Im an old gym rat and LAF has everything for a serious workout. Clean. Friendly. Organized activities for those interested. Can get very busy during prime time but definitely a 1st class gym at reasonable cost, without the trendy juice bar or over-priced pro shop. Simply looking for the opportunity to get in shape in a nice environment? Then, I highly recommend it.

Huge area of gym reserved only for trainers... Of course another up-sell. LA fitness has been less than impressive in their flexibility or for a family. Nice gym for a single to look and be seen... Less of a fitness center for a family.

I use to belong to the YMCA, which I love, but moved and LA was closest. Had a free session with the personal trainer and then the sales pitch was to follow. 1 year commitment, which if you actually want to sell try adding a 3 month or 10 sessions etc., I said I would have to think about it and this person actually looked irritated that I didnt sign up. They proceeded to call my son every day to try to get him to switch over to LA, he told them continuously no, but they continued to call. Needless to say I felt awkward going after. I signed up somewhere else, no sales pitch!!

Ive been signed up for personal training and regular membership for a year, thats $230 a month! The trainers were good, but thats where it ends... From front staff that dont know anything about their job to costumer service! When I finally wanted to cancel my personal training, I was given a run around from wrong information to the person is not here, sick oh no you dont need to do this do that! Finally, I was assured my membership has been canceled just to find out $200 coming out of my account again! Now, after trying to get a hold of person in charge for a day, I was told to come in at 10 am to fix this, I sat there for an hour waiting while the person who was suppose to meet with me sat next to me making another sale!!! Beware, easy to sign up, but thats where costumer service ends!

I have been a member for some time I had a friend move to town. He wanted to join U-Fit said was not a bad gym. I told him come with me to LA Fitness. I asked for a guess pass and he said $15.00. Bothered me so I told him cancel my account. He just did not care, not his business. I just joined if it for $20.00 a month and I can work out at any u Fit.This younger generation does not care about the companies they work for anymore.

I inquired about a membership and received a call from Chris. He proceeded to do his sale pitch. When I was not interested and said I could obtain a membership cheaper like a crunch fitness he proceeds to tell me you get what you pay for. The quality of people are better at LA fitness. At crunch you get a crowd of 17/18 years old as that is all they can afford. Flat out rude and crossed many lines. Will never join an organization that thinks this way.

No customer service, and there isn’t any cleaning after equipment use. I’m surprised people aren’t getting sick. Spend the extra time and go elsewhere.

I joined in November after Shapes closed and am Very disappointed in the water aerobics program. They do not have permanent teachers for the classes. The classes are very boring and routine. There has been 58 people in the Monday 9a.m. class the last two weeks and the maximum is suppose to be 40. I was told they would have an earlier class when I joined and now there saying this isnt so. They need to get more professional in there attitude.I came from the east bank club in Chicago and have been at Shapes for 19 years and am very disappointed. They need to have someone show the instructors how a water class should be done. They had to be certified at Shapes and here they just get any instructor that is available. Tuesday they had no instructor so at 9:10 they got a supervisor to do the class. She was excellent!!{very enthusiastic and motivating}

Trainers are pretentious jerks who do nothing but walk around and look down on you. They create a very intimidating and cold environment. The workers are not accommodating and barates you with calls about joining yet will never go above and beyond the call of action to convince you that you belong here. Waste of time, money and frustration. The only thing they have going for them is the fact they monopolize the fitness market here so you have no choice but to sign up here. Still would rather run in the Florida heat that be here.

Creekwood location this is the dirtiest nastiest LA Fitness I have ever been too. Dirty workout area, shower area. full of mold, and do not think about the whirlpool, got hot tubbers disease in there twice over a 6 yr period. Employees are horrible, and could not give a damn. It is a crap shoot if they even open up on time.Save your money go to a different location.They need to pay for a decent MATURE manager here and obviously they dont.

I have read previous reviews on this gym location that were less than favorable. What I found was not what I had read. The gym itself was clean and well attended. The racquetball courts were busy and had people waiting to play. The front desk staff were very friendly upon my arrival. The zumba class was great as was the instructor, Tasha. The only downside is the gym does not have a good sound system in the zumba room like they do in some of their other locations. Dont be scared off by some of the negative feedback on this location. Go ck it out for yourself amd then decide.

The online reviews regarding the personal trainers and staff at this location are true...they are rude, unprofessional and don’t have any customer service skills. I am now working out at another location and won’t be back. Wish I could give them zero stars....

