Had an odd problem with my vehicle. First to respond to my quote and the best price. Had them do a full tune up, oil change and an AC charge as well at the time of repair. They were awesome, quick and efficient. Car runs like new! Highly recommend!

(Second post from different account because it will not post my original review - once again: Fake good reviews ???)Please read, maybe my case was unique, but I sure will not be back!Waste of my money and time.On 8/10/21 I came in to get my transmission oil changed and get my transmission pan checked out because the seal -is- broken, making a small amount of oil leak around the screws. I explained to the man checking in my car the issue and asked if he could check my tires as I am planning a trip out of state this coming weekend.After waiting the average time of 2+ hours for that type of work, I was asked to pay because my car was ready. At the registered I asked the lady if they found anything usual with the seal because I wanted to make sure it was fixed (my main concern), she had no idea, so she asked me to speak to the mechanics across from her office. I asked the mechanics and they had no idea about what I was asking. I quote what I was told I do not know if there was an issue because my technician left already, and he did not mention anything... okay so I said Well can you check if he fixed it? He acts uncaring and checks under my truck and says, Oh yeah it is leaking, you should take care of that. At this point I am beyond upset because that IS the reason I came here for!He suggested I leave my car for them to fix the next day or schedule another service day... I do not think so. How can I trust you again with my car when you had no idea what I dropped off my car for and on top it treat me as if I do not know what I am talking about.I really did not need the transmission oil change yet, but I figured I would take care of both issues the same day (which they did the oil change and also my tires, I will give them that). Now I am $168.00 short, and I must find a different mechanic that WILL fix my main issue so I will have to have my transmission oil drained again.The good reviews really had me fooled there, and I was excited to go back seeing they work with AAA since I am also a member but I am EXTREMELY disappointed.

Very knowledgeable and trustworthy. They correctly diagnosed my vehicles issue and fixed it saving me hundreds of dollars. Another local mechanic not only misdiagnosed the issue, they also wanted to charge me $2000! I will continue to take my vehicles here.

These amazing people have gained my trust when it comes to working on my vehicles. Ive had more than one car worked on more than a handful of times at this place and I have never been disappointed. Its so hard to find a really honest good mechanic anywhere for anyone, and I was of course hoping that nothing would go wrong after my vehicles were worked on because of the bad luck Ive had with other mechanics. But that wasnt the case here theyre efficient honest affordable and reliable as far as Im concerned. They have taken great care of me and Ive never had an issue with any of my vehicles but Ive gotten them back. Im having a new engine dropped into my truck here and Ive yet to get it back but I know when I do Im going to have a great running truck because of them. Ill update my review if I need to but if anybodys looking for an honest reliable affordable mechanic this is your place to go! I would never take my vehicles anywhere else. Im so appreciative of everybody here.

Coming home to Buffalo our car broke down right by the hover damn. We were able to drive it to thier shop and they were excellent at getting us diagnosed and back on the road the same day and with a very fair price for that service. Id chose them again in a heartbeat.

If they could have gotten us in and out the same day that would have been awesome. But they referred us to a nice hotel that was only about a 15 minute walk from their shop.

They were great. Truck was over heating and we were driving through town. They got us in right away. Found out what the problem was. Got it fixed right away and we got us back on the road. Not only that but we safely got to out destination 12hrs away so definitely fixed us up! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Very kind to us as well. Its scary trying to find a decent mechanic when you are traveling. I lucked out here.

We had a great experience with them. We are full time RVers and needed to have the torque converter replaced (part of the transmission). They ordered the part and accommodated our schedule needs and did excellent work! I highly reccomend them.

These people are knowledgeable, professional, & fast! Had my truck in twice & they have done excellent work for a fair price.

Went there got smog test on both cars. Within ten miles check engine light goes on. My wife takes it there tells service manager he stated he would check it out. Had her sign something not telling her what it is. He then tells her its spark plug and coil #3 and it would be $700 for all of them to be replaced. I get down there after checking. Parts are like $140 online. I brought that to the service mgrs attention and he got quiet. He then stated it would be two guys several hours to work on it. I stated its right under the cover right? He got quiet again. He then stated if I got the parts it would be $360. I then tell him I dont want them working on my car I dont trust him now. He then told me theyre is a diagnostic check fee of $107. My wife stated she was told nothing about him charging her. He was completely indifferent. He stated she should have read the signs. I stated there was no signs. I asked for the form she signed. Nothing stated any price. I explained that. He then yelled I dont care, sue me.I go to the office telling reception I want to talk to owners. Service manager comes in arguing with me. He stated if my wife just would have asked him to check to see if they did anything he would have checked it without charging her. I stated thats exactly what she did. He pointed to a tiny paper in the office stating service fee is required. I asked if she went to office? He said no. I stated he didnt tell her it would cost. No signs outside. No price on paper she signed. I paid and asked for reception to note on a copy of my invoice all that transpired and I want to speak to owner. The woman at the counter was very kind. Still no call back a week later.

