Took my car in for an oil change. 3 weeks later the check engine light came on. Took my car in to get that diagnosed and spent $400 on repairs and diagnostics. 3 days later the check engine light was back on again. Took the car back in and spent an additional $280 on repairs. Dropped car off to get looked at again and after I picked it up later that day the check engine light came back on an hour later. I have dropped this car off 3 different times and spent over $700 already and they still have not figured out my check engine light issue. The only positives I can say is that they are friendly and have local shuttle service. Other than that I will not be taking any of my cars back here. Update: Tony the owner reached out and requested I bring my car back in so they could fix the issue again under their warranty. After dropping it off one more time they did fix the check engine light again and explained what was going on. To be determined if the same issue pops up again soon. They were very nice and accommodating about it. I do appreciate the follow up from the owner.

Wow! The repair experiences headaches I would have avoided if Id known about Christian Brothers Automotive years ago. My experience with Christian Brothers has consistently been that they treat me as a valuable customer, even for just a simple oil change. They are friendly, courteous and, above all, professional! Today I went in for an under engine splash guard reattachment, which had come lose on one side. I fully expected and was willing to pay for the labor to re-attach it, but they wouldnt accept payment. They considered it a customer appreciation repair. Thank you, CBA!

Went in for throttle body relearn ended up doing a computer module update, valve gaskets and a stop lamp switch for very great price. Mike and Keith were excellent in communicating and updating as well as explaining services rendered. Truck is running great has more power and sounds better then ever and not to mention the peace of mind with their online inspection sent to your phone with pictures of the issues present really helps when taking to a shop. Definitely recommend to anyone.

INSANE rates. I wanted to replace a tail light on a truck (it pops in and out, then is held by two screws.) 5 minutes of work, $50 part or just over $100 if you get a pack of two.They quoted me over $400, and convinced me to just do it myself.

I was so grateful that even though you were fully booked for the day you squeezed us in and even finished hours before the estimated completion time. I loved the consistent updates so that I knew exactly what was going on. I loved how clean the office and even the mechanics work areas were. I loved the follow up a few days after the service was completed just to make sure my daughter made it back to college and that the car operated well. So thoughtful. Definitely recommend.

I took my truck in for a transmission and transfer case service along with providing an aftermarket transmission cooler that I wanted to install to replace my existing. They did an excellent job and kept me in the loop at all times. They actually came in under their original estimate!

My experience was not at all pleasant at Christian Brother’s. After paying my (hefty) bill for some normal brake service, I was assured that my vehicles brakes were clear to drive on and fully operational. However after leaving the shop I began experiencing some very serious issues with braking, and my vehicle began smoking from the rear brakes that were JUST installed. As a matter of fact it got so bad that the smoke was making its way up into the cabin of my car and through the air vents. I had no power on the road because the brakes were engaging even when I would accelerate on the gas like normal. Not to mention the added stress on my drive train components and engine trying to get me home safely while riding against the brakes (extremely hard), the entire time. Once I brought the vehicle in the next day to have them fix the problem they caused, I requested they do a transmission fluid flush and change for the inconvenience and added stress on the drivetrain, and they declined. Save yourself the headache and skip this place. I will not be going to any Christian Brother’s Auto locations in the future

Had some issues with my drive shaft slipping out due to cracked rear lift blocks while driving in the mountains. CB was able to get me in right away. After discovering that an auto shop purposely overcharged me over a male friend, my manager referred me to Christian Brothers Automotive.The Ocotillo location has always been professional, exceptionally clean, friendly, and offers fair prices for their exceptional services. On one occasion, their fantastic free shuttle service was running later than expected. No big deal - I asked to reschedule my service to be on time for work, but their owner, Tony, insisted on driving me to work (his staff was busy, including the front desk). It doesnt get any better than that, folks!Also, I like their new features, such as texting the customer and providing a link with your cars photos. Ive heard of friends paying for cabin and engine filter replacements to discover that the old, dirty filters were still intact. You wont have that problem with this new feature, and their COVID protocol makes everyone feel very safe! Give them a call for your automotive needs, male or female! You wont regret it.

Havent had a negative experience so far! Everytime I have come everyone has been so nice with no pressure for sales. I was running late today and they were still willing to get me in and seen instead of rescheduling. Office is always so clean and they were kind enough to allow me to wait in the waiting room when the world is in a crazy time with COVID.

Every time, they have been extremely professional, being transparent about the issues, recommended fix and costs and timeline to get it resolved. And post the visit, Dean has followed up with a personal call to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. Additionally, during covid, they have been extra cautious implementing contact-less drop-off and pick-up, including virtual inspection reports (with video) and text/email based invoices & payments

I heard great things about Christian Brothers, but unfortunately I had an underwhelming experience. I took my car in because I noticed a small amount of transmission fluid leaking. After they looked at my car, they told me that I needed to have my transmission rebuilt and it would cost at least a few thousand dollars. Then the tech clearly overfilled the fluid, causing it to spill large amounts of fluid everywhere I parked. I checked the dipstick and it was at least a couple quarts over. Since I was having no other issues with the transmission besides the leak, I got a second opinion. I found out that this is a very common issue on my car, enough that there is actually a bulletin released by the dealer. And it was about a $500 repair, not $5K. I had it fixed elsewhere, but got stuck with a repair bill from CB for a misdiagnosis. Other than being friendly, I was not impressed by this shop and will not return.

