An absolute joke. Do not apply to Birdcage Village. Their staff is absolutely incompetent when it comes to the application process. They did not even believe that my partner was employed, would not accept his paystubs as proof of employment, and gave us the wrong move in date AFTER we signed the agreement. Failed to send me copies of contracts, misspoke every time we came back to fix another issue (and they made several mistakes). We made 3 separate trips to fix their own mistakes on our application. The whole process was terrible to work with and made it extremely difficult to apply. We were qualified for this apartment but it’s not worth it. After our 3rd attempt to get our application finished they informed us of ANOTHER mistake in their part that required us to pay for an entirely different and new application online. Look ANYWHERE else. The staff here is horrible.

We moved in these apt 2 bed room 1 bath. We moved in January 25 2020 and this place is a joke! The neighborhood are nice but the staff and the place it’s a complete Disgrace! We spend over 500$ on raid and products to kills bugs. There’s Cockroaches, and plenty of other nasty bugs. 0/10 definitely do not recommend. Find somewhere alse. Don’t let the stores and the mall out front fool you. Definitely not worth all the things we went thru living here.Worst experience ever hated every single day.

Great living. Friendly office staff and whenever maintenance was needed, they were right on it. Nice area, Close to shopping. 😁

It’s a nice apartment complex and great neighbors. My only problem is with the front desk staff not responding with messages. I’ve spoke to the manager twice and the front office staff 3 times. None have ever gotten back to me about my issue. A simple yes or no would work but instead they respond with ‘ we’ll pass the message along’. Other than the communication it’s a great place to live.

I have to be honest things were not so good for me here at birdcage.. I’ve lived here for 2 years and I’m moving out as I’m typing this review but in my last few months here I have seen some good changes especially With how they handle issues with someone parking in your spot and the the much friendly staff they have working there now..

This place is a joke My husband and I moved in thinking no problem we pay high dollar for one bedroom. We have bed bugs and then cockroaches after that run people 😔

Speedy response to the request and did an add on service I requested at the same time adding such valuable need to assisting me with my mobility needs. I needed a wheelchair ramp installed to get in and out of my apartment and the maintenance crew did a fast, beautiful job!

Would give ZERO stars if I could. Has been a nightmare since the day I moved in. Apartment looks nice inside but then we got cockroaches in the first month we moved in. Never had cockroaches in my life, Im a single man, so I dont have too much stuff and am not dirty, so I know t wasnt me. Told staff about it and they told us they would spray........in 2 months. Then they came on the wrong day, 3 different times.Theres crack heads all over this place. either living here, or digging through the dumpsters, swimming in the pools, or hanging out outside the complex.The walls are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING. I know exactly what time the crackheads that live above me have sex everyday.The staff are a bunch of morons that also dont know what they are doing.I hope the owner goes bankrupt and loses this place and a new owner comes in and fixes this place. DO NOT MOVE IN!!!!!

Ive never lived here but looking at all the comments complaining that there are too many Mexicans this and Mexicans that, I wouldnt want to live anywhere near all this racist trash. All of you need to be rounded up and stranded somewhere. Even on Google maps the most innocent of places you can be sure to find bigots. This is not the first establishment that Ive seen get reviewed where people complain about Mexicans, there have been another four businesses so far, even parks. It doesnt even make sense, these people on the other businesses rated them with one star because there were too many Mexicans It really is laughable. Those people and some of you on here are a complete joke.

I have been here three years . Overall I would say it’s a peaceful decent place to live.

The staff is not properly organized. The management is not reliable or professional when it comes to processing a application. It was a frustrating experience dealing with them.

One star is generous! After searching for months for affordable apartments I was overjoyed to find this place. I spoke with them frequently on the phone and finally a one bedroom was going to be free. I was told to bring 150 for a holding fee plus one month pay stubs. I get paid twice a month (5th and 20th). I brought 4 stubs a full month plus one for the payday before and one after. The rental pro looked at it and said it wasnt a month! I mentioned Im a delivery driver and most of my income is tips. The pro would not take it. I showed them 1 year and 10 months of rental history again the pro wouldnt take it. I went home and got all the paperwork and returned only to find (just then) that they required a monthly income starting at 15 an hour to rent (3times one month rent (800)). OR a cosigner who makes 4 times one month rent. Are they kidding!

There not renting to Hispanics anymore just blacks and whites been going there for the last year they keep telling me no availability but people keep moving in blacks and whites only. no Hispanics kendra needs to go anybody know of a good loyer got witnesses.:-(

Great place for being the cheapest in a wide area. I got better service and responsiveness from this place than some of the more expensive places in the area.

UPDATE: We FINALLY got our holding deposit back after having to do circles with corporate and the lazy office. February 10th is when we received the check. 3 months of arguing.My boyfriend and I applied on November 30th and paid a $150 holding deposit. I called and cancelled our applications before receiving an approval or denial and she said they legally had 21 days to refund us the $150. It is January 18th and we STILL have not received our refund! I have called numerous times and even had to come to the office due to rude old woman hanging up on me and turning the phones off! Staff is unorganized and unprofessional. Shouldnt be surprised getting this treatment from a ghetto apartment complex.

You would think living in an area of the complex where there are only 1 bedroom apartments around you it would be quiet. NO, most of my neighbors next to me above me and on tyhe other side are families with 2-3 kids in a 1 bedroom apartment. The kids play outside screaming at the tip of their lungs with no parents telling them not to do so. I am so glad I dont work grave yard shift. I hear the same kids from this apartment across the walk way until 11pm screaming, crying, yelling into 11pm every night. So you complain to the office, they say to write a letter, after 3 letters in 3 years still no response. This year I did not renew my lease. I hope this post does not get me problems now

I was lied to that apartments would be available. Not only that it says they are open on Saturdays and no one answered the phone. I called a couple mintues after they opened, an hour later, and at 1pm, no one answered.

Great place in 2012.

Worst place to live not because of the place but because of the staff they have in charge, I do not recommend at all always bother too much
