I had an issue with my washing machine. I chose Sears because I felt they were reputable. I should have ran when my first appointment was canceled without my knowledge due to the technician‘a truck breaking down. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. The technician showed up and told me that there was a part that was required and it would run me $300 dollars or I can pay $170 and sign up for their service contract. Plus I still had to pay the $89 service fee. So l chose that option. He also had to come at a later time due to not having my part in stock. Once I received my part the technician came out and supposedly fixed the issue. I go to use my washing machine and it started doing the same exact thing it was doing before. I was told that the earliest they could get someone out was in three days and that it would run me another $89 which I was told by the technician initially that I wouldn’t have to pay if I had the same issue. I’ve made several calls to speak to a representative and only kept getting reps that were rude or couldn’t understand me. two reps even hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. Also, this is November they took the money off of my card but I still have to pay the service fee despite my issue not being fixed because the service contract doesn’t take place until December . I contacted their warranty division about the service contract and was told that they could cancel but they would be billing me for $376. For what???? My issue was never fixed. I was told it was for the service call. So it looks like I will be out of about $500 and my washing machine still isn’t fixed. I could have just purchased a new one and been better off.

A Technician came to my home on January 2nd for a scheduled repair on our front load washer. He performed a cursory five-minute inspection and determined the main control board needed to be replaced. He said the part would arrive in 3-4 business days and he would return to install it.The part did not arrive until February 14th (six weeks after it was ordered). A different Technician was dispatched to install the part and he arrived at the scheduled time. His inspection revealed a different part was required and the original part ordered was not the problem.Because of the misdiagnosis of the washer’s problem, we endured six weeks of unnecessary inconvenience and expense.Attempts to contact Sears about the status of the part delivery during the six-week wait was a nightmare. I was transferred, put on hold, provided inaccurate information and outright lied to. I venture to say I spent nearly four hours trying to communicate through the foreign-based call center. My written request for reasonable compensation of the $75.00 spent on laundry service over the six-week wait due to the original misdiagnosis was brushed aside and never acknowledged.I regret my decision to use Sears Home Services for my appliance repair and cannot in good conscience recommend them to others.

This experience has been a nightmare. I chose this company because I was looking for someone with reputable service. Next time I will go with someone local. I scheduled an appointment paid the diagnostic fee. The technician gave me a price and told me he would only charge half for that visit and the other half at the next visit. Within days I saw the full amount be deducted from my bank account. On the day of the repair he tried charging me again and I told him no the bank shows a charge of the whole amount. Then he played dumb and was said oh yes I remember I do not normally do that, but I charged you all in one day. I just wanted my dryer fixed. He then fixed my dryer and broke the door to the dryer. He order that part and I had to wait another week for it to be fixed. To the next appointment two different technicians fixed the door of the dryer and then tried to charge for the second half of the amount I had already paid. It took a lot of back and forth to get this clarified which leads me to belief their processes are not well coordinated. At the end of this appointment I was told that the technician of the first appointment misdiagnosed the dryer and had me order the wrong part. They explained which part was the problem and again ordered another part which they paid for. The technician came for the 3rd visit and at this time all I want is my dryer fixed although I noticed all these discrepancies I was already in the mess. Apparently he fixed the dryer it was fixed I thought. The dryer worked for a week and a half and then stopped working all together. Previously it would turn on but the heating element was not working. Now nothing is working and they are refusing to give me my money back. I do not understand how they do business. DO NOT USE SEARS!!!!! They will only SCAM!!!!you. Years ago this was a reputable company now it is not. I think you are better off going with a local appliance repairer someone you can actually speak directly with if there is any issues. Sears customer service is like the telephone game. They do not get their information passed on right. I just lost $369.64 and I still need my dryer repaired or a new dryer.

The repairman who came to my house was great! He called ahead, letting me know that he was on his way. He was punctual, very friendly, and checked over my appliances in a very professional manner. He was even kind enough to give me some advice regarding not only the appliances he serviced, but also a couple of other appliances. That was very helpful to me and I am very grateful for his input.I am very, very pleased with his visit.

Craftsmen riding mower purchased in 2014. This is the third transmission (original, warranty claim 2015 and another warranty claim 2016). I do not tow anything with the mower; however, my yard is steep. The salesman said the plastic hydro transmission would be best for terrain when I purchased the mower. NOT the case. The repair tech I give a five star rating as he was professional and did a great job both times and was quick about his work as he obviously has done this many, many times.

