Went to sunrise lodge at my bachelor for ski lessons. This was my first time skiing ever and they explained things beautifully! Highly recommend taking ski lessons here! I had a blast! And the sunrise lodge serves up some AMAZING smash burgers! Seriously they’re really damn good. I went during the week and it was not crowded. There were people and everyone was wearing masks and keeping distance. I felt safe. I can’t wait to go back and ski some more and gain more experience on the skis!

Great food both trucks and on the deck area during COVID. Always a good beer selection. When its sunny you cant beat sitting out on the patio/deck.

The staff here are some of the most respectful on on the mountain. The Sunbar is so much fun and even more exciting when it’s warm enough to close the roof and party in the open air.

Parking at Sunrise generally requires you to be there before 08:45 to get a spot on the weekends. Great spot off of the main West Village lot, and still has all the amenities youd want.

Too many Ikon pass holders. Excessively long lines, would rather boot pack. The non-local people were being very disrespectful to the Mt Bachelor staff. Not the same local feel anymore...

The lodge was closed for the season so no chance to check it out. Did get some nice pics of the mountain though.

Book your parking before you buy your lift passes. Its not the resorts fault, but still frustrating. The snow is good and dry compared to Mt Hood. Plenty of groomed and ungroomed runs fed by high speed quads.

SO BUSY. I could never find enough room to explore inside so I spent the day out on the patio and in the snow.Very well staffed, cool patio bar, and VERY kid friendly. There were two magic carpets and a smaller kids lift. Definitely a place to take the family but be sure you get there early enough for good parking. Tailgating seemed to be the way to go for larger families and groups looking for a spot to eat lunch.

We used upper part of the lodge where food and resting areas are. The food is your typical fare like burgers, fries, hot dogs and mac & cheese. There is also bratwurst which we liked and small salad bar. If you bring your own food you can sit at the upper level. There is a small coffee bar that also carries some basic sweets like muffins, brownies etc. The coffee itself was rather good. The place gets busy during lunch and especially around holidays.

This lodge has been sorely neglected and with the increased traffic on this side of the mountain due to Cloudchaser, they need to make some major updates. The bathrooms are not large enough to accommodate the amount of people, there arent enough ski/board racks outside (really this is an issue at every lodge at Bachelor), and if you want to have a beer while having lunch with your family, forget it - cant leave the bar with a beer to go inside and eat.

Ry
Review №42

This lodge serves mostly fast food type food (burgers, fries, chicken tenders, soup and has a small salad bar) plenty of seating. Upstairs seating is a place to enjoy your packed lunch. Main floor is reserved for food bought at the restaurant. There is a bar to get adult drinks.

The lodge itself is average, what you would expect from an American ski resort. With that being said, they have a great beer spot just outside in a heated area with a few of the lift. UNFORTUNATELY it closes the same time as the lifts. So if you were hoping to have a nice beer after a long day of skiing, continue looking.

Review №63

The moutain is 5 stars the lodge is 0 stars simply because of seating. I would ask the management what percentage of lodge seats for food service are they providing for the population of daily skiers on this side of the mountain? I have given up on even going into the lodge. We now eat at the car. While that is a bit of a pain it is much easier than attempting to go inside. This is a great access point and the mountain does a great job of putting skiers on the hill. The low rating is only for the lodge.

The mountain never fails to impress. The cafeteria/pub/coffee shop lodge is just not big enough. Was forced, by a very rude family, to share table I had waited on near cafeteria. My family was coming in behind me, still removing gear. I sat at a table that a family had just vacated. Suddenly I was surrounded by another family saying, Hey we need six seats! I told them my family and friends were on their way and they said, You cant save seats all day. I had gotten there just moments before they did. They began seating themselves at the table I was sitting at. I had some helmets and gear with me. I sat in my seat and the gear was across from me. My coat and goggles, on the seat next to me. I had 3 seats on a 10 spot table. They filled every seat I didnt have something on or near. I told them Here comes my family, they said nothing and took two more chairs. The rest of my group arrived quickly and I asked Did you people get enough seats? Here are my friends and family, I wasnt lying! They just sat and pretended that they had done nothing wrong. The wouldnt look up from their food. My kids sat down, then I added two chairs for my husband and our friend. The people were rude. I dont mind sharing, I do mind being invaded and treated as if I was going to save a 10 spot table all to myself for hours??? These folks were most probably tired and wanted to sit and eat too. Maybe they were waiting as well. Perhaps that is why they were so insistent. This madness didnt stop there, when my family got up to get cafeteria food, I was forced to shoo people from their seats while they purchased food. Last year there were no seats either. You basically had to stand around until a table cleared. It all smells like a gym sock. Its the same every year! The seating is awful in their adult area as well.Previously, I sat in the Pub on a stool. I was treated like a nuisance, eventually asked if I wanted a drink, I said I wanted some food and he slapped a menu in front of me and said he would be back. The wait was incredibly long and the server was frazzled or just grouchy.I feel that a resort this large should have separate restaurants, ranging in price and picnic eating areas. Theres lots of unused seating outdoors. Lol Maybe they should build up a bit. No one was using the snowy deck.Mt. Bachelor, may be close to our home, but the lodge is not close to our heart. People shouldnt have to stand around waiting to compete for someplace to sit.Get it together Mt. Bachelor Lodge. Its a madhouse. We all paid the same price, we shouldnt have to compete for a seat to eat cafeteria food.
