John, Jason and his crew are insanely knowledgeable about all years of mustang. He did a rather intensive build on my mustang and it turned out pretty awesome. This is a real shop, not a chain shop. There are parts scattered everywhere its like a mustang toy store. I came to John with one plan and he was able to are it to a different level and make the build better than I imagined. If you go here let John guide you. If given the chance to get creative he can deliver a sweet project.

Honest and Passionate. MustangShopOfAz repaired the steering power piston on my 66 Mustang. Glad I did attempt to repair myself based on armchair analysis done by many in the various mustang forums pointing to a steering control valve.based on my symptoms. John diagnosed the cause of the issue to a modification previously done to one of the holding brackets to clear the headers. Overall communication excellent I was walking around and under the car with John helping my understanding of my own mustangs components and potential issues. An Invaluable experience. Recommend.

I spent 1.5hrs today with John selecting parts for a 1989 Foxbody project. I cant say enough about the time given and customer service provided. Will update/ share my experience once the car is picked up and driven.Update to my post from over a year ago........Car returned to me mid AUG 21I have updated the star rating from 5 to 1 based on my personal experience. I would add that if asked the question on recommending this shop to family or friends it would be, no.The car was dropped off AUG 20 with an estimated 90 days to complete the work per John (owner) estimated completion time. It took over a year to have the vehicle returned and came back with issues.I pre- paid for the parts (7K) on a engine rebuild and other misc items. After visiting the shop on a consistent basis I found out that 8 months into the build he had not purchased the parts that I given him the money to buy.Also, the shop deviated from the parts list that we agreed upon. Example, I paid for a entire Trick Flow upper kit and was informed by John that he didnt order the kit but had piece-miled the kit.The car has old parts that I paid to be new (example: old leaking steering rack) , leaking from rear main seal, AC not working, damaged valve covers and upper intake.I have no doubt that John has forgotten more about these cars than I will ever know. The only issue for me is that the missing attention to detail for the amount of money that I spent at this shop. PRO: I would add that on a trip to Tucson the car was brought to me because I didnt have a way to go and pick up.I texted John with issues and he said to make a list and bring the car back. I am obviously skeptical to go based on this past experience and length of time that he kept the car.I will update if everything is resovled to my standard.

This is the place where you want to take your mustang. After 3 other shops I tried previously, the mustang shop fixed the issue with my clutch. It been over six months and the clutch still works smoothly. The work have been excellent and the price was very very reasonable compared to the previous 3 shops. Once again this is the place to go if you want the job to be done right the first time. I highly recommend the mustang shop to any and all mustang owners. Thank you John and thank you Jason for a great job. I thought my car was dead until I found your guys. Thanks a lot!

These guys definitely know mustangs, especially the classics. If you need something done they have seen it and done it before. The dudes in there are knowledgeable honest. I had a few things done on my 69 mustang and they did a good job and fixed a problem I didn’t even know I had. Definitely straight forward and honest mechanics.

These guys know classic mustangs inside and out. Great group of people to deal, if you want it done right, this is your shop. This should have been my first stop to get the restomod done on my mustang; however, they were able to fix the short comings of the shops that worked on it prior. This will be the only shop that touches my classic mustang. Fair and honest!

Worst shop in the valley of the sun don’t go there. They are never on time and when they repair something you always have to go back to get it fixed more then once.

They fixed my 2008 Saleen fast and for a reasonable price. My go-to place for Ford work.

The gentleman who owns the shop will do whatever to make money. He wrote down everything that needed to be done on paper we signed it. When we came back he didnt do anything upon which we agreed and said he never made a contract and ended up charging us more than originally agreed. I also forgot to mention we came in with the parts and just wanted him to do the work and he refused to give our own parts back. Sketchy man
