Got our son his first haircut today and he wanted no part of it! The woman who cut his hair was extremely patient and had all sorts of tricks up her sleeve to help calm him down. Was a pretty quick in and out as well. Will definitely be going back!

The woman didn’t do anything like I asked. I was so upset. Marcy was very nice but she really shouldn’t cut hair. I’m SO upset with how my kids hair turned out. I paid $40 for these horrible cuts. I can say that I will never go here again after trying it twice. The first time was horrible as well but I do give places second chances and this time around just didn’t work out either. I will look for a barber or go back to Dudes N Divas because it’s worth the drive and the money.

Ray, the Barber, was incredibly wonderful with my son who was always scared to get a haircut. He was very patient and accommodating to our requests. Although my son cried when I sat him down on the chair because he was scared, he felt more comfortable sitting on my lap and Ray was completely fine with that. Ray was very relaxed and calm towards my son. He shared his calm to my son instead of adding more stress or anxiety to him. He made it work and my son was happier and stopped crying. We have been to a lot of kids salons and our experience with Ray was by far the best. We will definitely come back and recommend this place!

Ana was amazing with our 17 month old for his very first haircut! She was so sweet and attentive with him. We absolutely loved the interior of Sharkeys, so colorful ad fun for kids. We drove 30 minutes to get there and will keep coming back for many years to come! Just cant say enough wonderful things! Truly a wonderful experience!

My daughters haircuts were very uneven. They offered to fix them, but I was too nervous to have anyone touch their hair. I requested a refund and no one is responding.

Ana A. Is Always so good and patient with my kids, she talks to them and she works quickly when my now 2 yr old son starts to cry... it was my sons birthday and she sang to him.. and the other associate put a birthday song on the stereo for him.. very sweet. Definitely reccomend her.

I DO NOT Recommend! For a childrens place you would expect them to be kind and patient. Ana talked with an attitude to my daughter while she painted her nails. My daughter chose the color pink and then said she wanted purple Ana was rude when asking what color she wanted and even had her leg shaking the whole time she was deciding. When i arrived home and my nieces hair dried i noticed it was uneven. The worst part was it was completely empty we were the only ones there. If you do chose to go i would try scheduling with someone other then Ana.

I made an appointment for my 1 year old to have his first haircut at Sharkeys. We wanted his first cut to be as easy as possible and opted for a kids salon (rather than a local salon) and traveled about 40 minutes from our home to go to Sharkeys. When we arrived, the stylist was not there and we were told by the receptionist that the stylist wouldnt be there for another hour. Obviously, we werent going to wait around for an hour with a 1 year old. It was completely unprofessional. Later in the day, I received a call offering a free haircut if we return. Thus, the 2 stars rather than 1. We will not be returning because we can not risk wasting our time like that again.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Today I took my nephew Connor to get a haircut with Anna. Haircuts have been a nerve wracking experience for everyone, especially for Connor. Connor is the best little boy, but he has special needs that can make haircuts scary and mean a lot of sensory overload. But this morning was the most wonderful hair appointment hes had yet - Anna was magical! She was so patient with Connor and let him play with whatever he needed to to remain calm. She talked so kindly to him and was able to help us keep him happy the whole time. And she gave him the most perfect haircut hes ever had! Connor was so excited when we were finished, he marched around the rest of the day with his Sharkeys balloon and a big smile on his face. I was truly amazed and we are so thankful to have Anna as his new stylist. We hope she is at Sharkeys for a long time! Thank you Anna!

I have searched for a child specialized haircut place due to awful experiences with my 1.5 year old and I thankfully found Sharkeys!! Today we made a special hour and half trip to visit for the first time! My son was in LOVE with the police car and sirens. It was so cute! I was so pleased with his haircut! Megan St. Jacques took care of us and I appreciate her patience and how she cared for my son! She was amazing and very sweet!! This has been the best experience by far with him getting haircuts!! Looking forward to the next visit. I left a comment on the website but I forgot to mention the woman at the receptionist desk, she was very friendly also and welcoming to us!! Thank you for the great experience today and the balloon that he was given literally made his day!!

My grandson got his first haircut here and it was great! They have various cars for the kids to sit on while getting their cut. He chose the race car and it even had sound buttons here could push! They were very accommodating, allowing both of his grandmothers as well as his parents so we could all get pictures and enjoy the experience with him and gave us a certificate with his name, date, picture & lock of hair thats worthy of a frame! I didnt get the name of the gentleman that did his haircut but he was great! He did an amazing job and thats no easy task when cutting a 20 months old hair! Would definitely recommend here for any child!

