If Woodmans doesnt have it, no one does! During the peak of covid I found things that were out of stock everywhere else. Including tissue and water. This place is massive but you can basically find anything you need at reasonable prices. They are also open 24hrs. I dont buy meat from them because its a bit on the expensive side. Go with a shopping list and try to stick to it. If youre not careful, you will look up and youve been there for a couple of hours. Ive done it a million times. LOL. I always fill up at their gas station because its always cheaper. They dont accept credit card payments. Its cash or debit. Even at the pumps.

Great selection. Great prices. Once you figure out where everything is its a fine store. Finding a human being to help you if you cant locate an item is a challenge. Unlike many other retail establishments, the employees at the checkout will occasionally say thank you.

Found my beloved chock full of nuts coffee here!! Great selections store wide. Ill be honest, my husband I stopped here while on a road trip to use the bathroom (which was super clean) and ended up walking the whole store!! Ended up buying several great hard to find products while here

A friend asked me to take her to the store, I had no idea what Woodman’s was. Omg! This is my store now! I love the selection, the prices, the people that work there, friendly, and helpful employees, not like any store I have ever been to.

I was there at 6:30am. Thankful you are open that early. I drop my husband off at dialysis and can shop without waiting for a store to open. I can shop for what I need, get home to put things away, and still have time before I pick him up. I had a very pleasant cashier today. Employee in produce said Good morning. Another in the aisle asked is I needed anything. Very nice experience. One never knows when another needs a kind word.

Was very satisfied customer of this store till today. I was having power outage today and looks like it will take till the end of the week. So decided to return few bags of carrots and celery. Thought they will understand my situation with no power at home and this products might be lost in few more days without fridge. So they said exactly it is not our problem that you have power outage, and we will not return any perishable items. As a regular customer was very disappointed with service.

Woodmans is my favorite grocery store. The selection is phenomenal, the store is always clean and the prices are the best around! The amount of organic, vegetarian, sugar free, gluten free, etc. options cant be beat anywhere!

I have really come to appreciate Woodmans, not only for the endless choices within the store, but also for their substantially lower prices and their efficiencies. Of course, I do love other higher end grocery stores, going to Woodmans is not necessarily; an oh wow experience, but it provides more than generously for all that is needed.

I have been shopping at Woodmans for over 10 years. Its really my go-to one stop store. The produce section is good, there are some better, but I always find all that I need. The rest of the store is amazing for the variety and constant stocking of all essentials. It does take a while to navigate through the store. If you are doing a heavy grocery shop, plan on an hour.In a word, the store is huge. You have to visit it a couple times to get your navigation down. I now have it down to a science and I know other shoppers have their own schemes because I can compare carts as we move through the store.For variety, low prices, some really excellent selections you cannot find elsewhere, Woodmans is the place to shop. Heck, you could spend an hour just choosing which Bratwurst to buy.Their website is OK. Needs some work on more precise location information, but is helpful especially for people who are new to Woodmans. [2nd Edit] Check their deals on the website for electronic coupons, they can save you a lot and are easy to use.[Edit] Oh yes, the employees are fantastic. Always helpful, nice and very professional.

Always busy, but thats because it has a pretty decent selection, and the prices arent outrageous.The alcohol selection is typically on point, but we have noticed recently the shelves being a bit under stocked with some of the items we needed.Either way. Good shop. Id recommend getting rid of the brick floor though (its annoying)

Just wow! I never realized Woodmans was such a hidden gem!They have the best deals Ive seen at a place where you shop at like its a local grocery store, but has stock like a costco!It is so well organized and clean! And they have so many product variations and offer most of the available flavors of many of them, whereas some grocery stores its hard to find such a variety!

