Empire Beauty School is an amazing school that I have had the pleasure of weekly visits for shampoo/ blow dry, deep conditioning, hair trims and color. The school offers many services performed by students under the advisement of a first class teaching staff! My stylist, Joelle has now become my go to hair care artist and a graduate of Empire Beauty School. I will follow Joelle as she starts her career. Thank you Empire for helping me find this amazing young woman!

Giving the fact that these are STUDENTS! They do good work. Not every student did my hair the same or perfect, but overall I have good experiences. If you want a special style, go to a special stylist! But if you go with normal expectations you will leave happy 😃 I do every time!!!

Set an appointment for 10am today (8/25) over the phone with someone named Kelly. The staff was nice but when I went back with my stylist she asked what I was getting. I told her a wash, trim and braiding on my natural hair. She looked super confused. Found out that the person I talked to on the phone didnt write down that I was getting braids only a wash and trim. Even though she repeated back to me what services I was getting done. My stylist didnt know how to braid at all (which is fine, i wasnt upset with her about that) but there was not a single person in the building that could braid. I was super annoyed because today was pretty much the only day I had available to get my hair done. Especially with my schedule and the new business hours of several salons not lining up. Luckily I was easily able to book a same day appointment at a salon. It was my first time coming here but i drove an hour to get there so idk if Id ever come back.

Bad experience. I did my appointment and I explain exactly what I want. The day of my appointment I was so excited and I be there punctual with my book and coffee ready for a change! Well when I was seatting to start my highcolors they ask me about the patch test, they never said to me I need to have a patch test the day before. Its incredible how they only said so sorry and ask me when I want to reschedule.

I am a current student at the Chandler,Az location of Empire Beauty. Since enrolling, I have truly enjoyed everyday here. The staff and educators are extremely talented and dedicated to teaching you the ins and outs of the industry. With the education in getting here, I feel like I’ll be more than prepared to take the state board exams. As well as be able to have a successful career and future. The students there are some of the most creative and incredible people I’ve met in a long time.

I got highlights at this location and terrible is the nicest way to describe it. My hair is completely ruined, and now I have to spend a lot of money to get the color corrected. The highlights themselves are bad (and brassy), but there’s also random patches of orange, mostly on the back of my head. Obviously, the student didn’t have adequate supervision. They also didn’t have the correct foils so they had to use an alternative. I requested a refund but they said that they can’t do refunds, that they can only fix it. When I asked how they would fix it, the woman said they would lighten it more, and that it might be MORE orange after. I would rather shave my head than let anyone at this school touch my hair again.

Won’t be going back & don’t recommend going.I was getting my hair done & my stylist was doing a great job & obviously I know they are still learning which is completely fine. The teacher (Mrs. Alana) was NOT teaching. She was so rude to the student and myself. I felt so bad. I just kept reassure the student that I loved how she did my hair & that she was doing great(which is true)A perfect word for her would be a BULLY. She made the student feel so low it made me sick.The only positive experience I had was when I was leaving, the ED(I think) Mrs. Doriea asked how my visit was & that I looked great. I didn’t mention the situation because the teacher was close by giving me the side eye so I just said it was good & left to pay. So disappointed and I pray those students don’t give up because of that teacher. I hope that some action will be taken for that teacher.

My name is Raven, and as a current student and vice president of the student council, I think we have really gotten far from when I first started. Students and staff are very competent and talented. We are a school, so there always is room for improvement, but I feel I am well educated by my instructors, and everyone is definitely very compassionate. Our director is definitely getting things done that needs to be done. New paint, clean and waxed floors, we even have new vending machines! Over all, I am very proud to call myself an empire student!

I have been a client at this location ever since it opened. I have had great service at this salon, both in quality and courtesy from entire staff and students.The atmosphere and professional decorum are well received. I can see this educational program produces students that will be well qualifed to move into the beauty field.

Currently attending Empire at the Chandler location, and I love it. All of the teachers and students are very friendly and helpful. The teachers at Empire go above and beyond to ensure all of the students are well educated. The salon is kept very clean and sanitized and all of the students working on the salon floor are very professional.

I always have a wonderful experience at Empire Chandler! My stylist Keke styles my hair in braids and curls combo which surpasses my greatest expectations. Given creative freedom she has created multiple styles that are unique and beautiful. The best thing is that they provide protection to my hair. The AZ heat can be brutal but Kkes styles have kept my hair healthy. In addition, the products used are quality so your hair is well taken care of. All the stuff are great.

Andrea did a fantastic job on my color and cut! Andrea and her instructor, George, were both very attentive and friendly. I live in Mesa and will keep coming back to Empire.

I went in to get my hair washed and colored. I also had a weaved in ponytail. The would not help me take my ponytail out. Another lady that was there had just got her hair done helped me take the ponytail out outside. I will not be going back to that school. Bad customer service.

