I understand everyone has to learn somewhere but they can’t be charging $45 for something like this if your still learning. 2 of my nails are going to the side and I got gel polish which supposed to look nice and neat. I was there almost 2 hours for this. Only reason I didn’t make her do it all over is because I had to make it to work. I’ve been getting my nails done for over 10 years and this is by the far worst set I gotten since I could remember. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

To the contrary of the latest review, I was a little skeptical coming here. I’m glad I decided to anyway because June did her thaaanngg with my V French nails. She was very pleasant and knowledgable and also took her time and she now has a new client.

Decided to get a regular fill in with just a simple gel polish. They did a poor job. I asked for a simple line design and their technician didn’t even know how to do it. I would recommend going elsewhere.

This Star Nails location is 1,000 times better than the one located in Upper Marlboro. Honestly this place is just fine depending on who you get your nails done by. This is where I typically get my nails done and pretty much everyone is good at what they do. There is one tech named Tony, he always has a constant attitude and is the worst in regards to customer service; the first and last time I got them done by Tony, he cut me twice and complained about the shape&length I wanted my nails. Other than that, yes some of the techs tend to be on their phones, but at least every time I walk out I’m satisfied with my nails.(with the one exception when Tony did my nails)

I was there last week and I have to say I love my nail tech, Pebbles. She was awesome! She was very detailed and gentle. My sister was with Susan I believe her name was and she loved her as well. We had my sisters wedding that day and they made sure we left happy. :) I will definitely be back for Pebbles work!

My nail broke the same day

NO THANK YOU! I used to frequent this salon but will no longer be going back. I got my eyebrows done for the first time and my initial appointment was great. HOWEVER, the next appointment left me with CONJUNCTIVITIS- NEVER AGAIN. NASTY

I have been searching for a good nail tech for a while and found a great one in Crystal! She is friendly, her station is clean, and she is creative (for those of us that can never make up our minds). Go see her, you will not be disappointed!!

After 9 different nail salons, I FINALLY found a good one. Tony is my go-to, even though his wife Mai has a very bad attitude... so I will not talk to her under any circumstances. He provides exceptional service, is always professional, and Im always complimented about my nails from other people. Reasonably priced and hes quick, I love this place!

I went here last Tuesday 6/11/19 for a full set of acrylics with gel polish, by Friday 6/15/19 my nails were already falling off and they were all off completely by Saturday 6/16/19. I am really disappointed because they looked really nice and they cost $50, I expected them to last at least two weeks. I wasnt even doing anything with my nails besides typing at work, I have no idea why they came off so easily and so quickly. I definitely do not recommend coming here when they wont even last.

I I love going to Star nails I always get seen at my appointed time theyre friendly the prices are very reasonable. I love it been going there for over 4 years and if youre not satisfied with your nails they do not mind redoing them cant get any better than that!

Very good service, great time, great quality. Everyone is helpful, I go to Crystal but everyone is accommodating and helpful. Clean, quick, work is great. Very pleased

I love all of the staff there. It’s was the first place that I got my nails done and I absolutely loved it. My nails stay on for a month and when I get my toenails done, they last for 3 weeks. I’ve tried going to different nail salons but all of them I just don’t find good. I went to Zen Spa once and my nail broke the next day. I would recommend Colleen, Kayla, and Tina. I find they really really good.

I have been looking for a nail place that does good work with reasonable prices for a long time , and I think I finally found one . today , I went there for the first time . As I was waiting , I was watching each nail tech ... how they interact with their customers and their actual work . I had my eye on one of them and by chance , I got who I wanted . Her name was CRYSTAL and she was the best nail tech I had in a while . Crystal was , patient , focused and very nice . It was obvious she loved what she did for a living and it paid off because my nails came out very beautiful . I love my nails . She did an amazing job and I will definitely will be coming back to this salon , just to keep getting her excellent customer service and beautiful work . THANK YOU again !

A lot of the technicians dont do a very good job and they work very slow. Tina is the best one, I try to make all my appts with her

I got a pedicure which was professionally done. Unfortunately, I arrived 3 minutes after they opened and none of the technicians were there. The owner was there and allowed us to sign in but the techs didnt arrive until 20-30 minutes later.