My wife and I were getting some beer on Sunday, while in line to pay there was a -younger than us-cucasian couple in front of us and when it was their turn to pay only the guy was asked to show ID. When it was our turn, the robust white lady ask for Id to both of us. I guess we are to brown to buy beer there. So we pushed back and until we asked her why didnt she ask for an Id to the couple in front of us she then asked for my Id only. I guess some mofos people just do not get it, you mess with us well mess with you back

I love woodmans they have a great selection of items. If you are looking for an unusual ingredient try them you probably will find it. Everything from snacks to soda, meat, dairy frozen. The prices are lower than most other grocery stores too so I can get more bang for my buck. Try woodmans out I know you wont be disappointed

I am mildly fascinated by Woodman’s. Massive selection with some really large sizes. It can be overwhelming; it’s a bit confusing and I have never just made a once over in the store.

Much to my surprise, I pulled up to read the sign. The liquor store closes at 8:45. It just happened to be 10 minutes till 9. I screamed out loud, Woodmans thats the last time!Man I do love Woodmans, and I used to work at this location, uh.... like 10 years ago... so I thought it would be neat to stop by while I was in the area. I love the grand selection of food items that woodmans carries. Sometimes theyre the only ones that carry the hard to find items Im looking for.

Best selection of pretty much everything, great prices too. If youre looking for random vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or other health foods, Woodmans is great!Not my favorite place for produce but its still my go-to for basically everything else.

This store is a mixed bag. Walking into this store is like taking a trip back to the late 70s/80s. Large store but everything is set up so weird. Not convenient to find what you need AT ALL. Lots of items are dumped onto tables or in baskets and does not look very appealing. Very hard to shop.They do have a HUGE Alcohol warehouse inside this store that rivals Binnys in the selection they carry. Great craft brew selection for those like me that are Always looking for the latest and greatest. The issue here is that you HAVE TO purchase these items inside this separate room, even though its inside the store, so if you have to shop for both, prepared to be inconvenienced.

I have been a customer or shopper with Goodman for over 20 years now! They R a great grocery store in the western suburbs have lots of quality products brands, for reasonable price, to purchase. Very friendly and warm store to shop at with your family, very well organized very clean very detailed and also very well stocked with all worldwide items!! They are one of the best grocery stores around in the Chicago metropolitan area!! I do recommend the store to anyone that love good quality food and products. The store is people-oriented and family-friendly!!

Woodmans has the best prices of any store in the area, aside from Meat where the prices are average. Sometimes you have to verify the expire date in packaged goods and generally the produce is a step down from Jewel or Costco. Thus the 1 star deduction. Nonetheless Woodmans is our go to for daily shopping.

Woodmans and Costco are basically the only supermarkets I frequent. Excellent variety (including some local foods) but I wouldnt recommend the sushi or deli here.

My husband and I have been here several times. CHARLOTTE got to go in Woodmans for the first time. She was impressed with Woodmans.

I love Woodmans, but this locations cheese selection was a little lacking. Better than the location in Beloit, but Janesvilles and Madisons two locations have it beat. Everything else seemed good, but I was specifically looking for cheese.

Always clean with great prices. Ive been to all of the Northern Illinois Woodmans, including the one in Beloit) with the same experience. However, the 3 star rating results from the websites false advertising in regards to their liquor departments, for all stores. Many times a specific whiskey is listed but not available and hasnt been for some time. Very frustrating as Im constantly on the hunt on behalf of a local whiskey tasting group. Lakemoor currently has Blantons,eagle Rare, and Colonel EH Taylor listed on their site but not available in the store. Please update the websites listings for available items. Thank you.

Woodmans has a vast array of different foods and goods. From gluten and dairy free options to their large produce section. There are choices for just about any diet. The prices are a little above Aldi, but comparable to a Walmart price. They have a large liquor store which is separate and their self checkout lanes give ease of access to all types of grocery shoppers.Their gas prices are also by far the cheapest around.The only downfall here is that they only except debit cards no credit (except for discover, I think)

Great grocery store with lots to choose from. Also has a nice size liquor department so you can fill your fridge with all sorts of beverage. Last visit they were service samples of Jim Beam peach. It was delicious... Stop in for a visit sometime, the selection here is awesome.