I scheduled a birthday party for my child and 10 friends. The party was supposed to consist of a simple hair style, a mini mani, and toe nail polish. The price was extremely reasonable and everyone was very nice. That being said, I regret my decision to have the party here. It was not very organized. The girls stood around for a while when they first arrived waiting to get their services. I had to keep track of who had and had not gotten nails done. And the services were inconsistent. Some only got a polish change not a mini mani. But for the price, it wasnt a big deal. My biggest problem was that I was told they could style curly hair. I brought in pictures and explained how long, thick and curly the birthday girls hair is. I was assured that she would be put with someone experienced who could do that kind of hair. Several hours and several different people later the instructor came out and said they did it wrong, shrugged and walked away. My birthday girl cried and cried from all of the pulling, combing and blow drying they tried to do without proper products or technique. They finally found someone who could braid it. It was pretty in the end but it was 5 hours of torture for her and she hated the party because she didnt get to participate in her own party with her friends. The little girls with straight hair all had a good time and there were no problems.

Went to get braids put in in time for my birthday called ahead of time made the appointment for the life of me do not understand why the booked me w someone who has time restrictions and possibly wouldnt have been able to finish my hair. End of day told teacher Mrs. A no fault of the student but I will not be able to come back to get my hair done because my work schedule and reason I booked today was charged for full service. Called left a voice mail for director Ms. DOREA bo return calls. Called again spoke to Jennifer (who I love btw) she apologized cause she knows me and my daughter come often. Finally spoke to Ms. DOREA who offered when I can come to return to get my hair finished. That is not a offer for something I paid would rather have my money back vs u saying next 2 appointments on us and tried to justify Mrs. A charging me full service for something not completed. I am so disappointed in this service I will not return which is sad because I loved coming here since I moved to arizona

I had shoulder length hair when i walked in and i asked for a pixie cut and they did a great job my stylist Kera asked questions the whole time to make sure she didnt mess up and she did a great job and everyone is super nice there

So normally me and my daughter go to get our hair done there. Booked an appointment for my mother to get her hair done my mother comes in town from california to be told by the day teacher they will not do the style and i need to call after 6pm and talk to Ms. Tashona if she now wants the style. The lady we spoke to which i am pretty sure it was the blonde lady who is usually there was beyond rude on the phone. Me nor my daughter will be going back to get our hair done in the future which is sad bc i love the student who does our hair and Ms. tashona

BEWARE FUTURE STUDENTS!DONT NOT GIVE THEM YOUR TALENT!This is not the school you want to go to if youre planning to find a future in cosmetology. This school is beyond impotent they never have any products believe me I know this first hand because unfortunately I call this place my school and I highly regret my decision I should have really researched it prior to having to now suffer the consequences.So here I am warning you!-All they care about is their money not you or your education so pay up!-The so call receptionist if thats what you want to call her is just unequipped for the position who would have thought scheduling a client was soooo hard -_--Also the receptionist will book you double book you and not care-The teachers are sooo under appreciated by management if it wasnt for the teachers some not all I would have chosen another career. The teachers are amazing they do a lot to keep us going.-They never have the products you need (i.e. hair color, shampoo, conditioners, styling products) so you have to improvise and or let your client know that we are out of the product. (how unprofessional)-we are lucky if all of our sinks are functioning but thats always up in the air.-The establishments is so under kept the floors are garbage they are stained never waxed-The stations are old and falling apart you would think that with the $22,000 tuition per student they would take some to improve the schools appearance reason why I dont bring any of my friends or family to get services done because its highly embarrassingNOW MANAGEMENT!-We dont have an Executive Director because everyone who attempts to fill those shoes fails drastically.-The interim ED is a complete joke he says that he is here for your needs but when it comes to complaints he sweeps them under the carpet-You are just money to them they dont care about your education or success because if they did they would arm you with the right tools but they fail at that especially with not having the right products to service your client-No matter who you go to and file a complaint they dont care AT ALL! No matter who you call or who you reach out to you are on your own with a huge loan and nowhere to goAll in all, depending who you have as an educator you may be lucky and learn something but when it comes to the rest of EMPIRE take your money and talent elsewhere.DONT SAY I DIDNT TRY TO WARN YOU!

Vista for the first time last year. My coloring was not applied correctly, nor was there supervision that weekend. The young who was designated as supervisor never checked my coloring, she just sat at the front desk that weekend.

I walked in without setting up an appointment and got a stylist within 5-10 minutes! All I wanted was a wash, blowdry, and straighten. I worked with Rico and my hair has never been so soft and straight before! I hated my hair natural and now I can wear it without being worried!! Nothing but great things to say.

We booked a party Girl Package for my daughter and niece, the girls who did it we very nice and did a decent job but not sanitary at all. The chairs were disgusting and the salon wasnt very orgnazied. They used the same lip gloss applicator on my niece and my daughter. Now, I wonder who else they used it on. That is digusting and should be reported to State Board. The receptionist was extremly rude. Not professional at all. Will probably talk to someone about their unsanitary pratices. That is extremely unsanitary and can spread disease.** update** My sister pointed out to me as were we leaving she noticed it was a personal lip gloss from the receptionist. I am disgusted. Wiped that off my daughter as soon as we left.
