Wouldn’t take my car anywhere else! My car (not bought at first team) transmission went out. I took it to first team, they had a new transmission in within 24 and it was ready to pick up. They did it for a very reasonable price. They are personable and kind. Special thank you to Eric in the service department and Mike Fox!

On my last two visits as First Team Nissan I asked them to look at my brakes because it was making a grabbing noise. The first time they said everything looked okay. I asked again when I took it Monday and this time I needed brake pads. When I got the report it said the car had been driven and they could not find the problem but upon looking at the brakes I needed pad. I dont have a problem getting pads or anything else for the car because I want to be safe and anyone else who rides to be safe; BUT the car was not driven by anyone and it is still making the same noise. When someone called the next day to ask about service I expressed this to him and he said he would speak with someone and get back to me . . . Im still waitingPart 2.... I had another mechanic to drive my car today because the problem hasnt gotten any better and what do I find out... my rotors are warped; how did First Team Nissan miss this!!! But yet they tell me they drove the car, and after inspecting the brakes say that I need brake pads!!! I have made ANOTHER appointment to take the car back hopefully the third time is the charm! I thought by taking the car to the dealership I would get honest service.

I came in and asked that my vehicle be checked fully for all operational issues due to an engine stalling. They claimed to have fixed the issue that was covered under the warranty. They noticed a second issue but claimed it cleared. Within a week, the engine stalled. Now they claim similar valves need to also be replaced. If they had checked the vehicle properly this could have been avoided. I would not recommend their service department and will never take my vehicle back. You are better off going to Roanoke or using a local mechanic. Their customer service about the issue was also terrible.

AMAZING!! Had my car serviced there. they are fast, informative, and have extremely good costumer service. As a young lady it can be worrisome that A mechanic may try to charge you for things you don’t need. They had the opportunity to and did not! They are wonderful!

I did not like asking for the service department and being transferred to a remote location, especially when the woman asked if I wanted service on my “2019 Dodge Ram.” I have a 2005 Nissan Armada. I would rather be connected to someone on the First Team New River Service Department who knows me, my vehicle, and what I want or need to have done. I would love to buy a new Nissan vehicle, but the color choice and features o want are not available on the vehicle I would purchase. Nissan Corporation does a disservice to dealers and customers by not offering a selection of colors and features the customer can select based on what he/she wants. First Team New River has the most outstanding service department of any dealership anywhere.

Just left the dealership about 2 hours ago. Let me tell ya, Bailey (sales rep) was one of the most top notch professional, caring sales rep that my wife and I ever met. She helped us through the whole process and made recommendations. If you go here, seriously ask for her. Lets not forget about Chip, that guy is something else. Got us a great deal on a Tucson that we never expected. Highly recommend shopping here. They really gained 2 customers that will be returning from here on out.

Was not informed of the 48 hour only exchange policy until the evening it expired. I live in Galax VA. and it was almost 5pm so no way could have made it to look at a few other cars and make my decision. Other than that it felt rushed and long process. Only got to test drive 2 cars and should have went home and came back next day when I would have had more time to think and choose. Salesman was knowledgeable and friendly. Not enough trade in value for my car and too many extra fees added for my new car. I should have came earlier in the day to have more time to consider all my options and choices. Great dealer with fair prices for most part.

Update: Just wanted to reply to the response below. Its not really very reassuring that had you replaced the wrong hose you would have eventually caught the mistake and fixed it. The a/c shop I brought it to showed my very clearly the problem and it was clear that the hose you wanted to replace was practically new. I brought the vehicle in to be diagnosed and Im still not sure what you actually did. Ive been taking my other Nissan to you for years and havent really had too many other complaints other then that if I send my wife in with the car you seem to charge more and set the oil change reminder to 3000 and not 5000 like you do when I bring it in.I simply am disappointed.Took my xterra in for an a/c check. They told me the low side hose was bad. Decided to take it to an a/c shop for second opinion. He said the low side hose was practically new and the high side hose was clearly bad. Not sure what I got for my 58 dollars at Nissan.

Horatio Doregos was the best Salesman I have ever encountered when buying a car.He was patient he explained everything that was major to me. And I would purchase again from him. If he went elsewhere I would follow him. Thats how good of an experience I had. The only reason It does not deserve 4-5 Stars, Was the time I had to wait to be seen for closing the deal. Over an HOUR!! The moment I got up to leave to go elsewhere for my purchase then I was called in to close the deal. First team needs to have more than 1 person working to close deals if they want continued business. Its disrespectful, and not business savy to have potential customers waiting over an hour Just to close the deal. And Please READ & REREAD your contract down to the last price point and make sure he explains every penny your being charged. Other then that my experience with the salesman was top notch. Horatio Dorges deserves a raise!!! Better yet his own dealership. I will seek Mr Horatio again for my next purchase for my grandchild.