Had just done my eyebrows and they were done poorly. The lady had messed up and asked another man to come and help her. He had made it worse and almost half of my eyebrow is gone. They showed me the mirror and I told them they messed it up. The lady had begun laughing. This place is terrible service and is disrespectful. Never again

Been going to Star Nails for about 20 years. I think I was there the week they opened. Tina is a great nail tech. All the people there are very friendly.

I rarely visit this location (its the closest to my home) and it seems that the customers that they do have, have made them feel they do great nails and they do not. Tony, horribly rude and nasty. His ego seems to have been stroked too hard. He was cool until he felt he was needed. Ive had to get my nails shaped three separate times before they were the shape I requested and was told he could do it. The attitude must match the work and it doesnt here. Horribly phone interactions and Im not giving my money to Star Nails anymore. But they arent desperate which explains why their mediocre work is acceptable. Go elsewhere.

I was a walk-in customer and rudely turned away. I walked in an employee was standing at the desk flipping through the appointment book. She barely made eye contact with me when I asked if I could get a pedicure. She said something to the other employees in her native language and rudely says to me No. She didnt even take the time to see if would like to come at a different day/time. If I could leave a review with no stars that would have been my rating for Star Nails. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I am relatively new to the area so I have been making my way around the town trying to find my new nail tech/s. I stumbled across Star Nails and I must admit upon initial review I was skeptical. To a pleasing surprise I was very impressed with the outcome of nails. I am a Native New Yorker so it goes without saying that the finished product of any beauty service I receive must be top notch. I have not received service from everyone here but I will tell you that Tony (owner & Lead Tech), Mye (owner & Lead Tech), Mike (Tech), & Crystal (Tech) are phenomenol!Although, I have not been serviced by all the Techs there I will say that the energy is good, when servicing a customer the staff is pleasant and their pricing is on point.Unfortunately I did receive subpar service from one Tech Bill, and although it may not have been intentional the time and attention he should have paid to my nails and feet he did not. This resulted in me having to return less then 24hrs from the time he completed my service. That experience warranted the 4 stars.I recommend this place you will be pleased!Dymond

I was in this shop with my daughter today waiting while she got her nails filled in. I was going to get my nails done too, however, we did not make appointments and it would have taken more time than I had. Not their fault. However, this gave me an opportunity to take a good look at the shop. Its not dirtiest shop that I have come across, but it is far from the cleanest. My biggest complaint is regarding the technician named Julia. While she worked on my daughters nails, she talked on her cell phone over 10 minutes. This is extremely dangerous while using the grinding tools that are used. I will mention that my daughter (16yrs) was frustrated as well. But, she is satisfied with her nails, so we just decided not to return.

Smells funny, went there for a pedicure. Service was okay. Then went back because its close to my house and convenient but they lock their doors 25 minutes before the scheduled close time. I wont be going back.

I work down the street for about 3 years and decided to go to the nail salon by my job one day... i asked for a fill in and two nails needed to replacement...he only didn’t one and “fixed” the other I ask him why didn’t he just replace the both nails??? However the next week I’m back because the nails he fixed came right off... the next week after that I thought I’ll try them with pedicures... I came in no greeting, no one asked what I was getting or anything... then im waiting for 40 minutes.. another customers comes in and they talk to her ask her what she wants and she go back to get her pedicure then till me one moment she had a appointment, so five minutes later I’m in the chair and they just have my feet soaking for 30 minutes, don’t ever come here, they have the worst customer service ever,

Terrible Terrible Terrible. I tried this place for a pedicure and I feel like I never had a pedicure. I definitely won’t be back!

The first time I gotMy nails done there it was ok , even though the lady wasnt paying attention the whole time she did a nice job , the last two times I went were awful , they rush right throw your nails and they dont pay attention got my nails done there for a wedding and it didnt even last a month before I had to do it 2weeks later for my graduation and they started falling off 3 days after .Also they are not sure at all of their prices .. They give me different prices each time I go thereIf your a kid I would NOT recommend you going there , they tell u what should be done on your nails as if they knew what you wanted ,Your practically taken advantage ofBut this was my experience all and all other than that the staff is very nice .

The service wasnt on par to the money I paid. $22:00 for a pedicure, and my feet wasnt scrubbed properly. Not Going Back
