Cog Wild staff shuttled us in September 2021 multiple times in Bend Oregon up to Wanoga is the lowest, Swampy in the Middle and Dutchmans for some outstanding rides. The price was $15 for the lower two drop offs and $20 for Dutchmans. Well worth doing the shuttle rather than going to the hassle of shuttling yourself. The drivers/organizers were friendly, helpful, efficient and they did make sure everyone wore facemasks while in the shuttle van. All the people we rode with were great about wearing the masks in the vans without complaint.

I was sooo lucky to have Liz as my own personal guide during my Cog Wild mountain biking tour. She was kind, smart, patient, and fun! I signed up for the half day ride as a solo rider, thinking Id be paired with a group of people, but getting the one-on-one attention was such an amazing (and better) experience! I had never ridden a mountain bike before and was nervous to start out. By the end of our ride I was going up and down hills full of rock gardens, screaming and laughing the whole time. Liz let me choose the trails based on my skill level and willingness to learn. Im so glad she challenged me to do things I didnt know I could do! The whole Cog Wild experience from start to finish was great--including the sign-up process, communication from the staff beforehand, and day-of activities. Also, Im so glad I didnt choose the full-day ride because the half-day was exhausting enough! Trust these people--they are a hardworking, wonderful team that will make sure you have the best mountain biking experience possible (and dont forget to tip!).

The service was easy to book online and the website included the waivers and links to pick up locations. The driver was entertaining and informative. The van was comfortable and the rack system for the bikes was secure and didn’t harm our bikes.

This Cogwild shuttle experience was excellent. The first for our family of four (kids are 9 and 11 and experienced riders). Before we left a nice Cascadia Junior Cycling coach offered the kids popsicles and my son warmed up on the Loge skills track.We hitched a ride up to Wanoga snowpark where the kids enjoyed the pump track. We then headed down Funner which started off as a nice flowy trail. The kids yelled, “this is fun” despite having to traverse rocks on foot several times.We took a lunch break at the intersection of Storm King and COD with a few Nutella sandwiches and entertainment from the Chipmunks.The climb up Storm King was a challenge but the downhill was epic. Kids got a little tired by this point. We had some complaints about hurt bums. The ride down Catch and Release and Rim Rock was beautiful but the kids were pretty done. Helped them out a little with towees.All in all an amazing family ride. Would definitely do it again.

I booked a shuttle up Dead Mountain in Oakridge. The driver was very professional. He took great care of the bikes and all the passengers inside. The gravel roads are a bit steep and he made sure to drive with safe/slow, so no one got car sick or freaked out. I will book with this company again.

Russ, Bonsai and Kate took care of us real well! I didn’t think we were going to get 3 guides but they covered our group of 7 up front, rear and mid. They groomed our ride to a level we all enjoyed! We all had a great time with great people. Couldn’t have been better. Cheers to Cog Wild! 👍🏽👍🏽

We have had two great experiences with Cog Wild. We have taken the shuttle to Swampy Lakes and to Dutchman. Both shuttles were awesome and were offered at a very reasonable price. The Cog Wild staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. They took great care of us and our bikes, and they provided excellent advice about the trails. Well be back!

Cog Wild managed to be both professional and relaxed at the same time. Our tour group for Grasshopper Ridge left on time after introductions and a quick briefing on the ride. The guides were awesome on the ride. A guide at the front led the faster folks while the sweeps made sure the slower people (me) were okay and kept company. Really fun and friendly experience. Highly recommended.

We got the shuttle today and appreciated the input from the shuttle driver. She was very knowledgeable about the area and asked what kind of riding we were looking for and made recommendations based on that. Great experience.

I had never ridden a bike like this. I knew I wanted someone with experience to show me the right way. Emily was incredible. She had decades of experience and shared her wisdom with clarity, wit and enthusiasm. She had me doing things in 2 hours I wouldnt have thought I could do. She was patient, and an all around cool person to shoot the breeze with over a cold Deschutes Fresh Squeezed after our vigorous ride. Ill remember this experience for years to come--and I think Im going to start shopping for a new bike!

Signed-up for a group class that was described as being appropriate for beginner to advanced skill levels. Unfortunately the class was very beginner (introduction to your bike) oriented. It was not a bad class, the description just needs to make it clear it is most appropriate for beginners. If you are new to Mt. Biking, take that class...if youre not a newbie, read on... After leaving feedback, the owner of the organization reached out for more detail. After a brief discussion he offered a free private lesson. Short story, he made right by this consumer. He was polite, professional and demonstrated/evaluated skills that were tailored to my skill-level. Thank you to Lev and best of luck to Cog Wild.

