After the final serviceman came and repaired our refrigerator I feel the need to update my previous one star review.Dennis(the man who repaired our refrigerator) was friendly, thorough and completed his work in a professional manner. Actually the first gentleman who came out to our house to evaluate the refrigerator seemed very competent as well .However it was an absolute nightmare over the phone trying to clear up a problem. The serviceman did not show up on the scheduled day. We spoke with various people on the phone who had no idea what was happening on this end. We continually received misinformation from individuals who spoke broken English. Received several texts that were contradicting each other and completely inaccurate . It would have been funny if it were not so frustrating . This was after extened periods of time on an automated endless loop. When we were given a new repair date we werent even sure the person the phone knew what they were talking about.We were without a refrigerator for 2 and 1/2 Weeks which is not the end of the world and it didnt cost as much as we were originally quoted.Even though it worked out and we were happy with the workmanship I doubt we would go back to Sears because it was so very difficult getting answers..

Very, Very Pricey! So it is stated that Sears has a $99 diagnostics fee. Well they also have a $151 solder the wire fee!!!!! Yes indeed, dont think the service guy was here for an hour. But the total was $250, so that soldered wire is what they will cover for 90 days, one hour labor cost $250 with a 2 minute solder!! Last time Sears!!!But HEY! Guess what, they offered a 50% off deal, if I sign up for a complete appliance warranty program at $50 a month. But I will still have to pay 75% of the repair charge?? Will have to review the warranty info when I get it. But Im thinking I might get screwed and Sears didnt even give me flowers or chocolate! Hells Bells, 50 x 12 = $600 a year and I would still have to pay 75% of the Bill! Think I will cancel ASAP!!

Well, after four trips to assess and repair our fairly new refrigerator, it was finally fixed. At least we think it has been fixed. But we will continue to assess the freezer and refrigerator temperatures for several more weeks. At that time we will rest a bit easier. This has been a long haul and we hope and pray that our fairly new refrigerator will make ice and remain cold as it is suppose to function. The last repairman, whom made several trips to our home, is a true professional and we loved his service. Thank you !

Getting technicians out within a couple of days is good but it takes up to two weeks to get parts! AND I had our tech cancel our first delivery and never showed (no cancellation call) for the next appointment. Its difficult to get through to anyone since 90% of their customer service is automated. This is the core of their problem and weakness in their customer service. Once the technician is FINALLY fixing your appliance they do a great job

Overall all our experience was great. Our repairman arrived on time and not only found the problem but had the part in his van. This could have set us back a week, which is a big deal to be without a washer. He also did the preventive maintenance on our dryer and left the place spotless. Please let him know we are extremely happy with our experience and have been and will remain a loyal customer to Sears. Thank you again.

Built in Microwave handle loosened and could not be tightened on Kenmore wall unit. New door had to be ordered. 6 weeks later door was replaced and falls open, creeks, unit was damaged where door hinges are and they are crooked, left without telling us and left us to dispose of door he replaced. Waiting for Manager to call back on replacement, no call yesterday when promised and no answer, had to leave voicemail in appliance department.

I live in the foothills and its very difficult to find service people willing to come to my home for repairs. Sears has been my go-to company over the years and this last repair for an AC unit did not disappoint. The service technician was prompt, gave updates on when hed arrive, quickly assessed the two problems, one of which he could fix and get the cooler running and another which required a part he didnt have, but he was back in two days with it and the cooler is performing perfectly. Great job, Phillip!

Our service man was on time and courteous. He was very impressed with the age of our snow thrower (15 years).He told us that they dont have parts for it anymore but he was able to take care of our situation which was removing the wheel and re inflating the tire.We were very happy because now we can remove the snow from our driveway. Were senior citizens so its important for us to be able to get out in an emergency.

We have been getting our product service by Sears for many years now, and their service has always been exceptional! The staff that comes into our home is always very respectful and courteous. They always try to take precautions as to not damage anything and even go as far as to putting liners on their shoes especially during the winter.

Repairs were done to the water heater but when opening the water heater closet he only opened one latch (2 latches) then proceeded to open the door which tore the door off the frame. No acknowledgement of damage or offer to repair. Whats up with that? Its been repaired, thanks for the servicing.

The repairmen are great, but the service in general is lousy. It has been months to repair our refrigerator. They keep having to come back because of such things are wrong parts sent, and they are so busy it is difficult to get timely appointments.

Awful...Nine 9 appointments from the appliance repair service from July 6, 2017 to 10/31/2017 and my ice maker still is not working properly - I have to put a piece of duct tape on the light switch in the freezer in order for the thing to produce Ice!! Was told today I would have to make yet another appointment - can not get a replacement even though my fridge is only 2 years old!!! Will never never buy from Sears and will NEVER buy a extended warranty they are worthless.

For over 20 years I have relied on Sears to accurately and promptly complete repairs. After 5 service calls over a 30 day time period the unit is still broken and different messages are delivered by the provider and Sears. The technician is very friendly though.

