The guys were friendly and the service was completed as promised. Even though Kwik Kar is a chain, the place had an old school mechanic feel. Not that over corporate atmosphere.

I came in for an inspection and the guy told me I needed to replace my parking brakes and would be $200 to fix. Seeing the poor reviews I should have used my gut I instinct and not went there to begin with, but I was in a rush. I called speedee at frankford and old Denton. I explained what kwik kar told me. I took it there, they tested my brakes and ensured me nothing was wrong whatsoever and the brakes worked fine. I was able to get my inspection and out in 20 minutes.. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Im surprised theyre even still in business. Theyre a scam and just ripping people off!!!

Don’t visit this kwik kar with Groupon coupon. After completing the oil change mechanic charged me additional $16.96 and doesn’t completed the minimum requirements. I paid almost $50.00 (for Groupon coupon including shop payment )for conventional oil change with booster oil (semi Synthetic)If we are going to Toyota service center we will get best deal for oil change also will get the free car wash. Always I am going to Toyota for oil change. But my bad first time I used the Groupon coupon for oil change and shop keeper cheated me.This shop mechanic is verbally insulting when I noticed these things to him. According to the Groupon coupon shop mentioned many things with an oil change. They didn’t completed what I marked in the screenshot and they handover the car within 10 minutes. In the description saying they will do Interior vacuum. When I asked these things mechanic saying vacuum is not working.I am not recommending this shop anybody. I noticed these issue to Groupon

Please I urge you to not visit this location. New owners are trash and don’t care about the quality of the work they do and fail to deliver on time. Left them my car for 3 days and still my car hasn’t been touched. I’m okay with being patient but man they just don’t care about the customers and it’s sad and don’t want anyone to go through that. Plus when they finally did they work they half way did it and wouldn’t refund me because a week later I ended up having the same exact issues.

BUYER BEWAREI wish I would’ve looked at these reviews before I purchased a groupon for this business. First of all, I had to come in on 3 separate occasions before I actually got my oil change. Employees told us they didn’t know how to apply the groupon. Awful customer service but whatever. Finally get the oil change and like other reviewers, I was charged an extra $15 on top of my groupon for “an extra quart of oil.” Approximately 2 minutes after leaving Kwik kar I noticed my car was making a weird noise. I pulled over to find a paper clip type thing stuck into my tire. So there’s another $10 I had to pay to have my tire patched. THEN I noticed my undercarriage protection is completely torn up, shredded and hitting my tires as i drive. They caused major damage to the bottom of my vehicle. I have no clue how much these repairs will cost. Absolutely not worth the deal I thought I was getting. AGAIN BUYER BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE.

Please don’t waste your time. They have no customer service skills I paid almost $50 for a oil change and on the website it stated they cap off fluids. They caught an attitude when I mentioned it and stated they don’t. That location is garbage.

I had an appointment at 9 am, when I showed up they told me that they didnt have me on the schedule (the owner was the one who scheduled me) so they asked me to come back at noon. I showed up 5 minutes early for my appointment then I waited for 2 1/2 hours of them telling me just a few more minutes to get my alignment done. I asked the guy working there once more how long it would be before they could get me on the lift, he was finally honest with me and told me 30 more minutes, which would have had me waiting for THREE HOURS. I finally left and just went to Brakes Plus. If I could give them 0 stars, I absolutely would.

DO NOT GO TO KWIK KAR ON OLD DENTON RD. CARROLLTON IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND CAR!I went to Kwik Kar for a simple oil change and what a nightmare. They were angry when I walked in, they yelled at me and accused me of asking for an inspection not oil change, they bumped me out of line and it ended up taking 3 hours. I should have pulled my car but I didn’t think they would go the extent of tossing my oil cap and letting me drive off without it. This could have ignited a flash fire from the large amount of oil that sprayed all over my engine. They really give mechanics a bad name. I paid Christian Brothers to do a new oil change the next day because I was afraid of whatever else the malicious Kwik Kar employees may have done. What a different experience, they were less expensive and really kind, they even cleaned all the oil off my engine and hood.

