he would communicate with my extended warranty I had already bought into somewhere and see if Im covered for any work to be done and if not Id rather not have my car left overnight for no reason. I would LOVE to have the work done here from all the great reviews and credit that has been given and not to mention its walking distance close to my home, but this is really unacceptable and Im looking to get an answer from someone.

I drove to Colorado from California and began experiencing transmission problems in my 2013 Chevy Tahoe. Once I found out I needed a new transmission or a rebuild, I called shops from Colorado Springs to Denver. The quotes I received were thousands of dollars higher than I could get it fixed back home and the estimated repair time was a week before they could complete the repair. I called Mikes AAMCO and he quoted me a fair price range if he needed to repair the transmission. After dropping it off, he had the transmission out in several hours and a diagnosis of the problem and cost of repair. Mike, the owner, called me personally hours after the shop had closed and sent me pictures of the damaged trans components. He repaired the transmission for a great price and had it completed in 2 1/2 days. After picking up the car, I drove 1200 miles back to California and it drove great without a drop of fluid. And, I have an AAMCO warranty that is good in California. Mike has a great shop that is honest and professional. They are supporters of law enforcement. Thanks again Mike.

My car has been there since last Saturday, and I had to be the one constantly calling for updates nobody would ever call me. I was told first it would be ready by Thursday early Friday which was fine, and when I called on on Thursday on Friday morning they had said they just had received me part which is completely unexpectable. Now here we are today and my car still isn’t ready nobody ever gave me updates on what was going on it was me constantly calling and trying to figure out what was going on. Needless to say after today and Paul helped me out a lot my car will be ready by Monday morning and I very very much appreciate that!! I would def recommend them. I know life gets busy and I 100% understand so thank you guys so much for understanding me.

Definitely the place to take your vehicle! I had my transmission rebuilt here and the service from start to end was great! They did an excellent job with communication and laying out the options I had. Mike who I spoke with was polite and awesome at explaining everything to me. They were even able to finish the rebuild a day earlier than planned. I also felt there were no surprises in fees or the costs; they were upfront and straight forward about what price I was looking at. I will be using them again if something does come up or even for more general labor on my vehicle.

Other mechanics will try to squeeze you for every penny they can, but Mike never even once made me concerned that it would happen to me. He was so kind and honest. Had my daughter take her car in for a transmission rebuild. She was quoted a fair price so we decided to let them do the work. Knowing a rebuild is a complex process we knew it would take some time. After dropping it off we were told it would take 5-7 days before it would be finished. Well that turned into 16 days. I know they were busy and we had heard they had a couple of guys move on that worked for them. I can understand that and it would have been more acceptable to let us know what was going on. It was the days after the date of when it was supposed to be finished that were frustrating. We went five days with the expectation it was going to be fixed and ready for pickup the next day. So communication with the customer needs to be improved. On a good note my daughter has her car back and it runs great. This experience would not deter me from using them again. They just need to communicate a little better with the customer. Just wanted to add they gave my daughter a credit for two oil changes for future use. Being in college and on a limited budget this will help her out a lot.

Julius Edwards, the Customer Service Manager at AAMCO is a top notch no nonsense professional who keeps customer service at the fore front of this business. Upon my first meeting with Julius to drop off a van that needed a diagnostic check ran on it, I was greeted in a timely, warm and friendly manner. On top of that there was no charge for the diagnostic check!!!! He explained the work that needed to be done on the vans transmission in detail and an accurate cost estimate. What I also liked was that Julius, in no way was pushy nor did he try and over sale me on getting the work done. That cannot be said of a lot of businesses today. Julius is a straight shooter and supports the customers decision with sincerity, Kudos to Julius and the team at AAMCO.

Mike the owner is really a fantastic person. In all of my years of having car repairs and moving from one state to the next no one has stood out as outstanding as this one does. Her review is as follows: I am an elderly widow who recently had some serious transmission issues. When I had my car towed to Aamco for repairs, Mike (the manager) greeted me very professionally. He completed the repairs and I couldnt be more happy and satisfied with their work! In my more recent returns there for more maintenance and repairs, I feel like Mike treats me like his own mother. Mikes professionalism and friendliness are rare in the auto repair business.

