Kaylee was amazing, she recommended me to get an SNS when I wanted to remove my Gel only, and get a regular nail color. It was the best thing to do, my nails look cute, natural and my manicure will last long now. Thank you Kaylee.

My favorite go to place to get my nails done now! I have been searching for a great nail shop with an amazing nail technician. I always go to Elly, she takes her time and is gentle. She tried her best to give you exactly what you come in there wanting. I had a bad experience with a previous nail shop who filled my real nail down to much and left it exposed. Elly was really gentle and worked around the exposure, still made my nail look as though nothing happened. I love her work and my nails last longer than two weeks. They are a little pricey but well worth the money when Elly does it.

BUYER BEWARE!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON!! They’re unprofessional and very money hungry. No loyalty to customers, and expects you to know their prices and policy.( MANGER TOLD ME THIS)I have been going to this salon since the second day they opened. It’s been some ups and downs but never experienced what I did with a good friend. I took my friend for the first time to City Nails Buford. Had a wonderful time with the nail technicians. We both got SNS nails and gel pedicures. Everything was perfect until checkout. The manager (very rude male) gives her the total of 130!!!! Yes 130. She asked please explain why so high. He immediately had the worst attitude known to man. He tells her they charge for the length of the add on nail. She says but the add on nail is my same length of my natural nail (and that’s something the nail tech never mentioned to her at all) he immediately belittles her and says since price is a problem we will cut your nails down and you can leave. (Her nails are done and we already spent 2.5 hours there) She explains price is not the problem it’s the principle and this is a new shop for her and she not familiar with policy here. After he yells at her to pay for he will call the police for trespassing (again we had been there 2.5 hours) she begins to tear up and walk out. I talk to my tech in complete embarrassment asking why is she being treated this way. A PAYING CUSTOMER!! Then he yells at me and says she’s not listening and trespassing on his property. All of this with about 10 other ladies in the salon trying to relax.

Kevin is the absolute BEST! I have only come in one other time for a pedicure (don’t remember my technician’s name) & it wasn’t bad but I was nowhere near as impressed as today.I came in this afternoon with exactly an hour. They were busy. It’s Christmas week. I asked if they would have time, & Kevin said no problem! I don’t think he knew what he was getting into!😂 Half my nails were broken/tips/etc. And I asked for ombré sparkles. And he did an AMAZING job AND I was out in 45 minutes! I may never let anyone else touch my nails again.Not to mention, the atmosphere was so light and wonderful. You could tell the technicians all get along, and one of them even jumped in to apply the top coat on one of my hands while Kevin was buffing out the other.10/10 - ask for Kevin!! A very clean place, although the person doing my nails did no nail prep or anything. So after 2 days my nails look grown out. Seemed like he really didn’t care about doing a good job

I went to the salon for the first time. The place is beautiful and super clean, Le did my pedicure and she did an exceptional job, on the other hand an older lady did my manicure and she did a terrible job, you could tell she was in a rush, didn’t take all my cuticles out and the nail polish looked like if my 10 year old did it, I was pretty disappointed. At the time of check out I told the manager that I wasn’t happy with the service that lady provided and he had Le redo my manicure again, she spent about 35 more minutes and my nails looked amazing!!!! I highly recommended the place and Le. I’ll be coming back and requesting her in near future.

The guy who works at front desk is very rude and disrespectful. He has no customer service skill at all. He charged my card $20 tips and I told him to refund and he so defensive. No apology but just rudeness trying to make it my fault. He is very selective who he treats nicely. He is very rude and look down towards black people. He even told me I am not allowed for service anymore for no reason given. I am gonna make sure he refund my money. Ladies watch your charges.

The ladies that work here are very sweet but the guy that works the front desk if by far the rudest I have ever seen. We chose where we spend our money. Don’t waste your hard earned money here! He is so disrespectful and rude. He has no manners or customer service skills! I will make sure to warn as many people as I can to stay as far as they can from this salon! Also if you’re late even by 5 min for an appointment, he will cancel your appointment but if you come on time and he or another nail tech are running behind you just have to wait for them to finish. Sometimes up to 30 min past your appointment time. Respect of time should flow both ways! You’re running a terrible establishment and it’s just a matter of time until us locals spread the word not to give you business!

