Cutz by Allen @ Riverside is definitely the spot for a perfect fade, nice relaxing environment, & professional/friendly staff. Its not easy finding a new spot & barber when new to an area, but Id strongly recommend them to anyone (ladies too).

Im a born and raised NJ Italian, had the same barber up there for 10+ years who was basically like family. We all like to look good and nothing says that better than a clean haircut.When I moved to FL about 6 years ago, it was super important for me to find a good barber and was one of the first things I did. I tried a plethora of salons and cheap haircuttery chains along with visiting most of the barbers in the area.Allen is, by far, the best of them all.Ive been going back ever since my first visit and been seeing him for years now. Hes always friendly, extremely precise, pays attention to detail, and is pretty quick too. He has a level of skill and craft that most barbers simply lack which shows in his work, its always perfect and will be just how you envision it.

This was our first time having Allen cut my sons hair and he did a great job. Hes a really nice guy and obviously takes great pride in his work. Mom was thrilled with the cut and shes a tough one to please. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend him. Thanks for the great cut Allen. Well be back soon.

Allen not only delivers exceptional service and skill, but at an incredible value. He takes the time to listen to his clients to ensure he can deliver the vision they have for their hair. The review below by Cass Hermann is completely false beside the time she showed up!I was in the chair when she showed up at 4:35 pm and my appointment was for 4:30 pm. I get a high top fade and facial beard work, it takes well over 30 mins if you want it done right and clean. Ive been a faithful customer of Allens for awhile now since he does a great job.When the lady came in she asked for his services while I was getting a hair cut. Allen was polite and said yes he could do it but not today becuase I was his last person and the shop closes at 5pm and he had to be somewhere. She insisted about getting her cut. She then gave her speech about how she works in the service industry. He was still polite and said sorry he cant. Then she said the door says walk up were welcomed and he said if another barber was there at the time it wouldnt be an issue.She then ask for his name and he gave it to her, as she was about to leave she said is it because Im a woman? Allen said no I have to be somewhere after 5pm.He was the only barber at the shop when this happened. Also he had to pick up his daughter after 5pm but thats none of her business to know.

I was able to get an appointment right a way . The female barber was very good .

I am very pleased with my haircut. Allen took the time to understand what I was looking for and delivered. I went with a fade on the sides and a beard trim. He has excellent attention to detail.I felt like my money was well spent here and I will definitely be coming back.

Man where do I begin? New to the city and needed a nice yet professional cut so I Googled barber shops to come across this place. After reading everyones positive reviews, I thought Id give him a shot and boy are the reviews accurate! Not only was he and the atmosphere friendly, but he took his time to understand how I wanted my hairstyle and did it exactly the way I wanted. The price posted says 18$ for a mans haircut but they charge what they want based on your address. If you live in a nice area the price goes up. I will pay what is advertised not the price you make up based on my socio-economic status. Only visit this place if you don’t mind being ripped off.

I just moved to Bradenton a few months ago. During this time, I was having trouble looking for a good barber. I went to Cutz by Allen today and I got to say I was impressed. And this is coming from a New York native, Allen definitely knows what he is doing. I recommend everyone to check his place out.

Allen is passionate about hair. My Hair line is naturally uneven and my beard is minimal, but he worked with it and made me look good. My girlfriend loved it.

First damn fine haircut i have had in about a year. Been trying to find a place with some talent, looks like ive got my place.

I arrived at 435, they refused service to me because they said they closed at 5? I have an undercut, Ive had this for years and every time I get it trimmed up it takes maybe 15 mins at most. Allen is very unprofessional, I also work in the service industry. I understand it is frustrating when someone walks in a few minutes before close but almost a half hour is ridiculous. You need to show all your customers the same level of respect and maybe have some more pride for your profession. I do not reccomend solely based on your attitude and unprofessionalism.

Let me just say that I havent had a professional hair-cut since I was a teenager. In the middle of a show, I needed professional help to make me look like a person again instead of a walking ball of hair.I came here, it was a super professional atmosphere, really cool shop, really nice people. I signed in and was getting a cut in less than a minute. I didnt need much, just a clean-up. So it didnt take too long, but it was still great.After this production is over, I plan on going back to cut the rest of my hair off haha.

Allen is a angel sent down from heaven, I have gotten my haircuts from IMG, and other places before but nothing like him. Ive been having white people cut my hair but the first time I go to a black barber, holy damn Ive never looked so clean. I kid you not he spent his time perfecting my hair. He treated my hair as if it were a canvas and the clippers were his paint brush. Again I will never go to a white barber after this.

Im not from florida but Im staying here for a couple months and I needed a trim so I decided to try a local barbershop and what I got was above and beyond my expectations. The attention to detail is astonishing, I got a hair and beard trim and the price was fair and justified by the outstanding skill to revive my style. Even with a high/receiting hairline, these guys can hook you up. Jose fixed me up real good, I went from zero to hero in about a half hour. I usually dont review places but I was more than pleased with the Art these guys create and I HIGHLY reccomend coming here, you will not regret it... I know Ill definately be coming back before I leave Florida!
