The garage in branford is the one that fixed my brakes North branford is where I dropped it off on rt 80. Did an excellent job I have a few other things I need to get taken care of and thats where Im going

I called Geico who blind transferred me to my local provider RJ Shore. I explained I have a flat tire on my motorcycle and said I need a tow. She said it would be fine but kept getting confused over the payment method. She kept asking about cash and had no concept of out of pocket other than cash. I then asked about tire repair service so I could do it there if they provide that service. She said I dont know I didnt ask them about that. I said OK well I still need a tow. She said OK and then just hung up on me. I tired calling back several times just to get a busy signal. RJ shore never called me back. They left me stranded. Very unprofessional and I would not consider using them again.

This company was contracted through AAA to tow my vehicle at around 130am. The driver showed up tired and asked if he could take the car at 6am instead. Whatever. I specifically instructed to driver verbally and through text to leave car keys on seat when car was dropped off. Instead this guy decides to lock all doors and put the key in a mailbox that he thinks belongs to auto shop. Screwed up my whole day. When I told the receptionist what happened she continued to lie saying the owner would call me which never happened. After my third call she started getting very rude and hung up on my. I felt like going there and handling things unprofessionally but my better judgement took over fortunately.

Was fairly certain I knew what was wrong with my truck, I thought the fuel pump went out. Instead I had a wiring harness go bad, and instead of ripping me off which they could have done very easily, they were honest and fixed it for much cheaper. The staff were extremely nice. Me and Brian and bros now. I highly recommend using them for any of your vehicle needs!

Very very impressed. We have had two situations where they have been called from AAA. Both times, the guys who came out were professional, helpful, and quite honestly, just great.

Our car broke down at 1pm on a Saturday, they took us in and let us stay there until we found a rental car. We found a rental car that was in horrible condition and they helped us clean it out and let us stay at the shop until 4pm. They were super helpful and even helped us find a different rental car place that had cars in better shape than our current one. They are kind, respectful, and super willing to help.

I would recommend RJ Shore Automotive to anyone having problems with their car! I am not from the area, so I didnt know where to go and really needed my car to be fixed over a weekend. They had my car towed almost immediately and were able to get it fixed the next day. They also took the time to explain everything to me, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be going to them in the future with any car issues.

I have been using RJ Shore Automotive for a number of years now and although I always praise them on social media sites, I never wrote a review here.From oil changes to breaking down and needing a tow, the people at RJ Shore have always been there for me. The work they do is affordable and done right the first time. They even have someone who will drive you home and pick you up (if you need it) so you don’t have to sit there waiting.I wont bring my vehicles to anyone else!

Hands down THE BEST. I am a first time referall customer; my grandma has been getting her car worked on here for years for a reason. The staff is really helpful and service was quick. I’ve never in my life had such fast, on-point service (I’ve often been without a car for a couple days with brake repairs in the past). Really cozy waiting area with coffee, water and tv etc. Will definitely be returning to these guys for any future maintenance on my car!

Great help today when car battery was dead and had to be at doctors for appointment, the young lady who answered the phone helped set everything up for me after my panic call. First with Jason getting car started and then Todd installing a battery for me in time to make the appointment. Wonderful service!

Quoted us a price - after running a diagnostic on 8th cylinder. After work completed- suddenly finds another problem in the same cylinder? And wants to open up and charge us even more to go in do that repair? Shouldnt that have been detected on initial diagnostic? We paid for service provided. When we got car home we clearly notice a huge part missing? we called about it, told that they lost it and would buy us a new one. They never did and have avoided our calls. Now we have to wonder what else is missing that we cant see. we were long time customers and used to trust them with our three vehicles. We were burned.

Went to the lot the day after my son got into a fender bender. Service manager told my husband and son to call our insurance. Said he cant do anything until he hears from them. By the time my insurance company informed us that they didnt have to get involved (we had no collision as the car was very old) RJ auto racked up our bill to almost 500.00 for sitting on their lot. We wanted to have the car towed to our house. We could have just paid and been done (about 130.00). I tried to reason with both the manager and owner. Not even to waive the whole bill. I get they are a business and I took some responsibility for not being fully informed about how things work. They would not budge. The service manager wanted nothing to do with me as I was outright told by the owner, because I wrote a bad review on their face book page. He did have total attitude and was completely condescending. Didnt own up to what he told us. After I spoke with people, I heard a lot of negative things about them. Be careful. Dont get your car towed there and make sure you are informed about how things work. Otherwise, they will take advantage. 480.00 to sit on a lot. Disgusting.