Im always very pleased with the level of service they provide. Its top notch, which makes sense why theyre AAA approved. However, the prices are high.

Went for oil change... Ended up in taking car to an other shop because I had a leak from the oil filter. As a plus they broke the air duct and I had to order one online and glue the broken one.Im giving 2* because the owner wrote me a check to cover the extra money I had to come out with.Overall: Ill pass!

Absolute worst experience Ive ever had at any mechanic, especially within boulder city. The owner has no customer service what so ever as she threatened to keep my car or pay her for a diagnostic fee that was not agreed upon. then proceeded to hang up on me. Lee you are by far the most unprofessional business owner I have ever encountered. She told me my car is not leaking any fluids and I pick my car up and drive it 2 miles and it is now leaking coolant immediately after turning the car off. DO NOT GIVE THIS LOCAL BUSINESS OUR LOCAL MONEY

Spent a $100 to do an inspection to make a sure no major expense. They didnt find any major issues. On the way home from purchasing the truck, the transmission shudder at 45mph. I called and talked with Lee, she wants to charge another $100 to find a problem they missed during the inspection. Now I have a $9,000 truck with unknown issues. I purchased the truck based on there assessment of truck. I am not going back and would not recommend this shop to anyone.Taking the truck back is not an option. They said they would waive the fees is I had them do the repair, but they are missing the whole point, I trusted them to do a complete inspection before I purchased the truck for $9,000. I asked Brandon two basic questions, is the engine good and is the transmission good. He replied yes. I would have expected a huge apology and we will not charge $100 more for the diagnostic because we missed it. Not test driving at hwy speeds is just wrong. I rarely post any negative feedback, but still left with a potential expensive repair on a truck I would not purchased base on the transmission stumbling at 45mph or less.

Great service! Stopped at Auto Specialists late in the day for a smog test, no appt but I was taken care of promptly and was on my way in less than 20 minutes. We have taken all our cars here since 2013 and are very happy with all services performed, from smog tests to oil changes to repairs on European cars, they do it all. Highly recommend this excellent Boulder City business!

Our truck broke down on our way to Zion National Park. We had it towed to Auto Specialist. The employees and owner were wonderful & honest. If we lived in the area they would be our #1 choice for auto & diesel service.

Extremely disappointed. I called the business yesterday afternoon for an estimate. I explained the diagnosis from another specialist and based on my cars age and history the lady (owner) suggested to definitely get a second opinion. So we agreed that I take the car in today for an opinion and will see from then. She gave me an estimate of $480 right away (even before I told her any details) and told me that the diagnosis will take about a half an hour which was perfect since I had an appointment just after that.Today I arrived, the check was quick and I got the second opinion which was different from the other specialists (free) estimate and a somewhat cheaper solution for me. Then I reminded her that I had to leave and have the work get done at a later time. She then told me that my car was already taken apart and I would need to pay a $50 charge if I decided to leave and take the car back later. The problem with this that she KNEW that Im going only for a diagnosis from our phone conversation the previous day and she never mentioned the diagnosis fee. She asked where my appointment was (0.3 miles distance), then she offered me to get a replacement car to get there, so I decided to leave my car and have the work to be done. Big mistake.I got back about 40 minutes later, already with a bad taste because I was basically forced to leave my car (or pay a fee that I didnt know about), which I was not ready for because I did not come for that.While I was waiting I spotted the AAA sign which made me a little happier and I asked the receptionist to apply the 10% labor discount if possible. She went to ask the owner who sent me the message that she will fix it at the end.When my car was ready I received the bill with the first, original estimate, without the AAA discount. I again asked the receptionist lady who, again called the owner. The owner lady came over and informed me that she already gave me a discounted price (what, where, when?), so she cannot apply the AAA. She charged me the exact same price she told me on the phone ($480), but on my bill she wrote $519 for the original estimate which simply is a LIE. She also said that I still came out good, because the other shop wanted to charge me more (how is this relevant, that was for a different service). Also, that I should have mentioned the AAA discount before the service, not after (shouldnt be an issue, the AAA discount is not a coupon and is NEVER asked beforehand). This just topped the whole thing and gave me the most terrible experience ever for a car service. And the terrible irony that I received this experience from a lady (against all the men mechanic stereotypes). Very, very bad business model.I wish I had left after the diagnosis with the $50 fee, but I ignored the bad signs. Im only giving 2 stars because the service was fast and the lady at the reception was nice.

I have been doing business with Auto Specialists for over 25 years spanning 2 owners.This is an excellent place to have your car worked on. Some of the mechanics have been there for well over 25 years. (That says a lot in itself)You can always be assured of a fair price and a competent mechanic. While they have made a few mistakes over the years, they have never failed to not make it right.I now live in Henderson and it is still worth it for me in peace of mind alone, to continue to bring my vehicles to them.