Everything was fine until we received a bill for the service we paid cash for. The technician apparently didnt bill our service properly so on top of spending over $200 for out repair we had to also spend a extra $10 to mail a dispute letter attached with the reciept of services paid for. We were told that if we would of purchased the warranty that we wouldnt have to write a letter and was also told that the technicians supervisor would call us. That never happened. We just received our second bill with a late notice on 2/24/17. They received out letter on 2/6/17 I know this because i spent the $10 to send it certified.

I have an old Kenmore Dryer Ultra heavy duty electric that stopped drying clothes. I was able to get a service call scheduled for the same day that I called in the request, the service tech showed up within the time frame given by the appointment scheduler, he diagnosed the problem - failed heating unit, and had the replacement part in his truck. Service call maybe lasted 20-30 minutes. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable tech, cleaned up his work area afterwards. It was a remarkable set of events that seemed to fall into place that day. I would schedule another appliance service call with Sears.

My Kenmore Washer has never washed correctly, its a hit and miss. After talking to the repair man, these washers only wash with a very limited amount of water BUT yet are advertised as a large capacity washer and they even have a few towels in the washer at Sears to show that you can wash large amounts of clothes/towels, etc. I am super unhappy with this washer and the repair man said they have to come out 5 times and replace parts before I can trade it in...

I have absolutely grown to hate this company due to ongoing service problems. In mid-February I contacted them because my 3-year-old Kenmore refrigerator/freezer was not cooling properly. It took them 7 days to send someone out to diagnose the problem. Then it took an additional 9 days to order the part and send someone out to install it. The r/f worked for a couple of weeks before failing again. Same process: 1 week to get the problem diagnosed and 1 more week to have another part installed. This time the r/f worked for less than a week. You guessed it, another week to send someone out, although this time the technician was at least able to do some work without ordering more parts. The next day, the r/f was not working. And, yes, the service department is telling me it will be a week before they can send someone out. That will mean that my r/f has not functioned properly for 6 weeks out of the last 12. Based on this experience I would NEVER buy another Sears brand product.

Sears is the worst. Wasted the entire day waiting and they never showed up. After the four hour window had passed, I called and found out they had the wrong phone number for me. I was told they were still en route and I updated the number. Waited another 2.5 hours. Called again. Was told the technician didnt come cause I didnt answer the phone. Complete bullshit. It might help if the customer service staff were located in the US. They might be easier to communicate with. Dont waste your time. All Sears cares about is trying to sell you some home warranty crap.

The guy was too busy talking and didnt check his work. He didnt connect the compressor correctly and the fridge died before we got another tech out. We lost the entire fridge and freezer of food. The original problem was an error message on the screen of the water/ice dispenser. Not happy. Then the scheduling Dpt screwed up our new fixit Appt. So no fridge. The icing on the cake is our food claim max amt was only $250. That doesnt even cover the freezer loss alone. Not happy. Same tech came out to fix HIS mistake. He knew hed screwed up. Not happy.

And customer service was absolutely no help, they just kept saying deal with it. If I didnt have a contract would never come back because your customer service is lousy! I had my treadmill looked at since I was hearing an unusual noise coming from the motor area. The repairman showed up as advised. He did some checks and told me he heard nothing. I understand he sees a lot of treadmills at work. So my hearing must be off since I have owned this treadmill over 3 years. He then opened the cover to the motor. It was obvious dusty. He started to close the cover until I asked him if I could at least vacuum it our with my vacuum. Last year the repairman from Sears vacuumed out the motor area without me asking. But then again it was under warranty then. He said my belt was a little to one side. He told me all I need to do is use the wrench that was provided with the treadmill. This was a floor model I bought and was missing a lot of accessories. I did not have the allen wrench nor did I own one that size. So he decided to adjust the belt for me. This was checked and done last year by the same technician last year without me asking again. So I guess when you pay $99 for a technician to come out you are only paying for them to tell you what they cannot hear since they have not ever used your treadmill. Most of the time I have had decent experiences with Sears technician. The technician was polite but I should not have to ask for simple cleaning or adjustments when I pay that much money.

Sit down lawn mower service has greatly changed, includes very little for the service price. Tech recommended not getting new blades but left mower with unbalanced blades. Recommended getting new tire after he was done with service. Tire used to hold air and does not now. He changed a belt on mower. Overall, very disappointed with service and new prices. I will not use service again and unlikely will return and purchase my next mower with Sears.

My repairman was very professional and he showed up exactly when he said hed be here. After finding a broken propeller and diagnosing a broken pump, I told him I was going on vacation and really needed my washing machine. He went back in and took the pump apart to see if he could make it work while I waited for the new part. He then found 2 quarters stuck inside the pump housing and noticed it was a very small piece broken off of one of the propellers. He was able to get my machine working again and advised me that I could wait to order a new pump until this one stopped working altogether. He was honest and I value that above everything else. I trust Sears and I will call them for all my repairs in the future.