RJ Shore and Karissa are the absolute best! My son was not well en route from NJ to CT to visit a friend. He was taken to the hospital and RJ Shore took his car from Rt. 95 and brought it back to their facility. All I can say is that Karissa helped ease a nervous NJ mom by making sure the car was stored safely.. then, she arranged to have the car brought to the hospital so that my son would have his car when he was ready to be discharged (which would be after RJ Shore closed for the night). If there were 25 Stars, I would gladly give it to them.. THANK YOU! A customer for life...

Horrible, horrible business. If I could I would give this business zero stars. Our insurance company recommended R J Shore to tow our car that had been damaged by vandalism at our apartment complex. The day they were supposed to pick up the car they said they couldnt get tires in time. Meanwhile our landlord started to have serious issues with this vandalized car just sitting in the parking lot and threatened to have it towed if we did not take care of it. Three days later when they finally received the tires they said they couldnt make it because the tires were at their other location and that this other location was already closed for the day so we would have to wait. Next day they said they would come in the morning between 8 and 10 am and no one showed. By the time we got home from work that day, which was over 5 days from when they said they would first pick up our car, the car was STILL in the parking lot and our landlord had us towed. Every time we called them to ask about the status of our tow they were clearly agitated that we were even calling, were very short with us, kept pushing us off with nonsense excuses and overall horrible customer service skills. In the end they NEVER DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. Do not recommend this company for any service.

This is a big shout out to Bruce at R J Shore Automotive Towing for going way above and beyond in customer service and kindness to someone in distress.I was driving through Connecticut at night with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Cooper, on my way home Thanksgiving weekend when I had a serious roadside emergency in Branford, CT.I was greatly concerned regarding whether or not the tow truck my roadside assistance was sending would either allow Cooper in the truck or to stay in the car while I was towed because I dont know anyone in the area who could come pick up Cooper for me. While my roadside assistance was less than helpful in that regard, luck was on my side as the tow truck driver, Bruce, was a dog owner and lover himself. Also lucky for me and Cooper, Bruce was very observant and noticed my car was leaking gas. He was concerned for my dogs safety, so he allowed Cooper to come into the cab of his truck. This was over the top kindness to my dog who was distressed over the situation. Bruce brought my car to a place that would be able to replace the tires and assess and fix the other problems Sunday so I could get home as soon as possible with Cooper. Since we couldnt stay in the car until the place opened due to the gas leak, Bruce also waited while I attempted to reach relatives. When I was unable to reach anyone who could help because it was the middle of the night, he found me a pet friendly motel and drove me and Cooper there. This scary and distressful situation was made much easier by the kindness of Bruce.

Rude and dishonest stay away

Dishonest business. They were contracted by Carmax to tow my new car and their employee damaged the vehicle while attempting to get it on the flat bed. They claim no responsibility. Currently filing claim against them in CT Small Claims Court. I would give 0 starts if I could.

They saved me a lot of moolah. My car wouldnt start. I tried the usual suspects, battery, gas, sparkplugs. Not it, had to take it in. Had it towed to RJ Shore on a tip from the tow truck driver. My car needed a new computer, they spent 2 days finding me a used one for $180 instead of $700, total repair savings, over $500. They didnt call me before they did the repair, so if thats important to you, be vigilant with keeping in touch with them. But I am willing to forgive that since all I care about is having my car fixed properly at as low cost, and that is what I got.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible customer service. I waited 1 hour and 36 minutes for a tow after I was told it would be about and hour. After the hour I called and they told me it would be 10 minutes thats when it turned into another 36 minutes. The customer service rep hung up on me and when I called back (several times) they sent me into the voice message service. Horrible customer service. Take pride in your business and respect your customers.

Call and the Guy that pic up the Phone hangup on my face call again and tell t him that he hangup in my facet and he told me that he did not told him that he did and say ok listen to this and hangup in my facr again thats the kind of people that they have thanks to god ILL never spend my money with such disrespectfull people keep doing a Bad job.

Usually good service, but they made a huge mistake on my car that cost me money which they would not refund. Went to them a couple of times until they sold me wrong size tire pressure sensor which caused two flat tires. When I asked for a refund for the two flat tires and service, they only gave me money for the tire pressure sensor. What they really meant by refund was actually a store voucher not an actual check!!! What makes them think I would actually bring my car back to a place that caused me so much problems in the first place. So basically, whoever the guy who works at the front counter is, lied to me twice. Once about not being responsible for leak caused by tire air pressure sensor and then again by not refunding the money. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DO NOT OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES!
