I have lived here for 6 weeks now and I absolutely love it! It is so wonderfully quiet, especially with the double-paned windows. The apartment is well designed and attractive. The bedrooms are spacious. The bathrooms are compact but function as though they were much larger with roomy showers, nice cabinets and mirrors. I love the flickering candles in my fireplace at night, and love being able to sit on my patio for some fresh air. I appreciate the extra storage in the patio closet. Megan in the office worked very hard to help me through the application and approval process, always with a beautiful smile. Jorge and Eric are friendly, industrious and swift in responding to maintenance needs. The mature trees and landscaping are lovely and every neighbor Ive met greets me with a smile and a friendly hello!

I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars. Every time there is an issue on the property, management sends a mass email that never solves the issue. For instance, there is a massive parking issue at the complex and while the pricing is very good it doesnt make up for the fact that there is not a lot of parking for tenants. Instead of addressing the problem and finding a solution, management basically gave us the finger and told us to find our own solution and gave no alternatives. It took maintenance three times coming over to address our broken washing machine after the first time they said to just shake the inner drum. Maintenance workers were nice but I feel like they are getting orders to not replace broken appliances unless bothered by tenants. DONT RENT HERE, its not worth it.

Terrible complex. As a vendor and resident, i give it a 0/10 rules are bs and only followed when they want them followed.

This place is kind of a hidden gem. Competent and polite staff, the place is always kept clean and its actually a quite beautiful complex. Lots of trees, good lighting and most importantly very quiet. No smoking is allowed at all in the complex and everyone is all around very friendly. Rates are what you expect for Sacramento area but for what you get its not bad.

Sunrise Commons is an charming community quietly tucked away off of Sunrise Blvd. The grounds are well kept and the staff of Sunrise Commons definitely take pride of ownership in their product. Megan and the office staff are very hands on and take a personal approach when dealing with me, everyone who works at Sunrise Commons is genuinely friendly and kind. Anytime a maintenance issue arises the maintenance staff are out in a timely fashion and take great care when they are in my home, as if it were their own. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Sunrise Commons. -114

Was woke up today by a phone call from management telling me my son and his friend had to move a car.Explained they already had. The person went on about why and what and I said its done. You just woke me up on the middle of the night. Funny thing I sleep 9am to 6pm. Said we dont belong. Hung up stating she cannot talk to me. goodbye blah..Th

I can’t say enough good things about this apartment complex. The staff here is absolutely amazing from the maintenance to the girls in the office. They are on top of everything and making your experience living here comfortable and nice. Very happy that I picked this apartment complex to move to.The changes that they are making right now are fantastic. My kids love the complex the pool the hot tub everything about it.

Unsafe, homeless, and thieves - worst place to live EVER! (Over $10k in damages in 3 months)

Lived here for a little over a year. The management has changed. Though Kevin was pretty cool, this new team is showing promise. The supervisor Megan is pretty responsive and is helpful. The past manager was not good and probably needed more support and training on supporting her staff and residents. The distance with traffic can be a beast into the city, but if you work a little closer it’s not bad. Sac has its own breed of drivers. It is close to grocery stores and local gyms which is good and the highway is about 2 miles away. About 2 hours to Lake Tahoe and 1.5 to San Francisco.

What an amazing community. Lots of trees, clean walk ways and friendly neighbors! Very quiet and clean throughout the community. Dani was super helpful and hands-on with my move-in. Everything went super smoothly in my application process thanks to dandy Dani.

