Took my X5 for a full inspection because it was having some engine problems. I specifically asked for a suspension, brake pads and tire review as well as everything else including the engine. They charged me $174 to check on my car but only told me the obvious: “engine is bad” and “there has actually been a lawsuit regarding this engine” (Bang v. BMW). Then they gave me all the documentation where I was supposed to get all the other inspection details. I recently checked the documentation and there’s no information about the inspection apart from engine should be changed and alternator is not working good. So I called BMW of Bloomington and talked to Jeremy. I asked about all the information from the inspection that was supposed to be on that paper because I want to move forward and change my engine but I wanted to make sure that everything else was in good shape. He told me that the inspection didn’t get completed and that the mechanic spent well beyond the hour to check my car. Interestingly enough there is no information from that “hour work”. Then he told me he will email me quotes for a new engine prices and the work that needed to be done in my car. Well I didn’t get any email so I called today and they kept me hanging in the phone until they hanged up. Well, that does it for me and so this 1 star, btw I want a refund from your pseudo “inspection”.

Bought an old M3 with the SMG transmission from them in 19’ for $11K. Seemed in pretty good shape, just had some high miles, and cosmetic dings and a light clunk while shifting. Was told that the SMG just did that. Luckily it was a “Certified Pre-owned” so I didn’t have to worry. Had it in a garage for 2 years and only put 3K miles on it, but the transmission would clunk louder and louder as time went on. Took it in and suddenly the vehicle has “DANGEROUS!!! 10+ year old, bald tires with dry rot and exposed chords on the inside wall”, Tie rods that had been torched and seized, and several other problems which would not have occurred from sitting in a garage for 2 years. Turns out the clunk was a worn baring that would require dropping the differential to fix. They then offered us half what they sold it to us for. Seems like their mechanics are far more observant when they don’t own the car which I find to be deceptive and Im annoyed that i was given a car that they described as dangerous in all caps. I would not buy used here.*Update. That car is now on their lot, sporting some familiar looking tires.

I called Service for help with a BMW radio code that I needed to make the radio work again after a power interruption. To my good fortune, I was transferred to Rob in Service. Rob not only took my call, but an interest in helping me solve my problem. He looked up the code based on a number I provided and called me back. When that didnt work, he continued to research it, finally helping me with information to find the serial numbers on my radio. Upon providing pictures to him, his research still gave the same info. Rob took time out of his day for a phone customer and emailed several times attempting to resolve my issue. Thanks Rob!

The service team was great. The car has been good. The drop from 5 stars is due to the fact that it wasn’t revealed to us that the car had one key until after alL paperwork was done and they handed us the one key. We were led to believe that service/parts would have a new key made for us. When we questioned that, we were presented with a $500 estimate for the second key. It felt like they hid the fact that it only had 1 key.

Wow. I hardly know where to begin..I will start by saying that I bought my first BMW in 1997. I have bought 10 BMW vehicles since. I have had some interesting experiences with dealerships along the way; some great, some not so great.Without question, my recent interaction with BMW of Bloomington has been the absolute best dealership experience I’ve ever had. These guys hit it out of the park.My story began on a Friday afternoon as I was driving my wife’s 2017 X3 home to her following it’s purchase in Wisconsin. It had 33k miles and was still under factory warranty.I decided to stop at Tobins pizza in Bloomington as I was passing through heading south to New Orleans. My mother -in-law previously lived in Bloomington, and Tobins was her favorite.As I waited for the pizzas, the X3 died. And would not restart. 4:00 pm on a Friday. I was stuck. In Bloomington. For four days. When I engaged BMW of Bloomington and explained my circumstances, they told me what they would need in order to give me a loaner until their service department could diagnose it on Monday. They gave me a 2021 X5. Everyone I spoke with there was attentive, empathetic and they made me feel it was genuine.On Monday, I learned the fuel pump died at 9:40 am. Before I called the dealership. They texted me with the diagnosis and request for authorization to repair. There wasn’t a fuel pump in the area. I would have to wait until Tuesday. On Tuesday morning, the part did not arrive. The service advisor put me in contact with the parts warehouse manager two hours away. A short conference call later between the warehouse manager, dealership service manager and I, the warehouse manager decided to drive the part himself. They got me out of there by 4:30 pm Tuesday. My hotel stay, meals will all be covered by BMW.BMW of Bloomington did everything that they possibly could to improve my experience.I am forever grateful.

