Wow! So impressed with the service we had with Gary today! I dont really write reviews often, and not usually for retail but we had such a great experience getting my husband fitted for proper ski boots and Gary was so informative, professional, and knowledgeable! No pushy sales, just real talk! We appreciate that very much. We went to other places to look for boots but Skjersaas was definitely the best spot. Also, weve rented snowboards and ski boots from them over the past couple years and were satisfied with the quality and prices! P.s. getting the custom foot beds is the way to go. 100%

Having rented skis from other shops in the past, the customer service and selection of rental packages I received from Sjkersaa’s was exceptional. Marshall was quick to help us with our order, and even took the time to engage with my kids and make the experience fun for them. Absolutely the worst service I have had in Bend in over 25 years at new location, old location and owner is way better! Abusive towards women and those in need of accommodations. They have zero patience, will not take time to help, zero knowledge on how to be kind! Do NOT Go! Power House treated us well and ski area treated us well. Went to Powder House had multiple kind service providers who remembered me through the years and I bought skies there for my family! This company needs to change policies and treatment of customers before lawsuits happen on how bad they treat customers be careful of James. Dishonest and rude. Baaa 🐑 sheep. Owner seemed to enjoy his power trip. He needs go to anger management to be safe around local Bend residents and kids! Happy New Year! Be sure to treat next customers better! We are up safely and healthy skiing thanks to other people and shops...

Disrespectful staff made for a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Without being prompted, they spoke poorly of their competition, Powder House, who ended up providing a far superior experience— a course in manners would suit Skjersaas well.Response to their reply:Initially the employee barked “pull your mask up over your nose”. As I was putting socks on to try on boots (less than two minutes later) he rounds the corner and yells “Are you going to make me ask you again!” as if I had let it slip intentionally. If I had been an older person or a female, I know I would not have been treated that way— I could sense this person’s anger directed towards our group was not mask related, but rather, because we were laughing, happy, joking with the girl who was helping us, and also about to spend a lot of money while clearly on vacation.This was confirmed by his remarks while I was checking out (I had to return to get the skis themselves as Powder House didn’t have the ones I wanted)— my mask was over my nose and he goes into yet another bit about keeping it over my nose. I simply said that I would like to check out and that the way he treated us was disrespectful and reminded him that we were all human. He told me that his respect is earned not given... I’m thinking the service industry is probably not right for this employee, and that he would benefit from a quick glance at the Stanford Prison Experiment as well as a personal examination of what his anger is rooted in.

Skjersaas is the OG ski shop in Bend. I was raised coming in to Skjersaas from a very young age and I always continue to come back for their outstanding services. Greg, Gary, Todd, and Maggie are all wonderful people and very knowledgeable about outdoor recreation no matter the season. I am always satisfied by my time at this shop! Simply put the BEST! The crew and gear at Skjersaas is the best in town. My family has never had better fitting boots than the ones we got from Skjersaas. Rented a snowboard/bindings/boots there. Great price and service especially when you compare to the rates at the hill. Unfortunately the bindings that they set me up with were too big but I managed for the day after some manual adjustments. Was in quick and out quicker.Looked like their gear selection was also good but I didnt go there to shop so I wont comment further on it.Definitely check them out for your rental needs.

Whenever I have gone to Skijersaas for whatever my need happened to be, it was always a very pleasant experience. The crew has always been very helpful in finding whatever it may be that I am looking for or helping me figure out what it is I am looking for. The local vibe is very warm and welcoming and a definite plus when I am wanting and needing to feel comfortable with my shopping needs. Especially for my winter sport equipment. The employees at Skjersaa’s performed a minor miracle repairing some massive damage to the base of my skis. What’s better, they were able to do it overnight and charged an extremely reasonable price. I could not recommend them enough for ski/snowboard services. Thanks!

Great service, knowledgable staff, highly recommend renting your equipment here as the prices are much better than on the mountain. Rental equipment is good quality and well maintained. Great rental policy, too: pick it up the afternoon before, drop it off the next day after you ski.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Plenty of other rental places in the area with the same price and MUCH better customer service.Just called to confirm hours on New Years and the worker who answered the phone was extremely rude. All I needed was a confirmation on what time the shop would be closing today since it is a holiday. The worker would not just say whether or not they are open till 7pm (like the website says) and simply said the mountain closes at 4 while treating me like an idiot for just asking this question. There is a lot of traffic leaving HooDoo ski area at 4pm as well as some extended hours for New Years, so it should be completely reasonable to ask a rental place what time they close in order to plan my trip accordingly. Extremely poor taste in how you treat your customers, will never rent from here again.

I rented a snowboard, service and staff were great. Giving 3 stars since they only rent boots with traditional lace system. If you are looking for boots with convenient tightening boa lacing system, this is not the place.

Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, fun staff. Locals feel, without the local snarkiness you sometimes see in ski towns. Plus, they have a bar so you can enjoy a beverage while you shop.