They did terrible job on my 4 wheel alignment repair I had to go back and say its still pulling to the right he didnt even look at me he was talking to my friend while the car was mine he drove my car without seatbelts on for just 0.1 miles and he said u are tripping this car is ok and no problem while when he made a u turn it was 3 times pulling that he had to control the car not hitting the curb .I had to take my car to somewhere that give me the summery on what is wrong with the car and after when they fixed it. they ran the test on my car before doing anything the rear wheels where off and I had to pay 70 bucks to fix it. While in Kwik Kar doesnt give you the summery so you wont know if they really fixed it or not.On this Kwik Kar they didnt want me to buy the groupon ad so I couldnt write review there

Buyer Beware! Do you know those auto repair facilities you see on the news that try to sell you unnecessary repairs? This is absolutely one of them. The only reason I went to this location was for a ridiculously cheap price on an alignment. That is obviously their hook to get you in the door.Before they even looked at my car, they were trying to convince me that I needed struts if I needed an alignment. I knew that wasnt the case and that all I needed was an alignment and that only seemed to enrage him that I was calling him on his BS. Quite frankly, if I hadnt prepaid for the Groupon I would have left.Then once they get it on the alignment rack, instead of putting the sensors on the wheels to begin to check the specs, they immediately put it all the way in the air and are looking at everything with flashlights. As someone who knows cars and has had hundreds of alignments, I can tell you this isnt normal. I walked outside and asked what they were doing and the worker tried to tell me that their alignment machine may not be compatible. Once again, I called his BS and they finally put the sensors on and started the actual alignment.When they are done, he asks me if I want to come out to see the specs because his printer is broken. So I go out to look at it and the specs are acceptable but I asked what the before specs were. He says.... and I cant make this up... our machine cant save the before. Except on the screen you can see the button (bottom left of the pic) for SAVE BEFORE ADJUSTMENTS that they didnt even bother to use. There is even a large yellow banner at the top of the screen advising the tech to save the before specs! He asked me if I wanted to take a pic since the printer was broken and I took the opportunity to have a pic for this review because I was flabbergasted he would tell me such a boldfaced lie when I not only know how the alignment machine works, but the screen is so obvious that hes wrong. Once again, the normal thing to do would be to save the before specs, then do the adjustments, then you can show the customer the difference.Finally, Im sitting there waiting for them to pull it off the rack and after 10 minutes he comes in and says that the battery died and that they couldnt get it to crank even with a jump box. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the battery before I got there and I highly doubt that sitting in accessory mode for 10 minutes caused the battery to die so badly that it couldn’t even be jumped. They started it three times while I was here and it started with zero issues. I think they were either trying to start it without it in Park/Neutral or this was another lie. He didnt even ask my permission or let me see that it wasnt starting and had already started to remove the battery before telling me. When he could tell that I wasnt believing this battery issue he offered to give it to me for free because I think he realized he wasnt getting one over on me.Ill probably end up going somewhere else to verify that they got the specs correct because I dont trust that they did it right.

Don’t waste your time. I went there for my car inspection. I was there for 15 mins and there were no other cars there. 2 of them were on the phone. They didn’t show any interest in getting the work done, so I left. They all should be fired.

Went in for an alignment on my vehicle and I am impressed by the whole staff here and their care for their customers. The manager, Bernabe, went above and beyond by letting me come back to verify my alignment was still good after I switched out the bad tire I had. The staff was genuine, professional and timely in getting my car in and out. On top of that, it was the best value on alignment by far when comparing to other shops. I would recommend to my friends and fam....anyone really.

Dj gave me excellent service. I had a bunch of questions and he answered them professionally, and demonstrated extreme patience with me.

Stay away from this shop! Told my 19 yr old that she needed a $1500 repair (that of course they could do there) that wasn’t true. Got 2 second opinions that proved they were just trying to get $ out of a kid. Pathetic!!!

I’m not sure who I caught on shift at this place as I’m looking around seeing all decent reviews. The mechanic was on his phone as I walked in. He refused to greet or speak to me until I said I needed an oil change. At this point he threw his phone and cursed at me. I said then that I was leaving, at which point he followed me out through the door and tried to convince me to leave my car with him, still complaining about being tired. I eventually had to tell him I was leaving, to which he replied “do whatever you want”. Terrible employee, terrible service. I will never come here again.