Ordered several bmw carbonfiber parts from them for my M4. The first time I came in to install the parts, they told me they did not purchase the glue to install the parts after I left the car there for THREE hours, and they said I needed to pay for the glue. The second time I came to install after I PAID for the glue, they installed the spoiler unsymmetrically as the pic shows. While I talked with them, they said the only option I have (they said it was the only option) is to buy a new spoiler and re-install. I argued it was not my responsibility and the agent became really impatient and impolite. Finally he said there was nothing they could do today, and I need to make an appointment again to fix it. Lets see how this gonna end.

My car is still under warranty and when I bring it there for them to fix the passenger heatseat. They don’t even try hard enough but telling me that’s how BMW made it like that. I mean passenger heatseat and driver heatseat feels completely different! Well.... whatever I just left and never come back. This is why I like go out of town for services.

Not quite sure where to start seeing Ive NEVER experienced the level of customer service, urgency, and downright genuine compassion for a fellow human than I did with this outstanding person. Christopher Woody Wood went well beyond his scope of responsibility to help me in every way possible to insure I was safe, comfortable and even fed in my time of need. Long story short, my car had a catastrophic failure of one of the seals on the supercharger. Christopher made it possible for me to get the car back on the road for what would be a very nerve wracking 5 hour drive back to Mid Missouri. He both used personal time and resources to make this all happen (930 at night!). I cannot express my gratitude in written words of how amazing this person is.

The vehicle computer was not cleared so personal information from the previous owner was still on the hard drive. The vehicle was not clean even after “detailing”, and the driver side wiper was damaged beyond use.The personnel at the dealership are fantastic. Our salesman was terrific, the finance manager was very engaging and made the experience very pleasant, we were even engaged by the General Manager which really topped off the experience. We understand that the GM is new and have every confidence that he’ll effectively address any short comings we experienced. We’ll likely do business there again.

I did not have a great experience at BMW of Bloomington. The sales manager, Bob was not very polite and was very misleading. They said they were going to call me back a day or two later about a vehicle I was interested in and NEVER did. Hope Betley was the one assisting me and said to call her if I had anymore questions after I came in spoke to them and did paperwork. I called her literally 5 times and she never responded or called me back. Truly ridiculous. I would never recommend anyone to go there.

What’s wrong with America? Greedy salesmen that don’t understand great customer service. In dealing with the Sales Manager Bob Rowe, I agreed in principle to purchase a vehicle with a scheduled phone call to leave a deposit then purchase the vehicle. I live out of state and explained my work schedule. Bob agreed to the scheduled phone call. But you guessed it, Bob sold the vehicle. His explanation is “I do not hold vehicles off of promises and I explained I would keep selling the vehicle” Which he did not. Why would you schedule a phone call? I first spoke to Bob at 12:00pm, scheduled a 4:30pm conversation to either leave the deposit or purchase the vehicle at that time. Bob sold the vehicle at 2:00pm. Everyone is about a dollar. No honesty nor integrity.

She was very helpful with all the many details that go along with purchasing the vehicle. Conscientiousness, transparency and professional service is what we were taught. I was looking for a new BMW as my lease is getting over. I got in touch with Travis French for a talk. He was very receptive, genuine and I really felt that it wasn’t just about his next sale. Unfortunately circumstances changed and I couldn’t get the car and for the first time in my life I met a sales guy who didn’t treat me like it was my loss. Rather we’ve become friends and he gave me good advice for going to Canada. This surprised me as my previous experiences at other dealerships lacked greatly in comparison to BMW of Bloomington. I had a bad experience with this dealer 5 years ago in service-when they just acquired the business but now I have had nothing but positive experiences , I highly recommend Bob in sales and Jesse and James in service-top notch people! My wife and I were in the market for a new mini van. We were referred to Bruce as we have heard how amazing he was to work with. He listened to our wants/needs/ extra features we would like in a vehicle. We found a van that fit some of our needs and we wanted to test drive it. When we showed up Bruce had the van we came for along with a van more affordable, with EXACTLY what we wanted in a van. He was not pushy at all, and never made us feel pressured to make an on the spot decision. After test driving the van he brought for us we did not even bother test driving the van we had originally came for knowing it was out of the budget, and not as fitting for our family as the one he searched for on his own with our needs as his top priority. We bought the van that day and Bruce stayed way past the time he was supposed to leave to educate my wife and I on everything from the loan to how to use all the cool features the van had to offer. We will never buy a car from anyone but Bruce!