Very disappointed and sad to say I will not be returning because of how I was treated today! I am a repeat customer who frequent the shop every 2-3 weeks. Last week I paid $90 to have my nails done and feet done! Two days later 5 of my ten nails were cracked and broken. I went back up to the shop today to see if there was anything they could do to rectify the situation. The nail tech redid my nails and was very sweet. When it was time to pay I was charged $40 and I asked the manager if I could have a discount because I was just there last week and several nails were cracked and broken. He said no because my nails had to be redone and it took more time than a repair! I showed him my hands upon arrival and he could see there were several nails broken! He said he could not give me a discount because I had the whole set redone! The moral of the story is if you charge people full price for a service then you should feel compelled to guarantee your work! Well, I did pay the $40 because I did not want to cause a stir. However, I will not spend another dime or support their business again!

Unfortunately the ladies who did my nails were nice and did a decent job, but the gentleman greeting people in the front was rude. Spacious salon, but that’s pretty much the only wow factor you’re going to get. Definitely recommend better treatment and customer service for first time clients.

I would highly recommend City Nails! I started coming here several months ago after being disappointed with pretty much every other nail salon in Buford. It’s very clean and everyone there is so nice! All the nails tech here are great but Vu is my absolute favorite! He’s a master at SNS and is so easy to talk to while getting my nails done, I will always have him do my nails if he’s available!

LINDA always does my sns and another girl does my pedicure- they are SUPER CLEAN and professional. LINDA does a great job on nails.

I went in this establishment and the technician gave me the color choices of what to pick from. I picked the color I wanted and the glitter. When she started on my nails I told her it was not the color or the color glitter I picked, and she ignored me at first then and told me it would be cute. I let her do it and left. I wont be back. If I go in and ask for something specific I expect to get what I asked for not told no this will be cute. It’s unfortunate this happened because my husband and I go get our toes done every three weeks and I get my nails done religiously every three weeks so it’s there loss, the salon is very clean and nice but who wants to pay that much and not get what you want.

I came here yesterday for the first time and was very impressed! The facility is beautiful and clean. I loved the instrumental music they had playing because it was very relaxing. My nail tech was Tammy and she did a wonderful job! She took her time and made sure my nails looked perfect! She also did a really good job massaging which is honestly the main reason I get pedicures and I feel like other salons barely give massages anymore. 10/10 recommend!

I accidentally dropped a bottle of polish before we had our pedicures done. They did not tell me they were charging me for the polish. I did not mind at all paying for the polish, I’am upset that they did not tell me until after the fact and that they charged me $10 for a bottle of nail polish. They were not very nice at all from the get go. I will never go back to this establishment. I will also warn everyone I know about this place. I guess that’s the price you pay for straying from your regular nail tech!

Let me first say yes that if your gonna try this place out Only Let Ely work on you. She is friendly and is the only one that know what she’s doing. After giving someone else a chance because Ely was off, I sat there for 3 hours, being the last customer in the store, and paying them 100 my nails did even last a week. The guy at the front desk had the nerves to tell me that my nails were to long that’s why they broke!! He then proceeded to tell me that it’s impossible to redo my nails with more thicker gel overlay. And couldn’t promise me I won’t be charged REALLY ?? There are no prices posted in front of check in area so u can visibly see is off somewhere to the back of the shop where no one goes. Pls get basic service because they price you after they get done. Ombré gel full set thinly done should not had me there for 3 hrs with a 100 dollar Bill. They only thing they are worried about is keep their IPAD Clean

I moved to Buford a year ago and found City Nails when they first opened. Vu is a master at SNS. Everyone is friendly and does a great job. A very clean and beautiful modern salon. I even have my husband going for pedicures. I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed.

They are always so nice, professional, and personable. I always leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and love my nails/toes! I would highly recommend City Nails — for women, men, and children!

I just visited this location and was charged $15 for a regular manicure. When I looked at the brochure once I got in the car, it had $12 listed for a regular manicure WITH POLISH. I called and told the guy I had just been overcharged and he said we charge $3 for polish. I said the brochure says $12 and that includes the polish. He stated that it’s only meant for “clear” polish, not color polish. I then said to him that it doesn’t state clear polish only and he stated, “well these are the prices”.They just ripped me off!! I have probably had 500 manicures in my lifetime and never have been charged extra for regular polish!! How ridiculous!!! STAY AWAY!!