Inspection equipment not working, something about no Bluetooth. so must go somewhere else, inconvenient.Alignment good, but no before picture to compare.Place is on a steep hill, so be careful how you park your car. Park sideways to the garage with emergency break on is my recommendation.They open at 8am, but dont answer the phone until 10 am, then deny it.

I went here for an oil change and used the Groupon for a conventional oil change. I was the only customer there and it took about 40 minutes, when their sign boasts 10 minute oil changes. They also had a no mask, no service sign on the front door, which the employees were not following at all. Even when I went in to pay, they did not have one on. I waited outside the shop except I had to go in to pay at the end. I still ended up having to pay about $20 in addition to the Groupon for extra oil and a custom oil filter, which they didnt mention to me until after they did it... I was under the impression it was all covered and I feel like that should have been disclosed since they knew I was going to pay via Groupon. They also didnt do everything that was listed on the invoice, like clean windows and vacuum. They need to edit it so those items are not included.

Used a Groupon for an oil change here. First time at this location. The young man who helped us was friendly, courteous and professional. We had our dog with us and he took time to say hello to him and ask about him at the end while he processed our payment- A Definite Plus for me! All Covid protical was observed. Service was fast and thorough. Will definitely be back in 3,000 miles!

My daughter went there today for an oil/filter change and state inspection. Afterwards she came to my house and asked me to check her brake fluid because this shop said it would cost her if they added brake fluid. I added about an ounce of brake fluid but it was within the fill range. While I had the hood up I noticed the oil filter had not been changed, it was the old one with road grime on it. So I checked the oil and it was brown in the dipstick. I called the shop and told the guy they charged my daughter for an oil change they did not perform. Hevseemed unconcerned but said they always change it properly and I was welcome to bring the car back and watch them change it, which I did. When he reached for the oil fill hose I said no, I don’t trust what’s in your hose so please use Mobil 1 out of the new plastic containers, which he did. He was too cool to apologize but instead said it was the fault of a new employee which he said he would fire. He did refund the $78 price of the oil change but I won’t be back and do not recommend.

Went to get an Alignment the guy said I have a truck not going to be done till 12 noon. There were wasnt any other vehicles waiting on alignments.We were there at 08:30am. He had the most rudest attitude. Not professional at all. Its so said Groupon has specials but the people who run these locations choose who they want..This was totally unexceptionable attitude on this man!!

I pulled up to a bay the employee told me to pull in, as I did so I asked him how much for a synthetic oil change his reply was $59.00 and then I asked about a tire rotation and he said $25. I did the quick math and okd it. Having owned or operated Auto repair shops for 29 years, I am very familiar with the process. Then came time for check out, they forgot to tell me there were additional fees for an oil filter, disposal fee for oil and to top it off I presented their online coupon for a discount and would not honor it, they said it had to be a printed hard copy. The oil change and rotation ended up costing $113.36. I will not return to this place.

I went to get my oil changed. Took 20 minutes. Two weeks later my oil change light came back on and so pop the hood and check my oil. ITS BLACK. I feel like they never really changed my oil. Not to mention, the never reset the oil light when they changed it. I had to. And now it’s on again and I’ve driven less than 1000 miles. No one answers the phone there and it’s hard to get in contact. DO NOT GO HERE.

Long Story Short Im A Little Skeptical To Visit Again.

I dropped my car off for a diagnostic for a light on my dash and removal of my old gas cap. The man I spoke with stated it would be an hour and would call when completed. After an hour I called, they asked for another hour. After an hour (not receiving a call) I was told they needed a new instrument that is needed for diagnostic. We are at 2 hours with no work done and no call. They needed another 45 minutes, I arrived and they stated they just figured out what needed to be done. They needed to order a part, and needed another hour. I asked if they removed my gas cover like I asked earlier at least and the guy speaking with me had no idea what I was talking about and made me walk out to my car with him. He said he needed 30 minutes to do that. I had my car there for 3 hours and no call.I returned the next day when they had the part and dropped off my car. The lady I spoke with stated it would take about an hour so give us 2. She stated she would call me when it was complete. 2 hours pass and I asked about the status of my vehicle and she states over the phone uhhh yeah its done you can come get itI was very dissatisfied with the customer service, communication between staff, and not a single phone call when adding time or when it was completed the following day.Apparently Tony, the previous owner was wonderful. I would not recommend this location.

