I contacted Michael at tidewater diamonds and we discussed him making me a Custom wedding set that he named ever us. I get it and after wearing it a few days it just seemed something was missing. So I contacted Michael and we decided to go with two bigger diamonds on the top. When it was done I drove from NC to the store in Virginia to get it and when I seen it I was in tears. I will say this, If you need a ring or any piece of Jewelry custom made Michael is the one to do it!! My set turned out to be 4 CT’s total after the bigger diamonds on the top. It is amazing and Beautiful and I absolutely love it. Michael worked with me as well as Rand and Carl in so many ways to make me happy with this set and very happy I am. I Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the lengthy phone calls to the emails and even the help with finding a hotel to stay at. I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I purchased an antique sterling silver labradorite ring that just called to me. Got the ring from another wonderful store but.....the ring was a Size 5 and barely fit on the tip of my pointer finger. I loved the ring so much that I purchased it anyway in the hopes of having it resized UP. I Googled Silversmiths and Tidewater Diamond popped up. I called and got Mike on the phone. Mike was super cheerful and very friendly. I felt at ease just talking to him, explaining what I needed. To my relief, they could resize my ring!! I drove over immediately and took over a couple of watches that also needed attention. The young woman who assisted me was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly (Mike was with another client). She resized both my watches (my wrists are small so she removed links out of the watches bands and gave 1 a new battery). This was done in about 15 minutes. Yay!! Both my watches finally fit my wrist! Now, any little jeweler in the Mall can take links out of your watch and replace a battery. But....not everyone can ADD MORE STERLING SILVER to resize an antique ring!! OMG!! They estimated it would take about 7 to 10 days. Honey.....I got a call TWO DAYS LATER informing me that my baby was ready!! They sized my finger to ensure a perfect fit. We went up 4 sizes because of the finger I wanted to wear it on!! The ring was perfect!! They polished it and it looked even more expensive than it was!! I am soo happy and will be taking a couple more pieces to them. You cannot even see how the ring was enlarged!! I highly recommend them for service, quality, expertise and pricing!!

I stopped in after searching online for a place that repairs silver jewelry; my wife has a sterling silver butterfly cuff -lots of sentimental value, but it broke one day. They finished repairing it, cleaned/polished it, and I was able to pick it up the next day. Im really pleased with their service, it looks beautiful, and its hard to see the two places where it broke. I didnt shop around, and so Im not sure if the $40 price was competitive. However, I am so pleased with their work and timeliness, that what I paid is worth it to me. I thought it would have cost more.While there, DaniJo asked if I was interested in seeing some pieces for my wife. Although I liked what she showed me, I declined, having already finished my Christmas shopping. But I continued thinking about it, and when I returned the next day to pick up the butterfly, I had changed my mind and bought a few pieces for my wife and daughter.Its a couple days later now, and ultimately, Im pretty happy with my choice to go there. Looking forward to surprising my girls when they look in their Christmas stockings! I dont buy jewelry often, but Ill definitely visit them again in the future when Im ready to buy more. Friendly staff, beautiful pieces, timely repair, and a range of services are the reasons why.

We were looking to change out my wedding band. We were not the typical customer. Many ladies look for big diamonds and platinum/white gold. Instead, I was looking for something simple, yellow gold, from the estate collection. DaniJo was patient with me to help me find the perfect ring in the right size. My office wanted to order a custom pendant for one of the employees who was retiring after 54 years. We wanted the pendant to be special and customized. I called Tidewater Diamond with only a three day notice. Rand was able to accommodate our short notice and customized the pendant exactly how we wanted it. The pendant looked even better than I could have imagined. Rand was able to even include our companys logo on the pendant. Rand even came in before Tidewater Diamond was scheduled to open so I could pick up the necklace. Rand also discounted the necklace we ordered. There prices are extremely fair. I had the opportunity to work with DaniJo and the jeweler to take my grandmothers ring, which had broken years ago, and turn it into a custom piece that I can pass on to my daughter. My daughter and I picked out pictures of ring designs we liked, sent them to DaniJo and the jeweler was able to take our ideas and transform them into a custom ring for us. I cant wait to see the final result!

Ive attempted to have it fixed at least 4 other times to no avail. But the jewelry repair expert at Tidewater Diamond knew just how to fix the problem. This repair was money well spent!!! The woman behind the counter was extremely rude. I went in to get a second opinion on selling back a piece of jewelry and when I said I got a better offer at another location she got very fresh about it and rolled her eyes and gave me some excuse that my documentation was inflated. Interestingly enough, I was offered more money from a national jewelry chain. Her attitude alone would make me never suggest coming here for anything.
