Darin and Will with Fister are amazing. I love their products. They retain the factory original look but even cleaner. However, they sound the way Porsche intended these cars to sound. This is a way better option than aftermarket exhaust systems that usually struggle to pass CA strict visual inspection for smog. If you have a 1990s or newer Porsche, this is the way to go!

Acquired a Fister Sport Exhaust for my 2006 Porsche 997.1 C4S. The quality of the product (mufflers) and the exhaust note they provide exceeded my expectations. I live near York in the UK. I have a 1995 Guards Red 911 ( Series 993) . I was looking for an exhaust upgrade which kept loyal to Porsche traditions, but which enriched the sound of the air cooled flat 6 engine, which had been quietened to meet the strict USA standards in place at the time.I looked at Fister in California and a European alternative.After much research I chose Darin and the Fister Stage 2s. The product was delivered exactly on time, and is first class quality.The sound is just great. Driven gently, it is relatively quiet, louder than before but not disturbing or intrusive. It is a deeper tone with burbles and yet keeps the raspy air cooled sound. When driven hard it screams and makes the most of the definitive Porsche air cooled noise....and while Will and Darin stated that there would be no increase in HP, the car is now much more free revving, and gets up to speed effortlessly. Seems we have released the back pressure and are allowing the car to do what it was designed to do.Buying a USA product when in the UK, during a Covid 19 pandemic could have been hard, but Will made the buying process easy. The communications were outstanding. UPS were used to ship the goods to me and they were great. Constant updates...and they assisted me to pay the UK duty, which was much less than expected.All in all ...a great product, from people who care.More expensive then the European alternative....but NO Drone, improved performance and an amazing sound. I spent much of 2 months researching sound of exhausts on 986 Boxsters, BASE model, ie, without the sport muffler. I considered many different makes, cost, sound, and appearance. I did not object to the original sound of my 04 Boxster, but I did object to the fact that I could not hear the exhaust to assist me when shifting, especially starting from a standing position. I did not want loud, nor did I want ANY resonance. I learned that as long as I stuck with the OEM muffler, I would have no resonance. The Fister conversion seemed to meet my needs. Since I did not like the original oval tip, I bought 2 Gibson SS tips, 3 in. dia., had them welded to the muffler by Professional Muffler, then sent the unit to Fister. They had assured me that the Gibson tips would not be a problem. Indeed, they were not. FD did a beautiful job, and the exhaust tone is perfect--mellow when I want it to be, and aggressive when desired. Will, at FD, is really prompt and helpful with all inquiries. I could not be more pleased.

Great shop, worth the travel from anywhere in the bay area. Darin is my go to guy from my 993 & 964 turbo. He installed two different suspensions on the 993 and numerous other maintenance, repairs and upgrades over the years. His Fister mufflers are a great upgrade. They also have a great mail order business and supply me with many parts from my other Porsches.

I was searching for the best sounding exhaust/muffler modifications to get something close or better sounding, like the Porsches own factory optioned Sport exhaust, out out my otherwise all stock and very mild sounding (non-sport exhaust) 2011 Porsche 911S (997.2 gen) with PDK, with out having to spend thousands of dollars !A good friend of mine recommended Darin Fisters shop FD Motorsports to just have both of my left/right mufflers lightly, but professionally modified that that sounds just as good as the Porsches Sport exhaust if not better by FD Motorsports !!!So, thats just what I did, I called them and spoke with Will Bennett (the shop manager) . Will was very professional and helpful in explaining how the work was going to be done, how long it would take, what to expect and so on .I dropped of the mufflers with Will, a week latter (they are a busy shop) my mufflers were ready on time and when I was picking up the modified mufflers, I also had the pleasure of meeting Darin Fister, the owner, in person, too !Installed the mufflers back on my car and honestly, my car sounds gloriously better ! Now I can hear my engine singing the perfect mechanical symphony upon start up and accelaration as you would expect from the wonderful Porsche 911 flat 6 without being obnoxiously or uselessly loud !!!Im very happy with the outcome of their work, Darin and Will are very pleasant and honest people. Quick review of the Fister Exhaust mod for the 911 (997.2). I love the results. With mild throttle, its quiet when you want it to be with no droning or resonance when cruising at highway speeds. When applying more than 50% throttle, the extra sound from the exhaust is noticeable and the sound is pure Porsche, with out being too harsh or loud. The sound improvement is just right! Id definitely recommend opting for the ceramic coating. Makes the finished product look as good as it sounds. Lastly a big shout out to Will for the excellent customer service!

Darin is an absolute legend. He was super helpful while getting my exhaust set up with my 996 Carrera 2. Not only do the mufflers look amazing, but he also helped me with replacement hardware and muffler brackets. I wish working with all car folks was this easy. When I bought my 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera, the one thing it lacked was someexhaust sound. I had heard in the Porsche community about Darin Fister of FDmotorsports and how his modification made mechanical music on 911s. So Idecided to remove mine and ship them out to California from Miami Fl. Fromthe moment, I turned the key and went for a spin, I was amazed at thedifference. Subtle when normal driving but when you hammer the throttle, itopens up and sounds wonderful. The work FD does is top notch from thewelding to the finish, its perfect. You may spend $ more with this optionbut its well worth it as your not getting some Gundo Hack that a local shopcan easily mess up your expensive Porsche mufflers. Great products and customer service. Their golden rod and short shift kit along with the Rothsport shifter completely transformed my 993s shift feel. Their poly lower control arm bushings stop my steering wheel shake.