This location is very clean, friendly & welcoming with new customers. The price is BY FAR the best around, half the price of my local car dealership.I will definitely return back, the manager Tony helped me with everything and explained I had questions about.I was also super comfortable because they have 2 knowledgeable girls working which I have never seen in my life. They both have a lot of knowledge about vehicles and they even work on the cars themselves.

These guys are absolutely awesome. My thermostat in my Buick Encore went out so I had no heat in my vehicle while idling. The crew stayed over an hour late to make sure that I would have heat in my car before the even colder weather later this week. Without one single complaint. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else.

Hate leaving negative reviews but I hate seeing people get ripped off. I went here recently for a state inspection and they tried to tell me I needed brake pads and emergency brake adjustment. I didn’t have time to wait so I left and decided to get a second opinion. The next place told me everything looked like new and saved me over $200. Don’t go here if you don’t want to get up sold repairs you don’t need.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AND WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY: I have had the worst experience with a simple synthetic oil change service by this Kwik Kar. After getting my oil changed here, I went back home and left out of town for a month. By the time I came back there was oil leak all over my garage floor. I took my car to another service shop and they said the washer of the oil plug wasnt replaced when the oil change was done and suggested that I take the car to the shop that did my oil change and demand that they fix this issue because they did a shoddy job of oil change for which I had already paid. I brought the car back to them and asked if they changed the washer of the oil plug when they did the oil change, they said its not part of the oil change service (Ive checked around and changing the washer is standard process as part of the oil change service), they checked the car, said they forgot to clean the plate under the oil plug and there was oil there that might have dripped and assured that it shouldnt happen again. I took the car back home again, had it parked in the garage again for a few weeks without using it because of COVID and the same thing happened again - engine oil all over my garage floor - and this time there was a oil leak sign on the dash of my car. I brought the car back to them AGAIN, they checked it for over an HOUR and this time around they said they changed the washer of the oil plug. Wonder why they couldnt do this the first time around! If they had, my garage wouldnt be a mess with all the leaked engine oil! When asked why they missed this the first two times, they were super UNPROFESSIONAL in the way they responded. Even if they owned up to their mistake, I wouldn’t have written this review.

Go in and ask for Amy! If shes not there, ask when she will be back. Basically, Amy is the best. Shes kind and friendly.. knows what shes doing.. and I will never take my car to anyone else but her. This was my first oil change with my brand new Jeep Renegade, and I have been looking for a dependable place to take my car for its servicing. I drive by this Kwik Kar everyday going to work so I gave them a shot. These guys were great, knew what they were doing, and I will definitely keep using them for my car servicing! Also, I had my babies in the car with me asleep when we pulled up and they let us all stay in the car while they did their job! A HUGE blessing when you have your hands full! I definitely recommend these guys! Got me in and out in less than 20 minutes!

Been coming here for 15 years. Always been good. Have 3 vehicles. Since the new manager took over I have done 3 oil changes, 3 inspections. Have noticed a MARKED increase in quality of service, also have noticed a big increase in the personality and overall pleasant nature of the guys and gals working there. More friendly, more personable, make eye contact, speak clearly, smile. Just a more pleasant experience.

I’ve had great luck getting our old car and new car state inspections and oil changes here. They are super fast, no (significant) up sell and never have they come back to me and said, “oh, you need this, this and so forth” like so many places do. That being said, they did find an issue with a tire during their inspection that really could have gone badly if they hadn’t found it for me. I do recommend going during the week and calling. Overall, these guys have been great. (General warning: my experiences over the past two years have been great (even last month), but you never know if they change management or staff - your mileage may vary 😁).

Just needed a quick oil change, nothing much, and they went above and beyond my expectations. I drive in and speak with an employee named Ashley, who greeted me and asked what she could help me with. I told her I was due for an oil change and she went out of her way to make sure I had my vehicle intact since I am not too great with cars. She had mentioned some things that I might want to check out in the future that arent in need of immediate attention, as well as some basic things to keep my 2015 Dodge Dart in good shape.The lobby itself was clean, the staff was very inviting and made me feel like a valued customer, and I dont think ill be going anywhere else for car service. It was so great that I had to talk to the manager, Tony, just to tell him that I appreciated everything the store did for me today. They have a customer for life in me now.

