Terrible. Scheduled a basic appointment and the nail bar is not clean in general, nor organized. I received the worse manicure ever. No apology and incomplete services. I had to ask if he was done because it looked terrible. Bugs on the floor. Not acceptable especially during a pandemic. Never again!

I visited Empire before a wedding. The building is beautiful, and the health safety is top notch! The service was great, and I love how my nails came out.

I started going to this salon in college and have continued to come back! They always make sure my nails look great before I walk out and really take their time. I had a nail chip today and I walked in to get it fixed. Emily ended up fixing the nail and making sure both of my hands also looked good and all the nails were intact.

The staff was really friendly but I took my 3 daughters to get Mani and pedis and two got fake nails. My youngest her cuticles were bleeding on 4 of her fingers. I know accidents happen but Ive never personally had this experience at other salons I go to. And when I asked the lady said it was normal which I was told by several professionals it wasnt.

Honestly, I love this salon. I have been coming here for a little over a year. They have so many colors to choose from. For my manicure, I usually get SNS. My SNS nails can last me a good 4-5 weeks before needing a new one and that’s only because of my nail grow out. My nails have yet to chip polish. All the staff are very friendly and attentive to details. The pedicures are very relaxing. I have never seen my toes chip with the regular polish on my toes. The online booking system for appointments is super easy and convenient.I have no regrets stopping in here last summer.You’ve gotten this far... stop in inside. You won’t be disappointed.

The facility was clean. But they didn’t speak fluent English. So things started to go wrong there. The person who did my pedicure didn’t know what he was doing. He was watching and trying to mimic the lady next to me, and did a horrible job. (I didn’t come to get my legs massage barely touched my feet) My nails are many different sizes. The nail tech wasn’t trying listening to me basically he wanted me to shut up and let him do his job.

I found this little gem after I moved to Cincinnati. I had tried a few places nearby before and once I went to Empire Nails, they set the bar.Over a year ago, I moved from Hyde Park to NKY and willingly drive back to my old neighborhood for nail services.

Empire has taken excellent care of my nails for a year now. Recently, I injured one of my nails the night before a scheduled manicure and I was nervous to get my nails done. Emily was so considerate and gentle with my injured nail. She checked in periodically to make sure that I wasn’t in pain and managed to still make my nails look great. It was so appreciated. Thank you!

They have roaches stay away!!!! I decided to try this place for the first time (mainly bc ambiance was packed). I was getting a pedicure and large roach crawled through the crevasses of my seat. I’m so happy I saw it before it got on me or in my purse. The staff did nothing about it and tried to move me to a different pedi chair which I felt so uncomfortable about. They did not attempt to look for the bug, spray, or anything. They didn’t even offer me anything for my experience either. I was so uncomfortable. I was supposed to get my nails done after but I just ended up leaving after the pedicure.

The pedicure massage was EXCEPTIONAL and my finger and toenails look fantastic. I highly recommend this place, and Lee in particular!

Never coming back. I called days before saying I wanted to make an appointment with the person who does the best French tip with acrylic. The lady on the phone said okay Cindy is great at that she’ll see you at 3. I walked in and told them I had an appointment at 3. They said we have you right here you can come back. I went back and they sat me with a man. I wasn’t sure if it was Cindy but I didn’t want to assume that wasn’t his name and offend him. I showed him a picture he said he could do it. When he asked if they looked okay i told him it was not what I wanted at all and showed him the picture again. He said he wasn’t able to do it and got another woman. I asked her what his name was and she said Kai.. I said okay my apt was with Cindy I assumed they knew that. The lady kept apologizing over and over saying I should of said that when I came in. I said I’m sorry I assumed you guys wrote it down or something. I ended up having like 4 people do my nails and they were just not good at all. The head guy (I guess) came over and said let me see your nails. I showed him and he said wow yeah those are very uneven and don’t look good. He said next time he would get someone to do better. I got to the front and said I just don’t think I’ll be back is there anyway I could get a little discount because I have to go somewhere else now and get them fixed. The guy at the front tried to get my to show the other customers in the store my nails and get their opinion. I was being very nice and respectful the whole time until that happened because it was so unnecessary. The girl knew I was getting mad so she just told me to leave with out paying and said sorry. That is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. She handled it very well. Not to mention 5 different people told me “next time you want to do something like this ( A BASIC FRENCH TIP) call ahead. After telling them 10 times I did do that they got frustrated. Overall not a good experience.

