I have been a customer of Kouture for two years, and I have been consistently impressed with the service I receive. Marianna and Thomas are incredible nail technicians and do a very thorough job. I have never had a bad batch, and I routinely get SNS manicures, often with tips or trendy shapes. I am a regular client of Mariannas and I look forward to our conversations and time together.Kouture has undergone some managerial changes and some interior changes over the years but I am pleased with the end result. The renovations are beautiful: wall-to-wall marble nail bars and rows of nice, new pedicure chairs. The salon is always clean, and they offer complimentary wine as part of the service.I do feel the need to defend Kouture for one of the reviews on here:I saw a negative review that complained that the client was charged for a nail polish change and felt that she shouldnt have been because she had other services..... umm, that was a service you ordered, maam. That takes time and it takes materials. It is unreasonable to expect a freebie service from a trained professional, and to slander them when you are charged for it. For example, my hair stylist never gives me a free cut despite spending $200 on hair color, nor should she. I pay for the services I receive - all of them. That review was unconscionable and does not reflect the service I receive at Kouture or the quality of the staff. Just my two cents.

Very up to date boutique style environment, will use this salon any time Im in the Charlotte area. Mariana was very pleasant and did a great job on my pedicure! My boyfriend enjoyed his pedi as well😊

I’m new to Charlotte & have tried several nailSalons to find the right one for me. Kouture was one & they were changing ownership when I started going. Two sister run it, the smaller one very nice, the other sisters I think it’s Cathy not so much.I want to start with I’m NOT a difficult customer & I always tip 15-20%. I was with my previous nail professional for 15 Years.The treatment I received & the nickel and diming every time I had service was enough for me. I have given them plenty of tries but yesterday when the nail tech I had use on a previous scheduled visit didn’t want to do my pedicure. He was super rough with my feet & on his own took the yellow polish I gave him and added white which made them orange. I had to pay for a polish change on my toes while receiving $80 in service. I paid and that will be the last time they receive any of my money!I also stopped letting Cathy do my eyebrows see why for yourself below In pictures from the previous visit ( I should have never gone back after that!). It’s clear they ONLY want a certain audience as you can tell by their marketing pictures. I have observed the difference in treatment. AVOID THIS PLACE SIS!

Worst nail place in Charlotte. I got my nails done here 2 weeks ago, three days after one nail chipped. Now almost half of my nails are chipped and the acrylic is broken off. Went back a SECOND time to get them fixed and they stated they have a policy where they will only fix your nails within 5 days of service. To top it off, I called and asked to speak to the manager. The manager proceeded to become aggressive and defensive over the phone instead of apologizing for the poor service and experience I received. She continuously mentioned that the service was done over a month ago, when in fact it was done two weeks ago. The manager of this business was rude, and not professional I would never in a million years recommend this business!

Unfortunately, the experience has fallen off. Very difficult to make appointments and you can’t make an appointment for a nail repair and can’t walk in either so there really are no options. I got my nails done on Thursday and by Saturday the gel polish was peeling off 3 fingers. Tried to get it repolished but was unable to make an appointment or walk in. I went 2 times and called in advance once and once I arrived they couldn’t accommodate me. Also the techs doing the pedicures need to slow down and apply the top coat to the whole toe. I had 2 experiences where the top coat was not applied to full nail and it looked awful. They said they are short staffed so maybe you should update your hours or do appointment only for all services.

Cathy does amazing eyebrows ! Just kind of sucks you can’t make wax appointments but she’s good so it is worth the wait . Pleasant atmosphere

Me and my boyfriend just moved into uptown charlotte and decided to come here as part of our date night. We had the best pedicure ever! They really took their time and didnt rush, and were very hospitable! This will definitely be our primary nail salon going forward.

The worst experience when trying to get my nails done. They could not give me a time nor do a reservation by phone. So when I went they said it would be around an hour wait and would not put me on call list, waiting list, or any list. So I told them I would be back in an hour and I went to do other things. I came back (maybe 55 min later) and asked how long and he said maybe another hour. HORRIBLE SERVCE AND VERY INCOMPETENT STAFF. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER.

1 hour until closing and couldn’t get a toe polish change , literally only 2 ppl getting service and 5 workers inside .