Took my daughter during this whole Covid-19 pandemic ... the extra steps they have taken to ensure everyones safety within the building was so refreshing and reassuring! ... Also, the haircut and nail makeover was perfect, as expected due to other reviews 😊

Ana cut my sons hair today. He is 2 so I was so worried he would not sit still, but she was able to cut his hair quickly, made it fun and had lots of laughs with him during the session. I will be back!+

Had my 8 year old daughter birthday party here and it was just fantastic. The girls had a great time. The staff were very attentive and on point to make sure every girl had a fun night. Nothing but 5+ stars from me. This is truly a gem that i have found and my son and I will definitely be back. This place is amazing. Its hard to find good people who can do a good job at that too... My son sat still while having his haircut which is a problem at times for my husband but he was relaxed and enjoyed the car seats... This place feels like family to me and family is important. Ana was AMAZING!! I highly recommend, she did a fantastic job on my daughters curls. It was my daughters first haircut and we were nervous! She went above and beyond to make it a good experience. She made my princess feel like a REAL princess!

I have had my sons hair cut here twice. The first time was a pleasant experience, this time on 9/27 not so much. The lady penny who cut my sons hair today was less than patient with a two year old and let it reflect in her work. Regardless of the quality of the hair cut, under no circumstances should the hair stylist cutting children’s hair smell like cigarettes and a brewery. We will not be returning to this business for further hair cuts. Absolutely disgusted

For where you are.. they do a good cut on our boys. They do a decent fade but not perfectly. They wont botch your kids hair but it wont be the best cut ever.

Came in at 4:45 staff was focused on leaving and not our service. Unprofessional dress and were finishing drying their hair behind the counter. Shame that this place cant keep consistent service. I wonder if management went home early today.

Amazing, clean facility with friendly, relaxed and personable staff. They were very accommodating to my son who historically HATES haircuts. Cynthia took her time and was very patient with us. This was our very first successful haircut - he even tolerated clippers!! We will definitely be back!

This place is perfect for kids. Our son doesnt really like the hair cut bit at all. He has some issues with the noises and touching. But these professionals understood and made it an easy task. Several seats are cars instead of stools and each station vones with a tv for them to watch or play video games. Great place and look forward to coming back again.

Excellent place to bring the little ones. My 3 year old son has never liked getting his hair cut and this is the first place he actually enjoyed. Not a single tear was shed, only smiles. The staff are friendly and gave him a balloon and a lollipop.

Once upon a time there was a desperate mom at home with her shaggy haired son.Haircuts were a pain in the ass and she couldnt help but think there must be a better way to get a trim or style for her high energy spunky little man.She tried everything from bribing him to sit still to holding his head... but after bad haircuts and rude employees at other places she stumbled upon Sharkeys Cuts for Kids.Shocked and in awe, her son sat down and was still! He walked away with one of the best haircuts the mom had ever seen!Things that make this place AWESOME:They have video games available to keep the childs attention so they sit still.There are special car seats for smaller children to get them excited about getting their haircuts.They do parties in the back with nails and dress-up.The staff is SO patient! Each and every one of them is great with kids.They have both barbers and stylists.I could go on and on but the bottom line is, this saved my life as far as haircuts go. Ray the barber has earned a loyal customer. He even remembered my son and what his haircut was.

Supposed to be a place where kids feel comfortable getting their haircut. Made a appointment with Ray we was running late called he said it was ok. Showed up and Ray was in a chair stayed there and never helped us. Ana said she was cutting his hair and she was horrible with my son. Had a attitude and was rough his first haircut didnt go very well had my son all upset where he throwing up. My son left with hair all over him and now itching because she didnt do her job very well. Told her we wanted to keep his hair and she gave us two curls. When we asked for more hair Ana and Ray both gave us attitude. Worst experience ever will never go back there This place isnt kid friendly and they rush you in and out and wonder why they dont get a tip. Ray and Ana both need a attitude adjustment around kids and more of a kid friendly personality.

Wonderful idea for young kids who may be scared to get their hair clipped. The staff is very kind and patient with the each customer and the kids can play games while they get their hair cut. Pretty nifty. The only downfall is the price is a bit much compared to simpilar quality cut at other locations. But you are not paying for the cut as much as you are the experience for you kids.
