My husband and I both went in for our first haircuts since Covid started a year and a half ago. We’ve been very cautious since we have a young child who cannot be vaccinated yet and chose the salon based on the ability to get a haircut outside in the garden. It was a wonderful experience all around! We felt entirely comfortable with the safety measures, the garden is beautiful and peaceful, and we both love our haircuts from David. We will definitely be going back!

I love On Broadway- I’ve been to a few different salons in the area and out, and this one is my favorite on all accounts! Finally found my salon :) Everyone is friendly, helpful, and polite. The location is awesome and the salon itself is clean, beautiful and relaxing. There’s a well kept garden where you can have your hair done outside if you prefer, and the decor inside is adorable. Kai does my hair, and he’s gotten my tough to color hair, to the blonde color I’ve always wanted, and does the perfect cut as well. He’s an awesome listener and does a thoughtful, careful job on my hair each and every time. I always leave feeling great. 10/10

I had such a great experience at On Broadway! I am visiting Boulder and am from Omaha, Nebraska. I was so weary to visit a new salon solely off of online reviews for my wedding. Im normally a creature of habit and experiences at new places dont normally pan out for me. However, I am so happy I selected On Broadway. My hair and makeup turned out perfectly! Everyone was SO NICE and I was very impressed with their service. Everyone offered me coffee, water, or tea and made me feel very comfortable to be there. Unfortunately Im terrible with names. But the woman that did my makeup made me feel so comfortable and so relaxed though the whole process. She picked the perfect colors for my face which is not easy to do and was able to give me even better than I expected for my bridal makeup. The one that did my hair was so patient and nice to me. I felt awful because I had her redo my hair a few times because I didnt really know what I wanted going into it and she really gave me the perfect hair for what I needed. I have no doubt that it will hold all day for my wedding and photos. I 100% recommend On Broadway Salon & Spa

On Broadway was amazing in every way! They were so accommodating to our group and let us take pictures on their gorgeous patio. I had both my trial and hair done by Donna who is one of the sweetest people Ive ever met! She helped me start off my wedding day relaxed and made me feel beautiful.

We love bringing our son to On Broadway for his haircuts. We had an appointment near the holidays that got mixed up and Ramon fit our son in for cut. He was friendly, helpful and our son had a great time. For a 2 year old this was the best possible experience! We will definitely be returning.

I’m so happy I met Kai not too long after I moved to Colorado and that he’s been cutting my hair ever since. As a client of Kai, I couldn’t be happier with how he has cut and styled my hair. My mom has been going here for 10+ years so I decided to try it out, as I couldnt get an appointment with her lady as soon as I wanted, I chose Ramone. I went in asking for him to just give me a trim straight across and to not touch anything else. He did exactly what I asked him not to do. He ended up cutting the front sides of my hair so short that a month later when they had grown out a bit, I had a mullet. I am now 20 years old and having to wear hair fillers/ extensions in the front of my hair. This was so disappointing and will take quite a awhile for it to go back to how it was before. The salon is great but highly would not recommend seeing Ramone. I have also heard from others that he does this quite often and decides he knows what looks good on the customer and not what the customer wants.

I highly recommend On Broadway! It is apparent that much love and attention has gone into creating a space that is beautiful and comfortable. David is extremely professional, pleasant and skilled. Staff is taking extra precautions for COVID safety, including offering haircuts outside in their beautiful courtyard. I would love to see this locally owned business continue to thrive!

Had my hair cut by Kai and thoroughly enjoyed my time in the salon. I’m highly neurotic and my hair sucks so I’m usually nervous having my hair worked on. He was really genuine, friendly and actually listened to me. I have a bad track record of not being assertive enough with hair professionals and being left with a frizz-bombed head, but not today!

People compliment my hair all the time. I love the pampering - head massage, sometimes a hand massage. The salon has a peaceful, calm environment with lovely art displays. I need to share what an incredible experience my daughter, her 10 (yes, I said 10) bridesmaids, and the mothers of the bride/groom had on the day of the marriage. The morning of hair/makeup preparation for everyone was an extreme treat, and more than simply fabulous work, the energy, support, and authentic affection of the studio owner and all of the staff supported the start of my daughters most-important-day-of-her-life completely. She couldnt have been made to feel more special, more pampered and attended to as the bride, and the rest of us felt the same exquisite, professional treatment. The salon and staff went out of their way with extra care and consideration.In addition, the owner, David Martinez, did my hair as MOB - I have never had a more beautiful outcome with my hairstyle! I didnt wash it for a week so I could get every mile out of his artistic work I could! On Broadway may be off Broadway -- but its completely spot on in every other respect! Atmosphere, Professionalism, Warmth, Attention and Ambience. Definitely a 5 Star experience for 13 excited people and a fantastic foundation in all ways for what turned out to be the most wonderful wedding. I have followed Donna Davis for the last 5 years because she is awesome! I have thick hair and it is hard to find a hairdresser that can cut my hair the way I like it. She has such an amazing creativity that I trust her 100%. Many times I have gone in there telling her to do whatever she wants with my hair. Kai did amazing work on my highlights and cut! He listened to my requests and made knowledgeable recommendations and I absolutely love the results! Based on our conversation, and the beautiful color and cut I received, it was obvious that Kai took great care and concern to use balance of products tailored specifically to what would work for my hair rather than using a cookie cutter approach.The salon itself is beautiful, warm and relaxing, an idyllic spa setting! Everyone was friendly, and worked to create a great atmosphere.