Have been waiting to be contacted by a manager regarding Sears lack of scheduling a repair tech. I have called on four different occasions and each time I have been told that a manager would contact me regarding this lack of ability to service my Craftsman riding mower, which is under warranty. After this I will no longer purchase a Sears product. I LIKE NOTHING ABOUT THIS BUSINESS!

If I could write negative stars I would. We called a few weeks ago for a dishwasher repair. After waiting over a week for the technician to come out, then another week for a part to come in, the dishwasher still wasnt fixed. Then we called to make an appointment and received an email confirmation. Randomly we received a call from sears that was automated and said they changed the appointment without even asking us. We couldnt be there for that appointment. Then we called sears back and they would not honor the original appointment and said the next available appointment was next month! I asked to speak to a manager and they STILL wouldnt change it or offer to help in any way. Absolutely terrible experience with the worst customer service I have experienced in my entire life.UPDATING MY REVIEW: This place is even more horrible than I thought. Zero follow up on my issue and zero willingness to fix it. I asked for a call back to discuss further and they never call back. They also apparently arent allowed to connect me with any type of management. I will never go to a Sears again or waste any of my money on this terrible customer service. I really wish they would have turned things around by offering to at LEAST refund my service visit cost.

The Service Technician arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, provided a date when he would return, arrived on the date promised the part came to my house on time as promised. He installed the new part, checked for proper operation and departed within an hour. This is about all that anyone could require! Very satisfied. Due to his performance, I purchased the hold house warranty.

I try to give Sears Service the opportunity but the only reason they come out is to sell you a service contract and to take $99.00 for just showing. Our problem was just the handle of the microwave no parts missing, you have to take apart the door but they wanted $300 for that or pay half and sign a year contract for service, it looks that they are trying to recoup there money from the bankruptcy, only take 1 time but not anymore.

Even though the technician arrived later than Id planned, he did an extraordinary job in the small time window since hed already informed me that the installation process would only take about 15 minutes. He finished and I was able to get to my appointment on time.Thank you all.

I would leave less stars if I could. Sears were sent by First American Home Warranty. I had a fire in oven as the element caught fire and burnt through. Serviceman advised in report stove combusted and then element burned. Called SEARS however there call center is now in Phillipines. They advised it is not possible to talk with the tech. They advised it is not possible to email anyone. They advised there is no possible way of talking to the tech to find out what caused an oven element to burn through. Hence there is no possible way of talking to anyone at SEARS post service call. All you get is a non trained person in an overseas call center. Use a local company. SEARS are now terrible due to there outsourcing.

The service tech was very professional and friendly. He was on time and completed the work in a timely manner. My issue is with the labor cost. He trouble shot the problem in a matter of minutes and replaced the $14.00. sensor in less than 2 minutes. The labor for the $14.00 part was $200.00! add the $99.00 service fee and taxes $347.00. I would like to see the labor breakdown for the replacement of the sensor.

My wife called because it seemed that there was a hot air leak behind the dryer. The person taking the call told her that he would just put in a request for service. When the kind man came in, he moved the dryer, and found that the leak was from a broken duct between the dryer and the wall. Proceeded to tell my wife he could not repair that; did his service while following the instructions on his phone. Told her that Sears does not repair the exhaust ducts, they dont even carry them. Well I remember well when Sears installed the dryer they put the duct when they installed the dryer!!! Well, in one word, he did not repair anything and left my wife with the same problem, just told her to fix it herself. This is RIDICULOUS!!! The original person who took the call could just have told my wife that they dont fix leaks and we would not have waited our time not the nice technician.

Ive been waiting on a part for my 2yr old Samsung refrigerator since March 7th. When I call to get an update all they can tell me is that its been ordered. They cannot give me any information about the technician. They cannot do a follow up on the part. I was told I would just have to wait. Ive already paid half of the costs of parts & labor & never recieved a receipt. Im so frustrated right now!

Ive been without a washer for a month and we have a protection agreement on the washer that cost us nearly the same amount as a new washer would. Has our washer been fixed? NO. Has it been replaced? NO. I will never buy from Sears again. So disappointed, Sears doesnt even deserve one star.
