The line can be long but there is a fairly large package bin and most things I mail I just drop off in there. So far everything I have mailed from here has reached its destination sooner or later.

The line can get long sometimes, even with multiple stations open. But Ive always had a good experience here. All employees are polite and friendly. And theres always plenty of shipping supplies in the lobby!

Living in Sudden Valley, my hands are tied when it comes to how mail is delivered. That being said, it’s exhausting to have to rely on carriers that have absolutely no regard for the accurate delivery of our parcel. I have security camera footage of one delivery driver throwing one of my packages out of his vehicle, and regularly I have to ask my neighbors if they’re receiving my mail. I’m certainly not alone in being utterly annoyed by the lack of attention to detail that we receive, simply because we’re not in Bellingham proper. Totally unacceptable.

I cant believe this USPS has so many bad reviews. I go there all the time and theyre so nice and communicate well. They stay cheerful even though people can be grumpy. Its not their fault that the mail system is what it is. I appreciate you very much!

They deserve a negative score! I have never seen such awful delivery service. Often things go to the right house number but WRONG STREET. and to make it worse, The street they go to isnt even in this neighborhood! And there is no one to complain to. I am so tired of things going missing that now I pay extra to companies to be sure my stuff is delivered by UPS or FedEx.

I wish I could give this location a 0, but I cannot. Since January 2021, the amount of packages that were yellow slipped shot up a little over 80% for us, and most of the time the box is empty, and the package is small. Over the past week Ive had 2 packages that on the website are stated as held at post office at customers request, I have not held or requested a hold of any package at any time, and after I called the post office, it turns out they didnt even seem to have the packages. This location does not handle fragile items with care, and often I see my boxes come in with huge holes on the sides. Its gotten so bad at this location that the sheriff is getting involved.

Visits to the post office have been efficient. Mail delivery has been satisfactory. However, some of my more elderly neighbors have been putting mail out to be picked up, but the carrier DOES NOT DO IT. On a couple of occasions I have spoken with carriers and they have said that they do not pay attention to when the flag is put up to show that there are letters to be taken to the post office building. The carriers assume that the customer does not know what (s)he is doing … or else they carrier does not know what (s)he is doing as far as taking mail to be sent to another town/location.

They said my package was not able to be delivered to my door because it wasnt accessible, they then told me the package was lost. I try calling their # and its automated bs that does not help you. They said they would re deliver on next business day. 5 days later I had nothing so I went into the post office and a nice women helped me the best she could but said she couldnt find the package and I would get a call later that night. I got the call and was told they found the package cause they misplaced it for 5 days..... They then tell my they can deliver to my door on Sunday only, I asked why not today (Wednesday) they said only because the other days are dangerous which I have no clue what that meant. I asked the lady on the phone to let me speak to a supervisor. After being put on hold for about a min (phone on full volume and speaker phone) I hear something on the other line but it was very quiet. I then hear on the phone 10 seconds after being taken off hold I think theyre gone they gave me literally 10-15 seconds after being put on hold to respond. And I couldnt even tell after being taken off hold that I really was since I could barely hear anything from the other end. Im now gonna be forced to go back again to the post office since the phone number they called me on is private. And once again wait in a long line. This is the worst company to exist in the United States.

Great service. Super staff. Wish I has way to call customer service in there . The USPS auto did not work. My father retired from postal service after working 30 yrs in Tacoma. What a blessing to have our mail service. Ps. Love stamps and all the new collectibles. The USPS ROCKS!!!

