I got in touch with Momentum Staffing Group because I applied to multiple job postings they had on Indeed. They are very knowledgeable about scientific jobs in the Chicago area (which was very helpful since I moved here a month ago from Ohio) and helped me prioritize my interests and needs realistically given my skill set and job experience (well-rounded, but also fresh out of college). They are a helpful staffing agency, who helped me attain a temp to hire position with a company that meet the criteria I was looking for. Anna interviewed me to know what I was looking for and presented me with positions that might fit what I was looking for. The process did take patience since not all their clients meet your criteria, but when Momentum recommends you to a position, there is a strong chance itll line up with your desires. Anna also aided me in interview preparation that did prepare me to land the job I applied for.

I had been job searching for several months when Michael Kadela contacted me. He told me that he believed that I was overqualified for the Momentum Staffing positions I had been applying for and that he would contact me when he found a job that better matched my experience. He very quickly found a position in a good company with better hours and pay. I was skeptical about trying a contract to hire position, but he told me the conversion rate was high (which I found to be true). I interviewed and received a job offer one week after he told me about the job. Michael was incredibly helpful, offering me plenty of advice for my job interview, including information specific to the company I was applying for.I am incredibly happy with my current job and feel like I will stay there for a long time. Im incredibly impressed with how quickly they found a job for me and with how professionally I was treated throughout the entire process.

I found a posting from momentum on indeed and within a day or two of posting my resume they contacted me, I worked with Kelly and had a very comforting interview. They look at your strengths and experiences and find you good job fits. Within a week not only did I have a job interview but a job offer and will end up starting in the same month! The people are great and the office is very casual and comforting, great experience overall.

Momentum was the best staffing group I used during my job search. I specifically worked with Rebecca and she not only took her time to meet me and find a job that would fit my wants/needs/and personality, but went the extra mile to prep me for the interview and make me feel excited about future careers opportunities. I applied for a position through momentum on indeed and got a call back very promptly to set up an interview and have me come to their office in Chicago. After going through that one of their agents discussed a position with me, I said I wanted a chance to look it over first before immediately accepting and having them send over my resume. I emailed the agent back the next day saying I wanted to go forward with the position and send in my resume. I have not heard back since (this was 2 weeks ago) and have tried repeatedly calling to only receive a voicemail and no response back. This is extremely unprofessional on their part and I am pretty sure that they are purposely blacklisting me.

I’ve applied to Momentum a number of times throughout my career and what I really like about Momentum is they want not only the best fit for the companies they recruiter for but the people they are helping find a job too. So up until now the jobs haven’t been perfect in both sides. This time around it seems things were more right. Anna was good about responding and getting answers to my questions as needed and when things were delayed she was good about finding out the why. I was searching while working so Anna was really understanding about that and accommodating about talking after I got out of work. It’s much appreciated. She helped me edit my resume to gear it towards the position I was applying for and worked with me extensively through the interview process. I, unfortunately, was not selected for the initial position, but Anna continued to work with me for another very similar position at the same company and helped me to prepare for a second interview which resulted in me getting an offer for an exciting position that seems to be a perfect fit for me! I worked with Anna at Momentum in my last job placement and it was a wonderful experience! I ended up being placed in a position that checked all the boxes for me, and I have the help of Anna to thank for that. This is the third time professionally I have used a staffing agency to find my next employment position, and I would definitely recommend Momentum.

Waste of time.I got offered one position and after saying I was interested, I didnt hear back from them to confirm until the position was already filled.Then I had to email and call THEM to see if they had more opportunities, they always said they would send me more that day and never did. It has been over a month since I interviewed and still not another opportunity or any contact at all that I didnt seek out myself. I had a good impression when I first went but the follow-up has just been awful.

As a fresh college grad moving to the city and applying to literally every job I mostly qualified for, I found the job market even tougher than I expected. I got denied from most jobs and still ended up rejected from those jobs in which I made it to the on-site interview. Working with momentum, though, is really what helped me take that next step into what I keep calling “the real world.” I went from demoralized to hopeful, as they were transparent with me and really tried to do everything they could to help me get a job along the chemistry side of technician work. Anna, my recruiter, was kind and always gave me tips (and always seemed to bolster my confidence with little descriptors such as “bright”) to help me get a leg up. The first job my resume was sent out for I got the phone screen (as well as prep questions from Anna) followed by an on-site interview the next day (with more prep questions and tips from Anna). I ended up getting an offer not even one hour after my interview. I know every experience is different, but I cannot emphasize enough how helpful Momentum was in my search in every capacity. I would highly recommend.

Never got back to me after I met with a recruiter named Kelly. The only updates I got was when I called the office and asked about them myself. So do not waste time or energy dealing with this poor excuse of a staffing company. Momentum Staffing is a monumental waste of time.
