New owner - charged $15 for cleaning posts on battery - used to be free for repeat customers. My radio didnt work after this (it worked perfectly when I came in -was told it was my problem/not their responsibility. I asked for a quick quote for a problem with my hood cable...after 30 min & no communication, I left. I told owner about all these issues & was told we arent a charity. I never implied that I wanted free work - I just wanted solutions to these issues. The family run business (since 1951) with reliable, honest, considerate staff is no more.

Last year I treated myself to a 2004 Lexus SC430 with 36K original miles, it was the same make and model of a car I previously owned and loved. The car was as clean as the day it first arrived at the dealership, pristine. Fast forward a year and my tire sensor light came on. Took it to the dealership who advised that I needed to replace all four tires and tire sensors. The tires were worn plus based on the age they needed to be replaced. What I did have any issue with is that they wanted $385 per sensor. I was informed by the service writer to not waste my time going to a tire shop because they would not be able to program the sensors to the computer in my car. Decided to check that out for myself.The stars must have been aligned because decided to call Dana Tire & Auto Service in Chandler. I spoke with JR who was confident that he would be able to help and had me drive over to see if their computer could read the sensors. He also called the manufacturer of the sensor to confirm that they would be able to pair the sensors and the manufacturer, guaranteed that the sensors would automatically pair with the computer. After installing the sensors, unfortunately that did not happen. So, JR spoke with the manufacturer who told them to take my car to Lexus and have them program the sensors and send them the bill. Today, the owner of Dana Tire along with JR picked up my car, drove to the dealership and had the sensors programmed. Went back to pick up the car and delivered it back at no charge to me.I’ve dealt with many auto repair businesses over the years and I’ve never had an experience like I had at Dana Tire. Giving this business 5 stars is just not enough. Throughout the entire ordeal they couldn’t be any more professional, accommodating and were not going to quit until my problem was totally solved. They did all of this at a $1200 savings over the dealer cost! So, if you need tires or auto repair and want to deal with a business that will treat you like family then I strongly suggest you go to Dana Tire & Auto Service in Chandler.

They took my car in for a pretty big project, ( changing my turbocharger) in my 2015 gti. They have been very helpful, resourceful and amazing with their follow up. I will definitely be coming back here since the staff is amazing and their effort.

Editing my review after they attempted to take advantage of me and lie to me over a $70 part. They told me it was a special part that had to be ordered and was expensive, and that it would be $645 to replace a $70 hose for power steering. After I had paid $75 to have my car towed one mile to their shop, they attempted to completely rip me off. They sure got their $68 to diagnose what was wrong out of me, too. I towed it somewhere else and paid $125 to have the hose replaced AND my oil changed. Will never ever trust this place or recommend them again.I love this place. Employees that are very straight forward and honest about what I need. Fair prices, and Ive already recommended this place to 2 or 3 other people. Thank you for being awesome!

I had a valve stem on one of my tires bust open, I took it into them they fixed it within 10 minutes. Super friendly staff great service I recommend them to anybody.

I came to Dana Tire suspecting a slow leak in my front tire. Scott Dana gave me excellent service and found the nail in the tread and patched it. I was very pleased with his courtesy and promptness of service. He even parked my car heading out to the road so I wouldnt have to back out into heavy traffic. I would highly recommend Dana Tire for their honesty and excellent work.

Brought my car in for a rear window regulator replacement and had them work on my front axle that was leaking grease. There are good reasons why Dana Tire & Auto receive such outstanding reviews! My family, just like the other reviewers, have always had great service. They are honest and dependable. They are proud of their reputation and their service technicians have been with them for many years. I had a my van serviced a few weeks ago and Scott was the technician. One of the things he did was to check the air conditioning filter. After changing that filter, my air conditioner purred! My 8-year-old van runs like new. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my regular service checks! I know everyone has their favorite technician, but mine is Scott!

Amazing service anytime I come here. I never feel pressured into any service that I dont need or want. They also give great recommendations on where to get certain auto parts or where to go for services they may not offer. I even got my side mirror replaced even though the dont necessarily do body work. This is a great place with a stellar group of guys!!