Very friendly staff. Had a nice, and not pushy salesman named Justin. I love the service Nissan provides to new vehicle buyers like lifetime oil changes and inspections.Downside? I feel that the way Nissan advertises via media is misleading! Sticker prices DO NOT include freight charges, which will bump the price up several hundred. Also, theres no negotiations to be made except on add-ons. Still, their sales prices are some of the best within a few hundred miles. Just be adviced that you will be paying a couple more thousand for your purchase (at least, on new vehicles).All-in-all...do your research before heading to the dealership and your homework. They do offer price match on some vehicles. Plus, I still feel I walked away paying $7,000 less than what Id have paid for my vehicle elsewhere.

I live 350 miles from this dealer, but my daughter lives in Dublin, VA. She drives an older model Altima. She needed to have something looked at, and needed an oil change and tire rotation, so I made her an appointment at First Team Nissan. I personally called and spoke with a member of their service team and let him know what needed to be done. I also stated that my daughter didnt know the first thing about maintaining her car, and that he would need to tell me exactly where she needed to go for the Early Bird drop off, etc. He said he would call me with an update on her car the next day. By 3:00pm the next day, I hadnt heard anything from him, so I called. I was told that my daughter never dropped her car off, which she did. After her car, and keys, were found, her car was promptly brought in, and all services completed. I paid the bill over the phone. Everything was smooth sailing for that. I was grateful they were able to help her. Fast forward a week or so.... My daughter called me freaking out about there being warning lights on her dash. Turns out, its the maintenance light, reminding her to get the oil changed and tires rotated. So, they didnt even reset the maintenance lights. As a member of management at my local Nissan dealer, I expected a certain level of customer service that I didnt get here. I will have my daughter take her Altima to a mom and pop shop from now on. Going to this dealer didnt give me any peace of mind. You should do better First Team!

UNTRUSTWORTHYIn October 2020 I went to Nissan to do a inspection as one does yearly for their car. I failed the inspection because they told me my ball joint parts were worn down. Not wanting to pay $400, I brought back the car back home for a family friend who owns a auto body shop to look at it. They told me everything is fine and nothing was wrong. I recommend going here for an inspection if you want to get scammed of your money. I am not an easy quick buck to make off of.

Editing my review to add my experience. Im not a big fan of dealerships, but these guys are great.From the moment I arrived and announced the purpose of my visit (a 10am appointment to look at my Murano) I was treated kindly and with respect. I was directed to the waiting area, which was clean and comfortable while they examined my vehicle.Once the examination was complete a gentleman spoke with me and thoroughly explained the issues with my vehicle. He described the problem and the repair, which was reasonably affordable. He answered my questions, and never once pressured me to commit to have the repairs performed by First Team.The entire experience felt fair and pleasant. It was a pleasure.

I am happy to share that once again, our family experience with First Team Nissan of the New River Valley was commendable. Our family has purchased from NRN for about 15 years. The staff were responsive, knowledgeable, and worked to ensure that we got what we wanted. We started with online vehicle searches a few days before our site visit and we were contacted by telephone promptly. We visited and thankfully, found several vehicles that we liked (loved!).The vehicles we test-drove were clean and sanitized. All of the staff wore masks and access to the showroom was limited. there were plexiglass barriers between customers and staff while sitting inside. most of our time was spent outside, with all involved wearing masks and maintaining reasonable distancing. We were even given sanitized ink pens to sign our documents!.About BAILEY....Now, if you want a helpful, knowledgeable and patient staff person to assist you as you search for your next Nissan, ask for BAILEY. Shes honest, up front and will get answers to your questions from other staff if she doesnt know the answer immediately.Shop NR Nissan and ask for BAILEY. You will not be disappointed.

Price Gouging !!!I highly Advise not to use this dealership.Theiir price gouging is outrageous Mark up on parts and service is 100 percent higher than over 4 service departments in the area. If this is how a business wants to treat return customers, in buying new vehicles they must be crazy. 4 new tires. First team Nissan price $925. Walmart $445.New brakes and brake flush, first team Nissan $520. Firestone $248Go to a dealership that respects new car buyers and treats them fairly not First Team Nissan.