We were driving through on a multi day camping trip. We had a short in my husbands truck causing the turn signal to be out and the gear shifter to be locked in park. Not wanting to risk it, we bit the bullet in an unfamiliar town and looked up a mechanic. Fortunately we were welcomed by Lee who quickly put us at ease. She estimated the price up front and got her electrician on it quickly. The weather was great while we sat on some patio chairs for about an hour.When we paid, the price came to what we were quoted. The people were friendly to us and our dog. The price was fair and service was efficient. It would have been easy to upcharge us, but we left knowing we were taken care of. I cant say we will be back unless by chance again, but I would recommend them any time.

We just got our old ‘97 Mercury Cougar back from 3 week repairs at AUTO SPECIALISTS . A very pricy bill BUT worth EVERY PENNY! The old car drives like brand new! Thanks Paul for the lift down there. The Silver Rider bus let us down. Lee and Paul Hagen are the BEST EVER!

Rather than giving 1/2 star I give benifits of the doubt hoping I wasnt mislead and that people are honest, plus the original basic service (oil and such was done timely and as a walk in).The lady warned me that my wheel bearing was about to break and that I would crash if I didnt get it looked at so I booked it in at her recommendation for the following day, turns out within half an hour of dropping it off she informs me I need a FULL rebuild bearings replaced etc and that my van would fail. She then quoted me 1200-1500 before tax saying she has a guy who can fix it there, I then informed I couldnt afford it and she reinstated that is the ONLY option to the point she offered me to be able to leave my van with them for $ Until I get more cash on me or Ill end up having to be towed or worse.I refused and went to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion with in mind that I had my breaks, rotors and drums replaced only a month before (she still insisted they probably missed it and were dodgy mechanics and just wanted to sell me new breakpad) the gentleman informed me that there is only 2 places in the area (Vegas included) that actually deal with diff and that the original place where the lady quoted me is merely a middle man and that they cant actually diagnose a problem and they send it elsewhere to get fixed anyways?I then ended up taking it directly to a specialist who does the repairs In the area and he told me that I did NOT need a FULL rebuild and only a few little things which ended up only costing me $600 including tax and labour. Which is half the original quoteNow I understand business needs to be run but the lack of transparency and honesty on the situation or advice on what could help me she instead sent me off blind in a cold snappy manner with a snarky goodluck, rather than offer me free advice like the honest mechanic nearby which I thank for saving me a ton of money.Again I give benifits of the doubt that situation is only reflective on the main lady and not the actual mechanics so Ill leave a 3 star review.My advice for future customers just be weary and potentially get yourself a 2nd opinion rather than trust

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Lee at Auto Specialists really went the extra mile for me, quite literally. When they realized power steering brackets fot my 2005 convertible are no longer being made, Lee offered to try to find them at a Pick and Pull junk yard. I thought that was a long shot but a lot better than driving a rental home and shipping my car back to Arizona and trying to find a fabricator. I had recently had my car at a transmission place where they replaced the transmission computor and may have damaged the brackets. When I called an AZ used parts dealer he said When we pull the power steering pump, we throw the brackets out for recycling because they dont break. Anyway, I was very fortunate that Auto Specialists had the willingness and perseverance to find the parts for me with integrity and to complete the work on a timely basis. I had car trouble just south of Hoover Dam and was towed to this rip-off joint by AAA. Complaint in process! I had a blown serpentine belt. Basically, a $100 dollar fix. According to AAA and Nevada Law I was due an estimate (any repair over $50) of the cost to repair the damage. I never received an estimate. Complaint in process. I sat for well over an hour. Eventually, the service writer Cruella de Vil told me that my car had been repaired and the cost was $254 for a serpentine belt. Outlandish! Now thats what I call service with a smile. No estimate. Slam the customer into a bill with no approved estimate, and to boot no AAA discount. There are some things in life that are more important than money like INTEGRITY! This shop has proven they have none! As retired law enforcement I was apalled! Travelers if you have car trouble do not use Auto Specialist at 705 Juniper Way, Boulder City, Nevada.

Had a lube oil and filter done and renewed my DMV at the same time, they didnt lube my truck, disappointed.Found HonestLee repair shop on Canyon a couple blocks away, thats where Ill be going from now on.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! My parents took theyre car here and they charged them $500 to fill their A/C. Instead of converting it to 134a so they could do it themselves!!!!! Who does that? Crooks thats who.

Ive never had any work done here, I am a delivery driver and I have taken parts there and picked up parts to take to a machine shop as well. The place is always busy, which says a lot, the people that work there are friendly and the place is always clean.

We came in at 2:30 on a Saturday with an overheated car. They diagnosed the issue and replaced the radiator by 4 PM. We were passing through from out of state, and they really took care of us.

Ive used them for wide range if repairs and theyve done it very well. I hope they succeed in their business!
