I had been at GT Bray, but I wasnt happy with the COVID response there.I appreciate the spacing and air circulation offered by Planet Fitness. This location tends to not be terribly crowded and the strength training equipment is in good shape. I am glad I made the switch over to Planet Fitness

I was hesitant to even go to a planet fitness because of the “us vs. them” mentality they have, which is slightly off putting, but this was the closest option I had when I was on a family vacation, and I decided to take a risk. Best risk ever. I was very surprised by how well the gym equipment is. For the price, and how busy (it’s not busy at all even during peak hours), the amenities, this gym is a steal! The employees are nice and helpful, the cleanliness of the gym compares to none others I’ve been in. It’s a great place, especially if you need a gym while on a family vacation. Will definitely consider going to other planet fitness gyms in the future.

There is dirt, dust, and hair around the permiter of the gym. If I look on the floors around the base of the machines, I see the same dirt. There seems to always be at least 2 employees on duty every time I work out. It would be very easy for 1 of them to Swiffer the floors and the bases of the equipment every day. I will continue to observe the cleanliness. If I dont see an improvement, I will find a new gym. Thank you.

It is great to go work out again. Hate the mask mandate, but thats life right now. It kept sliding down while I was on the treadmill!

The Bradenton location was rude and not willing to help a member, who came in to upgrade to their more expensive plan. I ended up canceling my account and going to Around the Clock Fitness.

I like it because it’s clean and there’s hardly anyone there. I don’t need to wait for machines or weights. Also the staff is friendly. The locker room is never really used so you can always find a locker. The bathrooms are clean and showers are too.

The gym is huge, so there is plenty of space to keep your distance from others. They have at least 2 or 3 of each machine, so you dont have to wait to use anything. They have a separate are for circuit training. The price is so low that everyone can afford it.

My favorite Planet Fitness of all the ones I have been in. Always super clean and plenty of machines. The staff is always in a good mood.

This was my first time having a gym membership. The staff was helpful and super nonjudgmental. I loved how the trainer would push and encourage people to be the best version of themselves. I’ve made different friends there. I also fell in love with working out. Something about this environment made me feel comfortable enough to actually enjoy the process of working out. It might be the colors or the encouraging quotes on the wall. Or even the encouraging people. I’m not sure what it was but I loved having a membership here. Unfortunately I had to move to St. Pete and cancel but this will forever be my number one gym to go to when I’m in the area❤️(For the plus size girls that are looking for a a gym to go to, this one made me feel the most comfortable going into)

No tanning beds! Only stand up.

I’m a black card member from Central Florida. This is my most frequented Planet Fitness besides my home gym. I like that there is plenty of equipment to use making a wait to use said equipment nonexistent. The equipment as well as the whole interior is always maintained and in good condition. The reason I give this place three stars is because this gym is not open 24/7. This is the only Planet Fitness I know of that has opening hours seven days a week. Oddly enough, Planet Fitness opened another gym in Bradenton a year ago that is open 24/7. Not to mention, that gym closes on fewer holidays than this gym on Manatee Ave. I hope this Planet Fitness will consider opening 24/7 because I find this gym to be in a safer location than the other gym.

Spaced out for social distancing and very very clean

Not that bad of a place if you just want to exercise without being judged, if youre going for muscle mass, this is not the place to go.

This is a great gym, and the staff is the most helpful we have found. We were members of GT Bray for their gym, but for the same price this is hands down the best.I particularly like the large number of weight machines and treadmills - and while on the treadmill you can watch and listen to any one of about a dozen TVs. My wife likes the Hydro massage chairs as well.

I wish I would have choosen a different home gym. Staff here is unhelpful and rude.

This place does not open 24 hours. When I googled this fitness and looked at another one mistakenly, I left my place and arrived there shortly before 7pm there was nobody at the front desk or in site but then 5 min into my exercise some stuff member came, very rudely, to basically tell me to leave. She was very fast on her purpose, not even the word “sorry” was used. There is nothing exceptional about this gym but they should be more skilled in how to treat customers.