This place is always great! But today they went above and beyond. Two days ago my wedding ring slipped out of my hand and went under the passenger seat. Somehow it found a small opening in the floors carpeting. Yesterday I removed my passenger seat to no avail. Looked and looked no ring.So today just out of complete desperation, I told Don and his coworker (wish I could remember his name) the story, as I got out of vehicle for an oil change. As they were down in the pit, they kept knocking underneath the passenger seat. Don came over and said, I hear something rattling around in there. So they pulled off a small access plate on the bottom of the car, and we removed the passenger seat again. Jackpot! This time I could see the ring wedged between the frame and floor heat vent.Thank you guys so much! These two completely made mine and my husbands day! Forever grateful!

I took my car in for an oil change and everyone was professional and very nice! Later on that month, I had a MASSIVE issue with my car. Had to pull over and watch all of my oil pour out of my car. Regardless of what caused it, Joseph was responsive and helpful. He sent a tow truck to bring my car to the shop, stayed an hour after they were closed to check the damage and then fixed everything for free. I have no idea what I would have done without his kindness, professionalism and understanding!

My friends and family all told me to give this place a try , and boy was I surprised ! The staff was very polite and friendly they seemed like they enjoyed their workplace as all were smiling. Definitely would recommend and visit again if needed.

Called and they said as long as you get there at least 15 min before close an oil change can be completed. Showed up 25 min before close and no love...

My dealings with the Manager have been nothing less than fantastic. I was in a pinch and he went above and beyond to take care of not only me but to ensure that I had accurate quality diagnosis about my car. I cannot thank him enough! Will certainly go back again.

Customer service was great Amy and Ashley were amazing treated me as if I was family they were extremely knowledgeable and they definitely know there stuff . Very helpful crew that they have at this location I was very impressed I’ll definitely be sending my family there .

Great experience here. Theres a place conveniently located across the street from my home that I was going to take my vehicle to for a state inspection. I was told it would take at least 45 minutes. No thanks! So I started looking around and found Kwik Kar. Let me tell ya, they lived up to the name. I pulled up and told them I needed a state inspection. They looked at my insurance and got to work. Less than 10 minutes later, they brought my car around front and I was good to go. Will definitely be back when its time for an oil change.

I took my 10 F150 in for an oil change today. Ive had state inspections done at this location in the past, but no services like this, so I was unsure what to expect. Im a car guy and worked for years at Kwik Kar in high school, so I know the difference between a technician that doesnt know or care about what theyre doing and an actual professional. Theres a lot to be said about having people that WANT to be doing the job they are doing. Many people who work in basic auto service these days are not happy about where they are and it shows. They dont know much, they dont learn about new year models, products, techniques, etc., and most of all, they dont treat the customer well. This Kwik Kar had the most positive atmosphere I have seen in a shop in some time. The guys had an observable chemistry and the tone was light but professional. Safety callouts and checks were done properly. (If you dont hear the guy yelling from the pit the whole time your car is being worked on, dont go back to that shop.) The manager is trying hard to improve the reputation of the shop, and, along with advising me on the best products for what I wanted to spend, reminding me of service intervals, and other basic communication, he also engaged me in friendly conversation when he had the time, which I appreciated. He noticed that I knew about cars and adapted his approach accordingly, allowing me to have a look under the truck at a transmission leak Id noticed some months ago. The additional services he recommended were valid, appropriate, and well presented. He did not try to sell me anything I didnt need. The prices for various fluid changes, flushes, etc. are fair and consistent with the going rates at such shops. They have a full-time, certified mechanic on duty as well.This is a safe place to take your car for regular maintenance and more advanced repairs.

Oil change is very over priced.For my Tundra Ive never payed more than 80And today I paid 110 here.Not to mention they recommend replacing other stuffs on the top. The guy make it sound serious and hard to understand for non-professional people.I couldnt believe it for myself.

Stopped in to get an inspection so I could get my registration renewal at the office in Carrollton. Only stayed there for 10 minutes and we were out. Quick same day service because there was no line. The gentlemen that work there are respectful. The environment is clean and quiet.

