Cindy did my nails. this is literally day 2 of work.. it’s the paint chipping on day 2, bad quality, thick acrylic, bulky shaped, uneven nails for me and don’t get me started on my toes. I paid 125 for my nails and toes. duration: 3 1/2 hrs.. let’s just say i’m never going back.

Stopped in to get a gel manicure removed. Really cute interior, very clean and new! Cindy was wonderful! She removed my nail polish for me and was very pleasant to talk to during the process. Will definitely be going back in the future!

I went to this salon 06-24-2019. This place was an all around horrible experience. The customer service was terrible. One of my nails was broken in half so it needed to be removed and for a new tip to be put on. The nail tech proceeded to rip off the remainder of my nail even though I told her that it was sore underneath and I was experiencing pain so I would like it to be soaked off. She did not listen and went on to do what she wanted to do. In addition, the outcome of my nails was unacceptable. From the paint job to the shaping I was very disappointed. I will not be returning. I would need a video to be able to show how bad the nails are and the difference between the shape of both hands. They also charge for cutting your nails down. Lastly, before I left I noticed that the individual who was doing my nails was not one of the individuals that had a license displayed on the wall and it was clear that she needed more training. Side note: They are only receiving one start because it would not allow me to post with out selecting a star if I could they wouldnt get one.

This review is for the previous owner Tina:After reading the poor reviews, I felt compelled to post a truthful message. Mavana Nails is one of the best nail shops in the Bowie area. I state that with sincere honesty because I have tried them all. The technician of choice for me is Tina and she is absolutely AMAZING!! I love how she treats all her customers and make everyone feel special. Her craft is impeccable and your walk away looking your best! I only get a pedicure because I am a nail bitter. Never ever did they try to push me to get my nails done. Do they ask if you want them done? Of course, this is their business. However, they do respect your answer. I hope this urge folks to give them an honest try and see for yourself!

I very much enjoy this place. I stumbled upon it when my nail salon was too busy. Everyone is very nice and the managers will make sure you’re satisfied before leaving. When it is slow they’ll even have two nail techs working on me. The pedicure chairs have charging ports. There’s a huge selection of colors; regular, gel and powder. They now have the ability to do ombré. This is my favorite hidden nail gem of Bowie.The bathroom is in the back but it’s decent for the location. I’ve never been waxed there but other customers seem to be satisfied when leaving.

Only word I have for this place is super awesome atmosphere and experience was is just great Cindy and Jessica are best we will be going back in two week

Aside from a woman in the salon arguing with my nail technician the entire time, my experience wasn’t bad. Everyone was super nice and were willing to work with my picky choosing. The gentleman who did my nails did an EXCELLENT job but the prices are a little high for a hole in the wall lol. Aesthetic aside, if they bring their prices down a touch, I’d definitely consider becoming a regular here. Thanks to everyone who helped get my nails perfect 💜 the picture doesn’t do them justice

Clean relaxing attentive and positive attitudes. Took a chance despite some bad reviews. Glad I did. It was a little more than some other area salons, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a good experience.

They charged me for a nail polish change, even though they never removed any nail polish off of me...which was an extra 10 dollars, a lady had an infected finger and didnt wear gloves with another client im-🤢 dont come here. They are nice but they do not listen, they dont buy new nail files, and they almost rushed me. Never coming again. Save money and dont come here ladies!

Great new salon! The salon is clean, neat and modern. My pedicure was fast and looks great. Ill be back soon

I absolutely love this place.! It is so quiet and relaxing but still has a modern feel. I have been to 2 different people and they have both been great.! This is becoming my regular nail salon.

Am sorry that I gave them five stars they laugh at my feet and did not do my Toes right I had to go to nother nail shop and they did it very dam good

Do not come here!!! Very inconsistent. The first time was okay the second was horrible. I asked for a manager and the response was we dont have a manager They filed my toe nails way too short and it was very embarrassing. Avoid if you can!

I got a gel manicure done this week and it was amazing. I would love to visit this place again.