Nice large facility. They have so much exercise equipment that is rare that you have to wait for someone else to finish. I was surprised that I couldnt find a lat raise machine there so I ended up using free weights for that. The equipment is well maintained and in good shape. I have not found a five star gym yet.

Dirty dirty gym

Loved Planet Fitness but staff changed and I wanted to change my plan. Due to family sickness I didnt have time to go to Planet Fitness so I needed to change my plan. I was told it would cost me more money. I had paid for months and hadnt been there and they wanted to charge me more. I said well I will just rejoin. They said it will cost me more. So I said I will just cancel my membership. They could care less. Was very helpful in canceling my membership but did nothing to keep me as a patron. Wont go back.

Super clean gym nice staff and good equipment...

They dont have a water refill station which I enjoy from others facilities. There counter tops are at least flat and not curved. Workers are friendly, bathroom clean. But theres a maintenance door of the ladies locker room that was open that made we want more privacy locker. The shower for hot water interesting to figure out.

I worked out here while traveling. Ive been to many Planet Fitnesss around the country and wasnt very impressed with this one.The lighting is horrible! There are no windows or skylights. This means that even during the day it feels like youre working out at night. Killed my energy.The building is a huge warehouse. Ive never seen a pf so large. However, the space is a waste. Its so big that they could easily fit all the equipment in half the space. Even the locker rooms are too big. You could probably fit 100 people in the locker room alone.All this being said, the staff was helpful and professional, the facilities were clean, and all the equipment was functional.I wouldnt make this my home gym but it works in a pinch.

I have been to planet fitness from New Jersey to Florida to california. I can say with surety that this is the best planet fitness I have ever been to. Good crowd, great management, clean and comfortable.

Compared to the 20 or so other locations around the country, this is the worst. Bathrooms old and dirty. Old tanning beds, No red light therapy beds, not 24/7, staff was ok. I tossed something in the trash and 2 days later still sitting in it. Most locations welcome you and say bye when you leave. This location will if you initiate the contact first. They do have enough equipment so that was nice.

Clean, a great variety of exercise equipment including free weights, cables, weight machines, elliptical machines, recumbent bikes, and regular exercise bikes, and abdominal machines.

Love planet fitness! But have had some not so good experience at this location. The staff at the desk are so unhelpful, unwelcoming ! I had to wait for a employee at the desk to stop texting on his phone to answer my question! Their rude attitude is unacceptable, and so is the manager!And my favorite circuit workout is always being used by elder that sit and talk on the machines. It’s NOT regularly monitored by staff!! I should enjoy wanting to come to the gym, but makes me angry when I get there, from the staff to the the 30 min circuit workout area. Might be canceling my membership AGAIN.

Worse place ever!! Total scam and con artist! I have called over 10 times saying to cancel membership they keep telling me it has to be in person or certified letter. I can not do either have repeatedly told them i do not live within 300 miles of them and not able to!Scam they have received over a year of membership from me without even stepping foot in there! And now refuse to stop membership

My first time here I was impressed by the many people that were there and how quiet it was. The do indeed have a lunk alarm for heavy weightlifting.They have treadmills with tvs in front, a massage room with hydromassage machines, a 30 min workout routine, chocolates on the front desk. The staff are helpful, polite, respectful. The area inside and out are clean of litter, there are restrooms avaible (clean), locker rooms (gender separated), they have sanitary items to wipe down machines. Overall I am satisfied and will return.

I just moved to Tampa and when I went to say good byeI felt as I was saying good bye to my family.The gym equipment is amazing and all their employees are helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. The new manager is horrible. I am shocked that they would hire someone as rude and as poor at customer service as her. I use to recommend this gym, that will not be the case anymore. Sad to see one miserable person ruin a good gym. Hopefully they find someone new quickly!!

Great for those of us who want to work out and be left alone.

