If you have a medical condition, like me, prohibiting you from wearing a mask, don’t shop here. They won’t accommodate. Remember, mandates are not laws. The governor can not enforce unconstitutional rules and is strong arming private businesses to be the enforcers. I will spend my money with the establishments that have the guts to stand for what’s right. Unfortunately Powder House is not that place.

When I walked in and saw how busy it was I thought oh no, we are going to be here forever... A few minutes later I was on a list, a few minutes later I was getting myself, my wife and daughter fitted for gear! Great organization! Helpful staff! The gear was also high quality and set up EXACTLY as I requested! Hit up Mount bachelor after you get your gear!

I recently needed to replace the heel pads on my ski boots. They are a little older boots but the service staff looked through several books and checked possible fits by looking at my boots several times. They ordered the parts and I installed them this morning. Perfect fit and function. Thanks to Powder house.

Really friendly staff! Didnt have to wait long at all to get fitted for some rentals. The whole process was very easy and the gear is working out well.

These guys are awesome! I have bought some snow gear here and they are always so friendly and helpful! A while back I rented snowboarding gear and just recently tried out some snowshoes. Both times the staff were eager to help me find the right gear in the right size and gave helpful tips for staying comfortable and safe. Thanks for the help!

The best equipment and the best advice around.

Had the best boot/ski fitting experience of my life. Bill was incredibly knowledgeable and honest in his recommendations. He took me seriously (which often isn’t the case with young female skiers) and made me feel so comfortable/informed with my purchase. He really went the extra mile! I seriously can’t recommend Bill and the store as a whole enough! They didn’t have a huge selection of last year’s skis/boots left but their sale prices are great.

As always the best ski shop I have ever experienced anywhere. Showed up 30 minutes before they closed and felt bad asking them to find boots and bindings for our three kids who are advanced skiers. They took their time assuring proper fit and type of equipment. Did not expect them to be able to mount bindings but asked understanding that as an unreasonable request to have it done before they closed. They happily obliged. Never felt rushed, and Kyle and Patrick offered unprecedented customer service even at the end of their day staying late to make sure we were outfitted,. Couldnt be happier with the process.

Love these guys!!! Super knowledgeable staff ski snowboard you name it they know it! The owner is super involved in daily ops and it shows. Very reasonable prices and efficient checkout for rentals and season leases. The store is well stocked but expensive and only has good sales at end of season so plan ahead. Its definitely not a Big 5 but quality brands that will last for years. Theres always someone to greet at the door who can help finding something or answer questions, and to enforce covid rules (plenty of signage in place too). Great helmet and goggle selection and the staff really spends a lot of time to find the right fit. They also do waxing for boards which is a little pricey for own boards but if you dont like it, diy it.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Winter or Summer, rental or purchase (and Amazing Patio Furniture). If you need ski/snowboard boots GO HERE. Fantastic experiences with their expert boot fitters that really work hard to make sure you are getting the right fit for your alpine adventures. I have challenging feet - and have skied uncomfortably for years - I now have virtual bedroom slippers thanks to the staff here.

This place is great! They rent paddle boards and all kinds of other river equipment, even after peak season ends and many others have stopped renting. Staff is super helpful and prices are reasonable. They also have used demo skiis for sale.

Powderhouse is amazing. I usually shop online for the cheapest deals but I had some extra cash this time to shop local and treated myself to a 154 20/21 ride superpig. I’m 6ft 175lbs and this board rode like a beast. Unfortunately first day on it and 3rd run down mt bachelor opening day Monday (dec 7th) I snapped the nose. I was stressing hard and crying I spent all that money and now I have a broke board. I stopped riding immediately and drove straight to Powderhouse and they helped me right away. It was covered under warranty. Phew! Downside I have to wait a week to get another. A day or two passed by and I gave them a call. I needed a board to ride for work as a coach for MBSEF freestyle team. They gave me another board off the floor and I was able to ride and coach that Saturday (dec 12) without having to wait for another board. So awesome!!But wait there’s more.I took the new board out to ride Monday (dec 14) with friends crew and I snapped the tail of the board. 2 boards 1 week about 3 hrs of riding on it. I went back to Powderhouse today (dec 15) to return the 2nd board and currently waiting on word.Powderhouse is amazing. I have no doubt this will be fixed and I’ll be on another board soon. Excellent customer service. All staff is friendly and go the extra mile. If you are looking to get your equipment serviced go here!!

I had such a great experience getting fitted for new snowboard boots. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and found the perfect boots for my feet. All the employees I interacted with were friendly too which made the process super fun! I’d definitely recommend the Powder House and will go back any time I’m in the market for new gear.

