Weve had the pleasure of Using Armbrust for the vast majority of our plumbing and heating needs for the last 7 years. They are always professional, kind, responsive, and problem solvers. I know without a doubt that when they come to the home, the problem will be corrected. My only reason for bringing them down one star from a five star review, is comparatively, they are more expensive than many of their competitors. I understand paying a premium for premium service, but their pricing is borderline high enough for me to consider one of their competitors next time.Again, Im thankful that their service is that reliable and dependable, but their cost are high.

Our sump pump failed and water covered half of the wooden floor in our basement family room. Bruce was here at 8 am the day after I called. He was always friendly and gracious. He had a good quality sump pump in his truck and stayed several hours in install it. We had questions on some other plumbing issues and he was quick to give us advice.

Continue to use Armbrust as they are reliable and professional. Ive had them tackle projects big and small and have been happy with the outcome of each - from a new water heater and sump backup to rebuilding a toilet and rodding a line. I think their pricing is reasonable and the people they have sent out are great. Their back office seems to have it together as well, scheduling is easy and they are always quick to find past estimates that Ive decided to wait on when the time comes.

Ben, did an excellent job on what turned out to be a more troublesome task than expected. Here is a homeowner tip: Never throw metamucil powder from a large container into the garbage disposal as we did.It bulked up into a gelatinous material filling the drain pipe past the P-Trap and filled the waste pipe in the basement for another 20 feet. Routing it alone did not work. So Ben found a way to run water while routing so that the blockage could wash away as the routing progressed. Worked like a champ. Ben did a great job. Also did a very thorough job of clean up at the end,always an indicator of a Pro. Very pleased with the result.

Ive called Armbrust Plumbing before for different issues, as I have been continually pleased with the service. My upstairs bath tub faucet had a constant leak and it was dripping hot water. Creating humidity and making my kids uncomfortable with the heat. Adam Claus came in to do the repairs. I found him personable and straight forward with his knowledge. He gave me a fair estimate and once that was agreed upon, he went right to work. He was very up front about this project being a two step process. He was able to remove the drippy faucet and capped it. Now the humidity was no longer a factor. I have requested him to come back to finish the job this week. As always, I was pleased with my Armbrust Plumbing experience. Plumbing issues are never fun but Armbrust and Adam Claus made it a lot easier to handle.

I called because of a gas smell. Steve worked very hard at trying to locate it but was not able to detect any gas. He made appropriate suggestions for us to try, i.e. dry p-traps in an unused bathroom, or potentially a smoke test. I appreciate all of his effort and suggestions.

I called Armbrust yesterday because our sump pump was beeping and we suspected either battery failure or full pump failure. Not only were they able to come out the same day, just a few hours later, but they were able to do the repairs that afternoon, too. The service worker was polite, professional, explained all my options to me, and even offered lower cost options that he said were available, although not recommended. I chose to go with his recommendations that although cost a bit more, would be better overall quality and have a longer warrenty. But I appreciated that he presented me with ALL my options up front! If youre looking for transparency, honesty, and high quality work, definitely call Armbrust. Weve used them twice now for our sump pump repairs, and will do so again if/when we need them.

We are a condominium association. We hired Armbrust in lieu of our usual plumbing contractor (who was unavailable) to rod a floor drain from which water was backing up inside an apartment. They seemed to do a good job until the drain backed up again a few days later and they had to return for a 2nd visit. Turns out theres some sewer main pipe down the line that needs to be replaced. Not their fault. But we found it astonishing that for 2 visits in the space of a few days (3/30/21 and 4/2/21) we were billed a total of $1,045.38. The billing on the 1st visit (which didnt fix the problem) was especially troubling: somehow, a 45-minute service call morphed into 2 hours and 15 minutes of labor expense (after they tacked on 90+ minutes of travel time). Thats unreasonable. This company is 15 minutes away; it never occurred to us that they would assign a tech who had to travel 90+ minutes just to reach our location. Weve worked with many vendors over the years but have never had this kind of experience when it comes to billing for a vendors travel time. Chalk that up to a big misunderstanding but, due to their billing practices, we cannot recommend Armbrust ... which is too bad. They lost an opportunity to get a new client for future projects.

The water at my building had to be turned off/on by Armbrust plumbing, since the association has an agreement with the company for this service. I was told that this service would cost 89$ and that my personal plumber can repair the leak since it was confined to my apartment. However, when we informed the Armbrust plumber that our personal plumber, who was also present at the time, will repair the leaky valve under the sink, he said he needed to contact his boss. The boss then said that in case we decide to go with our plumber (who was going to charge us less for the repair), then the Armbrust plumber will leave after shutting down the water and might not come back until the next day. In order to prevent a delay in water being turned back on for other residents who reside in our building, many of whom are senior citizens, we had no other option but to accept Armbrust to repair the leak. When told that this was not fair, the boss even said Tell that to your HOA. We were charged 89$ just for water to be turned off plus 286$ to repair the leaky valve and to turn the water back on. As we were told by our plumber, it did not take more than 5 minutes to fix the actual source of leak. However, having been bribed to go with Armbrust plumber in order to prevent prolonged water shut off for other residents, those 5 minutes cost us 97$ extra. The more painful fact is that all the money went to unethical people who hold a monopoly in our building, and not to an individual who has always been there when we needed him.

Had a problem with an outside faucet. When i turned the water supply on in the basement, no water came out of the outside faucet. Tom had the problem diagnosed and repaired in thirty minutes. Tom came to fix our garbage disposal, he arrived right on time and I was even amazed they were able to fit us in even though I had just called earlier that morning. He was very friendly and immediately got to work and found that it was a paperclip preventing the disposal from running. He was in and out in a few minutes and I was charged the minimum amount for his labor when I could have easily been given the whole spiel about how I need a brand new $300 unit and everything could have dragged on for a long time. So we will definitely be using Armbrust again!

Louis Prignano arrived at our home this Wednesday morning on time to repair our boiler which was not heating. Within 30 minutes the boiler was working perfectly. A radiator was repaired as well. Very pleased with Louiss service and demeanor, and will call on Armbrust in the future.

When I had a backup in the line at my office Tom from Armbrust was out within a couple hours, even on the coldest day weve had in a long time. He was thoughtful in how he arranged his equipment to keep my office clean and worked quickly to get the line cleared out. Super grateful for the quick response time and solid clean up job!
