I think I perhaps did something to offend the owner, Jenny Nguyen. However I am not quite sure what it was that I did. She did my nails in silence, like she was in a church. When I asked if she thought I need a cleanup on my eyebrows, she said with an annoyed voice, its your choice! In the past she has always been friendly, even joyful. I got bad vibes from the whole experience and thought perhaps she does not want me to come back. I kindly paid my $95 and left feeling just gross. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing and positive experience. When I left, i felt like I needed to take a shower to wash off her energy. I will truly mourn the loss of this nail salon, they are typically good with customer service. I guess their business must be doing great that they can treat customers like trash. FYI: got a pedicure, fill-in w/gel, and my eyebrows waxed. It was $89, but I tipped.

I like Jessica who did my pedicure she was a jewel. She was not only talented, but a breath of fresh air in her field. I like the decor, quiet music, it is always clean. I want to give this salon a five but I could not. What I didn’t like is something new with their policy on card payments, customers would be charged a fee. The reason Allure gives was to keep prices down for customers. The prices had already increased at Allure Spa Salon recently and not just there but everywhere else and customers, to me, are penalized. I would have loved a pre-warning before my pedicure about the change then I could have gone the five minute ride home to get the money to avoid the extra fee. However to be fair there is a sign posted below the cashiers wall. It sits low. BUT it’s a principle now. Personally I have to re-evaluate the cost for my well being to doing spa services on myself. At least make me think I’m not responsible to incur the increased cost for running a business. I don’t want the burden of paying a card fee. I just try to avoid card fees, if I have to use it like I had to in this case BECAUSE I left my cash by mistake at home AND it really is rare that I carry cash at all these days. Perhaps including the warning in the check-in process might help. Then lo and behold I go next door to get a bite to eat and there they only take cards and NO CASH.

This is the third time that I have gone to this nail salon and my nails don’t last more than a week. It’s going on a week and a few days and two of my nails have broken in half. They do their nails entirely too thin! The nails are definitely not worth the price. I’ve been struggling to find a good nail salon in Bowie that’s worth the price.

I had a great experience and would highly recommend this place. They were friendly, professional, and did an excellent job on my nails!They are pricey, but it matches the quality of work. Someone else mentioned in their review that this nail spa doesnt do regular manicures. That is not accurate. I came with 2 other ladies and one received a regular mani (without gel).

Absolutely Fabulous! My tech did an awesome job! He was fast too and very concerned when he was cutting nails. I got a Pedicure, he asked if I was comfortable and also advised me on type of polish.Such a professional, very clean and comfortable place too, thats always a concern of mine. I was very pleased, look no further, certainly worth the drive.

Went on a weekend and requested for designs on a gel maincure. I showed the technician a picture of the designs I wanted and she had said she was able to do it. And she did it. I was completely mesmerized by her skills and how she took her time to do her designs. She was able to communicate with me better than some of the other nail techs I had gone to from previous visits. I asked for her name so I could make an appointment with her for next time and was surprised she had shared the same names as me. Her name is Jessica and she is AMAZING at doing designs. She is off Thursdays but is here every day so ladies yall gotta book with her for designs! I dont think she does acrylics yet but when she does I bet its gonna be hard to see her! Great place! Great job Jess! Will come back again to do a gel manicure and pedicure with designs!!!!

First time visit (went to Bowie location): got gel manicure since my nails were short due to the last place I went to. There wasnt much to do but put a couple of coats of polish (they dont do mani w regular polish), this cost $37, very pricey. Went on a Fri afternoon, they were very busy, and very rude, lacking customer service skills. They dont communicate well and not very welcoming, but my nail tech, Lisa, was friendly.

Horrible service! I’m not one to write reviews or yet alone complain but the fact they told me my wait will be 25 min and that quickly turned into 1:30 and when I asked, they said only certain people do acrylic fills. I got up and left! They should warn people before having them wait and waist time.

Dr. Is has a good bedside manner. You can feel very comfortable talking to him about anything. This is something I look for in a family doctor.

Love this place and how fast they always attend me! I went in wanting a specific design on my nails and they more than delivered I am obsessed! Definitely recommend!