Lots of equipment but absolutely hate their retarded no noise while working out policy. If your pushing yourself hard, a little grunting or hard breathing is LITERALLY natural. Boxers are even trained to exhale hard on muscle contractions. This type of breathing pattern is shown to aid in high intensity, short energy bursts.Plus who the hell cares how someone else breathes while they work out? Its ridiculous.

Horrendous customer service. I regrettably signed up for a 30-day membership while on leave following a tour with the military. At the new fiscal year, they automatically began charging my card again monthly. After writing a certified letter explaining the situation (because they will not cancel your membership over the phone), they again canceled my membership but the manager absolutely refused to refund the collective $120+ this gym had errantly charged my card. The manager acted like some sort of telephone tough guy, knowing that his customer was 900 miles away.Steer clear of this establishment. They care more about making a profit, even if it means wrongfully skimming from your wallet, than their customers.If you doubt my review, try canceling your membership and hold on for the ride.

I just moved to Bradenton from Nebraska and I went in to transfer my account to this location. I loved the experience from my last Planet Fitness gym so I was very disappointed to find that this location lacked professionalism and pleasant interactions I had always had at my other PF. If I could rate this facility any lower I would.To start off when I went to the counter to ask for assistance transferring my account, there were 2 staff members a young lady whose name I did not get and a young gentleman named Matt. Matt was the one who assisted me with this process, but apparently he was new was the excuse the young lady gave me for why he was struggling and getting frustrated with my account transfer. He had gotten so frustrated he used profanity, then at one point they began to argue with one another because of miscommunication on instructions. Then another gentleman who was dressed in workout clothes, Im guessing who was also an employee because him and the young lady were discussing her lack of shifts, her change in availability, and issues with how her manager made the schedule. After about 10 minutes or more of Matt struggling, listen to employees bad mouth their manager the young lady came over to complete the process. At that point I was so disgusted by all of this I asked her not to transfer my account and I would just cancel it once I completed by contract which I had no intention of doing when I first got there. I explained to her how unprofessional and unpleasant the experience was and I never would want to belong to this gym. She said that she would leave it alone, but as soon as I left I got an email tje transfer was completed.I was so frustrated I contacted the manager at my old gym and explained to him what happened at which point he offered to contact the PF in Bradenton and have them cancel my contract without penalty. After he took care of this he called me back and said if I needed any further assistance to let him know. That is what great customer service is, and its unfortunate that the Bradenton location does not provide the same service. In a business where there are so many gyms to choose from customer service is what makes a difference, something this staff is in desperate need of understanding.

Absolute rude encounter with manager and his helper working late afternoon during a blood drive in the parking lot. Monday, 8/4/2014Sorry for the long story, but I felt it deserved a full explanation.My wife and I have been black card members for approximately 3 years in Orlando. We moved to SRQ area a few months ago and have been going to this Bradenton location.I had transferred my location to Bradenton but, my wife was holding out because she didnt care for the long drive to get to this location from Sarasota. She had decided to cancel and was told that she had to do it at the Orlando location in person. This was fine, since we are traveling back and fourth some and still using that location occasionally. So, Orlando PF told her that she needed to give more notice to stop the next payment so, one more payment would come out. This was to be 1 week later. Still, no problem, she gave her notice, and paid for another month. She was told that she could use her membership until August 13th by the Orlando facility and it was confirmed by the Bradenton location.Well on Monday 8/4/2014, She walked in and started signing in the guest area and when the manager checked her out said she could not work out. She tried to speak nicely with them to understand but, the manager and his helper said (3) times, When you quit, you quit!. As if she couldn’t comprehend what they were saying. They were very rude, and have no business in customer service. I believe the manager may have been experiencing roid rage. Lol.Well, my wife, the classy person she is, didnt feel like $20 was worth getting upset over so, she thanked them and left.Im canceling my membership ASAP. Thanks to the other kind people of PF, its been fun!

June 2013, In town for my sons wedding. Staff was extreamly accomodating and friendly. One of the largest PFs Ive been in to date around the country. Equipment is spread out and roomy. The only drawback I could have is that they are lacking some of the equipment that is at many of the other PFs that Ive been to.