I have always heard people make a lot of negative comments about places like Jiffy Lube where they sell you service that they did not actually perform (a news agency went undercover and did a story about it). So when I came to Phoenix I knew I wanted to avoid chains and find a nice local, family owned place to bring my car.For major work, I take my car to a dealer but for simple maintenance like an oil change I always take my car to Dana Tire. Their prices are low (I have a civic and pay about $23 for an oil change and tire rotation, and they even remember to re-set my little digital oil life gauge) and the owner is super nice and down to earth. I am usually in and out in about 30 minutes.There is only one tiny concern I have about the shop... when I took my car in for the first time they did a x-point check, gave me a checklist showing what they looked at, and told me my air filter was at mid-life. I thought it was pretty nice they did those sorts of checks for free. However, they have not done one on my car since and Im not sure why. A friend of mine who took her car there right after I did (because I recommended them) didnt get a check either. No big deal I guess, since the only thing I go in for is a oil change. Anything else would be a bonus. If you want a x-point check, ask for one.

My Father and I been doing business with this Family for 35 years... he was in Insurance and had all their homes, cars and a few Life policies till he retired.... I still do business with them.. know all of them.. Ted, Kieth, Kenny, Scott, Wade... never had a bad experience and if something was not quite right , they fixed it..... could not ask for better service or trust a better place for you vehicular needs...

Have my cars oil changed here and they are very good. Slightly over priced but you know they are getting the job done right. Maybe a couple discounts might be good. They are busy all the time so get here early. Update: used to go here all the time. Last couple experiences were bad. One was a diagnostic. Ill be looking for a new mechanic

I got so much work done , motor mount , all new tires, struts, shocks front end alignment, etc... I am so impressed with the work that they did. The new owner Scott is so nice. He gave me a ride home so I didn’t have to pay for an Uber. Also the guys that work there are so friendly. They are honest and tell you up front what needs to be done. There is so many rip offs out there , this place You can trust. I’ll never take my mazda any where else !!! It rides like. New car (2006) LOVE DANA’s TIRES !! DAMEIN AND DUSTIN ARE THE GUYS UP FRONT. Called in today about needing a tire and got it done within 15 minutes of being there. By far the fastest service I’ve ever had. Everyone was nice and straight to the point of what I needed done, will always go to this place for now on.

Went to get a new battery and right from the first contact the mexican guy at the cashier was in a bad mood was very rude so I left I never get upset but this was very bad customer service I would definitely not recommend anyone to go here if they act like this with customers I could just imagine how careless they are working on cars

I have been a customer of Dana Tire for nearly 2 decades. I have always appreciated the Mom & Pop nature of Dana Tire. The staff is always friendly, and the technicians are down to earth. I recently had my AC in my truck evacuated and recharged. A couple weeks later, the low-side pressure hose developed a leak. Brandon took care of me right away even though the AC service and hose failure was more than likely not related. Thanks Scott and Brandon!

First and last visit.You really do get what you pay for. After seeing the 4.6 rating and all the good reviews, I decided to give these guys a shot. Theyre cheaper than my local dealership, obviously, and I figured Id support a local business.I was only there for an oil change, which clocked in just shy of 2 hours. About 90 minutes into the waiting was when the adviser came out to let me know they were starting the oil change. This left me pretty annoyed.2 hours go by and my oil change is done, and I get a thanks for your patience, but nothing more.The cherry on top was when I got back into my car and was met with an overwhelming smell of body odor. Having just cleaned my car and vacuuming the interior, this left me pretty pissed off.All in all, you really get what you pay for. This place was a little cheaper than my dealership, but I waited twice as long. My car smelled like body odor, and I feel like somehow they got my steering wheel dirty with something, but I cant tell. They dont use the paper floor mats, either.

After another major player in the auto repair business told me my tire was not repairable and in fact I should probably purchase 2 new tires I called Dana Tire for a second opinion. Sure glad I didnt spend over $400 because Dana repaired it for $18. Ive bought several sets of tires from them and would recommend them highly!

Dropped by the other day for a diagnostic check on my battery. Scott took me in immediately and checked the battery. The printout indicated it was week, and Scott advised it may be time to change it, since the AZ summers tend to destroy batteries.Scott checked, and much to my surprise told me I had a remaining pro-rated warranty. The cost was pro-rated and very reasonable. This is a small family-run business, and Scott is a straight-up and honest fellow. I will not hesitate to return for additional service.