Tried to cancel membership. Amari said he needed to get managers approval. Two months later credit card Still being billedTalked to manager Lauren, she said she will take care of it. Never did. Left message for her to call me, never did.Lauren finally left and got New manager to cancel. Waiting to see my bill

I am a 15 years costumer, have brought to LA more than 10 new costumers and only the reason i still here is because unfortunately this is the closest gym to my house.I have had two bad experiences , The first : One day the manager came to me while i was working out(20 minutes after i start) he told me that i have to leave the place because some body complained that i made pipi in the steam room!!! I was laughing and looking around for the cameras thinking that was i tv joke... when i realized it wasnt ask for the name or any proof about that complaint agaist me but manager told me in nice mood... please leave the place and you can come back tomorrow.. SO HE ASSUMED THAT THIS COMPLAINT WAS TRUE WITHOUT ANY PROOF AGAINST ME!!! I felt totally humiliated and disappointed but leave the place. I CONSIDER TO SUT LA but before i went to talk again with that MANAGER he told me that it was a mistake and gave me a evidently hypocrisies excuses BUT HE DOESNT CALL ME TO SAY I AM SORRY!! HE DID WHEN I CAME BACK!!Second one: i brought my brother who was in vacations here in Bradenton we talk with a guy ( i think a representative or manager .... we want to pay off that three months like a temporary membership, he accepted and we paid off...three months later i realized that LA without my permission discount a monthly charge for that temporary membership and when i made my complaint the same guy told me that was his mistake but he didnt think that LA REFUND that MONEY TO ME AND HE WAS TRUE LA NEVER DID IT.

Told person at counter I wanted to cancel and she never passed the info correctly and I didnt realized for 4 months. When I called to cancel, AGAIN, and get reimbursed they said a manager would call me and they didnt. Called back and demanded a manager. He said he wouldnt do anything. Tried to get a hold of corporate and they didnt call me back. Disputed w my bank which was accepted and then declined bc I was supposed to know that I had to sit down w a manager and sign something. They owe me at least $100. Big corporate bs ripping of the little guy as usual. Im here trying to support a family and sick at the same time. Will never do business w them again if I move back to Florida.

Inept managment from top to bottom. Not unheard for 1/2 of the showers to be off-line during the busy hours when they want to clean them (rare event); worse yet, in 16 months, they have twice closed 50% of the 4 showers for several days when they had to regrout. Repair and maintenance work that you would expect to be done after hours is never done that way as they apparently will not pay overtime. Equipment is frequently broken and remains so for weeks/months. Cleanliness is not something they understand. Customer service is entirely antithetical here.As soon as a competitor opens nearby many of us will be gone.

Filty Suna area. No one enforce the policy. Folks walk in with their shoes and clothes without showering right after working out. Imagine the SMELL. Management could care less. Several folks have complained and cancel their membershipbecause of this.

Dirty, Filthy, Disgusting. To describe Management as Poor would be an over exaggeration !! If you want to see how a fitness center is supposed to be operated, go to the University Parkway facility.For the past few months, they have opened on time.

The staff is horrible. Literally got cussed at by more than one of the staff members. Trainers are very nasty rude and cocky. I have never been treated so badly by staff of something I was paying forGym is nasty unsanitary and a huge health hazardSave your money

I went online and printed a 1 week guest pass to this place and began trying the place out. The second day I went there I was informed that the company had been taken over by L.A. Fitness and that they would not be honoring my guest pass and that was the last day I could work out there. They pretty much said you either sign up after your workout or your not welcome here anymore. I was not even offered the standard L.A. Fitness 3 day guest pass which was certainly available on their website. I cant believe they let me print the guest pass and then honor it for a day and pretty much try to pressure me into joining a gym I knew nothing about, especially considering it had just got taken over by a new company and they wouldnt even let me get a feel for the place even though my guest pass said I had a 1 week trial period. All the employees were still wearing Lifestyle Family Fitness shirts, all the signs still said Lifestyle Family Fitness, but they refused to honor the 1 week pass I had in my wallet that said Lifestyle Family Fitness. This is extremely poor customer service and a red flag indicator of this companys corporate policy. I will never return to this location ever again and will make sure that everyone I know is aware of the unfair business practices that this new management team employs.

As a member of LA I have been to several locations in the area. This location is by far the worst.1. Outdated equipment.2. Never any sanitizer left to clean equipment.Never had issues with the staff though.