I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure, spending well over $80. I was in an out in less than 35 minutes. The gel didn’t have enough time to harden under the light and was tacky and ruined in a day or two. Then the polish on one whole nail peeled off a day or two after that. Poor quality. I gave them 2 stars because I guess if you want to be in and out, this is your place.

Took 3-4x as long as other salons I’ve been to, but not because they’re thorough. Shape was not what I asked for and all of them were uneven from each other. To remove previous SNS, they dip your hands in a bowl of acetone for too long instead of wrapped in aluminum foil by nail, making your hands incredibly dry and cracked. Nail tech was also rude. You can find a better place for the money!

I have now been twice for a shellac manicure and have been highly impressed both times. The customer service is outstanding-- they are so friendly and genuinely care about the quality of their work and the customers satisfaction. Their shellac selection is amazing-- over 400 colors to choose from. The girl who did my manicure did an awesome job and the polish is perfectly applied. The decor is chic and trendy. Will definitely be a regular here!

I was recommended this salon and made an online appointment. I was directed to sign in the day of my service and sat for over 30 minutes before leaving. No one spoke to me and several people walked in and was acknowledged and served.

New to the area, tried them out and was very satisfied. Been going faithfully every 2/3 weeks!

A great place with great service! My friend brought me here a few months ago and I havent gone to a different nail salon since. The place is very clean, the employees are very friendly, accommodating and do a great job.Ive gotten a full set with a special shape, in a dark shellac color and they came out perfect. They really take their time to make sure the shape and color is uniform with clean lines.I do recommend making an appointment as Ive been lucky to be able to walk in but they do get busy.Highly recommend this place!

I choose this place to get my nails done, some reviews were super happy and others were completely disappointed and sadly to say I won’t be returning to this place. It looks lovely from the outside and the little lobby area is pretty nice. I wanted a simple full set and the more I look at my nails the more annoyed I get. First they kept changing my nail tech. The receptionist started with filing my nails and another man came to finish up. Second My thumb nails are not the same length, on my left thumb it looks like he choose a nail tip a size too small I can see my fingers nail underneath it all along the left side. The entire left hand is angled in and when I pointed it out he tried to say it wasn’t.... it is. Also beware they don’t use new files, the one he used on me looked like it was on its last legs. I wouldn’t waste your money! Look elsewhere.

The best nail salon in all of Cincinnati!! I even travel across town to get there because I dont trust the quality of anywhere else. They are very clean and the atmosphere is super relaxing and welcoming. Ive been here many times now and every person who has done my nails has been very talented, my nails come out looking exactly how I wanted :)

Went in to this salon with high hopes of an excellent SNS manicure. However, not even four days after, my nails began to break and peel off. I wish this experience was better, but unfortunately it was only a waste of money and time.

It was my first time going here with my friend and we both agreed it would be our last. We sat and waited over an hour for a full set on a Thursday and no one came to talk to us. One girl was in the pedi bath and just got up and left because no one came back for her. The customer service is horrible. When they took us into the back to get our full set, it was okay at first. The longer we were there the worse it got. My nails specifically were okay but the ring fingers bothers me every day because they are two completely different lengths. The man had to redo my thumbs three times because he kept pushing my nails up into the drying light and it was smudging and he kept trying to tell me it was my fault. He also got polish all over my hands and did not clean it off for me. The glitter polish I got on one finger, they did not paint on fully and you can see right through it to my actual nail and it just looks very bad. My friend got her full set done by two different people because the first guy did not know how to properly do them. The lady aggressively yanked her fingers around to look at them and then was so loud she was practically yelling at her and it was just hard to watch. I had ran into someone I knew there who was also getting her nails done and she was trying to get an ombré look, something ambiance could do easily, but empire did a horrible job. The two colors met at a straight line and it just looked horrible. Overall, the experience was horrible and too overpriced for what you get. Do not recommend, ambiance is just around the corner and is 2000 times better.