I came in and asked for a fill in . Anybody who has been getting their nails done ,Know this means removing the existing color reshaping and filling in the space that has been out grown and repainted, I was charged $22.00 for them to fill in the space that has out grown and to polish... thats it .They were trying to apply gel polish on top of my color I had already had on. The guy who tried to do my nails didnt know how to explain to me why he was doing what I didnt ask him to do. The other guy comes in and tells me I must remove my already filled nails (that the first guy did )in order to remove the color and start fresh with a new set and I would have to pay for the fill in and a whole new set. Never have I heard this type of service. If everything was explained correctly and without the 2nd mans attitude I wouldve gladly gotten them soaked off and start fresh. Now Im walking around like this . Oh and BTW this was my first visit! Definitely not returning!!

I’ve been going to this salon since they’ve opened at that location. The past few visits has been distasteful mainly due to the mangers attitude. They’re greedy and will over charge for anything they can. I got a full acrylic set with no polish and was charged $42...the math doesn’t match their listed prices but due to previous experiences I just paid and left. I’m never going back.**The manager(or owner) was the one who did my set and when he was telling me the price as I was looking at their service menu by his body language I could tell he knew what he doing and was anxious anticipating me to question the price.

Sky was super great! He did the “Volcano” pedicure and my feet are so soft. He also had super customer service and I’m foodie he referred me to some nice restaurants in the DMV.

Been thrice, twice for a pedi and once for a full set. Pretty good customer service. The thing I really like is that all three techs took great care of my hands and feet and knew what they were doing. This is definitely my new spot!

I have been to numerous nail salons in Bowie, but this by far the best nail salon I have been to. I got french gel in February, but got busy with work and didnt have time to get a fill and the Polish lasted 4 weeks and my tips never lifted. 👀 (I seriously couldnt believe it.) Hubby goes with me for pedicure and massage and always says its a relaxing and pleasant experience. I have never been dissatisfied with my nails, treatment, or experience. This is the only place that I will go to get my nails done. They can get busy so try to make an appointment. Also no card tipping so bring cash or you can get money from their ATM. Also, get the Volcano Pedicure. (SO DAMN RELAXING) From the hot oil massage.

My friend and I went to this salon today and it was not a good experience. I came into the salon asking for coffin shape acrylics but once I sat down I decided I wanted square. I told my technician that I changed my mind and this was before he started to file down the original nail tip and he proceeded to say why don’t we try coffin and see how that looks. he ignored what I wanted and proceeded to do what he wanted the nails came out uneven and shaped weirdly. my friend had a picture of the set she wanted and showed her technician who said they’d be able to do something like it. The nail technician she had seemed inexperienced and was asking other technicians in the salon what to do for some aspects regarding her set. we had to decide on a base color for the nail and the two technicians working on my friends set had an attitude because she didn’t know which base color to choose. we were both shocked at how unprofessional it was of them to start giving us attitude because we were unsure of what color would look best and when we asked what they thought they would not give their own opinion they were not trying to help steer us to another color. we will not be back and i highly would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Found a new nail spot I love. Pricing pretty standard, but plenty of mail color/design options. I get gel acrylics/fills and they actually last as long as they are supposed to. Super cleanly, great customer service and I love love love my nails. Appointment only but come here you won’t regret it

Belinda did a horrible job on my nails. I asked for square she couldn’t do that correctly so I opted for coffin. Horrible mistake coffin shape is even worse and also my gel polish chipped that same night. She even had the nerve to laugh and tell me she doesn’t know what shape that is after she did it! She also tells me I need to get a full set for square to come out nice, lmao never in all of my years has a tech had trouble shaping my nails square because it wasn’t a new set. The salon has a nice decor and ambience but the service was horrible. It’s only been 4 days, my nails have no shape and polish chipped.

I have been going to Allure for sometime now. It is close to where I live and the environment is very relaxing even on busier days. The owner has done my nails, but this time Minh did my nail and I am still happy. He did an excellent job laying the acrylic. Ive gotten so many compliments and they have survived me reorganizing my room.

I’ve been here twice, after moving to Largo from Woodbridge I have found it difficult to find a nail salon I like. I LOVE this place the location isn’t the easiest to get to but the establishment is gorgeous and well set up. I just wish the nail techs work was consistent throughout. Although my first visit was great, my S&S manicure only last a week before my nail started separating from the polish. I went back for a second try and got a different nail tech and my manicure is going on 3 weeks with no issue. Since no one wears name tags I’m not sure who to ask for if I want a specific person to do my nails, I’m going back today, hopefully I get long last out of these nails just as my previous visit.