I’ve been living at Sunrise Commons for about 3 and a half years. I’ve seen quite a few management changes. Although the management is new and transitioning, I will say they beat all the prior management by far in so many ways! First, we finally have the ability to both view and pay our rent online. It’s 2019, this should be the standard. They communicate both efficiently and effectively. By both email and phone. They are polite and professional. The thing that really stood out the most to me, and which led me to feel compelled to write up this review, is that there have been multiple cats that have gone missing in our complex. I’m not sure what anyone else’s experience is with notifying management about losing a pet but they have gone out of their way to send out emails to everyone with pictures, descriptions, and contact info!! I can guess very few management teams would even consider doing something like that. Truly awesome and continues to solidify my decision staying here for as long as possible! 3/16/21 ADDENDUM: My family and I are still here after 4 years. 100 percent happy here. Staff is quick to respond when you need something, great maintenance staff, grounds are kept nice and clean. Smoke free--which is great!!! And very quiet.We have been here for around 6 months and couldnt be happier. The staff have been great,maintenance guys have been excellent. The complex is very quiet and kept clean. Landscapers seem to always be here keeping the grounds looking nice. Id recommend this community gladly.

So the new leasing manager that works here named Megan needs to be fired. She is the absolute worst, she does not know how to do her job at all and has given my friends who live here way too much grieve for no reason. Kevin, the old manager was so amazing though. The fact that she still works there blows my mind. I would not recommend living here specifically because of her.Edit: something I forgot to add, when Kevin was manager, the pool closed at around 9pm everyday, pretty reasonable. But now that Megan is manager, she has decided to just close the pool whenever she feels like it. My friends tried going to the pool before 9 and it was closed?? My friends pay a lot of money to live here (these apartments are not cheap) and they can’t even enjoy things that they pay to enjoy? Seriously don’t try to live here

Nathan and Megan in the office are both fantastic. They made me feel welcome and I will come back as soon as I’m ready to move!

My family just moved in recently and so far we are very pleased! The staff weve met are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is fairly updated with new carpet and paint and we love the fireplace (especially this time of year🎅). The neighbors are also friendly and quiet. My kids love the amenities (hot tub, pool, fitness center)! Rent is reasonable in comparison and it comes with a washer and dryer which isnt always the case with other apartments in the area. Love that there is a small dog park area for my dog to run around in. Looking forward to living here the next 12+ months!

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. I will never recommend this place to anyone solely because of Megan and her lack of professionalism. You’re paying too much for what you’re getting.

I have lived at Sunrise Commons for almost 5 years, I must say I love it here, I feel safe and very comfortable, thats very important for me being a single mother. I always have had a good experience with everyone in the leasing office, very accommodating and always go out their way to help no matter what the situation, if I need something repaired in my apt, have a question, no matter what theyre very nice about it each and every time!! And I would stay hear another 5 years in a heartbeat!!

I like my apartment but the office is never open first thing in the morning. I am on a busy schedule and I stop in at 8am ( hours are posted 8am to 5pm) no one there, give them 10 min. they may be in. The grounds are worked on once a week as far as I can tell but the leaves clog the drains and when it rains there are water puddles and the water almost got in my apartment. They seem to be aware there is an issue they have cones up but that will not help with the water flooding patios.

I love this place!!! The staff is amazing and the apartments are adorable. Great location- literally minutes away from Roseville without the high prices!!! Come check this place out!!!

Weve lived here almost 6 months and our experience has been positive. Management team was very helpful before we even signed any leasing papers, stayed true after. The Maintenance team responds very timely, even after hours with the 24 hour hotline.

We love our apt , we live in and the apt complex is great and the staff is amazing and the management is great and very helpful and nice , we have been here a little over 2 years now and we plan to live here for a very long time we love it here. We highly recommend these apt complex for familys and married couples and anyone, its a great community to live in and everyone is very respectful of everyone.

