They were very professional and polite. Did a good job and didnt try to sell me repairs I didnt need. Did an inspection and gave their recommendations and I decided what to do. Im pretty car savvy so I know what my car needs. Eventually I will probably follow through on all their recommendations as they were pretty much spot on.

These guys really helped me out with my bumper after i showed up here randomly post an accident— and they didn’t charge me.. we even tried to tip. So nice and super helpful

Automatics has been serviced my daughters car for many years. After I moved to California six years ago I have gone to them to service my car. I take my care to them every year to be serviced. People who run Automatics are honest and I can trust them to tell me what need to be fixed and get them fixed ahead of time. Their workers do excellent work. My car is ten years old and by using their services it has not broken down even once in the past six years. I live in Walnut Creek but I drive to Berkeley to have my car serviced.

We take our personal car here as well as our work truck. These guys are quick, honest and know their stuff. I was really impressed when a couple issues got diagnosed on my older Prius and the guys there were really honest about what needed to be done and not done. Their prices are fantastic and the wait times are not bad at all! They are a great shop!

The communication is first-rate from the initial phone call to the post-work explanation of what was done, why, what was not done and why. The texted detailed inspection with photographs was understandable and made it easier to decide what to do and what to wait on. Im a satisfied repeat customer and always appreciate the first-rate work and fair value.

This is my go to neighborhood repair shop! For some reason, my area has a TON of auto repair shops, but this one is so nice and friendly and helpful. Its really the next best thing to having a mechanic friend in the family. Theyve helped me so often with big, small, or embarrassing things, and even if I cant articulate what I need help with, they can always figure it out.

Used to be great. Friend had to take car back three times and they kept messing up the repair. I took my car in for a test drive (free elsewhere) and they charged me a lot of money, lying that my wife had approved it. They had never talked to her. They hired a relative and have two owners instead of one...must be increased financial pressure. And the transmission rebuild they told me I needed didnt need to be done at all.

Really nice people with really good skills. They did good work (even work that can get extremely annoying like changing a gross-looking 30 year old oil cooler) on my 1988 RX7, has been running super reliably.

Alphonso was very helpful when I stopped by to discuss my problem (faulty headlight), and he explained possible outcomes and costs. I brought my car in the next day, and Alphonso fixed it himself, fairly quickly, and explained what had been at fault, how he fixed it, and showed me the part which he replaced. I couldnt be happier.

I will agree that the service was good, I appreciated how responsive they are via text/phone/email...but once the issue is diagnosed ($150 - they waived) I was billed for 2 hour for a total of $400 not including parts.