Every time we come in for servicing our car, Jared is the friendliest salesman besides Preston who does the servicing. But Jared is the only salesman that will talk to us while we’re waiting and now we are looking to buy a car and he knows what we are looking for and he is always keeping us updated on what cars are on the lot. Kevin, our salesman, was awesome. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, comfortable and got exactly what we wanted. When options were not available he went and did everything he could to make those options available and I am very appreciative of that. The entire team at the dealership was sweet and friendly and made the whole thing very very enjoyable. The first time we went I was unable to get the price I wanted and left upset at not fault to the salesmen. When we came back they recognized us and were happy to see us. They didnt make it seem like we were just annoying or brats because at first, we didnt get the deal we wanted. They pulled up our old information and we went from there. I bought a new Altima from First Team and I was impressed with the sales process. There was no pressure and the deal I got was a good one.The best part about First Team is the after sales! The service dept are great! Friendly and helpful and for a dealership repair and service costs are competitive to smaller garages locally. They can often get you fixed up without an appointment too! If you wait on your car, there is a lounge with beverages and snacks.This dealership makes me want to stay with Nissan cars for life!

My sales men Mr. Jim Earp was a solid 10 in every way. my problem was with First Team Nissan Finance manager Daniel. I wasnt given all the financing options. Nissan USA was offering an ZERO percent financing I wasnt given the opportunity to accept or decline Nissan USA financing offer. I did receive a call from a Nissan manager assuring me that I received the financing possible Im still not happy over having someone else not being up about all my financing options. My credit score is 800 plus. If buy another car from first team Nissan Ill be sure to have my financing in place before visiting the dealership. Respectfully Ron Frank Sr.

Most of the time at dealerships I have been to after you buy the vehicle they Just send you on your way , but with Jeff he took the time to show me everything about my car I wanted to know and gave me a full tutorial on all the new features especially since upgrading from a 2014 Nissan Versa . So if you buy a car here and get the free oil changes and inspection you better buy the car near your home. They Do Not honor this at all their dealerships. There is no reason to punish someone for buying a car at a dealership owned by the same dealership but only honors the free oil change at the dealership you bought it at. And at the time the car was purchased the First Team was only in Roanoke. So before you buy and you arent close to the area you buy the car then dont trust the free for life BS. Buy somewhere that honors this program at All their dealerships. I will be removing the FT sticker from the rear of the car no need to advertise. Word of advice buy somewhere that takes care of the customer no matter where they live!!!

This used to be a great place. I trusted them to do what was needed and I would have given the five stars. Now, since the new owners have taken over they are cruising on their past reputation. I bought my Nissan truck in 2013 and was happy to continue with their service which used to be excellent. Well, not so any more. Two years ago they told me I needed new breaks all around for $800. I didnt. I didnt then and I didnt one year ago and I dont now. Few months ago I got my truck inspected elsewhere and they did not recommend new breaks, but they are close. I took it in recently for an oil change and they told me I needed new wind shield wipers. I had gotten it inspected the day before and it passed. I didnt know that WSW were inspected at the state inspection so I told them to go ahead and replace them. I will never go there again because they tell you to replace things that dont need replacing just so they can soak you. They can no longer be trusted to service your vehicle in your best interests. Ill take my truck elsewhere from now on.

I was very pleased with the service on my Rogue. I was also happy to find that the dealership had rearranged the seating in the waiting lounge so that customers were at least 6 feet away from each other. The appointments seemed to be staggered so there were not more than two customers waiting at a time. As always, I am very satisfied with the Christiansburg service department!

My mom took the car in for the first of the oil changes. Under 5k miles. She wasnt told about the tire rotation before hand, there fore did not have the money for that service. Not a big deal. When she asked at least three times what she would have to bring for her next service. And what services would be performed she was told look it up in the owners manual. How hard is it to one show here where the information is in said manual. Two write it down to help her out. Three schedule her next appointment and give her a ball park figure for what the next service may require. So that way next time she will more than likely get the services. Customer service has died in this country. If it wasnt a pain to return the car and get my money back. I would and at least go with the first team closer to my house. Or just not deal with Nissan.

Called at 1:15 on a Saturday and was told the service department was open to do an oil change. Drove 20 minutes into town just to find out they closed the service lane at 1pm. No thanks

I had a scheduled appointment. Not an issue. What was the issue is the first greeting upon arriving. I am not one to complain or want a warm and cozy welcoming but I do expect undivided attention when I arrive and not a quick what do you want or how can I help you and what are you here for.. You might want to work on that because I can get my oil changed and other stuff done somewhere else and it cost me less money.... food for thought
