Took my 2004 Audi here to see what the check engine light was on for and got told it was a exhaust downpipe. They were honest and told me it was non critical which as a college student I definitely appreciated. Im glad to leave a 5 star review for the checkup they did on the car for me for FREE and they were very honest. While I didnt order the work since it was non critical I thought I could at least repay the business with an excellent review for their time. Would reccomend!

Very reasonably priced and professional.I have a 2003 Saab the mechanics in my area told me there was nothing they could do (after they charged me $500 to fix something that wasn’t broken) my car was smoking uncontrollably out of the exhaust. I took it to Augustine automotive they diagnosed it the same day and repaired it the next day for less than $200. I bought my car used from an auction which was very risky but Augustine has been so reliable literally a God sent! Friendly,honest professionals!

Augustine Automotive is amazing, its like doing business with a close family member; even my skeptical bride loves and trusts them. Not only are these guys men of integrity, but highly competent and personable. They are reasonably priced and we know they will do only whats needed--its great not having to look back, wondering.Also, they are flexible. While they specialize in European, weve got a classic American made Saturn and a newer Honda Pilot. It doesnt get any better than this.

I previously had the greatest experiences ever at this establishment (2014-2015). By 2016, the customer service and integrity went totally out of the window. I have lost 2 vehicles to Augustine with them showing not a bit of care or remorse. I refused to listen to a friend who had recently lost her Jetta as they fixed an entirely wrong part and ruined her vehicle. I first took my Mercedes Benz in with a non working radio and a leaking trunk. The leaking trunk was the major issue since the battery is located in the trunk. I asked for assistance in locating a radio that would fit; after a couple of months, I decided to go on Amazon and order one. They assisted me in picking it out and I brought it in to be installed. 1 month later, nothing had been done. 2 months later, I was told that the car had been sitting so long that it needed a new suspension. After $1700 and a regular suspension, a mechanic friend of mine asked me to get the old air shocks back. I was told to come in and retrieve them. However, they were never found and returned. These air shocks are worth money (I didn’t know it). I again asked about the leaky trunk and he told me that he wanted to try a couple of other things and would get back to me. After several months, my radio was never installed and the leaky trunk was never addressed. I was foolish enough to let Peter then work on my Kia Amanti that my daughter drove. We constantly brought it in over ether course of 2 months due to smelling anti-freeze and asked them to check it. Peter would constantly tell me that he had checked it even though I was sure that the car had not moved. I worked down the street and could constantly observe. I asked that he just tell me if he didn’t have time and he assured me that he did. We brought it in one last time on a Thursday, we were told that nothing was wrong. On Friday, My daughter was driving back from school practice at 10pm on the back road and her interior of the car filled with smoke, had it towed to Peter and was told that it had blown a head gasket and that I needed to get it off of the lot. He treated me like this, putting my daughter and I in danger after I gifted him a Geo Metro when I was told that his mechanic had a sister that was desolate. I basically gifted him a 1993 Jeep Wrangler that just needed the already provided transfer case put in and I referred numerous clients. Fischer’s Automotive in Xenia fixed trunk to the Mercedes by tightening the seals and removing two plugs to drain the water. My experience with Augustine Automotive totally changed my life as we felt just thrown away like pieces of trash and I truly feel for those who would not have had the means of recovering from this type of situation. I had been advised to sue but I met his beautiful family and would never want to do anything to ruin him. Hopefully this post might trigger a more God like attitude from him and a feeling of remorse when doing an injustice!!!!

I wont take my 2005 Beetle anywhere else. Its difficult and frustrating to find a great mechanic these days especially if you are a woman! They are fair and honest. I like the fact that they communicate well and keep me informed as to what they are doing during the repair process. I have referred several friends there and they are happy as well.

I went in for what appeared to be a blown head gasket. I was surprised to be informed that it was not a blown head gasket, but a common issue among Audis that was easily remedied. During the inspection, however, they found that I had other issues that needed attention. Had it not been for their attention to detail and accuracy in diagnosis I couldve spent a lot of money on non-issues and then never resolved the real issues that could have caused major damage to my vehicle. Peter is extremely professional and operates this business with the utmost integrity, he will not overcharge or sell you something you dont need. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and I imagine you would be hard pressed to find another group with as much knowledge, professionalism and integrity. In an industry that has a negative reputation, Augustine Automotive is a place you can trust! Theyll do the job and do it right. If you have a European vehicle that needs repaired, look no further!