2014, 991.1, 7 spd manual, AWE Performance H Pipe- Love my car, but something was still missing. It needed more out of the exhaust. I ordered a set of Fister Sport Mufflers for my 997.1 3.6L 911. Darin was very responsive and knowledgeable. My mufflers delivered on time, with high quality welds and ceramic coating. Install was very simple with no need to remove the bumper cover or wheels. The mufflers have a deeper, angrier growl at idle and really nice howl above 4000 rpm. Absolutely no drone or resonances on the highway. Very cost effective for the results. Highly recommended.

The fister exhaust will enhance your driving enjoyment 100% guaranteed. Gas mileage may decrease as you find yourself driving in sport mode all the time trying to coax the best sounds. The volume can still be tamed at lower rpms, and cold start is only marginally louder so you can confidently start up early in the morning without waking up your neighbors.For anyone in the area or within driving range I also recommend visiting the shop for installation. They were very accommodating when I needed to reschedule multiple times and the service was great.

I purchased the Fister 996 3.4 Sport Exhaust Modification online and just had it installed. It is absolutely AMAZING. Ive done a ton of mods to my 996, and this is by far the most impactful. From a service standpoint, I called earlier on and spoke to Will, and he confirmed that what I was ordering was correct...and he even offered to have them answer any questions on the phone if I had any issues while installing it. It was shipped on time, and arrived as expected. Second of all, the product itself is beautiful. I had the black ceramic coating and I couldnt believe how nice it looked, given its a part that isnt actually going to be seen much. Serious craftsmanship. Third of all -- the SOUND. Oh my, the SOUND. I also have a Macan Turbo with factory Porsche Sports Exhaust, and the Fister is even better on the 996. Thats saying something. Its not obnoxiously loud mind you, but yes, it growls and is head turning. If you have not watched the YouTube videos from the people that had it done, you should. I had my 2010 997 apart with a major service. I asked about FD Motorsports exhaust...We called FD and they sent up a pair and we installed them and sent my exhaust back to FD Motorsports the same day! Slick!Very mellow, punch when you want it and a mellow burbling at idle. Cruise all day long at 70 and never be droned out!These mufflers were the best upgrade bang for the buck Ive spent. I haven’t ever worked on cars before, so I had a buddy help install the new Fister mufflers on my 997.1 C4. we had to consult YouTube a couple of times and make 3 trips to the hardware store for tools, Pb blaster and bolts, but after that the install was easy. Some ikea styled instructions would have helped a noob like me, but overall I am very happy. The exhaust sounds amazing. Exactly what the car needed. The exchange went smoothly. Thanks!

Happy Customer from Down Under.I purchased my 991.1Carrera S in December 2018 and quickly gave it my normal upgrade of BMC air filters and a set of 200 cell cat sport headers and loved the increased mid-range but the sound was just too right, noting I do not have PSE. I put on a Sharkwerks Centre pipe which lifted the decibels but just did not have the deep throaty sound I was looking for, so I contacted Sharkwerks who put me onto FD Motorsport and I ordered a pair of Fister Sport mufflers. The process was easy, once I received the mufflers I sent my old mufflers back and got refunded all within 45 days in Australia from start to finish. I now have the best sounding 991.1 S in the Club down here in Melbourne at a fraction of the costs of some of the exotic options, with a great sound and ABSOLUTELY no drone. To finish it off I did end up ordering a set of single AWE black tips and I cannot recommend this set up highly enough, well done to Will and the team at FD Motorsports.David MMelbourne Australia.

I know Darin and Mark since 2008. They have created the best aftermarket products for the 993 cars IMHO. To date I have purchased the FDM cans, short shifter kit and LWF.Darin and Mark are stand up guys and they love what they do and dealing with them is very easy despite being on the other side of the country.Two thumbs up for FD Motorsports.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dan Fister to have work done on my 997.2. I had the Fister sports exhaust and SharkWerks bypass installed.First off, despite his famous name in the Porsche circle, Dan was a very personable, approachable and humble man. He was very pleasant to work with and very accommodating.The quality of the his product as well as the quality of his work was excellent, truly everything that I have heard and read about in magazines and videos and more. The combination of the exhaust and bypass really brings out the righteous noises! No droning, no problems just pure aural pleasure! This is how it should come out of the factory!My vehicle has PDK and I did not experience any idle roughness that I have read in the forums. The sound from the inside at idle or below 2-3k rpm is close stock with no weird vibrations or drone, then you step on the gas and release the glorious wail of that flat six!All the work was done in about 2 hours, actually an hour faster than promised.I cant say enough great things about his company and service! Dan is a real pleasure to meet and do business with. Will definitely come back for other Porsche work. Thanks again Dan for welcoming me to the family!

Ordered a Fister exhaust for my Porsche 997.1. The quality cannot be faulted and the sound is just amazing on my 2006 911. The exhaust was shipped quickly from the US to Australia and Darin was helpful throughout the whole process. If you still have a stock exhaust on your 911 a Fister sports exhaust is what you need!