2 year old Kenmore Elite refer not cooling. 1st tech diagnosed a bad compressor, but failed to find leak in condenser. 31 days later new compressor arrived and was installed, tech failed to find leak in condenser. 3 days later refer still not cooling properly, tech detected leak in condenser and ordered part with no eta on part delivery.We are now 5 weeks without a working refer.

4 years trying to fix a refrigerator. Replace diffuser 5xs and still leaks. Cannot fix icemaker. Ordered new door, cancelled new door, after complaining- ordered another new door. Every phone call requires unacceptable wait on hold, confusion about your issue.Bottom line - leaking refrigerator and non working ice maker for the last 4 months. They have given me terrible service. The service technicians are very good, its the customer service reps over the phone that need training.

Appointment made online. Arrival confirmed day before, and then again by tech just before appointment. Diagnosis made, parts ordered. Some were back ordered, so it took a couple of weeks. Once parts here, made new appointment, then job completed. Sears service always excellent, if sometimes pricey. But on-line coupons for 20% helped take the sting out. I would use them again.

WARNING DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS! They will not stand behind it!Our refrigerator stopped working again! Sears customer service is the worst in the world. This is the 4th time our refrigerator has broken and all we get is the run around. First the Ice maker stopped working and they had to replace it. Next it stopped cooling, it was set for 33 degrees but only cooling to 65. After a month of fighting with service they finally got back and replaced some parts and it got down to 45 degrees. Called them out again and took another day off of work to meet the technician, and they failed to show! Had to take another day off the next Friday and the technician had to order parts again, waiting for another service visit this Thursday, and now the freezer has stopped working and everything is melting!

My rider mower seems to be fixed before the repair man leaves, then after a little while the tires start to wobble and turn farther than I turn and are pigeon toed every time I go in reverse. I even had to replace the tires the first year! At least the wheels stopped falling off for now. I called customer service every time he has left the house and have had to wait about two weeks for him to come back. We have never had to replace or even call a repair man for any craftsman rider mowers in the past. They definitely dont make them like they used to. My guess is they are trying to save money and sell us problems We just bought the brand new 2015 Garden Tractor with the 26 HP engine and a 54 deck.

This repair was not carried out in sensible manner. The hose for the water dispenser had multiple leaks which the repairman clamped. I pointed out that the hose was obviously worn out and needed to be replaced, however the repairman would not replace the hose because he did not have a hose on the truck. The hose is leaking again, of course, and an additional home visit for the repair id now required, plus additional damage was done to the wall and baseboards behind the fridge from the new water leaks.The repairman appeared to be primarily concerned with selling me a warranty on all my home appliances and much less concerned about the actual repair I needed for our refrigerator. He was polite, but that is about all I can say positive about this experience.

John showed up when scheduled and figured out very difficult burner problems with our new Kenmore stove including improper installation at the factory as well as one defective burner which had to be ordered. John then took on an unscheduled installation of our propane conversion kit for our dryer as well as installation of a new control module for the same dryer that we were going to attempt to install ourselves. As expected . . . the service person was on time, knowledgeable,evaluated the failure, and ordered the defective burner.However, that is where Home Sears Service broke down - someone at the parts replacement depot was asleep at the wheel and completed the request with a product for a refrigerator - not my Jen Air range. When I called the toll free number to try to explain the problem (failed to receive the correct part) I was challenged by the phone worker who questioned my complaint How do you know it is the wrong part. She made no attempt to find the work order and try to trouble shoot the problem - she was annoyed with the fact that I had the ability to determine that a part for a refrigerator was not the right replacement part for my range. When I asked to talk to her supervisor she said she would Email him with my complaint. I had to call again and talk to a more understanding worker who indeed ordered the correct burner that I received 2 days later. Ten days later, I still have not received instructions on how to return the refrigerator part.

Very dissatisfied, five service calls were made over the past several months and all of the technicians were unable to identify the cause of the problem. The dryer was purchased on 2/18/15 and is putting pin sized holes into clothes. It is hardly been used and is so clean that it looks like it was taken off the showroom floor.This is what the last technician told us. What we are asking of Sears is to allow us to return it or give us our money back so we can upgrade to another machine. We are asking this despite being passed the thirty day deadline to allow for an exchange. Our family has been long time Sears customers since the 1960s. If this is not resolved we will not be shopping at Sears anymore. Very upset and want a resolution to this.

The time it took to get my refrigerator fixed 3 separate times was just sad. The last time took almost 3 weeks. I did apply for the replacement of the food loss but did not receive the full amount. To add insult to injury, the repairman (same one 3 times) was insulting, rude and did not call the day before he was scheduled to show up as planned. I also requested a Customer Service Supervisor to call me and never heard back. And when I tried to call I was hung up on either by accident or intentional and did not get to speak to anyone. This was not a happy experience. I have still not heard back from Sears.