We thought we were booking a quick shuttle service but we got so much more. Our shuttle driver Matt was super friendly and knowledgeable about the trails and the area. He prepped us on the Alpine ride and inspired us to book a second shuttle for an evening ride. On the second shuttle (Dead Mountain) we were joined by another Cog member… Eugene. Eugene was a super rad guy and was nice enough to ride us out to a beautiful lookout point. Post ride we kicked back with some Kombucha and really enjoyed chit-chatting with the folks at the base camp. Great people. Great business….I’ll go back for sure.

The entire team was so easy and fun to work with. We had an excellent and a very experienced guide (Pia). She kep us safe, challenged and comfortable. This was our first experience into mountain biking and our family could not have asked for a better start.

Had a great time Katie our guide was excellent. No time pressure, spontaneous route changes afterwards sat and had a complimentary beer and talked music. They even adjusted my friends brakes on her bike before our ride.

My friend and I enjoyed our guided half day ride with Zach. He did a good job of selecting fun trails that fit our abilities. My friend is much less experienced than me. Zach was also very friendly and engaging. The beer after the ride hit the spot.

Wow, what a great experience for ALL of my kids ages (13, 11, 8 & 6)! The staff at CogWild is super knowledgeable, FUN and creative. My kids skills have progressed so rapidly. They LOVE the sessions, and continue to learn so much each time.

My wife and I rented a pair of mountain bikes from Cogwild and took their shuttle up the mountain. The woman who helped us was super friendly and helped us pick a route that was appropriate for our skill level. We had a blast and will definitely be back the next time we are in Bend.

100% would recommend. I needed an easier day with less pedaling - I was thrilled with the value and advice for route riding out of the swampy drop off. I didnt even feel like the sore thumb as a single lady. For $15 + tip it was worth it! (dont forget to tip the driver... just like nurses and waiters - you just dont want to give off the I dont need to tip vibe)

Cogwild is the best. They are easy to work with and never disappoint. Weve done private shuttles, regular shuttles up to the snoparks, and a MRT trip with them. Super flexible and always professional. Recently had to cancel due to smoke and they were great about changing days and/or issuing a partial refund (even though they have a no cancel policy). Highly recommend.

Fantastic! Family of four (ages 9-50) took the shuttle from Loge (stay there!) to Winonga drop off. Our driver recommended Tidslywinks which proved to be A good fit for our crew. mostly down w drops and jumps and a few technical spots. A little long for our strong 9yo rider but we did it! If you come to Bend you have to get a guided ride with Cog Wild. They are super cool and experienced. If you think you know the trails well you don’t know them as well as Cog Wild. They are professional and fun. Worth the money.

Best place to rent mountain bikes from! Super friendly, laid back, and they even road out to meet us on the trail to replace a flat tire! Couldnt recommend more.

Shuttle was exactly on time. Bikes were loaded quickly and we departed right on time as well. Timing was important to us as we wanted to ride ATCA and still catch a second shuttle at 1:30. Made it with 5 minutes to spare.

Great experience with the Cog Wild shuttle service in Oakridge this weekend. Driver was friendly and took the time to make sure bikes were loaded, safe, and secure prior to heading out. Cog Wild is a no frills experience. You pay for what you get. The drivers are professional and prompt. They have other, more involved offerings but the straight shuttles in Oakridge were the jam. #stokeridge 4 life

My 4 year old and 10 year old both have taken 3 hour camps with CogWild and I couldn’t be happier with the program. They inspect the bikes upon check in, they have small group sizes and 2 counselors/ride, and Bill is a great guy to work with.

We did a mountain biking trip from Dutchman to Bend with our guide Greg. We are avid riders coming in from out of town for a week long stay. From the moment we got there they had sunscreen for us to use, tons of sandwiches and snacks, amazing shuttle service, and our guide was fantastic. Greg really made sure we had a great day and had all the beta for the rest of our stay in Bend! Then we had beer and Komucha at the shop afterwards. Highly recommended for your first day in Bend to orient and get to know the trails...and just for an epic day! Totally worth the price, which was a steal in my opinion.

