Javier was quick to reply to an email quote for my Maytag dryer, which was running but no longer heating up. He was able to come within a day of our request (during a time when everything related to appliances is in high demand.) He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the parts on hand. He also cleaned and maintained the dryer, and it runs much more quietly (see the after photo.) Prices were fair and competitive with another service. If youre in Chicago, especially Logan Sq, West Town, Humboldt Park etc - dont hesitate to call.

Great service! From first text to oven repair complete a total of 5 hrs! Can you believe that? In this day an age you must speak with a representative that is 646,765 miles away set an appointment, wait 3 weeks, then the tech calls says their 5 hrs away but get to you 3 days later. I called these guys after an industrial washer went out in my building. Initially I spoke with Javier, who was super nice and fit me in the schedule. Full disclosure I initially scheduled my first go to guy but they were booked solid and I needed repairs sooner. Javier penciled me in and connected me with Omar, his brother. Both of these guys were super courteous and informative, not to mention they communicated with me quickly via text which I prefer. Omar came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He not only showed me exactly what the problem was, he explained to me how to repair it myself if I wanted to save some money. Normally thats just my speed but being that they were so completely honest with me I opted to have them repair it for me because Id likely mess it up and it was apparent Omar knew what he was talking about. Unfortunately they didnt have the part I needed but they ordered it for me and promptly rescheduled a time to come back and fix it. Omar came back and fixed it, answered every question I had and then some! The price was fair and the extra knowledge I got was an added bonus. I appreciated being able to repair the machine as opposed to replacing it, which is wasteful in my opinion. Plus Im Frugal. Great work at a reasonable price - certainly cheaper than buying a new dryer. The repairman diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes, had the parts in his backpack already (probably a very common problem that he was ready for), and had it fixed and done in another 15. He even vacuumed out the lint inside the machine. Excellent friendly service, Ill definitely be using them when another appliance breaks down.

Omar from Appliance Repair Doctor has been servicing our appliances for years. We just moved into a new condo and had him come over to fix our ice maker which did not work when we moved in.He had always been completely open and honest about our repairs. Years ago he fixed our old washer and dryer multiple times until he told me that it was probably time to buy a new one because the cost of repairing the unit in the future would not be justified.I do not trust anyone else with our appliance repairs. Omar was very professional and efficient from the start of his first diagnostic visit to the end of his service visit. He got our ten year Viking fridge working better than new. After years of having meh drinks, we have ICE COLD DRINKS. We thought all hope was lost and we would need to get a new fridge after our fridge and freezer just stopped working. We also thought the service would cost an arm and a leg, because we previously went through Viking repair services. Omar was priced reasonably and even fixed our fridge before needing to order and use additional pieces. I cannot say enough great things.

Our dryer broke down Thursday evening and I started sending out emails/requests to multiple different repair places that night. Javier @ Appliance Repair Doctor was the only person who responded to me (not just that night, but at all) and he quickly setup a last minute time window for one of his technicians to come out the next day.We had a different service come repair our squeaking dryer 6 months prior that had told us we were putting a band aid on much larger problem and wed be better off buying a new dryer at a cheaper price than the cost to fix it again.Well not according to Appliance Repair Doctor. Reached out to ARD because the dryer at our new condo wasn’t heating up, therefore it wasn’t drying our clothes. These folks were very responsive and even helped me test some things out (making sure it wasn’t user error) before they decided it was necessary to set up an appointment to come check it out in person. They sent Omar who was very kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and discovered quickly what the issue was! He even showed me the broken part that hadn’t been replaced since the 90s! I would like to say I was very pleased by the work and work ethic of your representative Omar Rosa! He was professional, on time, efficient, and informative. He took his time and a answered all the questions that both I and my partner had. He completely took my dryer apart after listening to all my concerns to find the source of the problem! In doing so he found that there were several issues that needed addressed. They were all addressed and my dryer is working as new! Not only that my refrigerator had also went out last night and Omar took a look at it for me as well! It too is now working! In fact my refrigerator has a built in ice machine and water dispenser and the water dispenser was broken per our knowledge. We smelled gas on Thursday, had People Gas out immediately, they turned the gas to the stove off but couldnt fix it right then. Old built-in microwave turntable wasn’t working. Omar arrived within the scheduled window and had the whole thing back up and running in just over an hour. While in there, he found a broken part and helped me find links to order a replacement for cheap. He even gave me a discount on the labor for removing the trim kit and having the microwave ready to pull out prior to arrival. Wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

First used the company a few months ago when renting an apartment for a dryer fix, enjoyed the experience so much we decided to call again when we bought our home. I have since been lucky enough to get Omar twice now for repairs, and cannot recommend him enough! He was polite, on time, did the repair successfully, and most important to me... made sure to take the time to thoroughly and effectively explain the issue and made sure we are on the same page with the best route to repair moving forward. Did not feel pressured at all in regard to any up-charging, and I even seem to learn a thing or two about our own appliances every time we meet. We are so happy with the service provided. Our oven originally broke the weekend before Thanksgiving. Not an ideal time to be without an oven. Javier was quick and great at communicating when making an appointment and came prepared with parts to fix my oven knowing what the issue may be based on many description of the issue. Quick repair and very professional. Would recommend to anyone in the Chicagoland area! Thanks for the great work.

My tech was early and quickly assessed the issue. What would have taken me hours trying to fix with YouTube videos took him less than an hour and we have a fully functional washer again. He was prompt, courteous and explained everything that I needed to know now about the issue and possible ways to not have this problem happen again. If something in my house breaks, I don’t even hesitate before reaching out to Appliance Repair Doctor. They have made repairs to various appliances at two different condos over the years, and they are always responsive and reliable. Omar is usually who comes out, and he’s always completely professional and explains everything he’s doing every step of the way. Last time he was out here repairing my dryer he discovered that some dryer duct cleaning I had done by another company recently wasn’t done correctly, and I narrowly avoided burning my place down. To see all the singed lint with my bare eyes was scary. Is it too dramatic to say he saved my life? Maybe. I’ve always trusted their work, but that incident sealed the deal and now they are stuck with me as a customer forever. :)

My wife and I have been using Appliance Repair Doctor for many years both in our own home and for some rental properties. We have been extremely satisfied since they have excellent service and are always trying to find the best solution for us. Omar is always giving us detailed recommendations and even provides advice over the phone if we have any appliance related questions. It was very easy to schedule an appointment to get my dryer repaired (smelled gas in the dryer drum.). Omar called before he arrived and did a great job of diagnosing the problem and also explaining it to me. Omar made the repair and also cleaned the entire dryer which was good.