Zack Joey Mike and the Christian Brothers Ocotillo team are the BEST! Face it, dealing with car costs is often painful, but together the team helped me to prioritize urgent vs. soon issues. They give honest estimates that are accurate and provide excellent customer service including referrals for work they do not handle such as transmission rebuilds. They also made a COVID experience seamless in how they handled delivery of estimates, payments and courtesy driver to and fro. My 2006 New Beetle and I are now loyal customers!

Really recommend this place! They were very nice and have a really good procedure in place for dropping off and picking up your car due to COVID. Got a transmission flush and actually ended up paying less than what they originally quoted me for, bonus! They sent me a very detailed inspection list with pictures which is really nice and they weren’t pushy about getting the extra services done today, which as a woman I can appreciate. Overall very pleased with them and will definitely be going back to them for my other services!

My car had a shredded serpentine belt. This place came recommended to me and I checked out their ratings, 5 stars and no negative reviews. I called them up and was told they could get right on it so I had my car towed there and they sent me a text with what it would cost to replace. I told them to go ahead and when they finished that if they could run a diagnostic because it felt like my engine was trying to stall out when I shifted into reverse. I was told there would be a charge for the diagnostic and I said ok. They ordered my belt and the next day installed it and ran the diagnostic. They told me they couldnt find anything wrong on the diagnostic and there would be no charge for it. They did however find my motor mounts were worn out and causing what I was feeling when shifting. I had them replace them and the next day I picked up my car, ready to go. Most everything was done through text and I paid online and there was no contact when picking up. The only negative thing I can say is when I got in to start it, it didnt fire right up like normal but that could be from very low fuel as I hadnt stopped for gas before it broke down. Runs, drives and shifts just fine now.

I had installed an aftermarket air conditioning system in my 1969 camaro, and Christian Brothers completed the project by charging the system and completing the wiring. I came back to them because of prior satisfaction from the service they previously provided me and my classic car.

Very efficient paperless process from estimate through payment which made it very low stress. The inspection report and estimate was very complete with photos as appropriate. Everyone was very polite and professional and the service performed on my vehicle was completed much sooner than I expected. I will definitely be using Christian Brothers Automotive again!

Christian Brothers isnt the cheapest shop in the world, if youre just looking to save a buck, but, in my opinion, this marginal extra spend is well worth it for the service, attention to detail, and, perhaps most importantly, communication I get with every repair or service. These guys are easily the best about communicating, quickly, clearly, and transparently. They dont try to scare anybody into repairs, simply educating and providing clear estimates, and the team is easy to reach in case of any questions/concerns. I cant speak for all locations, but I feel like Im in good hands with Tony & the CBA-Ocotillo team.On top of all these positives, Christian Bros provides complimentary shuttle service (within a reasonable distance), which has come in clutch on more than a few occasions, cutting out one of the biggest headaches in getting to/from a trip to the shop--finding a ride. Not having to hassle family/friends/spouses or buy an Uber is a huge plus. Its quick, comfortable, and the drivers, just like the staff at the shop, are great.One last major plus is their Nice Difference Warranty. All repairs are guaranteed for 3 years/36,000, whichever comes last. My car had a power steering fluid leak in the pressure line, causing it to make a whining sound. I brought it to my local TOYOTA dealer who told me the power steering pump was damaged and had to be replaced at a cost of over $1700! They also strongly recommended replacing an array of other parts they photographed that were splashed with power steering fluid to the tune of almost $4700! And to top it off, they made me sign an agreement that no matter what, I would owe them $70 just to diagnose the problem. The enormity of this ripoff was too much to bear so I fired the dealership, screaming bloody murder until they waived the $70 fee. In my first visit to their shop, Christian Brothers Automotive on 290 E. Ocotillo quickly diagnosed that the only problem was the pressure line which they replaced for under $500 including a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty! My PS Pump is working like new and absolutely did not have to be replaced. CB was honest, reasonable and friendly all the way. Theyve mastered the art of doing their work free of personal contact during the pandemic, making the process even easier and faster! I heartily recommend them, especially when the greedy practices of some dealerships are Two Big to believe.

Way overpriced for alternator replacement. They do good work, but $200 + more than other repair shops. Alternator was not even new and was remanufactured, which is fine, but the part cost was at least $200 more than it should have been. Unfortunately, I could not shop it around since my car was not drivable.

They gave me options and seemed like they were trying to save me money ( very unusual in my experience). Overpriced.....Great service. Associates were kind, knowledgeable, communicative and transparent throughout the process. Successfully fixed my issues twice. I feel they are overpriced though, as most big franchises are. Pretty much had to get my A/C replaced ($2500 plus). Later met a certified quality mechanic on the street who would have done the work for only a few hundred, parts and labor..........I recommend all to ask friends and family, search OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist etc. until you find quality mechanics willing to do work for a fraction of the cost of these big chains. Easier said than done, of course, may come across some bad apples before you find a good one, but it will be totally worth it in the end. This industry is extremely greedy, but there is always someone on the street who can offer quality AND great value. Not just quality alone like some of these big chains. Let me add that most big chains don’t even have quality nor good value. No regrets though because it led me to the connections I now have that offer quality for cheap.