I set an appointment for a full set, I haven’t had a full set in years but I brought a picture and they did not tell me that it was dip or anything. The nail tech did not speak enough English to answer my questions or explain anything. The nails were shaped terrible and the “dip” was not professional at all. I’ve never been charged so much for a full set, normally they would tell you how much more so you know what you are getting into. I will never return here again.

I would recommend this place!! Technicians are nice, salon is clean, price is fair and I love the quality work they offer!!! Keep up the good work Kouture team!!! Im def coming back. They also serve drinks!

I never leave reviews, but this place is so worth it. Vincent was efficient, courteous, and my nails look gorgeous. I have been in Charlotte for two years, and couldn’t find someone that knew how to do ombré nails, and also knows how to shape my nails correctly. He asked me up front what type of length, shape, and look I wanted to achieve. This is my new nail bar!

I’ve gotten my nails done with the dipping powder 2x with Thomas and he is great! I can tell he cares about the outcome of his work, which I appreciate. Will be returning and would definitely recommend to a friend!Also have had a blowout here and it was an overall great experience. Very relaxing and staff is quick to meet your needs, for example offering you a beverage right when you sit down.

Microblading is amazing. Go get your brows done by Tony at Brushed!! It’s quick, painless, and truly enhances your beauty. Not having to wake up and worry about makeup on my brows, OR fearing it may rub off in the gym or heat, makes my daily routine so much easier!!

Staff was professional, friendly and helpful! Recently moved to the area and checked them out as they are across the street...will definitely return. Prices were on point and service was great. They even offered me a glass of bubbly while I relaxed and had my pedicure!

They had the 50% off of all services sign still hanging on the front of the store, which is why I decided to check them out. When I went to pay, the man told me it was only 10%. That was disappointing - consider taking that sign down if you are no longer offering the deal. However, my gel manicure is amazing and looks soooooo good. Thank you Thomas for one of the best manicures I’ve ever had!

It was my first time there, I was so impressed, with the detail, and the explanation of powder versus acrylic. It was also nice not to have a TV with the news on, or a TV show. The television had beautiful sceneries and made it so relaxing.Everyone was so pleasant and nice.

I love coming to Brushed. I’ve been three times now, and every time I get more impressed! My SNS lasts at least 2 weeks and I could probably push to three with no chips, cracks or lifting. Every staff member I’ve had pays great attention to detail and I’ve had amazing results each time. I will definitely keep coming here and 100% recommend!

Everyone was very nice and wanted me to feel comfortable and cared for here. This was also the best manicure I’ve ever gotten, so I will definitely be visiting again!

I went there for gel nails. One nail wasn’t done properly and started to bubble and crack two days later. I went back to get it fixed by a different technician and it wasn’t done properly the second time either. It’s still bubbled up and cracked. Don’t go if you want to make good use of your time and money.

Plaza MidwoodNo one at front desk. Had to walk to the back for help and try to figure out who worked there. No one came forward....fingerprints on windows, signs, almost every surface. Very disorganized. Brow wax was subpar. Was sat in an odd chair for an eyebrow wax. Had to keep telling them....over here, under here all the while hot wax dripping on my face. Had to ask for left overs to be tweezed. Eyelashes sticking together when done. Did not feel professional at all.

Derek is AMAAAAZING!! He always does an amazing bayalage and gets it right the first time everytime!! I’ve been going to Derek for the past year or 2 and will not let anyone else touch my asian hair. It’s so hard finding someone who colors my hair so well without damage!!

Derek Moser gave me the most amazing blonde balayage. Most stylists have told me my hair would be damaged if they took me as light as I’ve wanted to go. Not only did he achieve the color results I’ve been wanting for years, the integrity of my hair is somehow better than it was prior to my visit with him.Tony, one of the owners, was extremely hospitable! They poured champagne and played great music, so the vibe was upbeat but relaxing, all at once.I’m a Charlotte native and Brushed by far my favorite salon; hands down, the best I’ve experienced.

They advertise on Instagram that they were having happy hour from 10 to 3 with 20% off all services which I was charged the full amount which is annoying don’t advertise it on IG if you’re not gonna give it to the customer and I was a first time but the service is great I would go back but they’re a little overpriced compared to the area salons which I’ve been going to and I’m perfectly happy sticking with them