The worst place you could live. Don’t move here unless you’re okay with the staff completely losing your deposits(and I do mean completely losing your deposit. We handed the two money orders of all our move in fees, and when we moved out, there was no record of it). That’s only one reason why we are filing complaints and reports to both the Better Business Bureau and also the Apartments Association. Secondly, do not live here if you want a lease with pages upon pages of rules about noise levels, how you can and cannot park your car, how you should clean the condensation from your windows etc. but then when it comes to legitimate complaints ACCOMPANIED BY VIDEO AND PICTURE EVIDENCE about your neighbors who have upwards of 8 people living there, smoking, talking loudly at all hours of the night, throwing trash ON YOUR ACTUAL DOOR MAT, leaving their poor dog (that they are not supposed have in the first place) on their balcony all day and night crying and barking and living in PILES of trash, then the Sunrise Commons is not for you. They will threaten to and or tow your car if you back into your space as outlined in the lease agreement, but when it comes to actual issues and violations of the lease, they will turn a blind eye. And when you want to bring up your concerns, you’ll get people like Alesia who was covering for the manager Florence who is never actually even there, who is supposedly the Area manager, telling you even tho you have written notice and actual video and pictures of all your complaints, that she can’t do anything about it. Worst “manager” ever. Also incredibly rude, she should not be working in any type of customer service, especially when she compares your complaints to her issue of her upstairs neighbor opening and closing their sliding glass door “too much”. And if you want to actually talk to someone in corporate or a regional manager, the regional manager will not get back to you and as for corporate, I’ve heard two things: they don’t have a corporate office because everyone just uses their phone, and you are more than welcome to call but they won’t give you their number. The only saving grace this place has was Kevin. If he’s still there he really should be running the place, he is the only person capable of doing their job.In conclusion, Kevin is wonderful. But that does not make up for the fact that they “lost” our money orders, did not apply it to our account/file or notice any mishaps until we moved out and they owed us money, or the fact that they put so much effort into stupid things like parking and put no effort into actual issues that break not only the lease but actual laws. Also their security company, non existent, by both of the companies that they’ve hired.Also, side note, they are definitely NOT military friendly. My husband is in the military and we needed to get out of our lease and under the SCRA (Service Members Civil Relief Act) we should be able to break the lease UNDER FEDERAL LAW. But of course Alesia, being the worst person to ever work at the office at sunrise commons, was talking about her needing to look into our lease and California law, probably trying to find a way to deny us SCAR. Of course federal law trumps state law, so we were able to get out of our lease, but we were definitely not treated fairly in that process.

Quite nice when I moved in. When they refurbished the apartments, I was told in a rude manner that I could move to an updated apt. or move out. I chose to move to another apt. The rent was ALWAYS fluxuating. Up & down over the two and a half years of my time there. I cleaned the apartment for four to five days before leaving, even the maintenance person stated that its the cleanest apt. Ive ever seen on a move out. When I didnt hear from the office within the return time for the deposit, I was informed that the deposit was used for cleaning and new rugs. It took even MORE time to receive the itemized breakdown. The FINALLY straw was they mailed everything, originally, to the apt. address when they had my PO BOX from the start. Thank you for reading this and please think twice about moving into this complex. In my experience they will smile to your face and stab you in the back.

The management Diane and Serena are very rude and unprofessional. They seem to like to yell at their tenants and their guests. My daughter got her car towed from here and I went in to discuss with these two ladies what can be done about paying for the tow that was due to their incompetence. I and my daughter was then yelled at to the point that they made my daughter cry. If this is how these two people conduct business and if this is how Michael Sloan the regional manager of this apartment allows these two ladies to act then he too is incompetent.

Lots of homeless breakins. They tend to break into peoples cars, my roommates was even stolen. Yet the office doesnt care. All they said to us is that we must have an enemy. The gate is always broken, they take months to fix it, and by the time they do theres more cars broken into.If someone makes a rediculous complaint against you, be prepared to have it on your rental history without dispute. Ive never had complaints in all my history, until i lived here. If you plan on living here, be prepared to live under someone elses thumb.

Nice place to live but beware about the ripoff at the end of your lease term. you will pay for everything including carpet, painting, on top of cleaning. a big Rip-OFF. Be sure to take pictures before you leave because you will be Ripped off period.

Ive been calling for almost 2 months about getting my a/c fixed and NOTHING has been done about it. Its 85 degrees in my house.