Since I can’t share photos in this review, I’ll just describe as best I can. Went in for a quick manicure and noticed they also offer lash applications. I’ve never had my lashes done but for some reason I thought it would be a good idea. Either I was way off base about lashes in general, or the technician has no idea how to apply lashes properly. She used SO much glue that I feel like I’ve got sharp sand rubbing on my eyelids at ALL times. It’s only been two days and I’m so over these lashes, I’m literally tearing my own lashes out trying to get them off. They used a set of lashes I’ve seen for sale at Walmart. Maybe that’s normal, but I expected a better product. Also, when I asked if the glue they use is hypoallergenic and doesn’t have formaldehyde, the tech said she didn’t know the ingredients but she’s been using it for 10 years and only had a few customers have any reactions. Guess I should have known if she didn’t even know what is in the adhesive, I shouldn’t be getting them done. Anyway, the nail service was fine, they should stick to what they do best.

Went with the organic pedicure and my favorite part of the pedicure is the massage but most of the time at other salons it’s always an okay massage.This was the best massage I’ve had at a pedicure in a long time!Helen was my nail tech and she was awesome!

I went to City Nails for the first time today. First of all, this location is so spacious inside! The decor and finishes are very well done. The staff was very professional and polite. They did a great job!

Let me first start by saying City Nails is an establishment that is very consistent, excellent customer service driven and not to mention the ambience is to die for!!!!!! It’s always clean with relaxing music playing which allows relaxation to set in and I can walk ready to decompress with out worry or doubt because the service is superb every visit for the last 2 1/2 years.My 1st visit, I walked in with a few nail repairs, my nail were in horrible shape. Vu took one look and immediately suggested I start anew! I call him a nail/hand surgeon. From that day forward every 2 weeks I’ve and appointment without any broken nail or skin abrasions!!!!!! Thank you Vu and the entire City Nails staff❣️

Ive been to this establishment on a few occasions at this point and they are pretty inconsistent and seem to provide shabby service uncaringly from the point of view of the cashier. Normally, I will come and get a mani/Pedi set and maybe some acrylic nails but during my last visit, I decided to hold off on the acrylic due to a nail injury. When it came down to doing my manicure, I would say the bare minimum was done but that sadly wasn’t even the case for a manicure I paid extra for in hopes of getting a better result this time around. When the man “finished”, my cuticles still had a LOT of dead skin and I had to ask 3 separate works to address it for it to be done DECENTLY. After it was all said and done and I voiced my complaint to the cashier, AFTER paying I must add, he persistently made it seem as if a basic manicure isn’t something that any customer randomly walking into the establishment should expect but is a luxury to those who schedule an appointment with select workers, which was extremely off-putting. One would think that a basic manicure should be able to be handled by any employee within the establishment, no? Beyond that, he was continuously combative and over-talked me and was extremely dismissive after I had paid and showed a lack of interest in my concerns. I will say that John was ALWAYS a great technician and was diligent in his work and Kaylee was the one to eventually address my concerns regarding my manicure that day but other than that he had clearly show a lack of interest in giving a quality experience for the service I paid for. I can’t say if he’s response was due to my age, my race, my locs or another factor but I will say I am extremely wary of returning to the establishment I have give over $400 to this far and I would advise any other self-identifying black woman/man to do the same. Shameful.

Love this place found a salon that I enjoy everything

While I find City Nails and Spa to be clean, I find their prices are very inflated. I was charged $41.00 for a gel pedicure, which is normally$38.00, they added an additional $3.00 to remove the gel polish, which is included in the $38.00 for the pedicure. Why would someone have to pay additional money to get a pedicure, how else would one get a pedicure, if the only one is not removed? Shame on the owners and operators of City Nails for blatantly over charging their clients, as they are trying to build a clientele in the Buford area. I will NOT be frequent this business anymore, and would encourage everyone to know the price gorging is not normal in this industry.

I give them a 2.5. The girl up sold me on a pedicure but it wasn’t worth it. The massage was too basic & they didn’t put the hot towels on my calves, isn’t that half of the relaxation?!

Gave them Multiple chances to do my nails, I would go in there to get a nail fixed and they would charge me for it. They would chip within 2-3 days. Not recommended and very unprofessional.