On Sunday 6/27/21, hottest day on record for Western Oregon.. I had the pleasure of spending the day with Eugene from CogWild Oakridge during a one-on-one full day skill session. Eugene took the time to get to know my riding style and pointed out some gaps in my technique to work on as well as giving pointers on what to work towards. Just go to oakridge, use this service and find out why it’s a five star. no hyperbole here – this is among the best businesses i have ever had the pleasure of giving money to. that statement includes any type of business. they were so unbelievably accommodating and friendly. matt, the driver, knew everything about the area, made sure we knew the exact trail crossings on the way up and is just a good guy. eugene, lead mechanic, hopped on our last shuttle of the day and was genuinely interested in our experience, where we were from, etc. we needed to get back to portland that night, but we strongly considered neglecting our duties in the city to hang out just a little longer. these are the kind of people that make you wish there were more stars to give for truly exceptional businesses.

We used the shuttle again, always a great experience, can’t wait to do it again.

We visited Cog Wild for a group ride recently. Our group of 6 had varying levels of confidence and expertise as our home does not have near the vertical challenges. We met at our arranged place and time, completed the needed waivers and orientation, and took off for a day of fun. Our guide, Skyler, was top notch! Keeping things challenging for some, while not outrunning those of us less confident.And, less technical, yet very important to our experience was the absolute feeling of hospitality exhibited by everyone.Thank you guys for a GREAT ride and day!

I had no experience prior too, but I have always wanted to get into mountain biking, and I found Cog staying at the Loge. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I was luckily enough to have a 1 on 1 clinic with Skyler, who was a fantastic teacher and guide for the day. It was clear his main goal was to make sure I enjoyed the day while learning what I needed to. I cant wait to go again, and a lot of that is because of Skyler and Cogs ability to make me feel comfortable and confident as a new rider. Plus getting handed a beer upon returning to their base camp, I wish I could give it another star!

While I didnt rent a bike everyone in the shop was super helpful, nice and wanting everyone to have a good time. They have some sick bikes to rent and I would definitely go back!

LOGEThats how the name looks on the sign.This lodge is awesome and u can pick up for a Cog Wild ride right from the bar at the lodge after a cold one before or after the ride. Oh, and they also have a cool training loop the goes around the lodge thats just .5 miles.

Traveling with our four year old and a limited budget, but wanting a fun family ride, we showed up and got a shuttle up and directions for a safe journey back to the office. The price is great, the staff amazing. Just as good this year as five years ago when we took an unforgettable tour. Can’t wait to have enough money on a trip, to do the tour again!

Had a great tour. Guide was friendly, knowledgeable and supportive, and picked out trails that were appropriate for my beginner-level kids, yet still enjoyable for adults. Only snafu was the office somehow overlooked my online reservation and called me the morning of the tour, telling me they just saw my reservation but didnt have any spots left. Shortly thereafter they called back and found another spot and comped the bike rental. A little frustrating, but they made it right. If you reserve online, make sure they acknowledge and confirm it.

Cog Wild was awesome. We toured with the for three full days with seven riders. Russ was our guide and did a great job assessing our skills and putting together three days of killer riding in Bend. They were fair and flexible and they know their stuff. Using them was an enhancement to our trip!

The guides, the tour, the company itself were amazing! The family 1/2 day tour is great for people who want to try mountain biking and not sure where to start. This is a perfect way to learn and be introduced to the sport. My wife had only been on gravel and paved trails and never tried mountain biking and she absolutely loved every second we were out on the trails. Our guide Skylar was also beyond amazing. He was very knowledgeable on the trail system and mountain bike skills to help the new riders in our group. He also had some amazing jokes to tell. He even took time when we got back to help me plan a little longer ride for the next day. Cog Wild has something for ever skill level and I recommend checking them out if you are planning on heading to Bend to Mountain Bike.

Best biking in Bend with the best guide in the world. Pia M.G. was terrific in her assessment and application of my skills and where to achieve the best thrills. That we did. We took the shuttle up and had a genuine conversation that was enlightening and valued. With a background in BMX I found the transition more natural than I guessed It would be and had no problem getting the feel of front suspension and gears.Over the next four hours we ripped, twisted and flowed through the most majestic backdrops on single trail. Even still I have not scratched the surface of what MTB access is available in Bend. What I am 100% positive about is that when I come down for some pedaling, I am scheduling and shuttling up with none other than Cog Wild. With amazing packages and diversity in adventures offered you can find no better place to shred or guides who are more in tune to your enjoyment.