Lazy. Every person has the same complaint about this location. These guys wont even bother with simple deliveries. Heaven forbid you order something from Amazon because they straight up dont deliver to the door if it doesnt fit in the mailbox. They send out notifications that the delivery attempt was failed at like 7am even if they arent bothering to deliver your items.Ive had to go to this location to pick up my packaged 4 times now. 👎🏻

This is absolutely the worst USPS location. I have almost every other package lost, not delivered on time, marked as delivered when it’s not or given to another tenant at my apartment complex. I’m also Amazon prime so I am basically paying for a membership with a postal service that ruins the entire point of the membership. I’ve called and spoke to the manager numerous times and they always say they’ll work on it not happening again and then it happens again within the same month. The employees when you call in are rude, short and quick to hang up despite me always trying to kindly express my concern or even just checking status on a package wrongly marked delivered. Also, good luck trying to get ahold of them! They constantly don’t answer the phone or managers say they will call back, and don’t. I used to live within the zip code of the downtown USPS and never once had an issue. Since I moved to this new location within the year I’ve had enough issues with packages for a lifetime. I’m so tired of waiting a month to receive packages they lose, having other tenants open my mail because they can’t find the right box or having to get packages resent all together. Management here needs to change and they could also use some fresh employees.

I have mostly had good experiences at this location. The staff have always been friendly, despite their grueling work dealing with impatient people. However, I drove by there today, needing to mail something, and the line of cars waiting to find a parking spot was actually blocking Orleans street. So instead, I went across to Sunset Square and popped into Sunset Postal. No line, friendly and helpful staff. If all you need to do is send something, they are a good alternative.

Had to wait in line over an hour for a package and they couldnt find it. That was over three weeks ago. Had to file a report with the post office two times and finally yesterday they found it. Dont try to call this local post office (Mt. Baker on Orleans street) they never answer their phone... never! I called several time and let it ring at least 100 times..no one answered! Government bureaucracy at its finest! 😡

Other employees were standing around not helping anyone and there were at least 10 people in line waiting to pick up packages. I finally had to leave so I wouldnt be late for work and still didnt get helped

Everytime I order something from Amazon I always get pink slips. No matter how small the package, Im always having to come to the post office for them to say wait a few more days to see if it shows up. Never does.I do get one day shipping and usually have to call the post office 2-3 days later or show up just to walk out empty handed.

USPS delivery drivers purposely ignore signs made for them.If it says please do knock, they knock out of spite and on purpose. Then they have extremely arrogant and rude behavior when talked about it.I have a newborn baby and toddler and they do not care about their sleep or well being.All I got was a shrug. And to call their supervisor. 5 calls later, one email and on hold for 30 minutes, so far, and so far no way to resolve this issue

I have never consistently been to a better post office. And i have been going here for over five years. Multiple times per month. Never had a bad experience with any of the staff or services.I felt like I had to write a review because of how bad a rating this post office has. The staff are amazing and always helpful as long as you aren’t yelling at them and treating them like they aren’t human beings doing their best (which I have often witnessed while in here and assume these are the people writing one and two star reviews).Even with package slip ups (which is 100% the fault of the sender or truck driver, not the counter staff!!) they are always so willing to help.Hint for calling: The number listed is he national number. Go to the USPS site and look up the area code and you will find the correct number to directly call this store for package tracking. I’ve done it multiple times with no issues.

When I asked for a small piece of tape last week when trying to attach a pre-printed address to a certified mail receipt, the USPS representative told me that the tape wasnt for you (meaning me), it was for us (meaning them). There were many other ways he could have declined. Also, lately there has been signficant trash and garbage, including food scraps such as chicken bones, in the lobby.

My Amazon package was sent back to the post office instead of being put on my doorstep like all other deliveries. And when I tried to track it just said “can be picked up at local post office” well, there are 3 post offices in town and you can’t speak to an actual human to find out where your package is being held. Basically you have to drive all over town trying to find your package that should have been left at your door.

You can pay for Priority Mail and hope for 2 day shipping, but the reality is 7 to 10 days arrival. USPS Express mail is 3x the Priority Mail cost and is the only one they guarantee. Pay for UPS or FedEx if time and money matters.