Tried taking my VW around to several places around Dayton and this is by far the best repair shop. They know more about my car then the dealership and will not try to rip you off. This is the first place I havent had to check quotes online to make sure I am not getting screwed on pricing.

Being new to the area, Ive been going to different automotives for three years now for my 04 Audi including dealership repair services and seemingly popular auto shops alike but nothing compares to the quality, service, and value of Augustine. Not to mention how they make sure to give you an honest price BEFORE doing any work on your vehicle. Theyve had my car done by a day or less regardless of the services performed. Id assume theyre general very busy but every experience Ive had with them were all fair and personable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in need of European car service.

These guys a great! They are very polite and informative. The office is almost always busy but they will take the time to talk with me and answer all my questions. I like to do the simple jobs myself (brakes, oil, etc.) and they are happy to point me in the right direction.Theyve worked on my 2000 Jetta and 2003 Pilot without any complaints.

Best mechanics Ive ever used. Very knowledgeable about Volkswagens and other European cars. Rebuilt the engine on my passat and it is running better than it ever has! Wont use anyone but them in the future.

Joe is a great and knowledgeable mechanic BUT Peter is straight full of it. I called 3 days in a row and left a voicemail to get a quote on tie rods. Unfortunately second time I called he forgot what I called for. I called the next day and once again had to remind him what I needed and Peter assured me again he would call back with a total and time to get me in. 4 Days Later Still Waiting. I cant force you to take my money and damn sure wont beg you. Sad thing is I referred several people to them and Im a loyal previous customer. This goes to show if they will treat a customer since 2013 like this, wouldnt want to be a customer.

I spent a little over $3,000 at other shops to get my car fixed but was never fixed. The last straw came when a transmission shop said I needed a new transmission. I took my car to Augustines and they said I dont need a transmission. They did some diagnostic work and changed the spark plugs and wires and it was fixed. I highly recommend them they are honest, fair and do great work.

I dont often let people work on my vehicles but after a recent injury I was left with no other choice but to have a shop take care of my Saab 9-5 Wagon. Long story short, Peter and Shawn took great care of me and my Saab for a new turbo. Ill be back for many. more things that I just dont want to do...

Took my BMW there to have wheel bearing replaced they had it done same day for cheaper than I could have done it myself. Also had my Jetta fixed by them I thought it was going to be transmission but they were able to isolate it to an electrical issue fixed that and the sensor and it drove great. For any job I dont feel like doing myself I always take it to Shawn.

Had a starter replaced here a year and a half ago for $350. Couple weeks ago the starter stopped working. I called the shop to see if they could give me any kind of a break on a new starter since it had only been a year and a half, they said they would call me back. A couple days went by and no return phone call. I ended up taking it to East David Automotive in Kettering. They had it fixed the next day for $250!!!Augustine overcharged for the repair, the part only lasted a year and a half, and wont return phone calls. Its been over a week now, the car is fixed, and I still havent heard back from Augustine. Poorly run shop, I think theyre in over their head.

Peter is a steely eyed parts finding guy. He spent a week calling junkyards looking for an unusable transmission that could be stripped of a part for my car. This car was not available new from the manufacturer. By doing this Peter saved me over $200.

I took my car with a problem, the mechanic said he has to lift up the car to estimate the cost of service. He did not talk anything about the diagnostic charge, made me sit there an hour just to look up the pricing for the parts and labor. In the end he gave an estimate and brought the car back. I asked them the estimate of replacing the part instead of just fixing it and they said they have to pull in the car again and spent another hour for that, to which I denied. He offered me to call the next day for the estimate which i did not get even after 4 days. They charged me $41 diagnostic too.

1997 Volvo 850 GLT was smoking real bad took to one shop(NOT AUGUSTINE)and the said turbo is bad @$1600 one week later smoke is back took back to shop and the said the rings were bad. TOOK TO AUGUSTINE the knew right what the problem was and fixed for $500 (and it was a job they really didnt want to do. Thank ou too pete and everyone else who made it possible for me too have such a nice car!

Been looking for a place that worked on mazda rx7s my car had been running horrible for a couple months.Found Augastines from a nearby mechanic called had an appointment the next day 24 hours later i had my car back with a tuneup cleaned out my intake checked everything from head to toe and even replace my fuel filter all for under 300 bux i thought it would be more than that.Friendly people will def recomend to friends and family!