The few times I have been here have been so welcoming and kind. I love seeing Kim (and would follow her across the world), and this environment allows her to create masterpieces of her design while also getting to be social. If you are adventurous or like staying up to date on new trends- Kim is the person for you.

I have been going to On Broadway for many years and David is simply the best -- as a stylist and a person. The setting is lovely with a relaxing water fountain, and lovely music and art. I used to travel from Houston to see him for a great haircut (I tried every Aveda salon in Houston and no one could compare). Fortunately On Broadway is now only minutes away from where I live. Trendy places come and go, but quality never goes out of style.

On Broadway Salon & Spa is a class act. They have absolutely amazing employees, the atmosphere is beautiful and what seems like an unbelievable amount of talent. The stylists are knowledgeable and are really helpful in picking good product that works for my hair thickness and color. I recommend either David or his son Kai although I have yet to be dissatisfied with anyone I have made an appointment with when they are booked up or for a last minute cut.

I think On Broadway is the very best salon in Boulder. Ive been a client since they were actually on Broadway! David, the owner, and Kai, Davids son, are both excellent. The salon atmosphere cant be beaten, with tasteful art that is gallery quality and changes, an open, airy feeling with unusual vintage pieces that act as the stations, and a courtyard with lovely sculpture and plantings. The front desk staff is efficient and friendly. The Aveda products are wonderful. Ive used them for decades and wouldnt use anything else. And the spa is also first rate.

I could not have been happier with their willingness to accommodate my time and emotional needs. Went there the other day for a cut. The staff was great! Was given a cup of coffee to start, then received a truly great haircut from Kai. Everyone there was very knowledgable and extremely kind. It was a great start to my weekend, highly recommend.

Meg is great at asking you questions to understand EXACTLY what you are looking for and helping you find color matches that you didnt think existed. My hair, cut and color have never looked better and the salon is really great. Everyone is really nice and scheduling is super easy. I am very disappointed with the service that I received at this salon. I called in head of time to schedule an appointment for a client who wanted to get her hair/makeup done for an anniversary photoshoot and my entire experience was disappointing to say the least. Not only did they rush me through the phone conversation, barely listening to what I wanted and then hanging up rather quickly, but everything they did was completely WRONG! I told them specifically what I wanted for hair and makeup and they gave me the opposite. I wanted a very lose undo with hair falling down around her face and they gave her an extremely tight undo that they had to redo which meant she was late for makeup and for the shoot. The makeup looked horrible in my opinion, I asked if they did full air-brush makeup and they said yes when in fact they do not! I feel like I could have done it better myself. I also asked them to apply her fake eyelashes that she brought to the salon and they did not do that either. Then when it came time for payment I paid over the phone only to receive a call an hour later from a totally different person asking for payment. Um NO I already paid, and she had no idea and had to figure out what went wrong. This whole salon is completely unprofessional and it seems like no one actually communicates with each other. I will NOT be coming here again.

Kai was amazing. He took care of my hair for the state it was in and also provided a map for how to get it where I want it to go. I travel a lot and am rarely at the same salon, but will make a point to travel back to see Kai!

When you come through the door the aroma of Aveda products surrounds you. The antique stylist stations are so charming and the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable.

Wow! I have been going to On Broadway for my hair for for the past 4 years and I am always so happy. I see DONNA DAVIS and she is so amazing. Not only are my cuts always super hip and awesome, but she does great color too (she took me from dark brown / red hair to platinum blonde)! She listens and really helps guide you to what you want and she wont let you walk out looking or feeling less than fabulous. She goes above and beyond to make sure that her clients are happy, well taken care of, and have what they need. So incredibly disappointed! I made an appointment two weeks ago with Kai, but due to sickness he cancelled. Totally understandable. We went ahead and rescheduled for this Sunday and I just received a message stating he had to cancel and would not be able to do my hair any time in the near future. The reasoning....the front desk girl quit and he had to work the front desk. I’m sorry, but I have managed 7 retail stores in 2 states. I’m well aware that bad things happen, but to throw clients off to the side is quite ridiculous. I was truly looking forward to a great experience, but guess my search will continue.

Margarette is wonderful! I have seen her for three years and she is pleasant and sweet, not to mention an amazing stylist! She is the best part of this salon for me.**THIS IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE** I am posting this with the intention of the owners seeing this and maybe doing something about it. Every time I come which is once a month for the last three years, theres a new, terrible receptionist. Hire more people like Jesse-shes beautiful inside and out and is GOOD at her job! Train them to actually GREET the customers and stop being so generic and treating everyone EXACTLY the same. Try complimenting the clients and smiling for once. Maybe even get to KNOW the clients who have come to your expensive salon for multiple years. Just a suggestion from someone who has worked in the beauty business in multiple AVEDA salons all over the U.S. and abroad.

Shannon Reilly is an incredible esthetician with a genuinely open and effervescent personality. She is extremely knowledgeable and always makes sure to understand her clients’ skin and what they are looking for in their services and care. I have been a friend and client of Shannon’s for over a decade – no one does a better Brazilian wax! Any of On Broadway Salons clients would be lucky to have her as their esthetician.

Always get compliments on my hair and I can thank this studio for that reason!! Such a wonderful experience the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out.

Just moved here and i am so happy i found a salon i can trust!! From the time i walked in i was greeted and felt so welcomed, its a great atmosphere and everyone is so friendly. My hair is very important to me and my stylist (Haili) was able to understand exacly what i wanted and more! I am so satisfied with this salon.