Got gel on my natural nails and week ago its chipping smh. I called this week and was told that if they had to fix it Ill have to pay, it cost $37 why would I pay that so it can chip in less than a week no thanks. Go somewhere else best advice I can give. Wont be returning

I had the guy Nick he was kinda rude and rushed the whole experience. Constantly telling me to “relax my fingers” while not making the experience relaxing at all.

I’ve been getting my nails done for 25+ years and this is the best place I’ve found around!!! Elvis takes his time to make sure you are satisfied and you look beautiful before you leave!! I’m always happy when I leave!!

I went in on Saturday, 11/14/20, I got a full set and pedicure all totaling $90+. The nail tech struggled to put the nails on and couldn’t do the design, it was a white flower...another tech tried to help, she also couldn’t draw a plain white flower. After charging my card, she asks if she can do a different design. I left Unhappy, the design looked old and the nails were not sturdy. Three days later the nails started popping off. I went in today, 11/19/20 , to have them remove the nails and give me a full set...they said they would charge me another $50 for a new full set. I told them to take it all off and I will never go back. The manager talked over me and there was no concern for customer or integrity.

I was a little nervous going in because I’ve never had a good experience with Bowie nail salons. I was greeted with a happy voice , John did my pedicure and full set. I’ve been back twice since then. He is super attentive and gives one heck of a foot and leg rub! Price is about average and id definitely recommend!

This was my second visit and the girl who did my nails seemed like she had NO IDEA what she was doing!!! She literally cut down too low on one of my toes and now it’s sore. She also dug TOO DEEP on my big toe and caused it to bleed. The next day my toe is swollen. I call the store to speak to a manager and she acted like she didn’t even care. She asked me to come back in to prove it to her. I’ll never go back again.

DO NOT COME HERE! Service was terrible. Spent $151 dollars here on nails and got GEL and with in the first 2 DAYS! The polish completely came off!! You spend 20 dollars extra for gel and it comes all the way off! That’s ridiculous! I am from out of town so when I called 1(week) later she said there was nothing she could do! Just to come back and fix it when I live 5 hours away! Didn’t try to accommodate me in any way! Horrible horrible service! Spend your money where they appreciate you!

I told them this was for my wedding....these nails look so horrible. They aren’t even. They look like I already need a fill in because of how far off my cuticle the fill starts. It’s the one time my nails are supposed to look photographable and they don’t these are horrible.

I just move to Bowie and I was looking for nail salon one my friend recommended this places.. I like it , I like how they did my acrylynail they take the time but for nail dising not good and also some of the workers didn’t clean the working are after finish and sitting other customer.

Customer service sucks! Nail tech had poor communication skills. Also my pedicure polish looks terrible with a gritty looking texture, not shiny like it’s supposed to look. This was my second time giving this place a chance, will not come back ever again.

I have been going here for about 6 months now, and I love it! My nail tech Anna is AMAZING! She is super friendly and takes her time. She has done my nails and eyebrows and I have been satisfied with the results every time.

This nail salon is as good as it gets. I have never had poor service or an unfriendly nail technician here. The salon is so clean and bright. The service is consistently awesome. The prices are also very reasonable and they make sure you are satisfied when you leave. If you are looking for a salon in the Bowie area, I strongly recommend that you give Allure a try. I had Holly today and she was very sweet. I did the hot stone massage. She took her time and made sure the stones were never too hot. She did a great polish application. For a relaxing enjoying experience I would highly recommend!

Ill start with the positive. The young lady at the desk was warm and welcoming as well as the tech. However, the actual service provided was poor. I asked for the EXTREME SPA PEDICURE (40 min)Classic Pedicure, extreme sugar scrub, mask, hot towel, extended massage with hot oil and creamed butter. I may have spent 20-25 mins in the chair total. There was no massage on my legs (the products used were rubbed in), towels used for hot towel were not hot and the hot oil was not even warm. After polishing my toes, I had to show the tech were about a quarter of my big toe was not polished. The tech did take 5 dollars off and another tech, perhaps a manager, apologize and attempted to pat me on the back.Needless, to say I wont be back. Its unfortunate that people in jobs that service others do not provide equal, quality care and service to all. There were other people on the shop that appeared to be receiving quality service and their moneys worth. I have two pictures I would like to share but I can seems to add them. This salon has adequate parking. I called on a Saturday morning and they were able to schedule me for an appointment. When I arrived I didnt have to wait after I signed in. The salon was clean and from my perspective had good hygiene concerning their equipment and foot spas. They also offer wine, juice, or water while you get pampered. The wine is awful. I would recommend.