Go in to pick up a package. Package pickup has a separate line so its pretty quick. They go back to look for my package. Come back and say they cant find it. Come back another time. I ask if they can just deliver it to my door if they find it. No, we dont deliver packages to that address, youll just have tk come back when we find it. Unwilling to help at all. Just keeps telling me that because they are so incompetent, they have managed to lose a package, and will not even attempt to get that package to me in anyway. This has happened to me 3 times now. Once I had to file a missing package report and like magic they found it the next day. I still had to go there and pick it up. I used to work at a post office. It is not hard at all to have some organization in the back. And if you manage to lose a package, when you find it, maybe make an exception to the rule and deliver it to my door, which is only a short walk away from the mailbox anyway. The staff in the office are usually nice and helpful, this lady is not

Theres no 0 star optionThe mail delivery here in Bellingham is AWFUL. CONSTANTLY RECEIVING OTHERS MAIL AND NOT RECEIVING MY OWN. I have been waiting weeks for 2 packets of important papers after calling both places they were sent weeks ago. My guess is the mail went to the wrong address. This happens often. In my area people just throw away keep or leave laying on the box if its not theirs. There has been times I have received mail after 7pm and few times no delivery at all. Very unprofessional drivers speeding through parking lot quickly just throwing mail in and speeding off. So so infuriating. Come on get with it. If you cant read an address you have no business delivering mail.

I hope you read this. Address 4071 home rd has a mailbox at the road, then a big one in the parking lot big and tan clearly marked with apartment numbers. If your drive delivers mail one more time to the box on the road and my package gets stolen for the third time your store will be in trouble. My address clearly has a apartment number deliver to the correct address!!

I have always received good service and care with all the staff. In addition, when I arrive in between 8:30a and 10:30a there is never a wait more than a couple minutes at worst; at best only one person in front of me in line. The only suggestion I would make is to have more pick up package mailboxes for bigger packages. That way I dont have to go through the line that takes way from another customer when the staff goes back to hunt for my package.

The staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful. They take the time necessary to fully process my packages, get stamps and deal with any questions I may have. There SHOULD be some way to process pick-ups only more quickly and efficiently. There are some things that just cant be done at the self-serve facility in the lobby, so its through the line for me most of the time. The staff does their best and are very nice -- even if the customers arent always polite. It goes both ways, folks.

Ive been at home all day and apparently they attempted to deliver my packages AND leave notice slips for me. Of course I checked both my front and back doors once I was notified of this only to learn it was a lie, no slips were left for me. I called the local number TWICE to have them redeliever or explain themselves and it rang for about 3 minutes until I got a busy signal. This place is always busy when you stop by and if you do get someone on the phone they are rude or hang up if you didnt call the correct number.

This is the most disorganized, dysfunctional business I have ever dealt with. Sometimes thet have multiple lines, sometimes they dont. They do not announce whether they have 2 lines or 1, there is no sign indicating what to do. So you may wait in line for minimum 20 min to be told then, you have to wait in another line. And most of the employees are incredibly rude and demeaning. I have been here too many times to count and this has been an issue for years. Apparently management doesnt care?

In the last month alone they have delivered 3 of 17 packages to my door, they didn’t even put them on the truck I took video of the employee and asked why he didn’t even put my package on the truck and he said they’re not required to deliver every package to the door, when I came in to file a complaint I was told to leave or I would be removed by law enforcement when I told them to go ahead and call the police the man I was talking to walked to the back and stayed there for 27 minutes until another woman came out and told me there was nothing they could do for me. They have lost 11 packages over the last year, delayed my business repeatedly by failing to deliver on time for packages with guaranteed delivery dates so they’re essentially thrives taking money for service they frequently don’t deliver on.

The laziest employees I have ever encountered. Somehow packages never end up getting delivered to our package box because the item is too big even though the mail boxes are huge, and they dont try to bring them to your door either so dont think you can stay home all day and still get your package. After getting the pink slip in your mailbox saying your package can be picked up from the post office the next day (conveniently only open during the hours most people are at work), actually waiting in line can take hours. I have tried to get the packages redelivered but the same thing happens and it just takes longer to get my package. They have a special pick-up line which is never actually manned when the line is out the door, and when it is manned the employee will spend up to 20 minutes looking for a single package in the back. How are they that unorganized?? Some employees are friendly but those are the ones dealing with the outgoing mail line, the package pickup people are super unhelpful and usually rude. Oh ya, and a package was supposed to be delivered to me, wasnt there when it said it would be, no pink slip but tracking said it had failed to deliver, went to the post office and after about 25 minutes of waiting and explaining the situation someone eventually found it. Tried to call USPS customer service but its all automated lmao. I cant express my frustration enough.