I ran an automotive shop for 5 years....this location recommended an oil change on a vehicle that had that service around a 1000 miles ago. I called to discuss and they were not able to refund.I was told it was a recommendation at the end of the day. And the master technician recommended it. The location did check records after the phone conversation and made a return call to state that the oil chanchawas performed at another Kwik Kar location and was still good for 3,000 miles. They offered a free oil change...which is laughable. Be aware of suggestions and know your vehicle. Places like this are out for profit, not looking out fo you and your vehicle.None of our vehicles will be coming back to this location and corporate will become involved. If you use Kwik Kar choose any other location.

I have an old Camry so it’s always giving me problems from it dying on me to oil leaks EVERYWHERE but tony, the master mechanic there, fixed all my problems for a great price. He beat the prices of all the other shops near by. I will be coming back for more work and regular maintenance on my car soon.

DO NOT come here for maintenance. They have given me wrong filters multiple times, they put the wrong size bolt into my oil pan and stripped the threading, theyve also attempted to shortchange me on checkout. They seem like nice dudes but apparently they have no idea what they are doing or they are doing a great job ripping people off.

Kwik Kar is tucked in a corner of the intersection where you would hardly notice, but be sure to seek them out. They took time to deal with a glitch that made it difficult to get my car inspected. Kudos and thanks.

Instead of filling with windshield fluid, he filled it with just water. The place in general seems a bit off.

The Kwik Kar Lube & Tune in Carrollton was beyond helpful. They provided excellent service in a timely manner. I stopped in to get my car inspected and they were speedy to fix any problems then sent me on my way.

Rude mechanics working there I won’t go there again

I called up there to make sure they did Motorcycle inspections and make sure i had time to get it done before getting off work. The guy on the phone said no problem as long as i made it before 5. i ended up getting stuck in traffic and still managed to barely make 4:55.. only to get looked at like who is this guy showing up 5 minutes before closing. So after several more blank looks my direction, the two coworkers decided to go into the office and deliberate on the best way to get out of doing a 5-10 minute inspection. Needless to say their excuse was the inspectors wife was already there to pick him up and couldnt wait a couple minutes apparently. What i dont understand is why an oil change / State inspection place, being very similar in price to competitors, doesnt care a little more about customer service? Probably not the best business model unless your trying to go out of business. Well the good news is i didnt get a ticket on the way home for an expired inspection. The next day i got it done at Personal Touch in Corinth where they actually helped fix my brake light so it would pass inspection. I wouldnt waste your time with Kwik Kar b/c their time is more important then yours!

They dont allow people to drop their car off for state inspections. Instead you have to wait 45 min in your car in line for a 10 min inspection.

Brought my car in a for an oil change and the guy at the counter had plenty of information regarding full synthetic oils. Im a car and motorcycle enthusiast myself so I was pleasantly surprised he knew what he was talking about.They even set a reminder on my cars computer at my requested 4,000 mile interval.Also swung by for a motorcycle inspection and the process was quick and too easy

Horrible experience. I needed my car inspected. I pulled into the garage under the giant sign that read “inspection” vs the lanes that had other labels such as oil change etc. This seemed like the correct thing to do because I thought they were labeled so largely for the public. It was not 2 seconds after I rolled down my window to confirm with the man working that it was correct that he began yelling at me and telling me I need to notice the TINY stop sign and that this was a huge liability. I told him I would back up and he continued yelling at me. Fine, I made a mistake. I can accept that, no problem. But for him to literally YELL at me and then continue yelling at me after I have already acknowledged, apologized and began to correct my mistake? That is HORRIBLE customer service. I told him I would go elsewhere and he replied “yeah!” implying that’s exactly what he wanted me to do. I am a young woman who has never personally gone to have this service done, and therefore already intimidated by auto service shops... and I nearly left in tears. I will never return. Watch out for the guy with the foreign accent because he has a temper.

My experience was GREAT! Since the new manager KT has taken over this place is a lot cleaner!! I was greeted by the manager and he explained what I needed in detail, for someone who doesnt know much about cars this means a lot !! I recommend this location to everyone!!

They say hey match most other shops cupons. Turns out the dont ever take their own cupons if you dont print them at home first.They say my oil change would be 34.00 WHICH IS PRICEY. it turned out to be 56.00 because they claimed my kia sorento took more than 5 qts. NEVER AGAIN!