I have been going to Elvis for about a year and I still love the work that Elvis does. I went on 9/28/18 and was undecided what I wanted and he made a suggestion and promise me that I would love it. I am a regular customer of Vee at this salon. I called for an appointment and was surprised to hear there is a surcharge for Covid-19 recovery. Granted it’s just $5.00, but no other local salons (that I know of) is charging a surcharge and basically penalizing customers for their business loss due to a historic pandemic that is out of everyone’s control.It is absolutely absurd! Honestly, they should be thankful to be opened and building revenue again when other companies are folding during this time.There are MANY other salons to choose from. They are not the greatest and can be matched. The $5.00 is not the issue, it’s the principle.

Was a regular customer here. Brows every third week. Brows were good 70% of the time. I had gotten a gel polish here before and liked it. I came for my second one a few weeks later. I same in and asked for a gel polish the gentleman said “manicure?” I said gel polish please. He repeated “manicure?” I repeated gel polish. He told me where to sit and I chose a color. When I went to pay I was charged an extra $10 for a manicure and I explained I asked for polish only. They refused to understand my confusion as said I shouldn’t have let her soak my hand in water bc that was the extra manicure piece. I hadn’t known bc I had only had one weeks ago and I clearly repeated gel polish as my request 3 times to the gentleman. I will never return here. Quality was always so so but not is in a convenient location. Sadly customer service is pretty bad and rude upfront with any confusion. After coming for 2 years for brows and always tipping 50% you’d expect some decent customer service and understanding

Needed something quick for my daughter. A classic pedicure. Technician went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable. The service was exactly what was needed. Will go again for more of their extensive pedicure packages Which requires a longer time to stay. The classic pedicure works for someone looking to get in and out but with quality service.

I just moved to this area and was in search of a new nail salon. After reading majority of the reviews I gave this establishment a try. I was not impressed from the moment I walked in.Nice location, really nice decor and vibe. Unfortunately the team is not welcoming at all. The technician that worked on my nails said his name is Scott. (No one wears name badges). He was just unpleasant. When he was done, he literally just stood up beside his chair and looked ahead. I was very thrown off by this.This place has so much potential, it’s very unfortunate.My search continues.

I have yet to find someone here Im willing to stick with. They rush you and the work and some flat out just dont care about the work they do. They just want the money and on to the next.

Mediocre at best. The place is clean. Location is convenient. My pedicure was very basic and nothing to get me to come back. Extended spa pedicure s massage was not extended. Polish job wasnt crisp. They are very nice however I dont think Ill be back based on the quality of service. Im sorry. I wanted to love it based on locale but it didnt do it for me.

Been a patron since opening....for the past 6 or so visits I have experienced unfavorable service. I wrote about it before where I’ve been left at the pedicure bowl while the technician take their scheduled appointment, left me to wait for an available technician; or my service was rushed through because an appointment showed up. If you know you have a scheduled appointment and I have stated what services I desire; I would rather wait for someone who had time to give me the quality service I deserve. This was definitely my last visit today. I get full service with each visit (gel pedicure; SNS nail refill; eyebrows and top lip wax). If you do the math, it is quite significant and leave tips not only for the technician but also if someone else does the wax. Clearly I am not valued as a customer. I will take pleasure in seeking a reputable nail salon that treats its patron better than I have been these past few months.

This was my third time trying this salon (new to area). I had Ms. Belinda today and she was amazing. Very detailed and actually took her time and my nails came out perfect. Because of her Im definitely going to keep going to this nail salon.

This is my 4th visit and I have had great experiences each time. The staff is friendly and welcoming, attentive and a pleasure to work with. I have been able to have multiple services and each one has been very good. I am very happy this new establishment opened in Bowie market place. It is hard to find a nail establishment that is this clean and doesn’t smell like acetone when you walk through the doors. I highly recommend Allure if you want to receive excellent customer service and attention!