The only think they did was pass me off from person to person only for a completely inept Russian supervisor threatening legal action for a lack of knowledge their tight shipping rules. I dont usually give bad reviews but I think this one is well deserved. Payed for shipping and waited all day at home for my package to get there. Never came so I assumed maybe they were behind and I would receive it the next day . Same thing never got anything . Never left a slip or anything telling me where to pick my package up. Except I knew I didnt miss it because I stayed home waiting for it to get there. They were my contacts to see so that I could drive safely to and from work . Tracked my package the next day to try to find out where it was as I then had to work for the next 5 days. Only to find out that it was at the bellingham post office and they were sending it back that day because Im assuming they didnt want it taking up space in the post office except they never even sent it to my house. Package was delayed by a day. Was sitting in my driveway in my vehicle when the mail truck drove to the community mailbox. After dropping off the mail the driver left without attempting to deliver my large parcel. Upon looking in my mailbox he/she left a notice stating he/she tried to deliver it but it was too large. Apparently he/she didnt want to get out of the mail truck and really try to deliver the parcel in the rain. Had an attempt been made he/she would have met me at the front of my driveway where I was sitting.

Never had any problems with the office directly, and in fact theyve been very efficient & pleasant to deal with face to face. So for the office itself, theyre all well and good.Although theres at least one driver (who usually does the Weds mail runs out to Sudden Valley) who doesnt even bother checking if were home before just leaving a note in our mailbox rather then drop off a large delivery. Considering theres only one car for the family & getting to work, and two stay-at-home members require medicine dropped off, it can be a bit of a pain to get into town during work before it closes. The rest of the week, theyre fine and in fact several of them have gone out of their way to be helpful. Its just whoever works Wednesday is a lazy bum.

I have had nothing but issues with this post office. From being away for a weekend, they decided I must have moved so stopped delivering my mail and began returning to sender. It was two days! Now a shipper put the wrong zipcode on a package, and I get one story from the window clerk, a supervisor ten minutes later, who then disappears and dumps it on the post master Daniel, who refuses to even let me complete a sentence. States he cant update with the tracking information the zip code (yes you can, my father worked for the post office for twenty plus years----he was able to do this simple thing). Daniel also gave me a completely different story from the clerk and the supervisor. Ill only be using UPS or FedEx from here on out. Useless, clueless, rude---

I really wish they would stop bending the mail in half. When they make their “packets” they usually use advertisements to bend in half to hold other mail. That in and of itself is annoying but I let it slide because they have their own system or whatever. Today, however, I just received tax documents that clearly stated DO NOT BEND and it was bent in half. Come on guys. I even talked to a man on the phone about it and he wasn’t very reassuring about that not happening in the future.

They dont leave notices for attempted delivery. They dont leave notices telling you to reschedule delivery when the tracking online says there was an attempted delivery. Then when you show up without proper info, they get mad at you and act like youre taking time out of their day when theyre essentially stealing mail.

Someone sent me a really simple, straight-forward package (a blanket in a box) that this post office refused to deliver on multiple occasions. When I did everything I could to get it delivered -- I signed for it, I filled in multiple redelivery slips, and I waited to see if I could hear the door on specific days -- it just got sent back days before the final pick it up from the office date.This is going to be expensive for me to get shipped again, and Im extremely disappointed in this offices atrocious service and absolutely incompetent, half-hearted pretenses at communication. They clearly dont care about doing their jobs even vaguely responsibly, and I desperately wish my mail was coming through literally any other post office in town.

I was supposed receive electronics and I checked my mail and I found a key in there. The key was so I could open the big box and take my mail out. The key said box #3p. They need to update that automated system on their phone to something more personal because the number provided is terrible, and very complicated to get a live rep to discuss MY particular issue that is irrelevant to the options. I often get things re-mailed to me, and still, nothing arrives, but basic bills and such does arrive. Very frustrating to deal with.