I went in for a basic soak off to give my nails a break. Somehow was courted into the SNS technique. Tried it and was told they would not break...within a week, not only did the clear begin to chip but also the actual nail. $60 and I remind myself that I should had stuck with the original soak off! 😩Nice employees but unfortunaley, I won’t be returning.

The shop is new and quaint. I received a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was okay, but not thorough. Once we got to the gel manicure it was awful. I had to remind him to be gentle on my cuticles in which the older guy who was doing my nails completely messed up. My gel polish started chipping in less than a week. The other kicker is they were advertising 20% off one service, but when they rung me up they didnt take the 20% off. I asked them about it and he said oh we do next time when you come back. I will never go back there again and I suggest you dont waste your time.

Clean, relaxing, and no wait. They took their time and did a great job on my mani and pedi. Ill definitely go back.

The pedicure seating is awful very uncomfortable not a massage chair, and they try to get you to get extra services - Technician actually asked me to tell her the reason why I didn’t want to get my nails done while I was getting my pedicure after I told her 2 times “No thank you I’m ok just want a pedicure today” ...and OMG I was overcharged- my card was debited $60 for a $45 service- pedicure and manicure for my school age daughter and my daughter’s nails were not filed evenly -her thumb nail was visibly croaked, when I asked nicely for them to please correct it, I was given thee worst attitude and some other tech just filed her nail with the wet polish on it and walked away, leaving her nail messy looking for her first day back to school. To make matters worst they also refused to refund me the difference of their I believe intentional overcharge on my card- said they didn’t have cash to refund me instead I was given a $10 discount slip off for the next visit, needless to say I will NEVER go there again! Very displeased with the services, worst experience. Don’t give this place your business it’s better salons in the area with better services.

Ok job but very pricy for basic stuff. A fill is $45. That is way more than any other salon I have been to around here. I will not go back there due to the $$. I will go somewhere else where the prices are more reasonable.

I had the best mani and pedi today (thanks Tina!)! Mavana Nails is a new salon in Bowie, Md. This place is clean, fresh, and inviting.

I called and scheduled a appointment for a pedicure. I arrived 5 minutes before and still waited 40 minutes before I got fed up and left. They did not explain that they were running behind or attempt to provide me a service when I said I was leaving. I’m extremely frustrated by this experience.

This place too expensive, and tried to up-sell while doing a terrible job at the requested service. I went in for SNS manicure. The woman tried to use dirty tools dug out of her drawer. After requesting a clean packet of tools and was told, its ok, I will use this. I insisted, she obliged. During the manicures, she worked one hand at a time and put an excessive number of coats. Several times, I asked her not to put on any more coats, I was again told, its ok, its not thick. Frustrated, I asked her to remove what she did, another woman came over and told me, its ok, its not thick. This place is definitely where Jedis who failed training go to work. Living out of town and with a time constraint, she finished the manicure. Definitely not worth it. However, the gentleman who did my mothers manicure was great and gave her exactly what she wanted without argument. If you go here, go to the guy.

The worst nail Place EVER!!!! WOULD NEVER CALL THIS PLACE A SALON...this place by far is the most unprofessional place. I know why it was empty on a Saturday when it was 75 degrees outside.

Like someone else said down here, they have very inconsistent work. The first two times I went in an older female did my nails and they were decent enough for me to come back but then the third time I went in...they were laughably terrible. Im not one to complain but I did and he told me they were fine so I resigned myself to whatever he was going to do. I never expected for the nails to turn out THAT bad considering it was a $60 full set. The nail tech didnt even do a good job painting the nails. The acrylic was so thick and the gel polish so lumpy. At that point I just wanted to pay and leave bc I was angry. The only good thing I can say is that the employees are very kind (maybe thats why I didnt cause a scene) but Im never going here again.

It was the worst place ever and I will never go back there my nails were very thick and ugly they gave me a new girl and they were crowded around her and watching her the whole time and correcting her it was soooooo bad it was crazy you should not come here it is horrible