Y’all, let me tell you, there ain’t no other place like this in Bend, maybe Oregon. Kyle was not only the best boot fitter I’ve ever had, but the best salesmen I’ve ever experienced in my life, BAR NONE. I even spoke to the manager to provide a compliment specifically to him. They have an incredible range of boots, bindings, boards and skis, as well as apparel and other equipment. If I could rate it 10/5 I would. Best experience of the year.

Have gotten skis waxed and tuned countless times here. The hours are perfect too; open before and after the mountain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND here. Best place for all levels of skiers and snowboarders and especially for VISITORS.

Great place for all your snow sport needs

I go in to talk about skis and boots and they try to sell me patio furniture... costumer service is iffy, wouldn’t trust them with my skis.

This place is amazing. I bought my first pair of skies here. I am so happy I did. The people really help you. They are great price too. When I need new skies I will definitely go here. I was even better than some Utah skier shops. So when I up at my boyfriends cabin again I will stop here for more ski gear.

Rented snowboard and boots. I wear a size 10-10.5 in street shoes. The tech said I needed 9s to give me more control of the board. Long story short, I had to quit boarding after 1/2 a day and feel like both my big toenails are going to fall off. My try a more knowledgeable rental place.Update- The owner called me personally and apologized for my experience and offered me a full refund for my rental and a credit for my next rental. Really says a lot about an owner and his business to reach out to make things right.

My family and I are getting back into skiing. I needed new boots and the Powder House was my second stop. The selection was good and the prices were fair. What really made my stop a 5 star experience was the staff. They were busy, but still managed to be helpful. Tor helped me with my boot selection and spent at least 30 minutes with me answering all my questions while fitting me with a new pair of boots. He didnt try to over sell me either. He actually listened to all my requirements and narrowed the options down to two sets. I very happy with my new purchase.

New to town, wanted to support a local shop. Went to a couple other places first and couldnt get service. Walked in here, despite being busy I quickly recieved knowledgeable service and they took the time to help be get exactly what I needed.

I walked in there the other day and 4 of the employees weren’t wearing their masks and it took them several minutes to put them back on.

Got molded intuition liners and boot fitting done. Theyre patient, informative, and do whatever is needed to make your ski boots comfortable with performance. The boot fitters seem very well trained and experienced. They also have cute sweaters for my wife and a great gear selection for skiing and snowboarding.

Great place to get your ski boots. Im not an easy customer at all when it comes to ski stuff, but Kyle happily helped me find the right boot for over two hours. Or at least hid his annoyance well :) The important thing is they got me in the right boot and back on the mountain by the next good snow day.

We were driving up to Mt. Bachelor to go skiing for a few days in January and needed to get gear for the whole family. When we realized the weather was slowing us down and that we might not make it to the store before closing, I called the shop and asked if they could wait for us. They agreed and stayed open so that our family of eight could get outfitted for skiing and snowboarding. The entire staff was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable even though we were keeping them there after quitting time. Their accommodation allowed us to hit the slopes first thing the next morning ready to go. We cannot recommend them enough. They were great!

Powder house is one of my favorite ski shops in town. Super friendly staff and great for popping in to get maintenance or a wax. If your from out of town it is right on the way to the mountain and has a good rental selection. Also a solid selection of patio furniture in the summer.

Ive had mixed experiences. Ive been told to come in for rental skies on the phone, only to be told there arent any when I arrive shortly after? Sometimes they are super friendly, sometimes not so much. Prices are high, but they also have a decent selection.

Ive had friends rent gear and I have bought new equipment here. Every visit the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable. They suggest what gear is good for your needs, not what is the most expensive. Low pressure sales.

I was racing in Masters race the next day and the pro shop put a race wax on my super G skis while I waited, great job!

The Powder House is fantastic! The owners and staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful. My family has been renting skis and snowboards from the Powder House for more than 15 years. I highly recommend using the Powder House whether you are renting skis or need ski or snowboarding apparel.

Powder House is the best ski shop in Bend. I thought I could save money by buying ski boots on Pro Form. However, they broke through an act of god. Andy a Sales Rep at Powder House still took care of me. He worked with the manufacturer to get me new boots in under 24 hours. No amount of savings is worth the cost of not having customer service. I will only shop at Powder House for ski gear in Bend.

Andy did a great job of asking me questions about my ability and plans, explained the options for my snowboard boot purchase, measured carefully, and then came up with multiple good choices for me to consider.

Overpriced and rude-I cant go into this shop without feeling like Im interrupting the employees super-important work. They reluctantly assist and while I understand that they are not in charge of pricing they are obviously tasked to upsell if possible.Markup on local passes (NW Forest, Sno-Park) is insane, almost 20%. Go elsewhere.