Had a signed package coming my way and was left one of those notes on my door for re-delivery, so I went online and requested for it to be held at this post office. Went in the next day only to be told that the carrier took it out for delivery again. I told the worker that no one will be home to sign for it like the day before. We arranged for it to be held at the office for real this time. The next day (day 3) I went in to pick up my package, the worker spends close to 10 minutes trying to find it only to turn me away cause he cant find it at the moment. The incompetency and un-organization of the Orleans St USPS is baffling.

The fact I even have to give them a single star is issue #1. They will smile, take your money, say have a nice day, then drop-kick your one-of-a-kind piece across the continental U.S. And when that insurance claim comes for the package that was run over by a forklift, they will conveniently investigate and say there was no damage and the hand-made carving was not, in fact, dropped, rolled, pummeled and ABUSED. The fact these criminals are allowed to do what they do is insane. NEVER again will they receive my business. Will it cost me more? This Post Office sucks do not waste your time. Too busy, not enough people to handle the customers. The USPS makes no sense in Bham.. You have two Post Offices a tenth of a mile away from each other Downtown, and then the only other one is this one on Sunset.. SO, most of the City ends up going to this hell hole.Everything in this place moves in slow motion. Nothing needs an automation overhaul more than our Post Office system, its unreal how long it takes to get a dang package delivered or picked up. It takes them 5 mins just to find a package in the back.Lastly, leave yourself extra time for this Post Office. I had to bail out of a line a couple of days ago after 15 minutes because I had to get to work. On top of that the parking lot is usually almost full too.I would suggest taking 2 shots of Vodka if it looks crowded when you pull in the parking lot. By the time you leave you will be stoned cold sober anyway, and the line that you will be standing in will be much more tolerable.

I have never actually wanted to give a zero score before, to say this post office is a joke would be a compliment! They constantly screw up your mail and not.one single package has ever been successfully delivered to my apartment. They have sent back every single one of my orders within 48 hours even tho you are supposed to have a week because their storage is full. My mom came here, waited in an hour line, only to be told she couldnt send perfume. The employee was bossy and ungrateful to her. Embarrassing. Its almost always packed, and whenever our Amazon package is to big to be in the mailbox we have to come to this horrid place. Nope.

Came in as another customer was coming out at 5:00pm. Snarky guy with an unkempt beard behind the counter smiled with glee as he refused to serve me and told me to get out. Apparently by his watch it was quitting time. Ok, fine. I can send my package at outside without your help. Oh wait...no I cant....no insurance forms outside (required for insurance claim). No pens outside to address anything our fill out forms anyway. Of course, no one politely suggested I use the automated machine....simply GTFO. Filed a complaint, but it would take an act of Congress to get anything changed. These employees should be embarrassed, but as long as they get their pay check....

This post actually from his wife, Ami. So on Monday, January 1st, my Mom sent me a pretty important package consisting of; some viral documents, priceless pictures of my daughters and a check for my Birthday. She didnt feel it necessary to insure the parcel but made certain to get a tracking number, just in case. Well, i waited and waited and finally mid-month, i contacted my Mom to ask her when she sent it out. When i realized it had been 2 weeks since she did, i began to get concerned. However, i HAD just been given a pink notification slip from the PO informing me that they, indeed, recieve my parcel which apparently was too large to fit in my PO Box. I needed to come in to the office to retrieve it. All i had to do was present it to one of the workers there. Well, unfortunately, in doing so i learned that it had mysteriously gone missing.😏😵and to keep checking back to see if it had been found. I was quit distraught at that moment, but decided to do things their way. Finally, after multiple attempts, i spoke with the general manager about my ordeal and gave him the tracking number. He replied saying that the number was not coming up in their system and actually tried to blame My Moms PO for the mixup and instructed ME to do the leg work to track it down! Thats when i told him that obviously the package was at their location bc i recieved a pink slip informing me of such. Afterall it was HIS responsibility (his job) to track it down not me! He just sighed, threw his hands in the air and again exclaimed that without the tracking number they have no idea where it could be; basically implying its my problem, my responsibility to track it down. Im sorry but i feel he should have made it a priority to at least look intently for a parcel that had been proven to be in their building!, At least throw me a bone and pretend to care! Anyway, my Mom decided shed send me a 2nd rendition of the 1st parcel and as angry as we were we decided to consider the 1st package gone. It had grown wings and flew out into the cosmos; the same place where lone socks go while in the dryer. Lol Then low and behold, just yesterday, January 29, (28 days/almost a month later) and without a courtesy phone call from the PO altering me it had been found and apologizing for the inconvenience and delay, there it was. Upon recieving it (IN MY P.O. BOX where they earlier stated it was too large to fit!) I found the package ripped and bended. As a result, my pictures were ruined and my documents and bday check barely surviving the ordeal. I think my story speaks volumes about how unprofessional, rude and unhelpful this PO has become. Its its sad , bc theyre going to loose most of their customers. I, for one, am longer trusting with my incoming and outgoing mail or to even try to perform and supply good service.😞