Empire Nail Bar & Spa is not someplace to walk in or even go on a Saturday. The decor is nice and comes across as clean. I saw many walk in customers being turned away for the entire day since they did not have an appointment. Most salons will give a wait time but not here, you will rudely be told to go somewhere else.The customer service that I received was so horrible that I dried my feet and left without getting a pedicure. The tech came and ask what type of pedicure we would be getting during our appointment only to inform us that we could only get a basic pedicure due to a larger party coming in for a full service. Empire needs to get their customer service together because they gave a lot of bad first impressions on Saturday; maybe they should try giving more time to their appointments or staff more techs. Either way I will not be back and they will never be recommended.

I have been impressed every time I have come to Empire. They are nice and competent and use an autoclave for their instruments. I cant recommend them highly enough!

I received a mani / pedi. An older gentleman who was very nice performed my services. My pedicure lasted for 3 days. It just peeled off toe by toe. My pedicure always lasts for a month? Disappointing waste of money. Mani / dip: He adid not properly manicure cuticles. Dead skin left all over my fingernails. Much of it was coated over with polish making it impossible to remove. Even after questioning him, he simply applied nail oil which only temporarily masked the uneven and jagged cuticles. With the tip it was well over $100. 🙁

I’m giving this place a 2 because the first time I went in, I had a great experience with Tim. I got an SNS manicure that stayed on perfectly for a full month with no lifting, and it was overall fantastic.However, the second time I went in, it was an entirely different story. While the service was great, the man who removed my SNS manicure and gave me a new one ruined my nails. He used a powered sander to remove my old manicure and “shape” my nails. I have the strongest nails of anyone I know, and this process reduced them to paper. I didn’t know any better, but I went to a different salon the remove my second manicure and she told me you can remove SNS with acetone but since it takes longer a lot of places use the sander. Be warned...if you go here, tell them not to use that sander! My nails are just no getting back to normal more than a month later.

I’ve been here a few times with average service before this last experience but after this, I’ll never go back. They don’t properly clean their tools! My manicurist took the cuticle trimmers out of the blue “sanitary” bag and guess what was left on them from the service before? Skin trimmings that he wiped off with a towel. I’m sorry. That’s so unnacceptably nasty.

The first time I went it was a pleasant experience the second time I went it was the worst experience possible!A woman named Sophia who did my nails had a attitude every time I told her to fix something on my nails!She told me I was being picky!My nails looked like they needed a fill in because she didn’t do the acrylic correctly!Another man was working on my feet he did a great job with the massage but didn’t make sure my toe nails were even he applied a glob of paint that smeared on my toes as soon as I got home!There was no fan put on my feet I was overcharged 90 plus dollars almost 8 dollars more than the first time I went!My nail polish is chipping after the second day and I paid for gel polish!When I told Sophia I disliked my nails she agreed and said I didn’t like them either!She didn’t offer to redo them or even apologize for the mess,all she could say was “you tip here” “you tip here”!The first time she did my nails I gave her a 10$ tip,the second time I gave her the same thing she gave me NOTHING!!!Never go to this place!If you say anything about your nails they will ignore you and get upset!There tools are filthy as well!

Not a great experience. It was uncomfortably quiet, and the staff was not very friendly. My polish was so old and streaky that I asked them to remove it. When I explained that I didn’t have enough time for a new color, they didn’t offer a refund or gift certificate. I will not be returning to Empire.

I have been here a couple of times. Usually it is a little above average. The last time I had a horrible experience. One young man was so bored that he was barely touching my feet and looking out the window. When I mentioned that I wasnt very happy, another lady jumped in and was so aggressive she actually was hurting me. It was by far the the worst pedí experience I’ve had.

I’ve been to several different nail salons for SNS and everytime I’ve tried it, it’s fallen off or lifted within a week. So after all of the bad expeirences I resorted back to acrylics. I came in for a fill and Cindy offered to do SNS, I was hesitant but she insisted it would stay on and If it didn’t hold strong for at least 2 weeks she would redo them for free. I’ve never had a better manicure and it’s even stayed on strong! My favorite nail salon by far!
