Despite the name, the service here is far above average! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Joe is incredibly professional, punctual, honest, and kind. I took my car in for a bumper cover replacement, and he went above and beyond. He even fixed a persistent rumble that other shops couldnt find the cause of! He was also very conscious of my budget and worked to keep costs down as much as possible. Average Joe Auto Repair is the only shop Ill be taking my car to from now on.

Have been to Joes couple times now, he is very experienced, professional and friendly. He tells you what the problem is and how much will it take to fix it and let you decide if you want to fix it or not. I know he also do repairs for the universitys vehicles for many years so that tells something. An experienced, trustworthy, wont rip you off mechanic in the area.

Joe is knowledgeable, professional, honest, and kind. You can rely on him telling you what is necessary to do for the car, what is a nice-to-have, what can wait and what cannot. I switched to him after bad experiences with other car repair businesses in town, and have been using his services for about 3 years on a regular basis and cant recommend him highly enough. I just sold my car and moving from Champaign and can only hope to find a good mechanic like him where I move. Thanks for everything Joe!