This office is seriously a joke. I expected a package with my passport yesterday. It never arrived so I looked it up. It said it was undeliverable as addressed. I called USPS directly to figure out where it went (because, yknow, a passport is important). Not only was I hung up on several times, I couldnt get through to an operator. It repeatedly told me that option was unavailable even when none of their other options fit the reason for my phone call. After getting through to someone (an HOUR later and thoroughly livid), I got a smart ass that decided to tell me that normal working hours arent from 9AM to 5PM (the hours I work) and that I should be able to sign for my package. After getting it routed so I could pick it up immediately at this post office, I show up at the post office with ID in hand (an ID that has the SAME name and address of where it is supposed to be shipped, fyi). They cant find it. They see that it was marked undeliverable as addressed but they need a tracking number as well. Lucky for me, I left the tracking number at home by mistake. They cant even look it up onsite with the information provided. The lady that helped me obviously hated her job and was completely dead-pan the entire encounter. No empathy, no humanness, no nothing. Oh but the story goes on! Got back home (with my tracking number) and called this particular post office once more to see if they could find it so I could pick it up later. After being on hold (not a big deal), I get told a supervisor will have to call me back shortly. Its over an hour later, still no call. Problem still unresolved.

If i could give the a lower score i would. I ordered a package and low and behold it says delivered. i go out and check my mailbox and guess what i dont find, my package. They dont have a live chat or anything and their contact number is nothing but a scam in itself.

These workers would never make it out in the private sector. It’s always one or two sloth like employees shuffling around while the lines are literally out the door. Ever see Zootpoia with the sloths working behind the counter? That’s this branch of the post office. I also go to the Lynden and downtown branch and they seem to be functional but over the past ten years I’ve lived in the area, the Orleans street branch has to be purgatory on Earth.

This review is directed towards the mail carrier system from this facility. There have been multiple occasions of undelivered packages without attempt due to the carriers unreasonable excuses and lack of care of priority mail. In most cases these packages are needed in a timely manor for business purpose and cost me money every day without. When there is a choice available, I will no longer support the USPS for my packages, shipped or delivered. Just yesterday, my mother complained about how rude her postal carrier is and he leaves the gate open to their property, knowing they have a dog, this is another route and different postal carrier but from the same facility. Seems to me they have too much free choice in their job, your mail doesnt matter to them. UPS and Fedex make it happen every time, on time and have always been friendly. The reason for this review is in hope others will join me in choosing independent carriers such as UPS and FedEx.

They lock the doors at literally 4:59 and didnt let me get a postage stamp that I needed to get for urgent mail even though they had like 10 people in line. I dont really understand why the retail department of the store is 9-5 because most people are working during those times...

Repeated packages returned to sender because their kiosk didnt take the correct weight. This has now cost me over $100 in extra shipping charges, delays, and spoiled time sensitive product.

The employees seemed nice enough, but the supervisor is worthless. I spent more time waiting for him to go ask someone in the back answers to my questions than dealing with him. I could write a novel about his attitude and ineptitude.