While I was in town, Woodmans was my go to for groceries, gas & adult beverages! Their gas was the most reasonable on the Randall Rd strip & they have a liquor store inside. Let them be your one stop shop!

Woodmans is the only grocery store in a 50 mile radius from Somonauk that had black cherry jello and dark sweet canned cherries for my jello mold.

It was rather dirty inside and the staff was rude to me; they wouldn’t let my friend purchase liquor because I left my ID in the car and they needed to see mine to continue with the transaction… first off we’re both in our late twenties, and while I’m flattered the staff thought I looked young enough to be underage I was just annoyed that they wouldn’t let him proceed with the transaction. -3/10 this place f**king sucks.

Best food store ever great prices and lots of choices

I was followed out of the store and was told that I did not pay for my items in the self checkout. Never going to that Woodmans ever again. Of all the people that may have had issues athe self checkout I didnt have one. The kid they sent after me look at the receipt so long I dont think he believed it was legit until he saw the date and time. He didnt even apologize just said I dont know what happened.

The pick up service option wasnt so bad. It was actually quick. You call and they bring your groceries out and load them in your car. It was a nice option during the pandemic.

If they dont have it nobody will im sure

I learned today that Woodmans is secretly raising their prices on the meat they sell. They show you on the website the meat is 6.44 per lb, but in store it’s labeled 5.69 per lb. they justify the price increase online because they are individuals bagging your groceries but they don’t tell you they are doing this and they tell you there is no convenience fee for orders of $100 or more. This is dishonest and false practices and they expect to get away with it because a majority of their customers won’t check. Well they just lost a customer.

I like the store and the prices but honestly that brick floor makes me so anxious I cant shop there ) : Please consider updating the flooring even if a bit at a time. Thank you.

I reluctantly write this review only because of the great sadness I feel from the Woodman’s Carpentersville management team making me feel my loyalty to this store has no value and as a customer I mean nothing to them. Let me start out by saying I moved into this area in 2004 just before Woodman’s had there grand opening at the Carpentersville store and since have made it my go to store for all my groceries, liquor and gasoline. Using my accounting software, I generated a report to total all transactions I made since there opening and was shocked at the total. Since April 2004 till my last visit last week before the incident, I spent a total of $92,640.25 on their products and services. I do believe I have great loyalty and value to this store. The incident 02-13-2021- last week I went to have a pair of reader glasses exchanged that had a manufacture defect in the frame, thinking they wood just let me grab another pair. Well, the customer service clerk basically said if I can’t produce a receipt there’s nothing he can do and then got me the assistant manager Brian Esposito. Brian was very cold and showed no interest in my dilemma, basically said if you don’t have a receipt, I can’t help you. I then informed Brian of the loyalty I give this store, but he really didn’t care and told me if I’m not happy to call corporate and tell them and gave me his card. I called corporate and spoke with Megan in customer care, She said she would contact Brian and see if she can correct the problem. Megan called back and said Brian is sticking to his guns and will not help me. Megan also reached out to the store manager Troy with the same results. This is no longer about the glasses its about how they treated me as a loyal customer. As it stands I feel like a fool for giving such loyalty to a store that don’t give a hoot about customer loyalty and as of last week its goodbye and so long Woodman’s.

Cleaner and brighter than I am used to for a Woodmans, but still the Peter Lorre sounding voice on the overhead with their covid protocol and their messed up self checkout system that is more concerned about anti theft than customer convenience. Still pretty well stocked with product. Parking lot here is a challenge so drive and walk defensively.

Would get 5 stars but their stubbornness about keeping it traditional with the tile flooring kills me. I can tolerate the debit/discover card thing to keeps costs down. But to build a new store and still do the janky floor is egotistical and impractical.