I was leaving work when what I thought was my transmission went out. Had my Tahoe towed to AAMCO. They were getting ready to close but waited for my vehicle to arrive. I told them what had happened, Steve said he would get back with me the next day and he did! Turns out it was my transfer case. He explained several options for repair/replacement and cost for each. I gave him the go ahead and had my vehicle back in two days!! Because of their honesty and service we took my husbands truck in for service. Again we had it back in two days! His truck is now running as smooth as the day we bought it! I highly recommend AAMCO if you want honest service and repair at a fair price!!

My Chevy Silverado broke Monday morning unexpectedly. It wouldnt shift into park after moving it into my driveway. Im new to Colorado Springs, so I searched Google and AAMCO had really great reviews. Last Friday afternoon I was traveling up I-25 to Denver when my Check Engine light came on, so I took a quick exit at West Garden of the Gods. I have used this AAMCO location twice and have had awesome service in all areas. I am treated like a queen and my car is very happy and I am totally confident in these folks. I would always recommend this AAMCO. Julius, the manager (I think), is hands down one of the best customer service oriented persons I have had the pleasure to deal with in a very long time. By the way, this included replacing the transmission in my 20 year old car 6 months ago. The price for that was very fair and accomplished in a short time span.

Aamco Transmission in Colorado Springs is also a full fledged repair shop as well. I had my Mazda transmission replaced there. I saved over 2000.00 from what the Mazda dealer wanted to replace it. They have also worked on 3 other vehicles for me. I wished I had found them sooner. Everything they have done for me has been done correctly and reasonably priced. I have been a customer since May of 2018. I wont go to anyone else from now on.

We’ve been taking our work vans to this aamco for over 30 years. We always get the best work at the lowest prices in town. All of the work is always done extremely well and we never have any issues. Recently we had a van that needed a new transmission and mike the owner bent over backwards to make sure we were on the road again as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend using this aamco and we will be customers for life.

After being stranded in the middle of Garden of the Gods road and having to go to the nearest car shop to get the car in which I was borrowing’s battery fixed, I rushed into this shop and practically begged the gentlemen in there to fix it up for me without any call in or notice. Not only did they do so on a busy and tight schedule, they calmed me down and made sure the car was completely drivable. Completely friendly and kind the whole time unlike most car shops I’ve been to. Had a great experience at the Garden of Gods location. I had my transmission rebuilt through Aamco 4yrs ago, and no problems until the transmission started to leak really bad. I work a mile up from the Garden of Gods location so I ran down on my lunch break to see what the problem was. Walked in and was greeted by Mike and the General Manager Mike. Explained what was going on, handed over my keys they got it up on the racks. Mike came back in 5 minutes later and explained what was causing the leak. Told me to bring it in on Saturday and they would take care of it. AWESOME customer services. Thank You

Excellent shop to get vehicle repairs done

You dont often hear the word honest and mechanic used in the same sentence, until now. Mike at Aamco is the most honest mechanic that I have ever used!! My T-Case was throwing errors every time I put the truck in 4WD. The Chevy stealership said I needed a new T-Case at $3K. Other local shops were quoting around $1K. After calling around I decided to have Aamco take a look. Mike called me with the good news right before Christmas. The T-Case had a bad sensor and it would only run me around $100. I truly believe other mechanics would have taken advantage of the situation, but not Mike. I will never take my vehicles any other place than to see Mike at Aamco!! Thank You Mike!!

Steve is fantastic. I used this facility back in July for my transmission repair. I drove across the countryside to Florida and was slightly out of warranty and Steve authorized the repair of my failed transmission here in Florida. Steve at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care, 432 W Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, CO has been fantastic for my wife and her car. We took her car in for a transmission rebuild and he did a great job. An additinal problem arose and he did a super, professional job of diagnosing and solving the problem. I am now going to take my car in for his expert diagnosis. Recommend highly!