The staff was friendly and did a great job. The young lady suggested I get gel on my toes and I did. My pedicure is lasting like she suggested and it was dry immediately. They are a little pricey for gel but it was worth it in the end.

I really appreciate Minhs services. His character is of such that Ill pass over many salons to receive services from him. Hes conscious and careful not to drill too far down on your nail plate with the drill. Im sensitive to the touch and Ive never once had to ask him to be gentle when handling my hands during manicures. Hes awesome and humble.

I went for a hard gel fill in and a pedicure. The pedicure was great. But the fill in was done very poorly. I should have realized it would when I was send to two different people to get it done. If they didnt know how to do it or the person that usually does wasnt in, thats all they had to say. Within a day it was lifting and chipping. I went back for a refund and they refused. They preferred to fix it, but I wasnt going to sit there and let them mess up my nails again. I will NEVER return, they dont need my business.

The place is beautiful and clean. I’ve been there many times and I love the way Felicia works. She really pays attention to every detail and leaves my nails looking so beautiful and perfect.

This one Star is really for Mimi and my lack of a positive experience with her. She was nonchalant, didnt listen to the customer. was aggressive which resulted in me deciding to not spend my money with her. When I said she was a tad aggressive the person next to me nodded in agreement. I have had better service from other techs prior to this which went fine

My first time here and the place is amazing! Very cute, chic & welcoming. I was greeted at the door and was able to relax and soak for awhile before my pedicure! I left another salon to come here. I had to follow my girl Thi I absolutely love the pedicure chairs with the lights its so relaxing here. Definitely will be returning.

I love this place. Ive been going for 4 months now. They are open 7 days a week and Ive never seen anyone wait a long time before getting served. Its clean and they line the pedicure basins with plastic for each new customer instead of that spray and dirty rag regimen you see at some places. Their prices line up with most of the other spas in the area. My tech Tina is great with my SNS nails. Every color she suggests looks good on me and she is one of the few techs Ive found that shapes my nails the way I like. She even convinced me to let her do my brows once, and they came out great. I dont do reviews but thats how much I like this place.

I’ve had wonderful experience at this place since they opened. It’s very clean, the staff is extremely nice and attentive. The prices range for the types of services you want. You can splurge and be cost effective here, which I like.

I love this place!!!! There’s a girl named Felisa (not sure how to spell it yet) and she’s AWESOME! Very detailed and I love her work. Thorough and what not. The salon itself is new so I recently started going on a whim because it’s close to Bowie State University. It’s fancy and new looking on the inside and everyone seems like they do their job well even though I haven’t tried anyone else in the salon yet. My best friend got a basic pedicure from there and she loved whoever gave her the foot message. Reasonable prices for great work.

HORRIBLE DISRESPECTFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Typical Asian business taking the black dollar but not respecting the person behind it. I am sick and tired of these Asian businesses smiling in our face and spitting on our back when we walk away.This was my last straw, I’m going to invest in my own gel manicure set.Got my nails done 1 week ago by Elvis paid $65 for a set plus tip. I got the dip powder with tips.. within a week almost ALL of them lifted. One split my natural nail when I reached into my pocket.It hurt horribly and the pressure from a bandaid made it worse.I came in and his “cousin”approached me making accusations of me mishandling my nails.. The manager came and was even worse...They argued with me telling me it was my fault because I banged my hands etc. (all of them)AND OF COURSE, they created the perfect opportunity for me to get loud and be the “ghetto block woman “ that they wanted me to be... but I just left.I’m tired of being dependent on these types of establishments to do my nails... It’s the same story everywhere. You would think that Bowie would be a more dignified experience but the fact is they hate us but love our money.. simple as that.

The salon is beautiful, clean and relaxing. The technicians we had were great and made you feel comfortable. I have been searching for a while to find a good salon and believe I finally found it.

Amazing work and time

The Allure Nail Spa in Bowie is the worst place for my first visit. And the tech was talking about me because I told him I didnt like my nails that he did. He had to do them over.

Ive been twice in the past two weeks. Im from out of town and Allure is the type of salon Im used to going to in Houston! Great customer service and top notch work! Elvis and Anna were my techs when I visited and they were both a joy to work with! Ill more than likely be back next week before I leave.

Allure nails never disappoints! My mani-pedis are always gorgeous. The shop is clean, the technicians take their time, and their prices are some of the best in the area. Reit and Mimi are the best!
