Not so much. They quoted me $200 more than a shop I use and love but could get the work done in half a day. Two and a half days later, with several phone calls I had to make and they finally finished it. They were courteous and atleast apologized but I was going to pay for the convenience of the half day turnaround. This was why I chose them in addition to being down the street from our home. I even had them quote me on parts. I bought two adjustable and beefy lower control arms for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, a big upgrade from the factory part for $200 off Rugged Ridge for the Flex Adjustable Arms. They were going to charge me $500 just for the standard, no frills and anemic parts, yikes man… That should have been my 1st clue to take it to our normal shop but Mr D’s Fastlane could not get it in for a few days and was also 15 miles away. The service tech was nice, the work seems good but just not a good price and they definitely over promised and completely under delivered.

Visiting the lake when I started hearing what I suspected was wheel bearing noise on my Ford F150. Normally I do all my own work but with no place to perform a repair like this, I was stuck. My main concern was getting it diagnosed correctly, and then repaired correctly at a reasonable cost.After looking around and reading reviews, I took a chance on First Choice. Glad I did. They fulfilled ALL of my expectations. Just got back from a round trip to Carson City with no problems. Big thank-you to all the crew at First Choice!

Ive gone to every auto shop in Boulder City and got the best service and prices at First Choice auto. Mac at the front desk is really helpful and I would recommend first choice to anyone in Boulder City or the surrounding area. Go to them first and Im willing to bet youll get the best price for the work. Id give 10 stars if possible..

This is my first, and not last, experience with this shop. They set an expectation in regards to time, they finished far before the time they quoted me which was a great surprise.The mechanic who did the job, fuel pump/sending unit in the tank, also installed an after market auxiliary fuel tank tool box combo for me. He took the time to look over the job with before taking on the job, was careful to line everything up properly so the tool box cleared the back bed rail and did an excellent job splicing in the gravity feed for the fuel to the fuel filler hose(I already have one splice for an Airdog system that complicated it).In regards to pricing, they were very competitive with the industry for this job. I am super happy and will take my other vehicle there for maintenance as I trust them after this first experience, and it is very hard to gain my trust. In my opinion, this should be your First Choice:)

Been going to Teds shop over 20 years. Took vehicle in for an inspection and ac chk. Was told needed new tire sensors. Fixed. Less than a week later brought it back because ac which was not checked correctly went out. Less than a week after that are back to get a loud noise when running ac and coolant leak checked. Neither of which was happening prior to ac repair. Told it is the starter and tstat. Were to believe a noise that occurs when the ac is on is the starter? Really heart broken that Teds staff is giving this kind of service. Used to recommend EVERYONE to him now I think after this is doneso are we

1st Choice Auto was somewhat of a God send. Honest beyond fault. If it doesnt need fixing they wont, unlike some that fix, or say they fix for the high dollars. Totally trust their work, courtesy and understanding. A business that should be highly respected not only in Boulder City but in the Las Vegas valley.

While on a road trip our van broke down. We took it to one shop in the area , they were going to charge an outrageous price for the repairs as well as not allow us to see how they were fixing it. So instead of going with that repair shop. Needles to say, w took our van to first choice auto. They understood we were living in the van at the time so they made our home/vehicle top priority at getting it fixed. Unfortunately while the vehicle was being fixed our cat jumped out and was lost forever. At any rate First Choice Auto was great to us. They charged a very reasonable price as well as have us a lesson on how to fix It in the future. A guy by the name of Maynard who worked there at the time took us to Vegas also he was very nice. Good group of mechanics here. They really took care of our Van. Thank you!

Great group of guys. The mechanics are geniuses and the front desk will call to verify broken parts and replacements they find along the way. They work on both our sporty Subaru and our old jeep and have helped us keep our cars on the road. Ive never had a bad day here, even with my axle going out!

These guys were incredible mechanics and extremely trustworthy. We had car trouble heading back to Arizona, and Ted and his crew fixed our issue within the day. Considering the short time frame, they did an amazing job of diagnosing the problem and getting the parts. I only wish I lived in the area, because I would easily trust them with my regular repairs!

I visited a couple other shops before landing at First Choice and I can tell these guys are honest and reasonable. My car needed rear brakes service and I went to one of those Big o tires and they quickly gave me a $600 estimate. They wanted to replace the drums and God knows what else. I went to First Choice and they quoted $260 for all the parts and labor, and they said the drums were fine. I took cars for pre purchase inspections to First Choice a couple times and they didnt charge me despite the extensive inspections they perform. For one of those cars, they even told me not to buy it given all the broken stuff on it. They have earned my business for the foreseeable future.

I always used First Choice when I lived here 12 years ago. I could count on great service, honesty, integrity and not being overcharged.I moved back recently and my Jetta TDI started acting up. I did not hesitate to call and was able to get my car in quickly. As always, I received a detailed diagnosis and estimate for the repairs. Went out to Boulder City to sign some paper work for a storage company, noticed our car was leaking radiator fluid. Took it to them, they told me they were soooo booked up to bring it back Monday morning but I explained to them I didn’t live there and was pretty much stuck there. They made an exception took my car in and repaired our radiator within an hour and was able to take our car home. So happy I took it to them ! Thanks again