I had been having electrical(auto parking lights suddenly are not automatic any more) issues for some time in my car, that had lead to perpetual battery drainage. Had dealt with Kenny at the service center and explained the whole story. He ran his diagnostics and was great about explaining the results, but sadly did not have a good answer for me as to why a certain automatic light timer had suddenly stopped working for me. Even though they didnt have a solution, he was quick to refer me to someone who specialized in the subject.

Great and honest service. They told me about the gimmicks that other places try to charge extra for like always having to rebuilt the TPMS system. They also didnt charge for misc fees like replacing the air valve. Total cost for install of tires was 30% less than the next best quote I got.

Friendly Staff and help understanding fix and riskI had flat tire due to nails in center and on side. Discount tire & other store like that does not fix nails on side wall or I would say does not look at damage at all. I called dana tire and Kevin/Scott asked me to visit. if something can be fixable will do fix. They patch one puncture in center and told that does not need patch on side because nail is not through tire & air is not leaking.Thanks Kevin and Scott.

They are great for my business, that runs several trucks. Their prices are great and I dont feel like some is trying to rip me off like I have at other places. They will actually repair a flat and not tell you that you have to buy a new tire.

I called Danas in an emergency situation. My mobile grooming trailer rear bearing blew out. I took it over and Scott looked at it and said they would fix it. They were swamped with work and they somehow squeezed in my trailer to fix the wheel bearing. While looking at the 3 other wheel bearings the other side also needed the bearings replaced. I cant thank them enough for getting me all fixed up and back on the road. I will definitely be using their service for my maintenance on my truck as well. Thanks a bunch. Your business is the bomb.

I brought in a tire from one of my vehicles flat and with a nail in it. They went to my trunk took the tire had it repaired in 15 mins and charged me 15 bucks. Put it back in my trunk and I was on my way. Good bunch of guys with quick service. Thank you.

I brought my 2015 mustang in to have the front toe set to zero and my two front tires swapped from left to right.Instead of conveying this to Marcos, the technician, Scott put on the ticket that an alignment needed to be done to factory specs and then rotated my tires front to rear himself.I have done business with these folks before and I was not disappointed. However, I got the impression from Scott, specifically, that he didnt care what I wanted and when I came in to pick up the Mustang and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service provided, his first instinct was to cover himself by blaming me, his customer, for the problem, as though I did not make myself clear when I came in.While it is possible I was not clear enough about what I wanted, I do not believe that was the correct response. I did not feel welcome in the shop because of Scott and will not be returning unless I can avoid doing business through him.I have been racing since I was a teenager and I know I am a very articulate speaker. It is unlikely I did not convey my needs about my vehicle to Scott in a way that was clear.Regardless, I believe his response was unfriendly and made me feel like I could not trust him. I value my cars very much, likely a great deal more than the average consumer, and I will not do business with a shop that employs personnel who are abrasive or terse.On top of this personality conflict, I was not quoted a price for the work before I left my car in the morning. Obviously I was mistaken to trust I would get a fair price. When I returned for the second time to pick up the car after corrections had been made, I was charged for a full alignment and a mount and balance for both front tires to the tune of 99 dollars. This was much more than I expected.However, to Scotts credit, he discounted the price from 109 to 99, stating that the price for a two wheel alignment was only ten dollars less than a full alignment. While this may be true, the price shock only added insult to the initial problem.Dana is likely not the worst shop in existence, but I would not recommend this shop to anyone based on this experience.They are very nearby for me so I am sad to say so, but until their business practices include up front estimates and taking responsibility for mistakes, even if they were not entirely at fault, I will not be returning. I wish I could, because I know I will have to take plenty of work elsewhere.

These guys are frickin awesome. Down to earth, straight forward, no nonsense shop. Weve interacted the most with Kevin, but theyre all really nice and very helpful guys. My womans intuition doesnt even start to blip! lol - hence I feel like theyre being honest about the work needed and the actual costs. Probably wont be taking our vehicles anywhere else any time soon. Shoot, if you come at the right time, they might even share some of their BBQ with you! Lol!

$105.99 for a diagnostic!???? Scott wouldnt tell me if my car parts were still under warranty.... I told him i brought my car to them less than a year ago for the same reason and I tried to ask if the parts were under warranty, his reply well we need to do a diagnostic and that will cost you $105.99 and go from there, it doesnt sound like its the same thing again. Id rather take my car to some fancy dealer and get charged an arm/leg before i come here for service!!! Greedy!!
